"Over in Leimert Park, Harun Coffee is serving a first-class collection of smoothies, cold brews, and teas. The most delicious and perfect Temperature Matcha- Chai Latte! It’s on the sweet side, but you get a perfect balance of both flavors - matcha and chai. The temperature is on point-no burnt tongues here. Perfect medium-hot goodness. The space is open and refreshing -great art and decor. You could actually chill in the Bathroom nice relaxing wall paper and decor.

I came to Harun coffee fully expecting it to be a simple coffee shop where I could study and enjoy my evening. I had no idea there was another aspect to it, there's a Hamachi Hunters food truck right outside, and they're definitely integrated as I was able to pay for both inside Harun coffee. The coffee shop has a nice calm and enjoyable aesthetic to it. I will let the food truck pictures speak for themselves, it was absolutely incredible! The cook told me himself that he saw his cooking & presentation as a form of art, and I wholeheartedly agree and believe he's not only a great cook, but an incredible artist as well. Overall presentation was incredible throughout my experience, and I will most certainly be coming back!

Google
The doughnuts here are A-mazing and my Mom really enjoyed her chai tea. I ordered a blended matcha green tea for myself and unfortunately, it was made with too much ice so not very tasty. I also ordered avocado toast which was delicious. Despite the bad green tea, 3 out of 4 items were excellent so we'll be back! They also had an attached area with an art display of porcelain sneakers. This was fun to view while I was waiting for my food and drinks. Service was excellent, super friendly and fast.

Google
Really nice drip coffee - smooth yet bold!! Lots of metered parking available. Here is a picture of the avocado toast too. Staff are friendly and the space is organized and super clean.

Black-owned; clean; vegan donuts r 🔥. My Hazlenut Almond Latte was good too.

Google
I love the matcha here & the smoothies. However, the customer service is unwelcoming, the energy of the employees comes off very cold & uninviting. I would love to continue to support this business, but they make me feel like a nuisance, so I'm good to go elsewhere

Google
We wanted to love this place, but there was problem after problem. Highlights: they got my drink order wrong—I ordered a hot latte but got iced—but I accepted it anyway. The one thing they do get right is the coffee—the beans are delicious. The table we sat at first was so wobbly that our belongings jiggled off the table when we cut our pastries, which was a real feat since they seemed several days old, and after spending way too long in the oven warming up, were so dry we literally couldn't eat them. I am extremely averse to wasting food, but this was the first time that I have ever bitten into a baked good and it was just too tough and gross to eat any more. Since this was the fifth or sixth strike, we just tossed the food and got out of there without any further ado. A tip—when re-warming old pastry, at least mist it with water before re-heating—it does wonders! We proceeded to try an amazing cafe very nearby I won't name here, but have given a separate rave review to.

Google
Came here for a business meeting, with my self and one other person. The staff are amazing and given this was my first time at the coffee shop i took a while looking over the menu and they where very patient. I ordered the chai tea latte, which tasted great although had a bit more of a milk taste then what im use to although the ambiance is everything! Go visit

Yelp
Great community space, always hospitable, reliable WiFi, delicious smoothies, my go to chai. Heart of Leimert Park. Sit on the sidewalk and watch the world go by Check out the beautiful threads on offer and the plants, the plants!
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
I stumbled across this coffee shop while walking around the neighborhood. The place is very minimalistic, and has limited seating. There's a separate room for hosting meetings or events and they sell things there too. I wish they had more food variety and more comfortable seating. This place and location has great potential that I feel is untapped. The service was great but the coffee wasnt anything special that I would come back solely for. Overall, okay coffee shop.

Yelp
Aesthetic café and delicious coffee. We stopped by for iced coffee in the morning and enjoyed the art inside the shop as well as the friendly service. Parking is not too hard to find. I appreciated the beauty and foliage displayed in the shop. Super peaceful and chill environment I would want to stop by to hang out in for longer if we weren't in a rush. High quality coffee as well, would definitely stop by again!

Yelp
Please update your hours! Very inconvenient for customers to drive to the location and it being closed.

Yelp
Ambiance: Minimalist but very cute itside... clean and quiet. Enough seating for a couple of groups. I went midday on Friday, and it was fairly light inside. Service: Overall, I had a smooth experience. Simple menu, helpful and friendly batista. No complaints. Food: I loved my Chai Latte, perfectly sweet and creamy. My only regret is that I didn't get a large. Next time, I'll try one of the smoothies because they looked delicious.

