I love the Stube, my favorite neighborhood spot. Cameron is a delight, great at making a big beer list more understandable. Best bar fries around, phenomenal beer, and a delightful vibe.

This is a good Bier joint. Nice neighborhood place in Brooklyn to wind down, hold a meet up with friends or to just chill. The service is friendly. The Beers are good and the food will please. Chess boards on the sidewalk tables. You can people watch as the vibrant diverse neighborhood flows by.

Nice place to have a drink with friends. Nice welcoming decor and a huge selection of beers and non alcoholic beverages. The food menu is very limited. Food is not so tasty, just okay. The apple strudel is good. They really need to improve their food menu and add some more varieties.

slow and dismissive service. one bartender, waited 20 mins to order and was ignored the whole time. just wound up leaving. bunch of kids running around w their parents too which was a weird vibe. would not recommend or come back.

I am so sorry to post this review. Tonight my family met up at what we thought is our new neighborhood bar. We had a few rounds of beer. We joined the trivia night. And because we are kosher-eating Jews, which is common in this area, I asked a staff member (which I only learned later was the trivia coordinator) if I could order pizza to eat outside, as I have done in other places around this neighborhood, and he said no problem. When the pizza arrived, two of our party went outside to take our turns eating food…a server came outside and told us to stop. Even when I explained what happened, and that the trivia coordinator told us we could eat our Kosher food outside, the server insisted we stop immediately. When we kept saying we wanted to continued the trivia and order more drinks, he finally went in and brought out the bartender who acted cold to us (after buying three rounds of drinks for our group with a potential for more). All in all, I am not sure why - if they bring in a trivia coordinator who makes a statement to us - that they wouldn’t just have the decency to back it up that one time and welcome us as customers… but instead make us embarrassed in front of their entire outside crowd!? Well, I am never going there again. And I will tell everyone in my neighborhood about how we were treated. This area has so many kosher Jews. It’s just not okay how we felt being shamed for the good faith we had when being told by someone we couldn’t know was an outside trivia coordinator that this was okay. We are always be try careful to not overstep bounds of proprietors.

Great place for a beer and games. Our server was amazing and had us laughing. The beers were awesome. Definitely going back...

Great traditional German beer selection, excellent brats and other regional fare. Family friendly, rustic atmosphere and mixed clientele.

New spot in the neighborhood. Fully commits to its German beer haus theme with its decor consisting of thick dark wooden trim on white plaster, a few rows of simple bench/table combos, even a pair of antler chandeliers. I had the hot mulled apple cider which was not overloaded with cider as many spiked ciders can be. Welcome to the neighborhood! Update: I was given a free sausage due to a banking error in my favor and as a result I owe this place a blood oath of fealty Post Covid update: Thank the beer and sausage gods that this place survived the shut down and is back up and running. The sausages are flavorful and girthy, the beer is crisp and flows like water. Proof positive that we are no longer on the darkest timeline.

great ambience and a place to hang out with friends. i came on a weekday evening with a couple of friends and we enjoyed dinner. i tried the pretzel, which was a large size. great dipping sauces, and overall HasenStuble had a very cool, laid-back, chill feel. I would come back again. a little bit more on the pricey side. the food was brought out in maybe 30 minutes or so, reasonable for a party of six.

I've officially surrendered to their culinary spell. Every aspect of their food pleased us, including taste and plating. Staff members showed genuine interest and the place has a central location. The employees were warm and welcoming. You'll be pleased with your experience!

I should've listened to the reviews about the bad bartender but I thought, "How bad could it be?" The answer: bad. I've never wanted to walk out of an establishment before ordering before, but this place did me in. Rude bartender. He was complaining about his day/job before we even ordered (so bad energy to start), refused to let us order separately at the bar (keep in mind the bar was empty as it's a Tuesday night), when my friend asked if they had water he said "I'll give it to you if you ask nicely", and told us at 9:30pm the kitchen was closed. Would avoid this place if possible and give your business and tip generously elsewhere!

Great food(including some vegan choices), good company, great service & then there's beer!!! Personally I like a cider but you get it. Watch the 2024 Presidential Debate here. Usually closed but they opened for it. It is now the only way to watch these kinds of things. Instead of yelling and throwing things at the TV; I was slightly drunk and laughing with the crowd. Ha, ha, ha Eating Dogs.., he's so funny! Ha, ha, ha. More beer, pls.

