A 3-day, 2-night stay here was given to us as a 40th wedding anniversary gift by our 3 sons & their wives. And what a perfect gift it was! Our room 9 had the sweetest, all-around views from the multiple windows both in our corner room & in the bathroom of all the greenery, flowers & lawns. Although breakfast is no longer offered as part of the room rate, we were "grandfathered in" by the super amenable, welcoming head chef, who, in large part, is the engine behind the hotel's managing group, because our room had been booked when the breakfast plan was still in existence. Our breakfasts were presented beautifully & by servers who were super friendly & engaging, as is the rest of the staff here. The pool had not yet been filled for the summer, so we enjoyed sunning on the pool deck, the sweet sauna, walks to the lake down below the property, played shuffleboard, billiards in the way-downstairs which has stone walls, low ceilings, a wine closet, board games & game table, as well as darts. The first floor library is cozy, filled with couches, upholstered chairs, books, coloring books & colored pencils & the in-house restaurant offers 3 meals a day, either in the beautifully outfitted & sunny dining room or on the back patio, alongside a rain barrel, herb garden, smoke house, fire pit & the grassy lawns. The owners & the hotel's hospitality group are working on upgrading & updating the facilities & its offerings (including the lake!) & we applaud them for their efforts & plans. We are glad that we could fully enjoy this welcoming, beautiful old stone home & its equally welcoming staff & we thank the head chef for the bottle of Prosecco that he gifted us! P.S. I think I saw someone moving a rolling chicken coop from one part of the property to another!

My DH and I stayed here for two nights. It was a lovely hotel and we were given room number 10, which had plenty of space and a nice bathroom. The room we stayed in was Considered a loft room so our ceilings were angled. We aren’t very tall people so it didn’t bother us, but I imagine it would be a problem for someone who was tall. There was no mini fridge so we had to go out/text staff to get any cold drinks. Everything in the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was loaded with pillows, and there were extra blankets and pillows in our walk-in closet. There were no dressers to unpack, but plenty of hangers to hang things. The room was comfortable temperature wise.||At check in, we had to wait for someone at the front desk, but once they showed up, they explained all the amenities and where we could find them. There was a shuffleboard court and a bocce court and the supplies were right there, however, the area needed a little bit of sweeping and maintenance on the first night. By the second day, it was ready to go. We took the path to the lake, and found the area to be peaceful but buggy. The lake is gross with algae, but there are plenty of chairs to sit and just enjoy the quiet. We were very disappointed with the pool as something must’ve happened to the filters because it was green and the fence was locked. We were looking forward to using it.||Our package included champagne at check in and massages. We had to remind them about the champagne but it was in our room the next day. They could not accommodate a couples massage so we booked two single massages. The masseuse was professional and courteous. We did not have to worry about tipping, because that is included in the invoice that he sent over to the hotel’s billing service. I am a bit worried that the front desk didn’t understand that we had booked/paid for the massages ahead of time so we will have to keep looking at our bill to make sure that we weren’t double billed. The front desk seemed confused by some of our requests.||We had dinner and a breakfast at the Butterfield which was very good. The service was accommodating and prompt, and we were pleased by our meals. Our second night we went off the property for dinner, but when we returned, we took our champagne out by the fire pits that were already burning. We were visited by three different staff members to bring us water, put logs on the fire, and to check on us. ||All in all, I found this to be a peaceful weekend on a lovely piece of property. There were several managers visiting on the second day of our stay and there was a noticeable improvement in the staff’s attention to the property and guests. It’s obvious that the staff is continuously trying to improve services and take care of guests.

We had the best time at Hasbrouck House! The pool was the perfect temperature, there were plenty of lounge chairs & they were all set up in advance for us, our suite was the perfect size, the bathroom was awesome with an amazing walk-in shower, we were surrounded by a beautiful, woodsy setting, the study was filled with games & nice music, and the staff was phenomenal! Always checking on us to see how we were & if there was anything we needed. Yusef, the bartender, & Olivia, the waitress, were especially friendly & accommodating. We will definitely return!