Yelp
Myself and multiple other women close to me have all had hostile exchanges with the owner. The drinks already ain't it so that mixed with what energy I've encountered is enough to visit other cafes in the area and right across the street.
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
This spot is never open during the hours that they have on their sign or google or yelp or any darn site that says hours of operation! Like I have tried to come there multiple times and it's never open whether morning or afternoon! How?
google avatar

Nathan R.

Yelp
They got my order wrong, the staff was barely awake, then they gave me pastries that were completely dried out. Really disappointed, as the space is nice and the vibe inside is chill.

Yelp
Went to Harun Coffee this morning. Very cute and chill minimalistic environment. The service was quick and friendly. I got a cortado and iced latte and they were very good. The espresso was unlike anything I've had in LA so far. It was very rich and flavorful - well roasted. Definitely will go back for a smoothie and a matcha.

Yelp
ALL THE VIBES. I was looking for a coffee spot nearby an appointment in Liemert. Found this shop on Yelp, and I'm an immediate Stan. From the service to the coffee selections to the ambiance and the cute shop next door... loved it all. I tapped into their wifi, did a little work outside while sipping my coffee and enjoying the sun on a nice Saturday. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. Great customer service, coffee, and perfect location. I came here for an event hosted by Olbali and it was a hit. Thank you for the invite

Zach S.

Yelp
Came at 7:30am (they open at 7am) and weren't open. Threw off my whole morning and there weren't any other coffee shops open around. Won't be visiting again. Don't come expecting it to be open in the morning!
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place so much. It's easily my favorite place to Get chai lattes in the city! I can't believe I haven't checked in here more! Or reviewed it yet... I'm probably too busy conquering everything from the energy boost I get after eating here! It's a great place to get yourself organized or do some creative writing and bring your laptop and use WiFi too!

Xavier R.

Yelp
Nice to have a spot in the cut. I was hoping there'd be something close by, and right across the street was more than perfect. Great to have a weekly option.

Yelp
Came at 8:46 am on Wednesday and they aren't open maybe update hours. I was looking forward to trying this spot maybe never time?

Yelp
Love the changing artwork in here. My friend and I needed to kill time as we were waiting on our order from Worldwide Tacos; so we figured to stop by Harun. They were blasting one of my favorite PND songs and that's when I knew we came to the right place. I ordered an iced charcoal latte (think regular latte - sub oat milk and add in activated charcoal!) The sweetness of the oat milk brought it to life! The graininess of the charcoal gave it some texture and character to the smooth espresso. This coffee shop was extremely bright with natural lighting and illuminating white walls that had art spread throughout the place. There were some local items (apparel, postcards, etc.) for sale and this watermelon salsa that caught my eye... I didn't indulge, but I may be tempted next time! Haha. I saw a few people come in to catch up with friends, others came to study for a bit, and some just grab & go. A variety of visitors, which was dope to see. There were some vegan donuts on display, but since I was waiting for my main course, I didn't want to mess up my appetite! Definitely need to try the next time I visit. The people working here are great, as well! See you soon, Harun!
google avatar

Les A.

Yelp
I've only tried their smoothies and donuts so far, and I can say I enjoyed both. Even though they aren't a donut shop, their donut was the best frosted donut I've had in years. It was light, fluffy, sweet, and yummy; and they're vegan! Bonus. The staff are chill and kind. It's always a relaxed environment. The atmosphere is really pretty, intentional, and calm. Support a bomb, local, small Black business and check them out .

Yelp
I gave Harun a second chance after patronizing this establishment a couple years ago and having a less than stellar customer service experience. The coffee was also lackluster at that time. One thing changed since then. I recently returned and the customer service was top notch! However, I paid OVER $7 for a beverage and received the wrong beverage. The barista misunderstood my order and, to save him from wasting it, I told him I'd accept it. Never again. I overpaid for something I could have gotten, in a venti, from Starbucks, and actually enjoyed. (And also not driven out of my way for.) The music selections have actually been what's on point the couple times I've been there. The retail space next door also had some cool rugs I'd just seen on Instagram. That doesn't make up for the fact that I was served the wrong beverage and said beverage was made with sugar free syrup. Sugar free... (There were no options for flavored syrup with sugar, which makes NO sense.) Baby does not wanna eeee-eeee for Sugar Free, Free - at least not syrup. (If you know, you know.) I have since gone grocery shopping and will consume my iced coffee from home. A large bottle was $2 less than the cup I received and did not enjoy. I will not return, as this is clearly not the establishment for me. It is a really nice, clean space and the barista was cooler than an A/C on a 100 degree day, but I cannot support an establishment that cannot do right by me - whether customer service or quality of product. I do not discourage anyone else from being a patron, but I just won't return.

