Eat and Drink Your Way Around Virginia Beach | Eater

"The counter-service Harvest offers quick and casual meals just a short walk from the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Its focused menu of salads, sandwiches, and wraps include fresh and light options like a kale and quinoa salad with roasted sweet potatoes or a Baja wrap of mixed greens, herb chicken, and avocado. There are comfort food picks too, like the smashburger or the King Neptune sandwich, which comes piled high with turkey, ham, bacon, and cheddar cheese." - Travis Mitchell

If I could give Harvest a 10 I would.... we had such a great time dining at this restaurant. Fantastic atmosphere and service, very down-to-earth and welcoming. The food was delicious, they have an amazing chef! And the rooftop bar - loved it! We were treated to a bourban tasting that was amazing. Ocean view, cool breeze and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend Harvest for your next night out.

Love this place! The food was delicious and our waitress was so nice. We have a 1 year old so it is hard to eat at restaurants but our waitress was very chill about it. I will definitely be returning! Pictured is the Hawaiian French toast.

This place is great! It has healthy food choices plus some with lots of sugar. The egg sandwich is a monster. You don't need anything else, but it comes with hash browns, which are good too. The employees are nice and work quickly but are super responsive to customers even when it was a long line. They were kind while our tourists' a**es figured out the menu. The bar and seating area on the roof are great. There is a decent view and when we visited there was a nice breeze. The music was country but new country and was nice with the vibe. We went for breakfast but I bet it's a blast at happy hours (4-7). Go there, eat and have a smoothie or a drink and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

My 1st visit to Harvest!! Fairly large menu to order from the counter (decisions, decisions..LOL). The sausage within my SEC breakfast croissant was DELICIOUS so the sandwich was exceptional! My French Vanilla latte was smooth! And friends also enjoyed the Egg & Bacon Breakfast Plates! The Home Fries were VERY good! Loved the rooftop seating! And there's a BAR up there too for GROWN people drinks 🥰😂🤣 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

During my vacation trip with my mom, we stopped in Harvest for breakfast. What drew me in was their open-air rooftop sitting. What made the experience memorable was Lily, who made us smile and laugh as she took our order and gave us great suggestions for food and drink. The sweet potato waffles were delicious and light. The egg and cheese croissant was tasty and went perfect with the hot almond milk lattes. We will be back again.

Google
Very nice place. Line was kind of long. But I like the fact that you pay for your food first then you get seated. They have a upstairs and downstairs with outside seating. On a nice day it's great to be on the roof top dining that they offer. Prices were decent and the food was very well seasoned as well. Drinks were very good too.

Headed here for lunch. Enjoyed the good food and the great atmosphere. The highlight of this restaurant is the rooftop deck where you can dine and people watch with a view of Atlantic Ave and the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

Google
Comments here about waiting are accurate, but it seemed more due to inefficiency than lack of care. Our servers were friendly, but they were incredibly busy. We sat at the bar and did have to wait a while to place out order, but the staff had a lot going on. The Dr. Seuss Bowl was a nice, light breakfast that went well with a mocha. Watching staff make fresh fruit smoothies did get me craving one of those. It all looked so good!

Yelp
Service was slow, both at the bar and getting food. Once food arrived, we had to request utensils at the bar which took time. Rooftop was cool, it remained me of a backyard bbq kind of vibe, but on a roof. There's a bar, lounge, and hightop seating as options. There was a dj spinning a mix of party classics and newer hip hop songs. The food was just ok. We ordered the tuna bites which were salty, the crab cake which lacked flavor, and the steak tacos which were chewy and bland. I'll try again for brunch, but wouldn't recommend overall.

Yelp
This spot is a 3.5. Nice menu and selection and a gorgeous outdoor rooftop bar area with plenty of seating and an easygoing beachfront vibe. Staff were super friendly and welcoming when we entered downstairs but our waitress was kinda sour and not friendly at all. I've been dying to try for a while so yesterday was the day for a gals date with a close friend. We met and I discovered free two-hour parking nearby and my friend parked in their small, attached lot. I chose a Horchata iced coffee (two espresso shots) but asked for no extra sugar and asked how sweet it was (pregnant so trying to watch my overall daily sugar intake as much as I can) but it was SO sweet when I got it... a little too much cinnamon too. I also got the Harvest bowl with potatoes, eggs, feta, spinach and tomato. It was OK but kind'a really bland and no ketchup or anything. My friend had the Cuban sandwich with smashed potatoes and it looked DELISH. She loved it. We wanted to split a cinnamon roll but didn't. I liked that the menu included tons of sandwiches, some salad, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, smoothies, etc. Lots of options. Great location by The Sweet Spot and tons of other shopping and walking around and right across from the oceanfront (one street back) with a partial beach view from the rooftop. Will def. come back.

