Barrio Logan Is Getting a Six-Seat, Omakase-Style Sushi Bar | Eater San Diego

"Above Becker’s Logan Avenue restaurant Fish Guts, Ambrely Ouimette has partnered with Pablo Becker to open Barrio Logan’s first omakase-only, six-seat sushi bar, slated to open before the end of the year; the beyond-intimate, multi-course experience will be offered at two seatings per night with price points of $55 or $110 per person. Trained in the classic Japanese edomae style, Ouimette’s mostly nigiri- and sashimi-based “new wave” menu will include nods to French technique, subtle Mexican influences, and elements inspired by her Ukrainian and Italian heritage, and Tommy Gomes’s Tunaville Market will supply sustainable seafood for the offerings." - Candice Woo

Super cool vibe of this place, very tasty and fresh food. Ordering via QR code is easy and convenient. All you can eat option is the best choice if you want to taste everything on the menu and cooking the meat yourself makes it a very unique and cool experience. Tasty Japanese beer to add! Definitely worth checking out and I'm pretty sure I'll be back again!

All you can eat BBQ & Sushi is value for money which comes with so many options. The ordering system by QR code is quite unique, no time limit but you can only order 4 items per order per person every 15 mins but that was no problem to us at all. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Sushi quality is also good.

One of the better places for sushi and grill in Alkmaar. The service is good and friendly, there's no time limit or a limit on the number of rounds, which makes it a relaxing eating experience. Presentation of the food is also very good. Recently they changed from ordering the dishes via paper to ordering via a QR code and their website on your own phone, and it works very well. I definitely recommend eating here.

Don’t walk in. We arrived without a reservation and were asked to sit very close to the front door with the cold wind hitting our faces ( including my 3 year old daughter) every time some one came in. The most outrageous thing was that there were clearly empty tables during our whole stay… the food was ok, but it took them very long to bring our meals. Also not kids friendly; On top of that it was very expensive.

Been there couple times with friends, we really enjoyed sushi and bbq grill. Good quality meat served in thin slices. For dessert I recommend green tea and black sesame ice cream!! Decent all you can eat price and amazing service

Hasekura is wonderfully located in the city center of Alkmaar, oppossite the Bloemenschuit near de Mient. It has a warm and stylishly decorated interior (warm reds and and turquoise blue and green). Comfortable booths with plenty of space and comfortable seats and even hooks for your jacket. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. It is an all you can eat restaurant with fair prices. You choose sushi and other typical japanese dishes during rounds from a menu. You can also include to use the grill, which costs extra (2,50€). It is highly recommended for the sheer fun of it and the high quality meat. I can highly recommend Hasekura, certainly when you are craving for BBQ but don't want to eat fat or overeat. They also have plenty of vegetarian dishes by the way.