Like some other reviews said, this has potential to be a wonderful luxury spot to enjoy in the area. The location is great, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. But when we arrived, no staff were to be found at the front desk and we could hear a number of them chatting away behind an employee only door. We were informed at arrival that our original room was double booked due to some system/software error and they switched us to another room. Wish we were informed of that BEFORE arriving given the rooms are not identical, so changing rooms can matter. The front desk employee didn't seem bothered or apologetic whatsoever, just merely telling us about the room change and nothing more. Frankly, the room we got in the Stable House was weird to me. It had a smaller bed than originally booked and a lofted space that wasn't really that usable and was awkward. No offer to help carry luggage - there are no elevators and the stairs are short and narrow so it would've been nice for them to do that. The property could also do with more lighting along the walkways at night since there's a lot of vegetation and the paths aren't really even. Overall, it was okay at best.

My daughter and son-in-law's wedding was held at the Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, New York, in November 2024. It was such a disappointing event that I felt it was important to document our concerns in hopes of preventing any bride and groom from having a similar experience.||Property Maintenance and Venue Conditions: From the moment guests arrived, the lack of attention to property details was glaring. These seemingly minor details contributed to an unprofessional appearance that was inconsistent with the standards expected of a wedding venue. Guests encountered non-functional TVs in several rooms and found a piece of gum stuck to a chair. There were burnt-out light bulbs in the string lights, and tables and floors were not properly cleaned. For a wedding, these initial impressions matter and unfortunately set the wrong tone. The cocktail tables were draped with ill-fitting tablecloths, and fold-up tables in the reception area had exposed legs. The walkway lights were not operational, which affected the ambiance, convenience, and safety for older guests moving between locations. Despite booking the venue exclusively, the inadequate signage allowed uninvited guests to wander into our private event spaces on both Friday and Saturday.||Food and Beverage: The food service was severely lacking.|• Friday Welcome Reception: This was one of the few positives. We appreciated the well-executed bar service, but the bartender was unaware that it was supposed to be a consumption bar. On Monday after the wedding, I was charged $4,000 on my credit card for the cocktail party, but it remains unclear how that amount was calculated.|• Saturday Breakfast: Breakfast service on Saturday began 30 minutes late. Several items were missing and not replenished, leaving guests with limited options.|• Saturday Cocktail Hour: We were missing specific appetizers, which had been deliberate choices by the couple. The absence of these items was disappointing and diminished the experience we had planned.|• Wedding Reception Dinner:|o Delayed and Disorganized Service: Meals were served inconsistently, with some guests receiving cold entrees while others waited nearly an hour longer. This delay cut into the planned dancing time, leaving only 30 minutes for the couple to celebrate on the dance floor.|o Quality of Entrees: The entrees did not resemble the selections presented at the tasting. Meals looked unappealing, portions were small, and several guests found their dishes inedible.|o Dessert Disruption: Dessert was not the same as what we tasted earlier. Coffee was not served until close to the end of dinner; if it hadn't been mentioned, it likely would not have been served at all.|• Saturday Afterparty Snacks: The quality of afterparty snacks was inconsistent.|• Sunday Brunch: The brunch was significantly delayed by over 60 minutes.||Kitchen and Staffing Issues: The venue's kitchen was clearly under-resourced and appeared unprepared for the event.|• Despite assurances that the chef from the tasting would prepare the wedding meals, it felt as if a different chef had handled the event based on presentation and quality.|• Servers did not serve the bride and groom first; food was delivered one plate at a time to various tables. The last table did not get their food until 9pm which we had to rush them to eat. The entrees came out 45 minutes after the salad.|• As a result of the delay the bride and groom only had 30-40 minutes of dancing and feeling like they couldn’t let loose after the first dances and not being able to get to the first dances until after 9pm.||After the wedding, I had a conference call with the owner of the Hasbrouck House as well as the Hasbrouck House management team which were nowhere to be found during the wedding weekend. The owner agreed that a refund was appropriate. After 7 months of negotiations a small refund was received.||I encourage you to consider my comments if you are thinking about the Hasbrouck House for an event. Be sure to ask questions and address the concerns I outlined.

Just went to Hasbrouck House for Memorial Day weekend and our 10 year wedding anniversary. ||We booked 3 nights but left early. |The property is beautiful/stunning truly. The sauna was nice. ||However the restaurant was missing 1/2 of the main dishes, leaving chicken and veggies dishes. Very disappointing. ||The front desk was empty for most of our stay. ||Amenities listed on website were not available: the pool (which opens Memorial Day weekend?) the cold plunge. We were really looking forward to trying the cold plunge and it was one of the reasons we booked there. ||And the icing on the cake was that our room was never cleaned on the second day?! For the price you pay this is outrageous. ||I would not recommend staying here.