Yelp
I enjoyed my lunch with a nice view on their rooftop terrace! I got a tuna steak sandwich, which was seared perfectly and topped with black beans, corn and lettuce. Besides their great sandwichs, they also serve a great selection of breakfast items, coffee and cocktails. The service is helpful and friendly. I will be back!

Yelp
I was a little shocked when I first walked in that we were basically the only table there on a Wednesday evening during summer vacation. But by the end of the meal, I knew why. Service was good. Our server checked in on us a decent amount, but waters weren't refilled once. My "VB slush" tasted like OJ mixed with a little bit of liquor....for $12. Nice. The buffalo chicken sandwich was probably one of the worst I've ever had. Was chewier than rubber and had zero toppings...just a little lettuce and some aioli. Yikes. I wouldn't come back here if you paid me! Guess I should be thankful I wasn't charged for the fries

Yelp
We went to Harvest for a nice little gals brunch and it's the cutest little place at the Oceanfront! Perfect for summertime (we sat outdoors)! When you walk in, you go up to the counter to place your order and you pick up your food there as well. There's no hostess or anything so when you get your food, you sit wherever there is seating.. first come first served! There is some indoor seating on the first floor as well as some outdoor seating, both first and second floor! There is some coverage upstairs if you don't want to be completely in the sun, so that was nice :) The doors were left open to the indoor seating area so it was a little warm. There was a nice breeze when we went, so it was actually much cooler eating outside! When you walk upstairs they have a bar and a cute little plant wall! Around the corner there's some comfy chairs to hang out in as well. There was a good variety of food on the menu! Lots of drinks and smoothies to choose from as well. I ordered the chicken tacos which were ok to me. It was a little heavy on the sauce and it was a little spicy! I kind of wish I asked for some sour cream or lettuce on the side to balance it out a little more. I didn't get the chance to try the other dishes in the pictures since they were my friends', but they looked delicious! This place is definitely a vibe and apparently they sometimes host events! Definitely a cool place to check out if you're looking for a nice bite to eat down by Oceanfront.

Yelp
Opened off season if you're looking to have brunch and drinks while in the area. Seating can be limited in the restaurant but the open air rooftop provides a great view as well as additional space for seating and hanging out. Coffee was good and food was fresh. The french toast was quite unique and delicious but also rich in flavor. generous portions for fair price.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Harvest. I was first introduced to them from the "2022 Coastal Virginia Coffee trail" this summer and I've been impressed ever since. (Their Vanilla Lavender Iced Latte was one of the better ones on the coffee trail) Their food is fresher and of better overall quality than quite a few other places in the touristy Oceanfront area. The two sandwiches I had were amazing. The herb chicken ciabatta had an amazing chipotle aioli and the ciabatta was heated just right so it was crunchy yet soft (cause chile I hate a hard-ass ciabatta). The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich had the right amount of heat-to-flavor ratio and the chicken was nice and crunchy without being dry. Furthermore, It should also be noted that they make good smoothies. My "Blazing Star" smoothie was nice and thick and not too sweet. All in all, the food here is très fab. I also want to add that they have very attentive and friendly service, and the rooftop upstairs has a beautiful view of the oceanfront. Definitely put Harvest on your list if you're visiting or live in/near Virginia Beach.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place out back in August but was not impressed. I came on a Sunday morning. At this place you order at the counter and pickup at the counter then find your own seat. I waited for almost 2 hours for my food after I ordered at the counter. We left walked the beach and then came back to pick our order and it still wasn't ready. The staff wasn't pleasant either. They just looked miserable. No smile or nothing. They weren't even short staffed. There were so many people behind the counter. It was a nice day so we wanted to go up to the rooftop. Only a small portion of the roof top is covered with only two tables were under the covered area. The two tables were taken up. So we sat in the sun until the people who were done came over and told us to take their table since we had our daughter with us. There is a bar on the roof which is convenient. On the other side of the roof top there is a cute seating area with cushioned seats but the whole thing was flipped upside down and just a mess so we didn't sit there. I didn't get a picture of it but I should've. The food... they don't have any fish or shrimp. For a restaurant at the ocean front that doesn't have seafood, that is really sad. I got avocado tacos. It wasn't good. Everyone I was with didn't like what they got so I'm assuming the food wasn't good. Overall my first experience sucked.