Yelp
Came here for a coffee one morning and it had such a cool vibe. They upsold me on their "secret menu" matcha waffle with bananas and pineapple and it was pretty good! The reason for the three stars though was the coffee :/ if I'm spending all this money on a mocha and an americano, I'd expect it to be better quality. The Americano tasted watered down and the mocha was super sweet. Also, they had no pastries available on a Tuesday morning at 8:30am which was a bummer. Would love to come back and give the place another chance though if they update their recipes. $23 for a small mocha, small americano and a waffle.

Yelp
This is a great establishment! I came on 10am on a Friday and there was only one other person there. The space was really nice with an attached art gallery. I also really liked how easy it was to Park- there was diagonal metered spots right in front. I got a dirty iced chai and it was pretty good. My husband got a gluten free doughnut that he also said was good and he doesn't usually like gluten-free things. The neighborhood is great with a park less than a block away.

Yelp
On my quest to spend money at as many BIPOC spots as possible this year, I hit up Harun Coffee to check out their selection of coffee and smoothies. I opted for the Unity smoothie (Acai, blueberries, strawberries, banana, granola, agave, almond milk) and the Forward smoothie which features: Harun's house blend espresso, almond milk, vegan chocolate syrup agave, chocolate protein powder, cacao powder (MUST TRY!) the coffee shop is bright, filled with natural light, and a section of the store floats into a mini African art gallery. There is metered parking in the area -- you'll need to walk a block to get to the shop. There is plenty of outdoor seating to chill and hangout, but please be mindful + respectful of the area you're entering as it is a safe space for the community. Other than that, please go support more black + small businesses throughout the year! Black-owned business Black-owned coffee shop Small business Vegan/Vegetarian friendly

Yelp
Customer service goes a long way, and my experience was really bad. I was very disappointed. I was visiting home for A week and I had a goal to hit up as many Black Owned coffee shops as I could during My visit. I was really excited about Harun coffee, I kept missing out because of the hours of operation had changed and they are only open on specific days. So finally the day I was flying out I finally made it. Excited I walked in, We weren't Greeted or made to feel welcome. The next customer that came in behind us stood in line in the doorway. A young lady at the counter rudely shouted to her and told her to close the door. The vibe was all off. But I shrugged it off I was still excited about my first visit! The customer ahead of me got finished and walked away, so I approached the counter and started looking at the menu and the girl behind the counter just looked at me. She didn't smile, she didn't greet me, she didn't say anything. it took her a moment to even ask me what I wanted to order. I'm not sure if she had a bad day or not but even the other 2 male workers seem to be dull due to the young ladies bad energy. I ordered a unity smoothie. My best friend changed her mind about even ordering because of the customer service. Once it was ready it was brought to the counter and there happened to be a miscommunication and mixup between the person making the smoothie and the young woman at the counter. one person said it was my smoothie the next person said it wasn't. finally the young woman insisted that it was my smoothie. So I took the smoothie and tasted it, and it was terrible it tasted like water no flavor just bland. I took the smoothie back inside with intentions to just get something else however the young lady's attitude was so bad when I told her that I didn't like the smoothie. She just took my smoothie turned around to her coworker and demanded a remake. I told her no ma'am I don't want another smoothie. she says "what else can I get" In a very snappy tone. At This moment, I simply told her you can just give me my money back she rolled her eyes walked over to the register. Started pressing buttons on the register, still no verbal communication on what she was doing. She never even offered. She looked at me and told me my money will be back on my card after watching me stand there. I honestly hate that I had this experience. I was really wanting it to be better. However it wasn't and I'm always going to post reviews about my experience and this one was not great maybe next time I'm in town I'll try it again and hope it is better

Yelp
Today was the opening day for the K line and I was very happy to visit Lemert Park and happen to Harun Coffee. I got delish vegan breakfast sandwich. The texture was perfectly egg like. And I got a strong black coffee all for about 13ish bucks.
google avatar

Tara J.

Yelp
Such an eclectic coffee shop to hang out. Fits perfectly in the Leimert Park area. Harun offers high quality coffee, tea, smoothies and small bites. There is also a small store inside selling apparel and featuring local artists. The store draws a lot of visits from notable hip hop and jazz artists. Show up to take in the black bohemian vibes and get some delicious coffee while you're at it.