The place is so charming and room #10 was intimate yet spacious and warm. You may walk the trails and gardens or relax by the pool. Our favorite was having pre and post dinner drinks by one of the many firepits around the yard. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The basement has a billiards table and game area, which was awesome. Butterfield, the restaurant, was recently renovated and upgraded and it showed. The ambience was intimate and comfortable with candles in teh large fireplace. The food was fresh and delicious but a bit overpriced. |CONS: the tvs in teh rooms need updating. You can't mirror your phones or utilize apps as it's not a smart TV. On a rainy day that was annoying trying to watch a movie. We'd come back for sure.

I will begin by saying that everyone who works at this hotel is lovely, the bartender is lovely and made delicious drinks. BUT, this hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get. My room was small, stuffy, and kind of humid. The bed felt a little wet. The “mini bar” is a little tray in the window sill with canned drinks. The desk is a cheap little Walmart piece. The pool is dirty (literally coated in dirt on the bottom) and the bar continued playing music that could be heard from the room even when the bar was empty at the end of the night. I understand that this is an old hotel and the rooms may be small- all of that is fine but then don’t charge $500- $600 per night (not including breakfast btw). No amount of Aesop mini shampoos can make up for cheap upgrades. I come to hotels in the Hudson valley all the time and I unfortunately won’t be coming back here to stay.

Yelp
The two H'a in Hasbrouck House do NOT stand for 'hospitality.' Alert NYC urbanites who arrive to the Hasbrouck House in historic Stone Ridge, New York via mass transit and expect competent assistance from the Front Desk. STOP. Do not pass GO. I selected the lodging due to its walking distance proximity to a meditation retreat held at 3588 Main Street. On the hottest evening of the year, I asked the front desk person whether I was to go right or left on Main to get to my retreat. They said left and gestured where to go. I did as told, and discovered there was no sidewalk. Cars were speeding by at a fast and furious pace and I was hugging the side of the road wondering how to avoid being sideswiped and killed. I waited till the cars stopped speeding by and made a mad dash back to the hotel lobby. I relayed to the front desk person that there is no safe way to walk to the retreat. She shrugs and says the sidewalks can be touch and go, no consistency. I look into getting a ride share which is non existent in Stone Ridge. I ask if there is a local cab company. She shares a taxi service number. I call and the dispatcher has never heard of the Hasbrouck House as the cab dispatcher is in Kingston. At this point, I am sweating profusely and ask the front desk person for a water. She fetches one, mumbling she will have to charge it to my overpriced room. I tell her that I am going to reserve a ride share and head back to Manhattan and that I will require a refund for my two night stay. Clearly I am not going to be able to get to the retreat which I had been previously assured by the "hotel" was a safe ten minute walk. Front desk gal says she must get the manager. After explaining it to her, the manager said that there was indeed a sidewalk to the RIGHT side of Main. Hence, I ended up race walking to my 7 pm session arriving 20 minutes late. The manager made a point of saying that no one receives a refund....ever - a hospitality pledge only made by fools. So imagine my surprise after averting death by traffic that they went ahead and invoiced me $3 for a bottle of water on a $950 hotel tab. Here's an idea! How about TRAINING the front desk people to learn how to accommodate the needs of people unfamiliar with the region? How about OFFERING water for all guests for free - most urgent during the hottest days of the year! The audacity to charge over $450 a night in a drive-by town and demand a tiny bottle of water be a la Carte! While the staircase is very narrow and steep, my room was lovely. Had I gotten killed following the "directions" of your poorly trained and feeble minded staff and been hit by a car, I am sure my fine accommodations would have meant nothing to my family. On my bus ride back, I ran into a fellow NYC traveler who was a guest at your hotel earlier in the week. On her first evening, she was awoken by a fire alarm which went off in her room. No fire; a malfunction. This has happened to me while staying at fine hotels and I was always given a complete credit for that night's lodging. Fellow NYC traveler was told that the matter had to be put up to committee. Funny, I received the same note about my water charge. This "committee" is surely captained by a fool. Consider having car service on site as an added service. Your town is NOT a destination. If you are trying to make it one, at least accommodate the poor car-less souls who had the misfortune to be stationed there. Hey Hasbrouck House management, yes, you need to build it - or in your case renovate it - for people to come, but more importantly, you need to MANAGE it.