Yelp
While walking boardwalk strip around 10:45pm on a Tuesday night, I came across Harvest because of music playing from the rooftop patio. I did a Google search and it said they closed at 10pm. The sign outside also confirmed that. However, the door was open and I saw two ladies walk upstairs. I went upstairs too and there were several groups of people. I went to the bar and looked at the menu. The patio area is really nice! They have regular tables for eating and sitting. They also had couches and even swing type seating. I have no idea the proper name for it. You could see other local business from the roof, which was pretty nice. I ultimately got "Surprise Me", which is perfect for me because I can be indecisive. This drink means that the bartender just makes you something. He asked me what type of liquor I like and I told him Vodka. He asked if I like sweet and I said yes. He made it extremely quick. I looked away for a second and was done. It was red in color too. I grabbed a straw and took a sip... Y'all, it was nasty. At first, I thought he put something with coconut in it. I dislike coconut. After he said he didn't, I asked him what was in it. He said it was Vodka, sprite, and grenadine.... This was not unique at all. He gave me a basic ass drink. I'm not making any assumptions... but I will state that I made the observation that my friend and I were the only people of color there... Take that how you wish... So yeah, I didn't like it AT ALL... but of course, I drank it. My #1 rule with alcohol, is that you don't waste it!! So, I just sucked it up and drank it, lol. Plus, I really didn't want him to make me anything else. I thought about asking for him to add some juice but opted not too. As I sat at the bar and forced the drink down, I noticed bartender flirting with a young lady who had apparently been there previously from my minor eavesdropping. Serious question... is it eavesdropping if they're talking loud enough for others to hear? Idk. There was one memorable part of their conversation that was funny because of the girl's reaction, but I won't put him out there like that LMAO. I don't know his name anyway. But to continue with my story, the "Surprise Me" drink left a horrible taste in my mouth. I got another drink that I saw while browsing the drink menu called "Blue B Crush", which is blueberry vodka, lemon, fresh berries, and simple syrup. Unfortunately, I didn't really like it either. However, it was better than my "Surprise Me" drink. I realized that both drinks were mixing a key ingredient: Juice!! -Sigh- This was a disappointment. After that drink, I paid my tab and left. I have no idea how the food taste but I doubt I'd come back in the future.

Yelp
I have to be honest. Not the best in VB, but not the worst. I should have known if the King of VB (J David H) said he wasn't a fan, I probably shouldn't have stopped by. I only stopped in because Harvest was on the Coastal Coffee Trail and I had to hit it to stamp it off. Hear me out, Yelpers. I'm not mad about my iced macchiato; it was ready in no time, even with it being crazy busy. It tasted great and I opted for oat milk for more depth but ended up paying a lot more for half the size of what I would have got from the greatest money-draining-thief of all time - Starbucks. So, I'm not completely sold on that front. I also purchased the recommended (by staff) gigantic cinnamon roll. I waited almost 20 minutes for the roll to come out it was ludicrous. If I knew it was going to be warmed up I would have not bothered as the wait for food was way to long for a takeout order. Don't get me wrong, it didn't taste awful, in fact it was rather delicious, but I thought it was a grab and go item. If you come here and wait as long as I did, be sure to check the rooftop bar area after. It is worth the extra few minutes, that I promise.

Yelp
This place is super cute. The service was slow and the food is a little overpriced. I ordered avocado toast- pretty plain but it did have sprouts! My son ordered a turkey club with a fruit cup- $20. The sandwiches do not come with any sides so everything is extra. The açaí bowls were good and reasonably priced and sized. They also have smoothies- but use juice in most of them. Overall, eh!