I live locally and have loved coming to this bar with friends. But recently I had a bad experience. I never write reviews for places but after seeing so many negative Google reviews from the past month (‼) I've decided to chime in. I had a bad experience with one of the bar tenders. Judging by all these reviews lately about a tricky bar tender, this might be him! He wanted to ID me, fine and understandable. This is how he did it: he laughed at me in front of the other two people at the bar and loudly verbalized "haha I HAVE to see some ID, you look like you are twelve years old!" Never experienced this inappropriate behavior before. Judging by the way he was being rude and speaking louder than might be appropriate for a bar filled with 3 other people, it seemed like he was drinking on the job? I said sure... politely passed it over and began my order. I tried to act normal even though I was shocked and hurt by his words and the way it felt like he laughed at me upon first impression in front of other customers. I have no problem being ID'd, I have a problem with being insulted. I have a problem with the attitude being thrown belligerently without instigation. This has never happened to me before, I didn't even want to touch my beer and barely drank any of it before leaving. That was awkward.. no apology and then my food order took 20 additional minutes to come out. The service has typically been slow here even when the venue is "empty" but I come back because I like to support local businesses. There's normally one cook in the kitchen and one bartender. They have some games in the back and during warmer weather they set out tables and chairs in front. Yes it's a little pricey for the food and drinks. It could be cleaner and better maintained and I have seen some bugs crawling around. I heard trivia night is fun. I'm only going to comment on what I'd like to see as someone who enjoyed coming here in the past: please just be kind to your customers. This wasn't a situation of me being playful with the bartender and then getting offended as we joked around. It was an inappropriate comment. For management: please be kind to your customers. Please try to communicate if you think it'll take a little extra time for orders because that's what guest hospitality is about. Please listen to those in the community who are saying your new bartender does not have appropriate customer service.

Indoor German Biergarten with a decent selection of beers. The food is a little bland and they serve on paper plates. The real thing bringing this place down is the awful service. Went here twice two months ago and the bartender was incredible short and rude. He was practically yelling at patrons. We get that you're busy. Please don't take it out on us. On top of that, trivia night is a bit of a mess. It's an incredibly clicky night, and whoever runs trivia, him and all his friends essentially run the bar that night and are able to get service first, no matter if you were in line for your order or not. Place is a mess. Also an active roach problem. Would steer clear, wouldn't be shocked if it shut down anyway

Food and drink selection reliably decent with nice and casual atmosphere; service a bit spotty recently.

Used to be a super fun and friendly place in the past, but the service has taken a huge dive. Miko and Joe were super responsive and friendly, and the British guy was awesome. The current guy snaps and screams at customers when there's too many orders for him, the benches and tables are wobbly, and we spotted multiple roaches on two separate visits. Not surprising, seeing as it was recently shut down by the health department. Good luck with the hours btw, place open and closes whenever they please, guess its a 24 hour stay for rats and roaches though. STAY AWAY

One of the few bars in Brooklyn I've been to that actually has adequate seating and doesn't feel super crowded-- love this place for group outings. Good variety of beers and they let you sample a few before buying. Really enjoyed the pretzel with cheese-- it's huge and delicious. I also tried the kielbasa on a pretzel roll with one of their specialty toppings (Manchego cheese, caramelized onions, fig spread, apples), which was tasty as well.

Whoo hoo! My roommate and I found our neighborhood spot. Every time we've been here, Demetrius has been behind the bar. He is so kind and always lets us try a bunch of samples. He has great recommendations and is always willing to explain what makes each beer special. I've sampled many of their drafts, and they're all excellent. They have a great variety of lights and darks along with some fruity ciders! They also have some yummy food items for order. We've tried a couple of the pretzels along with some latkes. Every kitchen item has always come out super fresh and warm. Both the pretzels and latkes came with distinct dipping sauces that made the whole experience feel like we were at Oktoberfest. We can't get enough of this brewery!

I love HasenStüble! The taproom is very relaxed with big wood picnic tables and dim lighting. There are board games for groups of all sizes, making this a great afternoon spot for colder days. Service is great, lots of on tap options plus German food. My favorite dishes were the smoked apple sausage and the pretzel. Cannot wait to go back!