Yelp
This is my fourth stay here. Sadly, if there isn't a remarkable turnaround, this will be my last. The staff greeted us with a bit too much enthusiasm, as if this were a pep rally for the local upstate high school. There was lots of giggling and over-exuberance, so much so that it was considered a parody. The room, while cute and quaint, had a tv with no internet access, leaving us with basic cable tv. The remote control was scotch-taped together. Room service has been discontinued. The restaurant at one time was a very nice place with great ambience, service and delicious food. That too has left the building. The food was Applebee's quality at-best. Everything was deep fried, over-salted, and plated like I was at a cafeteria. The server was either high, drunk, or both and couldn't remember anything. She took our order, then 15 minutes later returned to take our order again! She didn't put it in the first time. She seemed confused the entire time. Very peculiar experience. First thing this morning, we attempt to make a coffee in the room, and the Nespresso machine hadn't been cleaned and descaled so it was inoperable. $400 a night for this place? To the owners of this hotel, you need to clean house, both literally, and figuratively. Get rid of the giggling high school staff and employ adults that are in the hospitality business. Your chef needs to go back to making onion rings at the local diner, and your bartender needs to go to rehab. Put the scotch tape away and buy a $250 smart tv for the rooms, clean the coffee makers, and for the love of God try and manage this place with a little pride and care. I've stayed here before and it was a magical experience. This time, we left immediately this morning as we were turned off completely by the experience. Shame on you.

Yelp
It's honestly NOTHING SPECIAL. We went into Porch weekend expecting much more. The staff didn't show us around at all when we checked in...nothing. They didn't show us the grounds, where to get breakfast, our apartment...absolutely insane. The apartment itself needed a huge makeover, paint job, and cleaning. Do NOT look under the mini fridge. The restaurant was also a letdown. The food was super salty and just like the hotel, nothing special. To no fault of hasbrouck house, we ended up running into an insecure finance bro at the bar, which really put the sour turd on top of the curdled sundae.

Yelp
Wow, a truly incredible experience. My husband and I booked last minute July 4th weekend and stayed in room #17. First let me talk about the grounds and state everything was extremely clean and beautiful. Even though the inn was totally booked, it never felt crowded. The room was clean, but there was an AC issue which the inn went above and beyond to help us with and rectify the situation. Then the service was great. Everyone was so kind that worked there and helpful. I also loved the pool area and the tent where they had yummy food and movies playing at night. The restaurant is also fabulous as well. Overall, I would come here again for sure.

Yelp
I went up to get away from the city and clear my head . It was a perfect destination to do that . The staff was really nice , the room was clean and quiet, the restaurant was top notch, the bar was comfy and the grounds included Woods in the back which enabled me to commune with nature and birds , there were lots of birds . Even though it was winter and there wasn't much to do, it was perfect for what I needed . And they have a nice spa and great sauna

Yelp
We just completed a quick two night getaway and we're thoroughly pleased. First, a thank you to all the staff for being so polite, friendly, professional and helpful. I can't remember all their names, but thanks to Samantha, Kaylee, Julianna, Max, and all the rest Hasbrouck house has everything you need for a carefree quick vacation and to top it off they have pet friendly rooms, so we were able to bring our precious Zoey. An in ground pool with plenty of shade to spend your afternoon hours, I only wish the pool bar opened up earlier than 4pm But drinks were available a short walk away at the reception desk. Immaculately kept grounds, with spacious and beautiful rooms. And the on-site restaurant Butterfields was exceptional. Literally, you don't really need to leave the resort once you are there. Perhaps for breakfast, which we did. Since the complimentary breakfast didn't open until 9am. A great choice and we look forward to returning. And don't forget to look for the 25% off discount code!