Yelp
I am on a coffee trail. Harvest is listed. #1strike against them. They had the coffee menu covered by junk on the shelf in front of the menu. Make sure people can see your menu. Just scan the QR code and the menu will pop right up. Service is called fast casual. It says it right on the front door. You walk up and order at the counter and they will bring it to the table.. And it seemed a little cluttered downstairs. Under the stairway looked cluttered. We were sitting and eating at the table right beside the clutter. Hopefully you will read this and tidy up and clean the hall going to the restrooms. That is a narrow hall to begin with and if something is down there is just does not have a clean feel to it. Now for all the positive. I ordered the Horchata Iced Latte with almond milk. YUMMM. Oh so good. Perfect blend of flavor. Great job on my coffee. We also ordered the Beach Burrito. That was excellent. you add home fries and coffee for 3 dollars. GREAT Deal. I could eat my weight in their home fries. They have a lovely menu and a really nice variety. I was watching food go to the different tables. It all looked Really GOOD. They were very fast getting every ones food out to them. Ours was nice and HOT. We ate downstairs in the AC but took our coffees upstairs to enjoy the roof top. IT is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! They have fun and funky seating. A wall mural and then on the other side they have a WONDERFUL bar and a huge planted wall. I fell in love with the woven hammock chairs. Such a relaxed beach vibe. This place is sooooo close to being a 5 star. We will be going back in the future and hopefully can pop up my 4 star to a 5. They just need to tidy up a bit to make it a 5 star. But for now I am sticking with 4 stars.

Yelp
I love beach front dining, and stumbled across this place in search of brunch on the beach with a killer view. The interior is very modern and aesthetically pleasing. There's also a roof top upstairs complete with a bar to enjoy the fresh salty air and basking in the sun. Normally beach front restaurants are known for seafood, however I didn't encounter any on the menu here at least for brunch. My brunch was a typical pancake with eggs and bacon, nothing special however, the presentation of the food impressed me. The beautiful blue dishes brought ocean vibes to my table and a cute Canadian leaf mold of butter on my pancakes made me smile:) The only thing that kept me from presenting a 5 star review was the table space and the quality of the alcoholic beverages. I ordered Mimosa flights and in my opinion they weren't mixed well with the juice or something was just off. One of the mimosas tasted like it was mixed with water. My hubby ordered a tequila sunrise and something about that just wasn't good either. I also didn't like how the tables were so small. When you order, your food will come on the most beautiful blue but large dishes that wont fit on the table unless your by yourself. Even our mimosa flight presentation came with a tray that we had to ditch in order to make everything fit on the table. Overall, its a very nice restaurant and I hope to return in the summer and explore the roof top more.

Yelp
We were in town for a festival and decided to stop by here for breakfast. It's such a cute place and they also have a rooftop bar in sitting area. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. My husband got the Hawaiian waffles and I got the breakfast burrito. The orange juice was so fresh and the smoothie was flavorful and delicious. The staff was super friendly, other than the kitchen staff we ran into at the end. We weren't sure where to put our plates, and he just stood there at the busing station we were at and didn't say anything when we asked. We sat upstairs and the table was dirty with cigarette ashes all over, so I had to wipe that down myself. When you order food, you have to go back and get it yourself. I found it weird that someone else had their food brought to them though. So that was a tad confusing.

Yelp
I went during the day, but it was still a good vibe. we sat rooftop which overlooked the strip and beach. the tacos were great. Our server was a little slack, but another server was on point and made sure we were taken care of. Didn't get their names. I think a night meal/drink would be fun here.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant at oceanfront. I came here with a bunch of my girls for my birthday. We all met up for lunch and drinks and we haven't tried this spot yet and decided to come. We tried making reservations but wasn't able to. Luckily there was a huge table for us when we walked in. We all ordered our lunch and we headed upstairs to check out the rooftop bar for some drinks. It was cold and windy that day so we ordered drinks and went back downstairs. We had mimosa flights which was really good and we had a few shots. The food came out and the nachos were huge. I got a sandwich with shoestring fries. It was delicious. The staff were super friendly and noticed that it was my birthday. At the end of our meal the brought out a huge giant cinnamon bun for my birthday. It was hot, soft, gooey and delicious. Can't wait to come back here again when it's nice and hot to enjoy some drinks and food on the rooftop.

