Harvest Seasonal Grill - Newtown

Giving my 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! We had a wonderful lunch today at Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar in Newtown. We reserved a table in advance, and everything from the moment we arrived was perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly attentive. Even the restroom was spotless. The food, though, is the real highlight — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We ordered the salmon, the Caesar salad with chicken, a dessert, and lemonade. Every dish was absolutely delicious and felt like a little masterpiece. We’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend!

I’ve been eating here for a couple of years, and I feel like it used to be very good — but that has changed. I could never go wrong with ordering salmon as a main dish, whether on top of a small salad for lunch or as an entrée. But the last few times, they totally messed it up and even undercooked it, despite me asking for it well-done (since I’m pregnant). I also had a server argue with me about ordering fries instead of rice for the kids — she stood there insisting I ordered rice, instead of just simply changing the side.

We had a fantastic lunch today! I enjoyed salmon, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The green beans were fresh and crisp, and the potatoes were deliciously seasoned. My husband had the boson burger, and it was just as excellent—juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. Overall, everything was perfect. Lots of gluten free options. Highly recommend!

Mid week dinner. No problem getting reservations for 4. The pace is in an area with a lot of newer restaurants. Its fairly large, well decorated and the A/C really cranks. The drinks were good not great...an old fashioned and manhattan. Appetizers were very good, as were most of the entrees. The only knock was the quality of steak in the steak salad. It was tough and had gristle. Service was good. I would go back and try it again.

This place is great for some fresh produce food and they taste delicious. We have been to this place couple times and both the times it was great. I love their hummus with veggies, such freshness never had such fresh hummus anywhere else. Other places hummus seems to lack the freshness. The other item on menu is the Cedar Roasted Salmon, which tasted great, such a balance of flavors. I am pretty picky to try salmon given the fishy smell which I am not a fan off , however Harvest did not disappoint me with the salmon. The other item which we tried was chicken Thai skewers, which were pretty good as well. I am glad that my friend has suggested this place. This place is bit on expensive end , however worth it for their fresh and quality food.

Butternut squash was great. Greek salad was good as was the salmon ordered on top which was broiled with butter. Dumplings were tasty if not light and fluffy. Put enough tasty sauce on them and does it really matter? Server, Gabriella (?) was helpful and very friendly. Chicken skewers in slaw were very tender. Slaw was crunchy with a light vinaigrette base and felt healthy to eat. Chile was good but unremarkable. Nice ambiance, great lighting and an enjoyable

Good restaurant with a nice selection of fresh, seasonal food. Would recommend any of their flatbreads. Their desserts are really cute as well! Definitely planning on coming again in the future.

Amazing food, the salad was really generous. The salmon dish presentation was pretty. What made me surprised was the dessert which didn’t have a super presentation but the taste was remarkable: Chocolate with salty caramel perfectly balanced, I strongly recommend it.

Had a wonderful meal today at Harvest. I loved the Autumn menu, and we all enjoyed our meal choices. I think our waitress was Carrie possibly or a name like that. She was attentive to our table and checked often that all was perfect. She also listened about my allergies and made sure everything I ordered would be safe. It was my birthday and so glad it was held at Harvest. Everything service, food , ambiance made it a very pleasant and enjoyable meal. Will look forward to my next visit.

July 29, 2024 - 4 for dinner. We are back 5 years later..... Made a reservation, but got seated at a row of booths right by the kitchen - very noisy. Asked to be moved and it was a bit of a problem it seemed although the place was fairly wide open on the OTHER side of the restaurant more quiet. We basically moved ourselves before the place filled up. In our party is a multi restauranter in Bucks County so he marshalled our re-deployment. (smile) Some confusion/delay on our coverage but eventually about 5 plus minutes later...... our server was AWESOME!! Ordered some normal fair and made a few substitutions. Food was served hot and fresh. Pretty good spot for dining and getting a healthy vegetable and whole food experience.

A great place to meet friends after work for dinner at in their booths or chill at the bar to sip from the collection of wines and spirits. They also have mocktial options. Harvest had a great variety of food, there's something for everyone. Our server, Nina, was great from the beginning to end! She was professional and knew a lot about the menu. She explained to us that there were Seasonal options on the menu too. We ended up sticking with the classics like the cedar roasted salmon which is actually cooked on a cedar plank and comes out like that.

Had an issue with food . I ordered steak medium rare . It was hard to cut , hard to chew, it literally was stuck in my throat . Manager came , offered replacement However , truth of the matter is that it was cheapest piece of meat very poorly cooked Chef should be ashamed to serve something like that .

