I had the best burger of my life here.... no seriously, I'm so glad that was what I was in the mood for because now I know that I will have to drive at least 50 minutes from my home to get my burger craving correctly satisfied.
I got the local grass-fed beef burger that came on a sweet brioche bun.. topped with cheddar, lettuce, and tomato. I removed the tomato, added a little mayo and ketchup, and the rest is food heaven history. It was melt in your mouth good. I don't even think that I chewed. It came with a side of mac and cheese that was ok.. I'll feed that to my LO.
Ok, let me review the rest of experience..
It is connected to a mall, which is nice if you want to walk off your grub after. Upon entrance, I was impressed.. got there about 7:45 to a very lively atmosphere. I mean, this place seemed like the place to be! We sat at one of the tables for 2 in the bar area. My seat was a little messy, but our waitress had a good sense of humor about it, which turned what could have been a not so cool 2nd impression positive.
I ordered two drinks: red mango sangria, which was magnificent, and then the Farmer's Mule (ehh).. tasted decent enough. We shared the salmon flatbread (another hit!!), Kung Pao cauliflower wings--were not the best I've had, and the spicy thai calamari (so sorry.. this was bad.. nothing as described and the calamari was super tough). My friend's shrimp noodle bowl was divine.. I was so mad that I hadn't ordered, that is of course, until I bit into my burger.
Dessert portion was totally underwhelming. There is no menu, just a variety of mini mousse cups. I got the key lime one and didn't even finish it.. I think we'll just order another burger for dessert next time.
Service was attentive and pleasant, but at the end, it seemed to be lacking.. we had to wave her down to get my food wrapped and then get the check.
Overall, a very decent experience and will return.. not only because of the burger, LOL, but I love that it is farm to table, we were also told there is no freezer or microwave on the premise.. and you could tell.