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE it here! My boyfriend and I discovered Hasbrouck House last year because we won a gift card to their restaurant, Butterfield, as part of a Yelp Elite Restaurant Week Raffle. We had a lovely time dining at this romantic and intimate eatery, and even though we haven't been back to Butterfield yet (it's amazing but pricy!), we've discovered Hasbrouck House's Summer Sunset Movie series that's been running through the summer and fall! Every week, there are different movie themes, from Disney animated classics to 2020 Oscar nominees, plus an "Industry Night" on Mondays where a food and beverage themed film is shown. Past offerings have included Waitress, Big Night, and Chef - the perfect night out for the foodie in your life! The Sunset Movie is a great way to get out of the house and have some amazing food and COVID safe fun. The films are screened under an open air tent, and masks are required for guests unless you are sitting at a socially distanced table. Hasbrouck House also has an outdoor kitchen, Butcher and Bar, which offers incredible veggie/beef/Impossible burgers on pillowy sesame buns, flavorful Parmesan truffle cheese fries, and creative seasonal cocktails like (strong !!) mango margaritas and frozen spiked apple cider. That was the signature drink offering at our most recent visit, and even though the portion was relatively small, it was SO good! I'm still thinking about it. Definitely my fave fall cocktail for sure. Most of the movies begin around 7:30 PM, and the kitchen stays open till 8 for food, so you can nosh away while you watch the big screen magic. They also stay open for popcorn, beverages, and ice cream treats until the end of the film, and I highly recommend trying the local Tipsy Scoop alcohol infused ice cream (the chocolate bourbon caramel flavor is to die for), or the ZoraDora Paletas, made just a few miles away in Beacon, NY. Both are a refreshing way to end your evening! Get here before the film and take in the beauty of the grounds! Stone Ridge is an adorably picturesque town, and my boyfriend and I relish the drive to and from Hasbrouck House because we love seeing the fall foliage and the quaint back roads that wind their way through upstate New York. Getting here is half the fun! The hotel is really sweet, and rustic details like twinkle fairy lights and hidden hammocks adorn the grounds, plus they have lawn games that you can play while you wait for the film to begin. Also kudos to Hasbrouck House for offering clean bathrooms to guests who come for the movie. It's SO appreciated, honestly. The movie itself is free to attend, and this is one of the most fun and underrated hidden gem events in the Hudson Valley. If you want a unique twist to the so-so "dinner and a movie", definitely come here for a memorable night under the stars!

Yelp
- 20 stars - amazing service - amazing stay - amazing location, away from everything yet close enough to restaurants and wineries - terrible cell service - wifi is not that great either - pool is cool - nice onsight luncherant - there's a neighboring supermarket and drug store - it's cool they have movies on summer sundays and mondays - i liked the hiking trail, albeit small - not much in the way of nightlife, if that's what you're looking for - free coffee, water, snacks, donuts - there's not a staff that exists, who could be more helpful - very expensive (Mr. Dink voice) - fridges are small - no microwaves - free coffee and tea in rooms - the game room is cool if you bring friends and families - There's plenty of public bathrooms if u dont wanna number 2 around your roomates - The carriage house 13 was nice and spacious for five

Olga J.

Yelp
We had an excellent stay at Hasbrouck House. Cat (at the front desk) was so helpful. We were upgraded from a room with two twin beds to the carriage house! Also, she personally came and vacuumed our room in the evening even though she could have just told us that tidying wasn't until the next day. The flea market, movie and yoga held on the premises made the place feel special. The breakfast was lovely as well. We were so pleased and welcomed there.

Yelp
Excellent. From the staff to the room to the on-site restaurant, everything was perfect. Don't miss the trail that leads to the "secret" lake. We can't wait to return.

Yelp
My partner and I went up to the Hasbrouk House for a weekend out of the city. Celebrating a birthday and wanting to relax/ see changing leaves. The hotel did not disappoint. We stayed in Room 12 of the carriage house. Very spacious, bed was comfortable, decor is simple but lovely. The walls aren't super soundproof but wasn't horrible. We loved the nightly bonfires/ s'mores and the property surrounding the hotel. We got massages, ate the fresh donuts every morning and enjoyed a few cocktails in the living room. We also enjoyed Butterfields for dinner both nights. Food was great (esp the cauliflower). We explored Kingston and went hiking- everything very accessible to the hotel. Every staff person that we encountered was friendly and thoughtful and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a place to completely relax and escape- book a room here for the weekend. You won't regret it.

Yelp
My fiancé and I did a weekend visit in January right after the New Year. The covid numbers were high, so we were nervous, but the staff did an amazing job. When we were considering going to a restaurant in Woodstock for dinner the woman at the front desk called them to check on their Covid protocols for us. Really far an away phenomenal service. The same incredible front desk attendant made a fire just for us in the lounge area! Truth be told, we were looking for spots for our micro wedding and this was a slam dunk, so we'll be returning in the Spring and renting out the property. Not only is the staff is so friendly, approachable, and helpful. The rooms are stunning, so well appointed, with perfect design touches that honor the colonial era of the home, while modernizing it for contemporary tastes. The heated marble bathroom floors are a delight in the winter!

Yelp
, The location itself was in my opinion extremely elegant well thought out and quite surprisingly fun, we knew from the look of the menu that it was going to be good food, what we got was nothing less than perfect, exquisite Dining experience.