Yelp
Harvest is such a cute cafe with a beautiful view of Atlantic Street with a peek of the ocean. Harvest motto is from farm to beach! Fresh, clean, real food! They serve breakfast, smoothies, sandwiches, cocktails and etc. You order at the counter, find a seat and listen out for your order when it's ready. It's like a self services restaurant. The rooftop is everything!! It has a lovely view of the strip and a bar to hang out and chill. The couple of times I've been, it seems I always get the same thing since it's my fave. So, I usually get the grilled avocado with pico di Gallo and the fries. Both are delish!! The avocado has the nice charred but yet still creamy inside. And the fries are crunchy shoestring kind. My absolute favorite type of potato LOL. The staff is great and it has been my favorite place to dine at the Oceanfront.

Yelp
Called to order and they have almost nothing from the online menus. All they said was that menu hasn't been updated since we reopened, you'll have to come in to see the menu.

Javier M.

Yelp
Love everything about this restaurant! The food was was great, including the presentation and attention to detail, the service was a 10! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and they very quickly accommodated our party of 7, we were moved up to the rooftop, which was plus for us! The food took little long but... it was worth the wait. The Ambiance here was great! Overall this place is a 10!

Yelp
Incredible next level breakfast spot. Super friendly service. Or waitress was named Julie and she was about as good a waitress as we've ever had. Can't recommend that crunchy Hawaiian french toast enough. Was over the top amazing.

Yelp
I must say after looking solely at their composite score of a 4.5 I was extremely disappointed at Harvest. My fault for not digging deeper into menu, prices and reviews from friends to better gauge. The location is an A+ just off the Virginia Beach Boardwalk with its own small private lot that few have. That is the best thing that I can say. I did use the FREE parking in rear. I had my teen daughter in toe after shopping and we're both starved! After discussing a few other places in The Vibe District we decided on Harvest with overall strong reviews and close proximity to their location. The signage outside is attractive and they do offer outdoor seating. A menu is right as you walk in. After looking at online and in person we both found items. Several others walked up around us to view and left. Our visit was after lunch rush around 130 PM on a weekday. Ordering is at the counter. The staff was super friendly. The ordering process efficient. I got steak tacos with chips & salsa after being told they were out of a potato mash thing that sounded more interesting. My daughter a BLT sandwich with fries. Unfortunately they combo up with a fountain drink and you do not have a choice. My daughter only drinks water, so this is a few dollars tagged on. I also typically get water as well. The price with a 20% tip came to a staggering almost $40. The dining room was empty so we could chose our seats. Everything on the floor to tables appeared clean. The atmosphere is bright with ton of natural light and that was super! However once seated I could see a layer of what almost appeared to be saw dust on top of the napkins which was gross. I assume this was from being a block off the oceanfront. Easy solution is to wipe down at minimum with tables during the day. I looked over at others and same. I looked at a shelving unit and even worse. At least one staff had nothing to do. This was a very big turn off prior to receiving our meal. I saw who I assumed was the owner come in bringing supplies, checking mail etc. meal came out within around a respectable 15 minutes. Both meals looked fine, nothing extraordinary for price. First bite of my steak tacos was good, however later I found fatty meat I had to spit out. Chips nothing exciting, but fresh. My daughter reported she liked hers. The sandwich was mammoth and no way would she ever eat it all. She was annoyed at the amount of break on the triple stack sandwich. Side of fries plentiful and hot, but mediocre. The staff made eye contact from behind the counter to gain approval of all good. I gave a thumb up. Why not just come over to the table though, it was still dead. Customers bus their own tables. I can't hide that this was a let down. I had Harvest on a to try list for over a year and after giving them a shot will not return. I believe management can learn a few things from what I mentioned that would help elevate. My review falls at a flat 3 stars which was generous for my dissatisfaction with the overall experience. Interesting to me no regulars on Yelp check-in with such high scores.