I love this place - super friendly staff, clean indoor and outdoor tables, dog friendly on the outdoor patio, and a variety of really great beers on tap, hefty pours. They have trivia some nights, and a fun local neighborhood

I may have once given this place 4 stars, but in the past year or so they've become tiresomely unreliable. We don't have that many bars in this part of Flatbush, so we have no choice but to try to be regular customers. But boy they don't make it easy. My husband loves their beers and often wants to eat a brat there--but many times (more than 4) he's been turned away because "the cook wasn't there yet" or they were "out of" X,Y, or Z. This would happen consistently, pretty late into service (after 5pm, easily) until we got fed up and figured we couldn't go there for food anymore. Furthermore, getting anything there as a non beer drinker is a slog. Yeah, I know it's a German beer garden--but even beer gardens in Germany have a reliably good aperol spritz, right? Hasenstuble didn't for a very long time, until they recently announced it! But guess what? Every time we've been by, they've been out of that too. What gives? This place used to be great. But now it just feels like whoever owns it wants to deal with it as little as possible. I'm not inclined to believe good things about the owner given how often they seem to go on Google reviews to rip into the negative reviews. Flatbush deserves better!

I came in on a Wednesday to read, and I have a service animal (wearing a service dog vest). The bartender refused to serve me, saying a dog had recently "bit a bartender in the neck." I said I had a service animal who is legally allowed to accompany me. Over the course of the next few minutes, the bartender accused me of lying and of acting like I owned the bar and refused to let me sit. He asked for "papers" for my service animal; I calmly told him he cannot ask for papers but can ask what services my animal performs and that this is according to law. The bartender still refused to allow me to sit . He claimed my animal was not a service animal and was not wearing a vest (which he was). He never asked what services my animal performs. Other patrons told him that my service animal could not be excluded from the bar. He claimed I was treating him like he was stupid and acting like I owned the bar. This is illegal, a breach of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please train your staff on how to deal with service animals. I left, humiliated and on the verge of tears.

Got that shiny new place smell. Cozy atmosphere. Very spacious place offering both bar and communinal bench seating. We sat accross the huge TV playing football. They also had cardboard games to play. Drinks. Of course lots of beers to chose from. Enjoyed the Weinenstephan Vitus, very fruity and light bitter aftertaste. Loved the prosecco (Holler sekt). Food menu wasn't extensive. Pretzel came out steamy hot, very soft. Really good bread. Not a big fan of the salt on top but it was easy to take off. I loved the Brezel mit Obazda (German cheese spread), perfect pairing with their pretzel. We also ordered the 2 sausages they had on the menu: the Keilbasa and the Chorizo KaseKrainer. Both served on a toasted "pretzel bread" bun. Decent and filling portion. Casual local spot, good for a meetup or game night.

Came here with some friends on a cloudy Sunday. Beer selection was great, a variety of seating, friendly for dogs and cats (yes, cats) and the food was solid. We got: Big Pretzel with Cheese - a tad crispy but good flavor Spam Sandwich with Cheese - a little sweet but also pretty good, like I'd get it again good. We also tried a few beers, all of which were poured well. Service was friendly and efficient. There are a bunch of games you can play, too. All in all this is definitely a fun spot that would be easy to bring friends or family to.

Down to earth crowd and plenty of seating inside (some at the bar and the rest at communal picnic tables - definitely a social place). I got sucked into a game of trivia which isn't usually my thing but I had a good time. The big pretzels are on point, soft and salty served with two kinds of mustard. The curry brats are bomb! I wasn't sure how that curry flavor would work in a sausage but it was great, and they were super tender. The fried zucchini latkes are also delicious. Nice beer menu. You'll definitely leave stuffed and happy.

Unfortunately (and unconfirmed) but they may be soon closing/relocating so I hope it stays close enough to walk to because this has been the go-to spot to grab beers after work. Hours are a bit weird so make sure to check their site first. Very large space with indoor and outdoor/sidewalk space that is suitable for groups of any size. Typical German style bar with long communal tables, German decor and beers. The staff/bartender who usually works there is super cool, always willing to have a conversation and gives great recommendations on the selection. I haven't attended but they're always advertising local events at their space (trivia, contests, etc). Food/Drink: -Selection of 15-20 different German style beers -German pub food: pretzels, sausages etc. (v good, 5/5) Long story short; Great spot, great beers and great service.

