Since I was down the street at Hashem's Market, I figured I would swing by here to check out their coffee selection. Like the market, the place is small, but the selection is great.
I like this coffee place because for a few different reasons. For starters, the customer service here is amazing. It was just this one guy working with a helper dude doing stock. After wandering around the store for a minute, I talked to the guy about his coffee selection. He said that they are known for their Turkish coffee, which I like but don't drink often.
The service guy, who must be the owner, was extremely friendly, nice and welcoming. If I hadn't talked to him, I probably would have left, not purchased anything and given a mediocre review. We talked about Turkish coffee, how it's made, and where he gets it from. He also showed me the utensils used to make the coffee, which were relatively inexpensive.
Speaking of the coffee utensils, he had a cute variety of turkish coffee makers to choose from. The copper pot was like $15, but I opted for the aluminum one for $5. I also got a half pound of the specialty Turkish coffee that he combined for me with Cardamom. My total bill? $11. What? Yes, $11. Try walking out of Starbucks for that! NOT!
I also noticed that they have a location in Lebanon, and that's where it all started in 1959. Fortunately, I can also order this product again online, so I don't have to drive to Dearborn to get more coffee.
They also have a great selection of nuts, specialty food along with some really tasty treats. Even though this place isn't huge, may I recommend coming here if you like coffee. Lots of foot traffic, but the parking here is awful. That's my only complaint. There's like 2 spaces out front or sidestreet parking, and it's a tight squeeze all the way around.
I love you Hashem's, and you are the best. I will gladly buy from here again.
