Our daughter bought us dinner here…the food was frankly amazing and the bar equally as good. Personally I loved the decor too! We ate the fixed Menu although there are three choices to each course. Three courses and a cocktail for £30 per head - I mean amazing value. Service was great too - so much so we went back for brunch!

We went for the express lunch menu for Mother’s Day. Looks to be a reasonable deal but the bill has a 12.5% service charge added and not once were either of us offered the specified complimentary cocktail. We asked about it because we heard the couple on the table next to us being offered theirs. Once I pointed this out to the senior staff they hurriedly made one but we’d already paid by then so I couldn’t even have mine (i was driving). The food was pretty good but not outstanding. The setting was nice and airy and not overcrowded but service leaves a lot to be desired.

We went to an art preview. It was sickboys show optical delusion. We were not really sure what to expect, but it was a great evening. If the food for the preview is a representation of what is standard, then you are in for a treat. We had an exceptional 5 course meal (including Sorbet). All cooked to an exceptional standard. We have eaten in many 1 and 2 start m restaurants, and this was as good. The standard of ingredients, presentation, and service was as good as the above, and from what I understand, you can get these 3 course meals from around £35. I would never have thought of eating a quality meal in a department store restaurant, but now I guess you can. This can often work out cheaper than 3 courses in a pub!@ Hey the art was great as well, good one sickboy!

Food was really nice and just the right level of fancy for me. It’s a nice place for a quiet meal with quite a calm atmosphere. Service was on point too!

The 3 course meal with a cocktail is very great value, especially considering the great service, atmosphere and general decor. I have to say the coriander falafel, steak, and goats cheese are very delicious. Also, the complementary sweet potatoe chips with cheese biscuits were a nice touch. I'd definitely recommend trying this.

Lovely place, quite up market, prices are higher but really lovely drinks/cocktails, a friendly welcome. We really enjoyed our visit. Wheelchair friendly, there is a lift.

Girls night out to the cocktail masterclass they put on at the bar. Very good experience- Nico was charming and had good banter as he made sure we were well taken care of- nothing was too much and even got us a cocktail off-menu. Fun thing to do, especially in dreary January!

Yelp
A couple of friends who have recently been lodging with us before going travelling wanted to say thanks by way of a slap up 3 course meal and Harvey Nic's top floor restaurant and cocktail bar was the destination of choice. I'd visited Harvey Nic's main store a number times (mainly buying presents at Christmas!) but never thought about visiting the restaurant or bar. We arrived at the closed Harvey Nichols store, on the corner of Quakers Fryer just after 8pm and took a separate lift up to the top floor. The floor is split in to 2 main parts; a cocktail bar with a long window overlooking Cabot Circus and formal restaurant top to bottom coloured gold! First Impressions were that this is definitely a place for a special occasion and also very bling on the eyes. We stopped in the bar for a quick cocktail before being seated. The cocktail menu is pretty blooming amazing, all your usual suspects along with interesting takes on classics and the department store's own trademark tipples. I went for a wibble. I'd never heard of a wibble before but apparently it's quiet a well known cocktail. It consisted of gin, slow gin, pink grapefruit juice and blackberry liquor. Bang! It's actually making my mouth water now, is that wrong at 07:30am on the bus to work?! After we'd wet the whistle we were seated in the restaurant. As previously mentioned gold is definitely the theme and if your eyes are sensitive to light you may want to bring sunglasses with you. Seriously though the restaurant is presented to a high celebratory standard and is unashamedly swanky. We went for the set 3 course menu option which considering the setting was actually quite reasonable. You get a choice of a meat, fish or vegetarian option for starter and main and a choice of 3 deserts. I went for the meat for starter and main which was a game terrine followed by the pheasant, both were new to me and very tasty. My only criticism would be if you're not in to game then there would have been no meat option on the set menu for you. The starter was nice but as expected (terrine appears to be the starter of choice on many menus at the mo). I'd never had pheasant before and I was surprised at how lite it was. Highly recommended if you want to try game but don't want anything too heavy on the pallet. The desert was a treacle sponge with ginger which was really nice although I had to ask for more ginger as it was reasonably gingerless to begin with. The end result was awesome! The service was excellent from start to finish and the waitress brought out our friends deserts with a personalised message written in chocolate, wishing them good luck on there travels which was a great touch to finish the meal. However... The evening was just starting and there was a cocktail menu in the bar to revisit! We had 3 or 4 more cocktails and one of the Bartenders even knocked us up a personal cocktail made based on my wife Alice's favourite flavours! A great night had in Harvey Nic's restaurant and cocktail bar. Perfect for a special occasion that's a little different from most of the fine eateries in Bristol. Also highly recommended if your a fan of the colour gold.