4 stars for the decor and drink selection. Friendly bartender on a rainy night. Close walk from SUNY Downstate for end of the day debriefing meetings. Newly renovated space, smells like a log cabin with new but rustic inspired decorations. ( antler chandeliers snd taxidermy) Bar height is a little off... too high for the the barstools. Classic communal garden tables and appears to have space out front when the weather improves. Good selection of German lagers and a smaller selection from local breweries. Pretzel came out piping hot and big enough to share. Sausage ( brat & cheddar brat ) nothing special, commercially available rather than fresh made. Overall nice addition to the neighborhood

Grabbed some beer at HasenStuble on Friday evening. A solid beer bar focused on German style brews with enough food to keep you going. Quality: HasenStuble is a chic new German beer bar in Prospect Lefferts Garden. They have an impressive list of German draft beers as well as a fair amount of American craft beers. They also added on a few mixed drinks, German soft drinks, and food items. During my visit I enjoyed a Spaten Marzen and a Schneider Aventinus as well as a Small Brezel Mit Obazda. While I was not crazy about my greasy pretzel, the beers were fantastic. Quantity: Multiple size choices for beers, and small or large options for food items. Value: $7.50 for most 0.5L Beers. $8 for a Small Brezel Mit Obazda. Ambiance: HasenStuble is a new German beer bar in the Prospect Lefferts Garden area of Brooklyn. The bar looks out of place, but right out of the gate they are doing great things. Giant windows, a beer garden feel, and a beautiful bar, it is easy to appreciate what this beer bar is doing. The 80s goth rock soundtrack was strange, yet also felt very appropriate. Crowd: Small crowd on Friday evening. A few folks at the bar and multiple groups of friends at the tables. Service: Great bartender. I arrived at the very end of happy hour and he rushed over to make sure I ordered a beer in time. Parking: Street parking throughout the area.

Such an amazing addition to the neighborhood. That classic German Beer feel mixed with a casual neighborhood spot. Plenty of tables with tons of bar space. At least a dozen awesome German beers on tap with plenty of other domestic options. Tons of board games and other activities, such a great spot to spend a few hours with friends, grab a few beers and pretzels, and just have a great afternoon. Will be back soon!

- Wonderful selection of tasty beers * Ive only had one, and it was good. I'm sure whatever your choice happens to be, it'll be the right one - the potato salad was honey mustardy and tasty - the hollen sect was really good. Idk why its in the hot section tho - the wife scarfed the kielbasa, and didn't care, I assume it was good - environment is well lit - the big screen makes for this a desirable place to watch sports - only six ppl here on a Saturday night around 11 - nice service - I like the pretzel rolls for the sausages - The cheese for the pretzel is really strong and overbearing, but I liked it. the wife is a huge fan also - I liked my chicken sausage, it was really juicy and the pretzel roll caught it with perfection

Love this place! Max is a super friendly and helpful bartender, we got a lot of good tips from him and he gave us a few beers to try. The latke pancakes were really great and the perfect ratio of fried to potato, the brat was on a pretzel bun which was a fun touch. Would recommend stopping in here if you are ever in the area! They also mentioned there is trivia on sundays!

I've come here a few times to enjoy the beer, wurst platter and potato pancakes but my last experience was unsettling. I realize we're all adapting to new rules in dining for sake of staying safe and healthy but the employee we dealt with refused to be understanding with my party. My mother is diabetic and unfortunately was dealing with low blood sugar episode while we enjoyed our drinks and I had my wurst platter. She and my brother ordered elsewhere and we were going to go back to my apartment to eat our respective meals but she was unable to move at the risk of falling so we bought orange juice from a nearby deli. I also thought we should just eat where we were so she could get her strength back. The employee came out to tell us we had to leave since we had some outside food with us despite the fact I gave business by buying the platter and we all had drinks from them. I was interrupted as I was explaining that my mother is diabetic and just needed to get her bearings. He quickly spoke over me and said we could take a few minutes but we had to leave. I was going to buy another beer from them but after that I was done. I had to deal with nervously walking my mother back to my place despite her not being fully ready to move. I don't appreciate being put in that position after being a patron to an establishment in these tough times. Let's not lose our humanity in the name of rules.