Yelp
My husband and I got married at Hasbrouck House in June, and we cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and its staff. From the minute we booked in Nov. 2020 until our wedding weekend, every detail was handled professionally and every person we interacted with was fantastic. Our guests continue to rave about how gorgeous the venue is and the amazing food. We can't wait to continue to visit for years to come -- big thanks to Kayleigh and the entire team for such an incredible experience!

Yelp
A first-rate restoration of a centuries-old fieldstone manor house-- a collection of comfortable rooms and suites in the main building (with lovely porch and terrace) and in several smaller ones, on lush, verdant grounds boasting a swimming pool, fire pit, and shuffleboard and bocce courts. One chief attraction is the food and beverage service, centering on one of the nicest farm-to-table restaurants around, Butterfield.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for lovely weekend getaway and it was more than just amazing! We were trying to kill two birds with one stone - have a romantic weekend away while also charging my boyfriends electric car and voila! Hasbrouck House has the best of all of the worlds with its gorgeous design (see; custom wallpapers, velvets and heated bathroom floor), welcoming staff (& their handsome golden labs), cozy fireplace, delicious restaurant and outdoor pool (with a hammock made for hanging). Ten out of ten stars! Would recommend!

Yelp
I just spent two nights at the Hasbrouck House and truly cannot wait to return! My boyfriend and I savored the opportunity for a midweek getaway; and boy, did this deliver! From the very first moment we knew this was special- as we checked in we were greeted by a lovely young lady, Ali, who offered us apple cider and donuts as she informed us she had lit the wood stove in our room in anticipation of our arrival and quickly delivered extra pillows at our request. We stayed in the Carriage House Classic Suite and we were in heaven. The room is warm and inviting. It is beautifully designed and decorated with a fantastic blend of modern, classic, and antique touches. The sublime bathtub is a focal point and for good reason- the wood stove is right next to it and there is a beautiful view of the stone smokehouse that the restaurant makes great use of. The tub was so inviting that we took a special trip to go buy some luxe bubbles and treats (not to be missed- the Hasbrouck's very own candle, "Old Stone House"). The bed was divine. It took every ounce of motivation I had to pry myself away from that bed to venture outside! The grounds were stunning. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer- the thought of enjoying their offering of a Thursday night outdoor movie screening of The Addams Family had me begging for just another 24 hours! We were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday night and the staff was thoughtful to send us dining recommendations before our stay since the on-site restaurant, Butterfields, is closed on Tuesday evening. We had fantastic drinks at Stockade Tavern in nearby Kingston and a truly wonderful meal at The Spy for dinner. Butterfields on Wednesday night did not disappoint. The dining room has a wonderful warm and architecturally historic feel; all with excellent food and service. Our server, Miriam, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us excellent recommendations. The meal was fantastic and we enjoyed a nightcap at the bar with her afterwards. This was a perfect get away. Even before we left we were already planning our return. Everything was exceptional.

Yelp
This review is regarding the reservation process for people with a certified service dog, not a pseudo-ESA pet. I couldn't have been more disappointed with how the front desk responded to my questions about being a guest with a service dog. They wanted us to switch rooms mid stay and had all of these regulations that are NOT compliant with ADA requirements. I pointed this out as front desk clerk went to ask the manager a question for a third time, and I asked to just have the manager speak to me directly rather than putting the poor desk clerk in the middle. The manager was suddenly unavailable though I had heard her a moment earlier. If you are running a hotel, I understand you don't want people's pets destroying the rooms or barking and waking guests - but you can't treat people with a service animal like second class citizens. While I'm sure it's a beautiful Inn, I won't be giving my business to them. We booked with a rival hotel and that staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful.

Yelp
We stayed at Hasbrouck House on the last night of our NY trip and this place is phenomenal! The grounds are simply a delight along with the hotel & staff. We spent our afternoon on a hike to the neighboring apple orchard and lake which should be a back drop for a movie! High marks for the room, decor and attention to detail! The restaurant, food and staff were fantastic. Thanks to Meg, Miriam & the five deer on the lawn for making our stay so pleasant...hope to be back soon!