Yelp
The most divine smoothie I think I've ever had...order the Unity Smoothie!!! Spotted this cute cafe when I was waiting in line for Eso Won Bookstore, so I popped in after I got my books. The cafe has a spacious interior and several distanced tables set up outdoors. Service was super chill and pleasant. I decided on the Unity smoothie after not really feeling up for caffeine and seeing so many posts on Yelp about the Unity. It was the perfect amount of sweetness (just a little), so creamy, banana and berry flavors poppin, super refreshing on a hot day like today, and overall it was just amazing. Admittedly the granola was a cute touch but a little awkward, because it can't fit through the straw. Anyways, I will have dreams about this smoothie and how beautiful it was. I also got a donut, but I wasn't a huge fan of the particular cake base they used. It was really fluffy and lightly sweet, but i have a personal preference for a denser cake donut with more frosting. I'm so excited to come back again for the smoothies and maybe the toast too!

Yelp
I hate to give a black owned company such a low rating, however, we as individuals have to take constructive criticism without being unprofessional. The reason I am even giving a two star is because our drinks were pretty good but I had to ask for a refund on the food because when asked if the food preparers could wash their hands, they caught a nasty attitude. Prior to, one of them coughed in their hands. In the days of Covid and monkey pox, sanitation should be priority and asking for someone to wash their hands while preparing food shouldn't be so far fetched.

Hanna M.

Yelp
I live close by and have tried many mornings to patron this place just to find it always closed (despite posted hours saying otherwise). It's frustrating. The one and only time I was able to find it open, they weren't that nice and there was a DJ set up in the front blasting music so loudly that I had to wait for my drink down the street to protect my baby's ears. Would love to have a local coffee place I can walk to and hoped Harun would be it, but I've unfortunately only been disappointed here.
google avatar

Gabriella F.

Yelp
I was early for a training in the area. Yelped coffee spots and this place popped up. Starbucks also was an option, but I decided to shop locally. The chai here is much better than SB. Wasn't gonna get a donut, but it looked good. It tasted a bit stale, but the crumble on top kept me going. People were hanging out and gave that "where everybody knows your name" vibe. I'd come back for sure to try some other items out.
google avatar

Sontrell H.

Yelp
Great vibe! Live DJ spinning while you enjoy coffee, smoothies, food. Good place to people watch. Everyone says hi or nods as you sit outside on patio chairs. And you cant help but to notice other nearby vendors selling their wares. Sidenote, the smell from the shop next door will draw you in. I purchased amazing oils and creams there ( forgot the name but trust me, worth the look). We needed up staying at Huran 5 hrs, people watching and enjoying the beautiful weather. Be sure to say hello to the owner, Chase (black shirt). Amazing person with a good spirit. This is now my go to Leimert Park stop!
google avatar

Elle K.

Yelp
They open extra early and when it's allowed, they set up table and chairs so you can bask in the glory of Leimert while reading the morning paper! They have vegan donuts and Southern girl cookies, and a small shop inside!! I bounce between here and Hot and Cool! #supportlocal #loveleimert

Yelp
I randomly picked this place on a Saturday afternoon to meet up with a friend for caffeine. It's cute and was surprisingly quiet. *The service was friendly and quick. *I ordered the Matcha with almond milk and my friend ordered the cappuccino. We both enjoyed our drinks. *I really like that this place is local and within walking distance. *I love the aesthetic. It's very clean, airy, and open here. I know theres more that I have yet to experience with this place so I plan on going back during a weekday to try more off the menu and maybe get an hour of work done remotely.

Mikey V.

Yelp
Good customer service but all the coffee drinks were oddly too sweet???
google avatar

Yelp
A clean and quiet place for amazing drinks. I had a delicious smoothie and the lady at the register was extremely nice. I was there for a book club meeting and what a perfect place to be.

Yelp
Nice vibes, good coffee, outdoor "patio" seating, great staff. Supporting small businesses in our neighborhood :)