What an amazing addition to PLG! My husband and I are thrilled to death to have this cozy German Biergarten open up. There are several long picnic tables with benches inside and when it's summer, they're going to open up an outdoor space that will be dog-friendly! My friends and I hung out there last night. We love the quiet low-key mid-week atmosphere. There was plenty of space for us to sprawl out. We ordered various craft American beer and German imports. Everyone was happy with the quality of the beer. I ordered a bratwurst, which came on a pretzel bun. A little smaller than I expected, but it was absolutely delicious. I got to taste both the potato and zucchini pancakes and IMO, the zucchini pancakes were better. I prefer potato pancakes where it's clear that shredded potatoes went into it. These potato pancakes tasted more like they were made from mashed potatoes. Not saying they were bad pancakes, but they weren't my style. I also tried the orange-ginger Biomade, which is a German fermented soda. It was a vinegery tang to it. If you love shrubs, you will love this drink.

Great place to chill out on the patio and have a beer and sausages. My dog loves hanging out on the ledge outside to people-watch.

I love the intimate and comfortable vibe of HasenStuble. The communal tables and coat hooks on the brick walls called me inside while the German beers and sausages kept me at stay. There's also a few board games in the back and they're not missing any pieces yet! I've been looking for a gem like this in PLG/East Flatbush!

I am very disappointed with the follow up service from HasenStuble. I went to HasenStuble a couple weeks ago and was over charged more then $20 from my original bill. I know this because I specifically remember ordering 2 drinks (Not a lot of money but it's the principle that counts) Anyway I called HasenStuble to see if they can verify my purchase in they're pos system but they coincidentally couldn't find my transaction or the receipt. Go figure, I was then told to email the owner in which I did and of course no recourse for they're mistake. It's a shame because it this is something that happens often here.

Beers are good. Classic german so easy drinking. Haven't tried the food yet. Lots of outdoor tables. Only negative is you are required to go inside for a table even though there are qr menus on the table. There is only one sign that says this policy, so we sat and looked at the menu and then lost the last open table to people who arrived after us but went inside before us. It would be good to have little signs on each table next to the qr code that says to check in before sitting. We also overheard the man who took the only outside table say they were fine with sitting inside so it would have been smart to check with all three groups to try to find seating for everyone

Wurst bar ever. Does not fit the neighborhood and does nothing to add value. Last night night had an après-ski theme and there was a guy playing songs by John Denver. Like really? Read the avenue. Also, it was really noisy and they serve food on paper plates. There's nothing appealing about it besides delicious German beer, which I could less gentrifier's guilt-riddenly drink in another neighborhood.

Friendly staff, great neighborhood hangout spot. Good beer and cider selection. And the option to have Nutella with the giant pretzel is a real treat!

Want good beer? German beer? Then this is your place. Everything from Spaten to Weihenstephan, with brats and pretzels for food. Good prices and good company. Large TV playing sports, and several non-beer options such as cider and mulled wine available. Great place!

The quality and variety of beer are the only things saving this from a 1 star review. I was really excited for this addition to PLG and am hopeful that my opinion changes in the future. It reminded me of many other biergartens I have been to in the area, with upgraded seating. The wurst platter tastes akin to the rollers that are available at 7/11 and similar stores. That is not necessarily a knock, as I did not come here for the food. But it is worth noting as I would not come to this place for dinner, but it has enough to keep you going if you are looking for a snack or booze soaker. The red cabbage was solid and both the sauerkraut and pretzel were standard fare. The pretzel bun, however, was a nice touch. What absolutely ruined it, though, was the server. He was unnecessarily passive aggressive and condescending. I will give it another try strictly because of the beer, but it will not be when the same server is working.

Stumbled into this place late on a Saturday night after dinner with friends- the warm lights and big open space invited us in, and the extensive beer menu definitely kept our attention. The drinks were delicious, and I'll definitely be back to try the food! Thrilled to have this space moving into warmer weather, and I definitely see this place being a great weekend or post work spot! A great new spot in PLG for sure.

Rarely leave reviews but this place is awesome. Puzzles, beer and big screen tv. All very good and exciting. Downside - puzzle was missing a piece, but I guess that's life

This is an amazing local bar with great hospitality, games, bar snack, and Beer. They also have an assortment of wine and non alcoholic beverages. Highly recommended. Also, Hernan is a gem.

love this place, and the sausages are BOMB. hernan the bartender was super attentive and sweet. can't wait to come back here again.
