I came to Haru Sushi with high expectations due to its Michelin recommendation, but it fell short.
We ordered the chef’s special, expecting their best rolls, sashimi, and nigiri, but none of it impressed me. The fish wasn’t anything special, and the rice overpowered the flavor. The tuna and other red fish were quite tough, and honestly, the quality reminded me of sushi you can get at Whole Foods in the US.
We sat at the counter, and it was nice to watch the chefs work and see the plates being prepared.
Overall, don’t come here with high expectations. I’ve had significantly better sushi at casual neighborhood spots in the US.
