Yelp
Cons:
They charge a premium for the higher end items they sell. Their pricing is in line with Whole (paycheck) Foods.
Pro:
Quality and variety.
If I'm looking for blue potatoes or need gooseberries for a recipe, I'll probably take a poke @ Harvest Ranch first, since they're far more likelier to have more exotic, gourmet items available.
Basically, I like to come here to do a little bit of food exploring as they have interesting, gourmet items (esp. packaged foods like sauces, snacks, etc) that are not usually available at standard grocery stores. I like to drop by here to get inspired when I'm stuck in a food rut and want to make/try something interesting.
I have enjoyed items from their bakery, deli and meat department. However, it's not my first or preferred choice.
*For meat and most produce, I prefer Jimbo's (Jimbo's carries more local/organic veggies and free range/organic meats).
* They do have delicious sandwiches. However, less vegetarian options (I'm not vegetarian but boy do I love my veggies, and Jimbo's deli has tons of veggie options, so Jimbo's gets higher marks).
* Their bakery is decent, but for the price, I'd rather head over to Champagne Bakery next door and have my pastries there.
Decent beer and good wine selection.
Staff is very attentive and the store is always impeccable. The shopping experience has always been lovely here.