Yelp
In search of adult frozen beverages, I stopped by Harvest after running Va Beach Half Marathon. I gotta say that I had a fab time and wished that I was not driving so I could have stayed longer and enjoyed more adult beverages. The upstairs bartender, Kristy or Kristen (sp?), was an absolute joy. Just be aware if you have drinks upstairs and want food that you will have to place your order separately in the restaurant - one of the reasons why I docked the place 0.5 stars. I deducted another 0.5 stars because I had to wait in another line for the bartender to run my card through the computer on the other side of the bar. I was a bit confused because I would think that it would be easier for the restaurant to print a tab and have customers pay from where they are seating . . . especially if they are at the bar. I'm sure Harvest has its reasons for having customers pay in this manner. For my dining experience, I had a breakfast bowl (I think it was called the South Side). Overall, the breakfast bowl was fine, but I found it a tad salty. Perhaps, the kitchen was having an off day because the restaurant and bar were pretty swamped on that Sunday afternoon. While this might seem like a rough review, I think the service, the proximity to the beach, the live entertainment, and the delicious watermelon vodka slushie outweighed these minor inconveniences. Can't wait to visit again . . . although I probably will just have adult beverages.

Yelp
Omgg this is a must try! First of all the waiters are extremely nice and understanding. Food came quickly and was AMAZING! The avacado toast and Hawaiian crunch French toast were unlike anything I've ever had before and very reasonable priced for the quality, freshness, and taste! Didn't go to the roof but the bottom was quaint.

Yelp
This was quite the find and should also be on your list of places to visit while you are in the area. It is super nice and the rooftop seating was AWESOME!!! They have done very well with this place and it will be a favorite place to stop anytime I am over here. The food was really good and it was more than enough to eat. WELL DONE HARVEST......VERY WELL DONE!!

Yelp
The Cuban sandwich is always good... got the ahi tuna sandwich today and it was delish. Great staff and service! Nice roof top area too. Check it out.

Yelp
Im so upset we haven't tried Harvest sooner!! Huge shoutout to the Coastal Coffee Trail for bringing us here! Um hello-- rooftop brunch spot?? Parking at the Oceanfront can be a pain, but we lucked out and found free parking in a super small lot behind the building. I'm sure you can find street parking if that lot is full. This is the type of place where you order at the counter and then go sit down while you wait for the food-- they take your phone number and text you when it's ready. We HAD to utilize the rooftop section, so after we got our coffees we headed upstairs. The second level is equipped with a bar, tables and swinging seats. I think Harvest becomes a bar at night? Super cool! There isn't a ton of shade up there, but we did snag a table out of the sun. The morning we visited they had live music, but it was just a litttttle too loud. My only qualm with our visit! The food came out in no time and we really enjoyed it! My Açaí Bowl was definitely enough to fill me up and tasted super fresh. The egg on my husband's Scramble Bowl was a little overdone but he liked it nonetheless. We will for sure be back, vibes are immaculate!!

Yelp
Nice cute sandwich shop. Came here on a Sunday afternoon right after they opened. Cool industrial interior and plenty of menu options to choose from. The kids with us had room to use a separate table and no one seemed to mind when they were a little wound up. All of our sandwiches were good, but not super memorable. I think my NORTHENDER could've used a different sauce instead of the mayo. The snicker doodle cookie was delicious, albeit pretty expensive at 3.30. would come back to try something else on the menu or perhaps for brunch.

Yelp
Sat on the upstairs rooftop- food scattered on the floor from the night before. Got the avocado toast with kale- the kale was straight from the bag. No seasoning or dressing. Bread was barely toasted. So kind of like kale on bread with some avocado. The cinnamon bun was excellent, staff is nice.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I took my mom to harvest not knowing they had redone EVERYTHING. The food is just not as good as it used to be at all. Harvest used to be our favorite place to take everyone and the food is just so much worse. Our favorite things before were the nachos and their shoe string fries. The fries are gone and the nachos do not have even a smidge of the flavor they used to. The service was GREAT but we will never be going back as the food is just not good now.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. 8 of us went in understand we are a big group, we were immediately sat but 45 minutes passed we were never greeted, never gave a menu. It wasn't busy either we were on the rooftop only saw one server who took a two top table that came in 20 minutes after we did. Won't be back and won't try them again it's a shame since they are right off of the boardwalk.

