food was great, the atmosphere was great. but the big downside was when the check came! we did not notice that the 18% tip was included! so we over tipped the waitress and they did not get our attention on the fact that tips are included in the bill!!! it was not nice at all !

We had a party of eight and made reservation for the dinner. Big party allowed us to order different varieties of food and to taste more food. Haru has great selection in appetizers both cold & hot dishes, tuna tataki, yuzu sauce Brussels sprouts, and ceviche tacos are very good, the others are average. Sushi rolls and sashimi are fresh quality and not too expensive. We did not order any specialty sushi rolls as the prices are bit high. Overall our average per person was $50 and fair price to have Japanese dinner in Manhattan.

We had a nice lunch experience. The place was very busy. Service was good. Everything was fresh and portions were nicely sized. I will definitely go back next time I am in the area.

Second trip here. Great atmosphere. Had the sushi, salmon teriyaki and miso soup and all were great. Only gripe was 1st visit was told “can only seat you at bar or sushi bar” which was fine, but 8 tables remained empty throughout our stay. 2nd visit we made reservations, but weren’t even asked for them— were led straight to a table. Despite those minor quirks, food and experience is recommended. Though you may (or may not!) need reservations...

I was a little cautious about this place at first because of some reviews and because of its location next to Wall Street. I thought folks may have skewed reviews about what good sushi is. The reviews are right, this place is very good. I ordered the King Crab dumplings to start out which are served in the steam basket. They were delicious! You get to really just taste the sweet crab. For my main course I had the sushi sashimi combo. Every single piece of fish was very fresh! Each one! The sashimi melted like butter! It also comes with an eel/cucumber hand roll. Best eel I've had, hands down! Couldn't believe how good it was. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because of the lighting. I like to see what I am eating and in my opinion, this place is a tad to dim for me. It would be great for a romantic date though! Atmosphere is chill and the wait staff are attentive and what I really liked is that they helped one another out to look out for one another. I would come here again.

Was here in a group of ~13 people. The service was not friendly at all, even though we had a reservation done the day before, we waited for a few minutes at the counter. Water was not renewed for about 40 minutes, and there were no chance to ask for it. The rice and meat we're so dry I believe it was waiting to be served not less than 20-30 minutes. And the service itself was really slow. The interior is good though.

Beautiful restaurant, if you’re 2 people get a side table booth. Always fresh, great for a date or group of friends. On the expensive side.

Service was great, very friendly. Elderflower cooler cocktail was very refreshing! Shrimp and scallop dumplings were very good. Sushi was ok. Not the best, not the worst. They use pickled jalapeños inside their sushi, which is a big no-no for me.