Yelp
Really nice decor. Loved the heated bathroom floors. Sensuous! Loved the snow shoeing, the sugar donuts in the morning, the drinks at the bar. Butterfield restaurant was just ok

Yelp
Took my wife here for her 50th birthday weekend. Kayleigh and the rest of the front desk staff were great. I was helped along the way with the initial reservation, flowers and champagne for the room, along with a nice ammenity gift box. The brunch and dinner plans, along with local map of attractions nearby too. Definitely a great boutique hotel with an awesome onsite restaurant (Butterfield's). Have to love those ambient heated bathroom floors also. The property itself is beautiful and it's a great weekend getaway location! Woodstock and area hiking locations like Lake Minnewaska are just a few minutes away. Local eatery Hash is great for breakfast or lunch. We also enjoyed a few drinks at Arrowood Farms Brewery with food truck onsite, after we crushed our 5 mile hike - http://www.arrowoodfarms.com/ Stay here. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This placed looked so cute! I was very excited about staying here but when I called and spoke to someone on the phone, they kept telling me to reserve through their website and acted like they didn't want to be on the phone with me. They really didn't seem like they wanted me to ask any questions and didn't particularly care if I reserved a stay with them. While I would have been happy to give my business, I'm going to stay elsewhere.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at the Hasbrouck House and it was a last minute reservation. We were so glad we found this place!! As soon as we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff. We were tired of all the driving we did that day. The atmosphere at the house is incredible with such great charm. After we checked in, we spent time in front of a beautiful fireplace and just relaxed. We decided to have dinner at Butterfield's. Alan was the bartender at the restaurant that evening and he was very helpful. Alan did a great job advising us which entree to go with or suggesting a great drink. The room was impeccable and the bed was really comfortable. The attention to detail is what sets this place apart. Overall the experience we had there was great and we will definitely be back sooner rather than later.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed just one night at Hasbrouck House and we hope to return soon! We opted for a smaller room to save money, but the amenities, vibe, and service were stellar. We arrived around 1pm for our 3pm checkin, and though I neglected to call ahead, our room was ready and we were welcomed. The kind concierge provided maps and guides and s'mores kits for the nightly bonfire. We headed to the pool straightaway! That afternoon, we went to the excellent nearby Hash for lunch and took a drive over to Mohonk Preserve's Spring Farm Trailhead parking lot--15 minute drive. We stopped by the grocery and liquor store in the charming shopping center right next to hotel on the way back. We didn't test it, but I'd say you could walk to Hash and the shopping center if you're there without a car. There was no mini fridge in our room, but the front desk provided an ice bucket so we took some chilled rose out to the patio to hang out before an amazing dinner at Butterfield. After dinner, we grabbed more wine from our room and hung out around the fire--one other couple was out there, otherwise the property was very quiet. In the morning, we had fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, and complimentary delicious pastries. We spent the afternoon exploring Kingston. The stay was a serious treat, very affordable since we enjoyed a midweek discount, and easily accessible from NYC via a rental car. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
What a beautiful property! My husband and I came to stay over Christmas weekend and I feel like we missed out on a lot that the property had to offer -- we tried to walk the trail to the apple orchard but that proved to be slippery with ice and snow so we had to turn back pretty quickly. The pool was of course closed and the bon fire pit covered in snow. I bet summers would be amaaaaazing here. For nearly $500 a night, I guess would've expected HH to come up with creative ways to improve the experience in the winter. For example, maybe an enclosed sun porch or heat lamps on the porch so that patrons could spend time outside without freezing. As it stands, the only common area is the club lounge which is a small little room off the bar with a glorious fireplace. HH opened mid2016 so they are still pretty new and I know HH is making plans to add more offerings so I'm interested in what they have in store. I also wished the front desk would have been more specific in letting us know what activities were available in the area over the holiday weeked (i.e. where could we ice skate, what was closed over the holiday weekend, etc). The mood at the front desk was very new york city-y in that they were handsoff and left us alone for the most part, which is ok too. The rooms are a little bare (remember to bring slippers if you come in the winter!) but are stocked with sparkling water and kiehls bath products. There also isn't any toothbrushes/toothpaste but Rite Aid is right next door for any supplies you need. I saved the best for last but possibly the best things in the room were the radiant heated bathroom floors (SO LUXURIOUS) and the bed (we slept like 3 times a day). also note: the cell service is pretty bad in this area for tmobile tldr: this was a perfect stay for our purposes (we needed to destress and unwind from planning our wedding in three months) but make sure you know what you're coming in for.

Yelp
The Hasbrouck House has been totally renovated and in the finest possible manner. It is old world meets new world. The beautiful 1757 stone house retains its old world ambience while the lovely and comfortable bathrooms (with fabulous heated floors), and bedding that is superb, provide the marvelous amenities that make staying in this inn simply delightful. The restaurant at Hasbrouck House is outstanding! Marvelous food and libations prepared extremely well and served beautifully. I look forward to returning to this lovely inn.