Yelp
This place is super cute!! It is down by the VB oceanfront and I love the vibe. I came here because of the Coastal Coffee Trail! It's a fun way to try new places and support local businesses too. My GPS brought me to the vicinity of where it is. I drove around the building to ark in their parking which is right behind them. Walking up they have a small mural painted outside and outdoor seating. We walked in and were immediately greeted and asked if we needed menus. You can sit anywhere and once ready, place your order at the register. I got the chicken on ciabatta because it was labeled "local fav." I also ordered the Toffee Nut iced latte! It didn't taken long for our food to be ready and of course I tried to set it up for a photo. The sandwich was amazing! It wasn't too hot so I could take a bite immediately. I added fries too and that was a fabulous idea! It comes with a fountain drink too so I got sweet tea. I can't say enough good things about the Toffee Nut latte! It was amazing. If you find yourself at the oceanfront wondering where to eat, this is the spot! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Really disappointed. The parking lot behind was a little shady so we parked elsewhere. We ordered 3 cups of coffee to go and it took some time. The cashier wasn't particularly friendly. The Coffee came with no lids and when I asked for lids, they said they were out of lids that fit that cup. The food here looked decent but not sure I would come back.

Yelp
This was stop number 12 on the coastal coffee trail. There is a small parking lot behind but the parking is so limited I just parked at 19th and walked. Parking there is $10...there are metered spots but I didn't want to deal with finding one. This is a cute spot, it was my first time here. There is a really cute bar rooftop area that would be perfect for some drinks while the live music plays. I came here for the coffee and...well this ain't it! It was a latte with almond milk and it was super creamy very little coffee flavor and super sweet for some reason (I got sugar free). Anyways coffee alone I would not have given so many stars but I decided to try some food bc this seemed like a nice place to come and chill. The herb chicken ciabatta was marked as a favorite. I can see why! It was really good! I would 100% come back...just not for coffee. The ambiance was great, employees were very friendly and the food was delicious!

Yelp
SUCH great food. I was honestly nervous to try this restaurant because I find it very difficult to get good food at the beach, but this place really impressed me. I will absolutely be going back.

Yelp
Harvest is a cool spot you can bring a group of friends and have a good time. The 2nd floor is where I spent most of my time, it's an outdoor patio with a full bar. Small ocean view and instagramable angles around the building. We went during the brunch hour which I also think was during HH, this place would also be a cute spot during the night lit up with the patio lights. Overall definitely enjoyed it and make sure to get the Mimosa Flight for a good time!

Yelp
I never leave reviews but I was really disappointed in the quality of the food at Harvest. I was excited about bringing my mom here for her birthday because of the good reviews & photos I saw. The "French toast" is not actually French toast. It's clumps of bread deep fried in corn flakes, it was tasty but not what we were expecting to receive. The grilled chicken on their ciabatta sandwich was SO gross, similar to the quality of hospital food. Tasted like it was cooked & refrigerated 10 times. My sister got the croissant sandwich and she really enjoyed it. I guess the quality of their menu items vary.

Yelp
3.5 star place located a block from the boardwalk and close from the ocean. 1. Service - 4 stars The cashier/owner/coffee maker guy was awesome. Just like any business owner, worked on everything. The guy who was making our sandwich was rather slow. We waited about 15+ minutes, which is very long as it is not a sit down made to order full restaurant. We were here for breakfast. 2. Food - 3 stars I was having high hopes due to its name, Harvest. They use pre-packaged avocados that are so not ripe, my avocado toast was not a pleasant experience to have. The wrap was okay, again tastes good, but not something to rave about. 3. Interior - 4 stars I liked the cute way they decorated the long table. It is a cozy cafe set up and loved how their windows opened all the way.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. Cute and right next to the beach...the cons: hot out, doors open, flies in. I ordered a togo Acai bowl and cucumber lemonade. Was told the fruit was strawberries and bananas. I sat at the bar to wait. The worker starts to make 3 bowls. She used packets of Acai and added blueberries banana and coconut milk. She then placed 3 level scoops of the Acai in a square plastic container. Then made a drink for someone else, then took plates to tables twice and then came back and started chopping bananas, then cleaned up some stuff then grabbed the granola and topped the "bowl" with it. With it being so warm in the establishment with the doors open, by time she handed it to me, it had melted and was sloshing around in the "bowl" I tried to find non liquid bites in it before I left, but all hope was lost. I just left it there. She asked what was wrong and I told her it was melted. A little bummed that she didn't off to remake it or to refund but whatever...there goes $25 for nothing. Should have taken a pic, but I didn't just went about my way with my "lemonade"

Yelp
Singer sounded like they took a homeless man on heroine and gave him a guitar and he was not cooking, waitress got our order wrong and gave us a bucket of chum, shit was mid asf

Yelp
Great place! My food was excellent, my server was down to earth and attentive, and my specialty coffee drink was delicious and well balanced! I will be making an effort to go back next time I'm in Virginia Beach!