Yelp
Finally made it out here, thanks to a photoshoot (shoutout to Leimert Park Threads)! This place is a really cute and modern coffee shop that is community oriented. I ordered a caramel latte and liked it. The espresso flavor was bold and didn't taste like every hipster latte I've had across LA that resembled one another. They've got multiple flavored syrups and both dairy and non dairy options (though they were out of oat milk when I was there sadly). For a medium cup it was about $5.50 so a comparable price to others. I saw pastries in a small case nearby that looked like donuts and were I to have been a lover of donuts their colors would have seduced me but alas, my body cannot welcome them. The decor is super simple and clean, which gives it a nice vibrant and upbeat appeal. Coincidentally there was another photoshoot happening inside the shop so I couldn't snag more photos but there's both an indoor and outdoor seating space, limited but comfortable. The bathroom is really well maintained and clean, but no mirror so you'll need a selfie cam to manage touch ups. All in all, this place is on my radar for future coffee dates! Plus the whole Leimert Park Village is a gorgeous place to soak up life.
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
This is a great spot to stop by and grab a cup of coffee. Very pleasant customer service and modern and clean decor. Great for a photo-op and also a great place to showcase art. A few artist have their art displayed and the crisp white walls really showcase the art beautifully. I went off the suggested menu and ordered a "dirty chai with almond milk" and its light and smooth and I enjoyed it tremendously. Another good experience is the playlist, they play very good music and it really brings all together in making it the perfect coffee spot.
google avatar

Ebony S.

Yelp
Artsy vibe and chill atmosphere. I've been in maybe three times and I always get a hot tea and maybe a pastry. Large, bright, airy open space to sit in that's adjacent to the serving area.
google avatar

Blake M.

Yelp
Just a wonderful neighborhood coffee shop in the middle of Leimert Park! Check this out... we've been waiting for a non-chain coffee shop for a long time in the neighborhood... They are still kinda new (been open since July) but the coffee is great, the atmosphere is super chill and the staff is really nice.... It's also connected to room with local art and some digs for sale -- love the overall vibe. Support your community! Nothing but love for this place!
google avatar

Melissa K.

Yelp
Ohhh MY GOOOOODNESS! Hands down the best TURKEY SANDWICH I have ever had!! And Charlie and Ari are the friendliest, most energetic people. I kept making the craziest sounds as I devoured that and the wOnderful smoothie they made for me...get there!!
google avatar

Nancy F.

Yelp
Went here a while ago. Coffee was terrible. Ordered an iced almond milk latte and for some reason it tasted sweet. Also got a chocolate chip cookie which was inedible. Hard as a rock... we ended up throwing it all away.
google avatar

Denis B.

Yelp
I rock with Harun just off of the community and also good service and coffee. When I went it was good seeing people enjoy the place while also talking to the owner who was really cool. If you're looking for a coffee spot that makes you feel pdf of the neighborhood Harun is the place for it.
google avatar

Minerva C.

Yelp
Delicious coffee and great authentic customer service! Lots of smiles to be had all around! Clean bright shop and they take Apple Pay along with practicing social distancing.
google avatar

Leah J.

Yelp
Best coffee in Los Angeles, hands down! The vegan donuts were so good I forgot I was eating vegan. Lol. A staple in the community for real. This place!
google avatar

Gosha K.

Yelp
Lovely coffee shop in Leimert Park. Great to have a spot like this to get some good coffee and an adjacent shop where they make and sell their own merch (t-shirts, hats, etc.).
google avatar

Clarity B.

Yelp
Walked in and was immediately greeted so warmly I could have cried. The menu is LEGIT, especially the coffee selection. Cortado? Yes please. Can't find those anywhere. I had the rice, chicken, and veggie bowl, and as a foodie, let me just say I have NEVER tried spices like that. Absolutely delectable. I could not pinpoint what the chef put in there but he made magic happen. I'm coming back for everything. Oh also the shop connected has really cool, highly intelligent merchandise. My husband got a great shirt and I might come back for those green velcro kicks.

Yelp
i always try to support black business as much as possible i had heard about this shop from a neighbor of mine so decided to try. HORRIBLE! the coffee was cold when i asked them to warm it I was met with attitude and even when the old man warmed it it was still luke warm at best.i love my black people but dont take advantage of that fact.ill just stick to south la cafe right around the corner .better attitude,WARMER COFFEE..ill never be bamboozled again..smh

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try Harun Coffee. I've been meaning to for a while, but I currently live in Sacramento. I ordered a iced vanilla latte with hazelnut and it was such a treat. I definitely enjoyed my latte but even more so enjoyed the customer service from Lela and Josiah. They were very welcoming, informative about the menu and provided awesome customer service. I was also happy to know that Harun's provides alternative milk options. I will definitely return to on my next trip.

Yelp
Two super super nice ladies helped me out immediately, vibe was good and smoothie was amazing

Yelp
I was happy to see they are open limited days and hours but still with us! I stopped by while taking an afternoon walk. The shop was immaculate and the young lady working was very friendly and pleasant. I ordered an iced coffee. She was wearing a beautiful afro centric face mask. She told me the masks were available through the shops Instagram. I bought 2!