Yelp
Gorgeous renovation of an historic property. This area was really devoid of a truly stylish place to stay. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and I love touches like radiant heating in the bathrooms. The bar and lounge areas are really cozy in the winter with a fire going and people playing board games. Can't wait to go back in the summer when the pool is open. The grounds are beautiful as well and I love the trail to an apple orchard and lake.

Yelp
SERENE + PEACEFUL GETAWAY I spent a night at the Hasbrouck House as a last-minute getaway with some of my closest childhood friends (sans partners and kids). We all stayed in the Stable House, which was filled with beautifully-decorated rooms, all laid out perfectly to allow for privacy and comfort. Each room was set up a little differently, but each with inviting decor, great bathrooms with Kiehl's products, and very comfortable beds. Dinner at Butterfield was fabulous--we started in the cozy bar area, then moved to the dining room. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect for a cold winter night. The smoked trout croquettes, shiitake mushrooms, and butter poached cod were all phenomenal, and the crème brûlée was one of the best I've had. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly, and the grounds were gorgeous--I highly recommend this hotel, and can't wait to return in the warmer weather to try out the pool!

Yelp
Outstanding! The bar was just setting up to open and the bartender told us to just come in an enjoy. Great conversation and we decided to have a little appetizers in lounge. The food and service was very enjoyable. The fireplace was lit by the chief and then he when to kitchen after telling us about the smoke house the local food quality . Looking forward in returning to enjoy breakfast or dinner. Great

Yelp
Two weeks ago myself as well as my sister checked in to the Hasbrouck House for a night due to our trip to Mohonk Mountain to go hiking. The pictures of the location were beautiful, and when pulling in we were definitely not disappointed! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. We checked in on a Monday and not only were we able to check in early, they upgraded our room to a balcony room!!!! The receptionist who checked us in and upgraded our room was extraordinary. She was so accommodating and went as far as to give us good food tips in the area! We took a stroll down to the lake, attempted to make a fire(but we suck), and swam in the pool. I am a hotel snob, I will only settle for the best of the best and have no problem spending whatever money necessary to get it. I'm very hard to impress, but our room was so clean and cozy. I was in love!!! I'm a Medical Aesthetician, so the fact that they use Kiehl's products was a bonus. I can't express to you how much we enjoyed our night at the Hasbrouck House and we are already planning a trip to come back so we have more time to enjoy! Take my advice, you will be very happy. Plus our bathroom was the most gorgeous bathroom I've seen. So excited to go back!!

Yelp
I was excited to go to the NEW Butterfield at Hasbrouk House restaurant as I had heard Chef Def had moved to their kitchen. Chef Def all ways comes thru with delightfully healthy and flavorful options. We stopped by for lunch Saturday. He offered us the fried artichoke hearts. hands down WOW. a delightful unfolding of crispy/moist flavor and texture. I have a gluten issue and because they did'nt have any gluten free bread options yet (soon to come) he saluted spinach for my eggs Benedict. He is a person with a big heart and cares about what goes into people's bodies. Also the hotel/restaurant has just undergone a renovation. It is lovely/stately yet also relaxed and friendly. A pool room is being added in the basement as well.

Yelp
To start right off, this place is beautiful, look no further. My husband and I needed a place to stay while in town for our 1 yr anniversary. He found this on hotels tonight, booked it sight unseen, and we couldn't have been happier. It's just one of those places that does everything right. From the minute you walk through the curtain entrance, you're greeted by a lovely soft spoken woman who outlines everything the hotel has to offer in the most chill calming way, putting you right at ease, and as she's speaking you start noticing the details right away- the marble counters, contrasted w/ the black paint, then the room key is attached to an old school leather type chain, not the usual lame key card used by all else. As you enter the room, the subtle details continue, avoiding the matchy-matchy vibe for a more thought out collected over time look, moving your eye around the room. You then move to the bathroom and all I can say is wow!!! Marble and subway tile from head to toe, a beautifully tiled stand alone shower, and to top it off, radiant heated floors!!! That sold me, and I hadn't even moved to the bed, which gave us the most restful sleep, insanely comfy and welcoming. All in all my husband and I were more than impressed w/ the overall attention to detail of this place, and we left w/ such a lovely vibe we can't wait to come back.