The food was delicious and the waitstaff attentive. Excellent vegan options and food and was an overall great experience. We'll definitely head back.

Hannah my server is absolutely wonderfully attentive and helpful and welcoming. For our table we ordered the sesame chicken, the pumpkin soup, fried zucchini patty appetizer, as well as the Mediterranean Lamb skewers . The sesame chicken was absolutely fabulous as was the pumpkin soup. The item menu starts Monday and I'm excited to see the new offerings .

Fresh and light food - great flavors. Everything we had was wonderful and beautifully presented. Service was top notch and establishment is beautiful. Option to sit inside or outside, or at the bar.

My first visit to this place is a saga... Came on a hopping Saturday night prime dinner time, but had a reservation (recommend). Ambience was very romantic and comforting. You can watch the kitchen line hustling from afar. Upon jovial waiter greeting was advised many menu items were out of stock. Bummer. Started with mushroom soup (bland) and beet salad (delightfully fresh with ample mix-ins & good size to share with another). Cocktails were a bit on the sweeter side than expected but not terrible. For entrees the wood-grilled salmon for my friend (lackluster, no wow factor in flavor or accouterments) & the *springtime* scallops for me (FANTASTIC!!!) with the densest, yummy risotto. However only came with 3 on the smaller side--disappointing for the price. Wait time for entrees was exceedingly long. We did not complain. Felt the waiter could have given a bit more updates... finally, the manager explained the first scallops got burnt and had to remake. We received a free cocktail to compensate. Still an everlasting wait... but they were the best I have ever had so apology accepted. Additionally, the manager was gracious enough to include a $50 gift card with the check due to the extreme wait time. I really commend them for taking the initiative to apologize and make things right on their own vs. appeasing customer complaint. Bravo! Would return here, but truly hope the experience flows more smoothly.

Another place, similar to Rocco's at the Brick, which is super-close to me and where I really wish they were better. It's a really good looking restaurant, with a very intriguing menu, with prices that match. Unfortunately, the food quality just doesn't live up to what you would expect. If the food was 30% better or 30% cheaper, this would be more highly rated. Doubt we'll ever go back.

A gem of a place in the town of Newton in Bucks County. My first experience was with a GF after celebrating my bday. Liked it so much I brought the family the second time around. This place is farm to table (menu changes with the season) which is plus and great for the community. The service was perfect with knowledgeable servers and food was flavorable. Will definitely come back

Came by for the first time in a while. We used to come here pretty regularly for meals, happy hour and wine tastings. Ambiance is a tad more than a neighborhood bar. A bit more upscale. We sat at the bar and the place was already quite crowded. It was 5pm on a Friday. We got a couple of cocktails which were both prepared perfectly. My martini was excellent and my wife's springtime sangria was great. We ordered a few appetizers Flatbread and Potstickers both of which were very tasty. We also ordered a Peruvian chicken lettuce wrap which was also good but only half the order came. There was not enough lettuce and no plantain chips. We reported this to the bartender. A decent value ~$70 for the two of us. Mark.

I am a fan of Harvest. However I am extremely shocked and disappointed that our party of 12 "locals" were turned down for our reservation and we are now going to Iron Hill Brewery. The reason we are turned down...we were planning on going for "happy hour" and bc our party of 12 is too big for the bar area where the happy hour is...they will not accomodate us in another area of the restaurant and refuse the happy hour specials and drinks. There is a private section close to the bar and we were refused that area also. To me this sounds extremely foolish and a poor decision on the management.

Delightful dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the Squash Blossom Rigatoni. You can get it with or without protein. I added salmon to mine. The flavor in this dish danced on my palate! I was hesitant to order it at first because i'm not a huge pesto fan. If you can get me to eat cherry tomatoes and pesto it must be the taste of total deliciousness! You can taste the wholesomeness of farm to plate. Nothing taste like it came out of a can or was premade. You can taste the freshness. Fresh vegetables / unprocessed food makes such a huge difference. The Peruvian Chicken was good, however i was expecting more Peruvian seasoning. There wasn't much of a difference in the taste as regular roasted chicken. The chicken was also a little on the dry side instead of moist. The drinks here are spot on! Highly recommend the blackberry lemon fizz if you like a little tart/sweet mix. And if you want to put a little hair on your chest try their house version of an old fashion! Overall great experience.