Yelp
Wowwwwwie!! This is one pretty special experience! located on the second floor of Harvey Nichols in Cabot Circus you'll find this restaurant and cocktail bar. When we arrived we went through to the cocktail bar, looking out to the beautiful Christmas lights of Cabot Circus. The decor inside is clean, with neat clean lines its pretty timeless really, we had pre and after dinner drinks in the bar, they offer table service so no long cues. It was quite busy so there was a little wait for our drinks but it didn't matter as it gave is plenty of time to peruse the menu for our next cocktail. The staff were also happy to go off menu and make us bespoke cocktails, I had a snickers one, surprisingly it tasted much like the real thing! We were called to our table once we'd had our drinks, the restaurant had the 'wow' effect the floor to ceiling gold decor is stunning, think 70's glamour, it's beautiful! They offer an a la Carte menu, or the set menu. We ordered from the set menu, 3 courses for £20, it was excellent value for money the thought that went into every dish was incredible. They served a range of home made bread with the starters, we all ordered the game terrine which came with a lovely apricot terrine. I had the Hake for main course, which was so good! The staff were really helpful, offered suggestions when requested and were always on hand with out being in your face I enjoyed every minute of this visit, it was great value for money, a relaxed atmosphere with excellent food and drink, I'll definitely be back here soon.

Yelp
I too have heard they Harvey Nicks will not be here next year. I think it is a bit of a waste that they have won the sponsorship for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta in August. It is very expensive in here and lots of designer brands, but I think it is well worth having a Harvey Nicks in Bristol, something to be proud of. The more the merrier, just think where are all the Bristol City WAGS going to shop? (that is when they get into the premiership :) I will be sad to see them go and I would much rather has Harvey Nicholas there than another empty store

Yelp
I couldn't care less about the ridiculously-overpriced clothes in Harvey Nichols, but their swanky restaurant on the second floor is a welcome addition to Bristol's dining scene. The entire restaurant is decked out in gold from floor to ceiling - other than a random green pillar in the corner. You'd think this would be a bit garish, but it somehow works. Apart from the green pillar. We went there for Sunday brunch, and for £18 for three courses - including a drink - it wasn't badly priced at all, especially given the excellent service. I ordered a baked egg dish to start. It took a while to arrive because the chef apparently wasn't happy with the first batch so had to start again. When the waitress came over to tell us I felt like I was in an episode of Masterchef, and had visions of the chef in the kitchen being comforted by Gregg and John. As a compensation for the delay, they offered us another glass of the rose wine each, which we eagerly accepted with boozy glee. I had tempura-battered fish (can't remember what fish) as a main, which was light and tasty, served with a pea puree and a generous dollop of freshly-made tartare sauce. The desserts were all yummy, and we left perhaps a tad more tipsy than we'd intended to be at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. I'd definitely pay Harvey Nicks another visit for some more food. Perhaps afternoon tea next time.

Yelp
Very elegant restaurant and good food. Service not as sharp as it should be but very friendly. One of my favourite spots in Bristol.

Yelp
Went shopping in Harvey Nicholas last week and bought a new handbag and dress. The service was great; all the staff is very pleasant, going soon to get the shoes to match. The restaurant is also fantastic; they put on a really sweet afternoon tea.

Yelp
Extremely expensive, as i walked in i felt so out of place! But as its designer ill give it some credit ;) love the channel perfume but can never afford it! The staff make you feel welcome when looking around, but when you start trying on the really expensive dresses they give you dirty looks because they no your not going to but them :L

Yelp
Ugh..everything I hate about shopping is pretty much all collectively put together in this shop. Overpriced 'designer' garbage bought by people with more money than sense (on the way out my boyfriend spotted a £100 pair of gloves, which were HORRIBLE). Presumably this shop was put here to attract a different kind of clientele from outside Bristol, because I can't see many Bristolians regularly shopping here!

Yelp
Had the best meal i've ever had in my seven years here in Bristol. Seriously good, and not as expensive as you may imagine. Cute little bar too.

Yelp
Well overpriced - I heard it's pulling out of Bristol
