Harummanis

We had a very enjoyable lunch at Harummanis Dubai, where the food was consistently good with several standout dishes. The duck pancakes, lamb chops, Udang Goreng, and Rendang beef were all flavorful and well prepared. We finished with the Sarang Semut dessert, which was also very nice. What truly elevated the experience was the excellent service — attentive, warm, and professional throughout. A lovely spot for quality Malay cuisine in Dubai.

We decided to give Harummanis a go for dinner during our visit to Dubai in September 2025. The Modern Malay Singaporean cuisine was yummy and tasty with authentic flavours. Some of the notable entree and main dishes we had was their rojak buah, lempeng itik, kangkong belacan, signature beef rendang and the chicken satay with percik sauce. We also had the sarang semut for desert which was excellent to cap off the dinner. To top it off we were treated to several slices of their kuih lapis which brought back good memories and a variety of sambal belacan to taste test. Rupesh, our host was knowledgeable and weaved a story about the origins of the dishes served. Five stars overall, but 4 stars for atmosphere due to the malfunction to the aircon that night. I am sure the staff will get on-top of that, they did have temporary evap coolers that night which took the edge off the temperature and we were thankful for their efforts in keeping us comfortable.

An exceptional experience! The service is outstanding, the staff take the time to explain the story and inspiration behind each dish, which makes the meal even more special. The food is flavorful and full of character. You can really feel the passion and care in every detail. A must-visit spot if you appreciate authentic flavors and warm hospitality. The Lapis cake is the best cake I have ever had.

If you want to taste Malay culture in Downtown, this one is a nice choice. I really the last part that they offered the local dessert. It was so good and we love it.

What a culenary experience! An incredible take on modern malay cuisine with incredible décor, attention to detail and food that will make you want to come back for more the next day. Strongly recommend this hidden gem, in a city overflowing with options.

An unforgettable dining experience at Harummanis! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was absolutely amazing, each dish bursting with flavour and presented like a work of art. It’s impossible to choose a favourite, but if I had to recommend a few standouts: the chicken satay was tender and perfectly grilled, the chargrilled Ikan Pepes (seabass) was rich and aromatic, and the Beef Rendang, served with fragrant coconut rice, transported me straight back to my travel days in Asia. The perfume of the rice alone was enough to bring back beautiful memories 🥰 And then came the grand finale - the Harummanis Dessert! A true showstopper, both in presentation and taste. It was the perfect ending to an extraordinary meal. The restaurant’s decor is stunning, elegant yet warm, with a beautiful ambiance that makes you want to linger. The staff were absolutely fantastic: attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and hospitality. Harummanis is a gem. If you’re looking for an elevated Malay-Singaporean fusion dining experience, this is the place. I can’t wait to come back!

We went with a lot of expectations after reading all the reviews and since it's Michelin star. The food and service were totally underwhelming. I had pieces of shell in my clam starter, and the chciken rendang was nothing to write home about. The restaurant is also very warm for a summer lunch. I wonder if their regular chef went on holiday! Or just out luck that the food wasn't above par. Doubt that we will go back.