Harvest Seasonal Grill absolutely nailed it! We came with a group of 8 (9 including my beautiful baby niece) for a birthday dinner. My date and I traveled from the city for this and from start to finish everything was fantastic. Our server was enthusiastic about their mission and the taste, presentation and overall experience shined through until the very end. First, if you have any dietary restrictions this is the place for you. If you're coming with a group I highly suggest making a reservation. It's family friendly but the ambiance is suitable for any occasion. Girls night out, date night, whatever! When ordering you really can not go wrong. Go with your gut and get something you love like a grass fed burger, or be adventurous and try the sea scallops. Either way you will leave satisfied. From the music they played in the restroom, to the busting flavor in every dish, down to the way I felt when I left. Harvest seasonal grille has a place on my list. Thank you!

We had a great dinner there last night. It was extremely crowded but you could really see how the staff worked as a team and supported each other. The food was fantastic, I wait all year for this menu because the butternut squash dip! Holy cow amazing. Also has a fall cider mocktail! Yuummmm!I want to give a shout out and huge thank you to the runner - Logan. Our waitress was beyondddd busy and Logan grabbed us everything we needed and even got us answers to questions about the menu. All with a smile on his face! Not a place to Miss when in Newtown!

I love that this healthy restaurant is in the area! I always hope the un-fried potatoes will be good, ha, but they never are.

Had an amazing meal last night. The trout was cooked to perfection. The winter salad was so tasty.

Have been here several times in the past few years and every time I've gone, they've blown my expectations. Staff is always very friendly and attentive to any sensitivities or allergies, and their list of wines do rotate but they always have selections for every palate- as for the space and the layout, they have a open bar and tables for dining, including a back room for private events. (Will post pictures after next visit)

Came here on July 4th and sat at the outdoor area. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and were seated without a reservation within five minutes. I ordered a vodka martini and the seasoned edamame. Both were delicious. My friend ordered the roasted chicken. He ate the entire portion. We had the nicest and friendliest waitress, Angela. Having her as our waitress made our dinner that much more enjoyable.

Absolutely awesome restaurant for quick and healthy semi casual restaurant! I love how many healthy and delicious food options they have, plus an entire vegan section! The pear blue cheese flat bread is so good. Also I absolutely loved my grilled salmon and potatoes. The vegan butternut squash pasta was so flavorful and dense, more than enough for one person! Also they have an entire mocktail section! Makes life easy for those who may not be drinking. Absolutely great experience and service!

We were fortunate enough to have been able to host our daughter's rehearsal dinner at this fine establishment! From the onset of the planning stage with Jenn, the event manager for all of the Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bars and the outstanding communication regarding menus, bar service, private room setup, right up to the evening of the event, this was a hassle free experience! We had two of the greatest folks taking care of us during the dinner, Brendan and Jordan...these two folks worked non stop to ensure our every need was met-drinks were delivered in a timely fashion, appetizers were delivered without delay, and the meal was served with such speed that all 40 of us were eating at the same time! Amazing! The food choices for the dinner were masterfully presented, and tasted outstanding! I heard no complaints from our guests, and after looking around the room, all plates were finished! Desserts were outstanding, and a very nice finish to a great meal! I can't thank the folks at the Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar enough for starting off our wedding weekend on the right path! Thinking about holding an event and needing a worry free experience-go with Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar!

The food has improved greatly since the last time I was there. The service was great. It was also nice to be able to eat outside.

Very overrated and trendy for no real reason. Their featured menu is extremely limited and their staff is pretty creepy to be completely honest.

What a unique experience. Menu changes with each season. The food is delicious. I highly recommend dining here.

We visited Harvest for the preview of their spring menu. The event was a great way to get to try out some of the wonderful new dishes they are serving. We sat outside, and it was nice to have a small heater on our table, although it did have to be replaced halfway through the meal. For our first course, I had the spring garden flatbread and my boyfriend had the sweat pea and avocado toast. I was impressed at the portion sizes, but both dishes were very light. The flatbread was very thin, like a few layers of puff pastry, and had a light scattering of toppings instead of being fully covered. Both dishes were very good. For my entree, I had the seared Chilean sea bass, which was excellent. It was cooked to perfection, and the accompaniments created a great flavor profile. One disappointment for this dinner was they did not have a spring cocktail menu available. However, I ordered a wine flight and I thought the pours were generous and the selection was good. Finally, we finished our meal with dessert. I loved that the desserts were served in small cups, parfait style. It's the perfect amount to enjoy but not be too filling. I wish they had had a chocolate option available, but my limoncello ricotta pound cake was delicious.