Yelp
Cool little spot at the oceanfront. The staff was very friendly and personable. The barista was so pleasant and asked the right questions to get my order correct. I had the chicken club on a GF roll with a side of smashed potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned well; I just wish they were actually "smashed." The chicken was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. It has its busy moments so get it at the right time.

Yelp
We're local and decided to stroll the beach looking for somewhere we haven't tried. The happy hour sign got us to try the southwest egg rolls for $5 (such a good deal!). We kept walking and ended up going back. Highly recommend going upstairs to the rooftop if the weather is nice!

Yelp
Harvest was amazing. They have a beautiful top deck patio to eat on that looks over to the ocean. Me and my boyfriend were celebrating our anniversary that weekend in Virginia Beach and decided to check out harvest. We got smoothies that were amazing. And both of our meals were delicious. I got the Chicken Baja wrap and the Hawaiian toast. Both were amazing for a savory sweet lunch to share !

Yelp
Order: Hawaiian Crunchy French Toast HCFT. Beach Burrito Sandwich BBS, Açaí Bowl AB, Avocado Toast AT, Kids Plain PancakesK PP, Strawberry Banana Smoothie SBS. Photo: I could have left you photos of the food above, but that would be redundant. Instead, showing you the outcome...range from Delicious to Finger-Lickin-Good Review: HCFT was a surprise to the taste buds. Never had a French toast made that way. It had crunch, softness, and packed in flavor. Whatever they drizzled over it did not require any maple syrup. BBS and AT tasted fresh and just enough for for a light breakfast. Although I did not know what to do with the lettuce leaf that came with then AT. Too big to place over the AT and too bland to eat by itself. Not sure if it's just garnish. Should consider possibly a small bowl of fruits. The pancakes for the KPP were nicely done. They were not too fluffy or too flat and chewy. Came with a tiny cup of strawberries and blueberries which was a great complement since we didn't want the Chico chip pancakes. Came also with orange juice. Boxed OJ is never great. I think they can afford to give a small cup of freshly squeezed OJ for the price. That would have been an excellent breakfast! I highly recommend their AB like their HCFT. This was very refreshing and the flavor combinations worked with the different more common fruits on the top including ripe bananas, fresh strawberries, and sweetened coconut flakes. We found this place by chance but if you live breakfast or brunch, make a point to come here. You won't be disappointed. Note that you will order/pickup from the counter. But they will bring you your food if they're not too busy. They have plenty of tables including outdoor and rooftop seating. Great place to start the day at the beach!

Yelp
Although they tout organic, they're not fully. Condiments like mustard and ketchup don't say so. The tacos were good, the lettuce had a (hopefully organic) bug. Pleasant staff but only counter service

Yelp
I went to this place last weekend for a late breakfast. If there is parking dedicated to the restaurant, I couldn't find it. But as a Sunday morning in December is not a prime beach day we were able to fund a spot and not get towed. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this place is VERY casual. Kinda of a smoothie/coffee bar that also serves food. You order at the counter and they bring it out. I think we cleared the table ourselves. I had a croissant breakfast sandwich and tots. Both were good. The service was friendly. The music was loud. It was mostly empty on a late Sunday morning in Dec. It is good for what it is but not a destination per se.

Yelp
I stopped in here today for lunch. In order to help with social distancing, they hand you a menu and have you take a seat until you are ready to order. Once ready, you put in your order at the counter and then they will bring the food out to you at your table. I ordered the Baja chicken wrap with a side of smashed potatoes. The potatoes were interesting and well seasoned. The wrap was pretty good. I probably would have ordered it without the dressing next time.