Some of the best food I've had in my life. It's always consistent with high quality ingredients. Amazing fast polite service. Nice calm place to relax and have a drink with some great food.

The food was good but what I found most remarkable was how dog friendly they were; they really exceeded my expectations by bringing out a water bowl and some dried chicken dog treats for my little one.

Visiting for work and looked for someone decent to take the team. Uber driver recommended harvest and we were blown away! Service was great, and food was delish. Amazing wine (storyteller, get it!) We had a bit of an issue with the cook on the filet and the staff/ manager replaced it quickly, no questions asked and was so polite about it. Def would recommend this to anyone in the area!

One of our favorite places in Newtown PA. Great ambience and great servers! We just avoid the back wall booths, because you become hidden from the servers and then have forgotten about our table. We love the menu and the healthy choices. Our favorite is the Salmon BLT Sandwich, Soups, Flatbreads, Grass Fed Burger. Sides are great also. In the summer on a Thursday night, they had outdoor entertainment and it was so much fun! Get to know their menu and you will find your favorite. Highly Recommend

I have been comming to this place since it has open. Get food. Get location. Great sevice as well as plenty of free parking. Outdoor service is very good.

My family orders at least once a week, if not twice. We have noticed the side salad comes with dressing. The dressing is so small that it doesn't even dress the salad. Also, the crunchy nut is not in it no longer. Very disappointing.

Had an issue with a food allergy that i don't think was taken seriously. Service very lacking.

Colin was an excellent waiter. He was attentive, but not intrusive. He treated us very well. The overall ambiance and decor are very comfortable. They seated us near the fire which made our anniversary dinner even that mush better. The food was excellent. I had the chicken, and my wife the Filet Mignon. They were both great. All the food served comes from local sources, so it is all very fresh. Highly recommended.

I can only speak for the happy hour but the happy hour was great! They don't have the widest happy hour menu but they do have sangrias which you can make a flight. We didn't see that on the menu until our server mentioned that we can have one of each so that is what we tried. They were a tad bit too sweet but the food was really good and in the interior is really pretty. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

Had a work dinner here last night and we had seven people. Seemed a bit crowded for the round table but we made it work. The place was full, it's apparently been open at this location for a few months but they have 9 total. My boss ordered a few appetizers: charcuterie board, Korean style chicken lettuce cups, and a couple falafel orders. Everything came out beautifully. Picture perfect. The falafels had a couple sauces and some watermelon radishes that made the plate look almost too good to eat! The Korean lettuce cups and the board also were popular. I was trying to choose between the scallops and the short ribs. Decided on the ribs but had a little entree envy when my neighbor's plate hit the table. No worries, my short rib was so tender and the vegetables on the side were killer. I actually finished the Brussels Sprouts first. Unusual for me- We were too stuffed for dessert but stayed for a nightcap at the bar. It was also worth it. I had the Paloma and it was tasty. Could've had a bunch more but it was time to go. One negative was that the bar wasn't wiped down, there was sticky remnants of the last couple drinks there and I stuck my arm on it. It's dark so I understand not seeing it but it sucked. Our server was excellent. I'd come back with friends anytime if you're looking for something that has food for anyone- even Gluten free or vegan options.

Always been my go-to spot in the area for vegan and non-vegan friends and family. Solid farm to table foods, menu changes based on what ingredients available for the season. I love that since I'm a huge supporter of using the freshest foods that nature has to offer. Solid drinks menu. Chris, our waiter was amazingly attentive.

Seasonal farm fresh cuisine prepared with your food sensitivities in mind. Music to the ears of someone on a Low FODMAP diet who can't eat onion, gluten and some dairy. And yet, I had a scrumptious meal and felt good afterward. Service is a strength at this tasty option at the Village at Newtown center. Our server knew what menu options I could order or modify. And her suggestions did not disappoint. She was attentive and friendly. Great service! The food is pretty special as well. We had the corn and tomato flatbread GF. This was fresh, but not as tasty as you lucky onion eaters get to enjoy as it typically has a corn & tomato relish instead. The cedar plank salmon was absolutely delicious with the Eau Provence herbs on top. And the roasted broccoli, squash and potatoes were just right. The interior has a dark, elegant vibe with booths and tables. The exterior has about 20 tables with shade coverings and fire pit. Lovely atmosphere. Full bar that makes a nice Lychee Martini and extensive wine collection. Lovely spot serving lunch and dinner. Open the latest (until 10 pm on a weekday) than any other local option. Wonderful!

Overall a really fantastic experience. This was my first time trying Harvest and I am a fan. The food is lighter and most things are under 500 calories. But the flavor is there and the portions are decent. I will say it is fairly pricey, but worth it for the quality and service. Anthony was our server and he was great. Very knowledgable and had awesome recommendations. We ordered the butternut squash dip which was amazing. It was warm and spreadable, with asiago cheese, kale and pumpkin seeds. The bison burger was so good. The truffle aioli was delicious. I ordered it medium well, but the burger was definitely well. I upgraded to the fall salad and it was perfect. Apples and blue cheese. Yum. Drink selection was abundant. I love how they have a sangria flight, it's a cool idea. I opted for the mule. It was refreshing, but slightly overly sweet. I will definitely be returning!

Food is good but don't recommend for event. We had planned a bridal shower that got postponed because of Covid. We tried to reschedule to the new date/timeframe and they said we couldn't do that day and would refund. But never sent refund. Frequent calls said "check is in the mail" which of course was BS. We live near the Newtown location and will never go again. Ripoff.

This was my first time at this location and was pleasantly surprised that I managed to get a last minute reservation to celebrate my graduation. My party chose outdoor seating and while it was fairly chilly, the tables were heated and kept us warm enough. The ambience was very relaxing and our server was very attentive and friendly. To start, my table ordered the jerk chicken flatbread (pictured) to share and we were absolutely loved it! Perfect amount of flavor and spice. I ordered the Spring Berry Cooler Mocktail and was very disappointed -- it tasted very tart and somehow the sweetness made my teeth sensitive? I will have to pass the next time I come around. I also selected the Sweet Pea Farro Risotto and the Cedar-Roasted Salmon (pictured) for my entree and I loved every bite! I seriously could not get enough of the risotto! The salmon was also perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. I would definitely recommend this spot for a special occasion or even just a night out with the girls!

Food was great. I don't think there was a thing we ordered that we didn't like. Scallops, shrimp, Buffalo cauliflower, steak, chicken. We ordered dessert and split one. GF Choco tart style cake. The table service was great and friendly. The hostess service not so much. Had reservations. Waited a half hour to be seating and there is no real direction as to where you should wait when they tell you they'll be right with you. You're afraid yo go outside and if you don't, you're in everyone's way. It's very very very loud as it complete open atmosphere. We were there for about an hour and it quieted down a bit. But if you are looking for a quiet night out, prob not the best place. But if you are looking for some good food, this is a good place.

Overall I like this place, the ambiance, the vibe, the staff and their attention to dietary restrictions are amazing. However, little details perturbed me like lack of salt and their fries were massively undercooked. We mentioned it to the waitress (who was super nice and helpful) but she didn't say anything about it at all sadly. We came for happy hour which is really nice, especially sitting on the patio. Not sure if I want to give it another shot or not.

New menu for fall. Many healthy choices. I had butternut squash soup with pine nuts which was excellent. Chilean sea bass was made crisp lightly on outside and white flaky inside- perfectly made. Served with bed of squash, mashed potato since I couldn't have bed of spinach. I asked for no additional salt and was followed to a tee. Dessert was very tempting and we were celebrating a birthday with four spoons and def cured any chocolate fix! Very great experience. Easy to make reservation online as well. Indoor and outdoor dining offered as options.

Yum. Healthy fresh food, locally sourced, prepared beautifully. Also as a Celiac, I am happy to have so many choices that are (or can be easily made) gluten free! I don't think I've had so many choices on a dinner menu since before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and didn't know any different. Mac n cheese. Gluten free Mac n cheese!! It is a side dish only, and I have to say a little dash of salt and some Sriracha on top did the trick. I got the idea for the Sriracha from my buffalo cauliflower - had a nice kick to it, and scooped some of the extra Sriracha onto my Mac n cheese. Then I asked the server for more. The buffalo cauliflower was great and the roasted root veggies. My friend got the cheese board and a harvest salad. Our seasonal drinks were spiced chai martinis. We ordered too much! Also,by checking in on Yelp, I scored some free harvest asiago cheese/rosemary flatbread which, you guessed it, they made on gluten free bread! If you ever see a Harvest Restaurant, here or in other cities, go! At least 4 times a year...that's when they revamp their menu to capture the latest local and seasonal goods.

I have been here many times and they never disappoint. All fresh local ingredients with tasty cocktails. I usually go for the Harvest Bourbon.:)

Great breakfast spot with fast, courteous service. A must try eatery. I guarantee you'll return, like me.
