Hassles Ice Cream

This place has been here for years! They must be doing something right! If you want a good and tasty ice cream, then this is your place. It’s not the best I’ve ever had but it’s really very good. I had the dairy free option and I had 2 choices. This was a novelty for me because there’s usually just one dairy free option! I had dairy free cookie dough with marshmallow topping and it was really delicious. My friend had chocolate chip mint and she said how tasty hers was. The only criticism would be is the ridiculously long line every evening! We ordered somewhat early in the evening (around 8:30pm) and the line wasn’t too bad. But sometimes the line is as long as the miniature golf course on the next block!

Came all the way from England just to try a sweet sunrise and it was excellent. If you haven't been there yet Why Not!

it will be a hassle to even get in there! Hassels ice cream is definitely packed for reason though. I have been going since I was a kid, my family and i would play mini golf then get ice cream, i would get cotton candy. Lets just say nothing has changed. Its the same tasty ice cream they had back then just with even more delicious flavors, and sundaes!! The area is too cute, and the people are very friendly. It is most definitely a place for families and a cute date night! Alittle pricey but honestly you get your moneys worth with the sizing!

Lots of ice cream flavors to choose from. Very generous scoop. The flavors I picked were cherry vanilla and pistachio. The cherry vanilla is very creamy and has bits of cherry . The cherry flavor was there.(I was told that black cherry was even better). The pistachio has lots of the nuts in it. Very creamy and rich ice cream worth checking out in Wildwood, NJ

The dairy free option are the worst i have ever had! The vanilla is gummy and the berry was overly sweet (it seems thenly just mixed in jam in already sweet vanilla ice cream). Also there was a label for dairy free chocolate peanut butter but the guy behind the counter said they had not had in a very long time (then why nobody removed the label then?). Bathroom was very clean on a bright side.

Love love love Hassles Ice Cream. they have my favorite version of cherry vanilla ice cream from Richmans. I love their waffles and ice cream. They make the waffles fresh and cover them with powdered sugar. There’s nothing better than a hot waffle and delicious ice cream together. I highly recommend that you try Hassel’s ice cream. It’s one of our favorite places at the shore to visit.

Cute little ice cream parlor right off the boardwalk. Tons of different flavors of ice cream and all at reasonable prices. The waffles were fantastic and they have homemade whipped cream which is always a plus. They also have mini golf in the back and bike rentals.

Best ice cream on the island. I've tried others but I keep coming back here. If you haven't been there, you should go.

THE is cream shop to visit. Quick stop off the boardwalk. The line is long, moves quick but worth the wait. Stop at the ATM on site to get cash if needed and check out the menu. Over two dozen Richmond ice cream flavors. Fresh warm waffles, half or whole, fresh cones. Only a few tables inside but ample outdoor seating available. I'd suggest walking as parking can be difficult to find.

My family comes here year after year to enjoy delicious ice cream and tradition. The menu never changes, and there is no need for it to. They are well known for their ice cream, waffles and ice cream, as well as sundaes. The portions are extremely big. Now coming as an adult, I still order off the kids menu, due to the large portion size. The kids menu is for one to two adults to split. The adult menu is more for two to three people to split. Same for the waffles. A half of waffle is for one to three people. The full waffle is best for two to four people. This also makes it a family friendly restaurant because not everyone needs their own ice cream to fill that sweet tooth craving. The lines can be very long, but the workers move as fast as they can to get everyone served as quickly as possible. There are tables outside and inside to eat with groups. There is also miniature golf in the back of the ice cream parlor for a chance to win free ice cream. It is a can't miss Wildwood treat! *It's a CASH ONLY ice cream parlor*

A little over $15 for three smalls. Decent price, but not very good ice cream. They have a variety of flavors and waffles and sundaes, but as for the taste of the ice cream itself, Turkey Hill is 1000x better. They're open late (midnight). Great place for drunks coming off the boardwalk!

Great ice cream store just off the boardwalk. I would say some flavors are better than others though. The Coconut Castaway was excellent (5 stars). The Rum Raisin was good but not the best I've had. Portions are generous though and I find the kiddie size is more than enough.

Hands down the best ice cream in wildwood. The line, no matter what time of year is out the door but we'll worth the wait. We got chocolate peanut butter and moose tracks and it was so creamy, out of this world. They have limited seating but most people just hang around outside on the boardwalk.

Been a customer for years and is part of our family tradition! It's a necessity for my kids anytime we are down here. We've had everything from the ice cream to milkshakes and even waffle sundaes and never had a bad experience. It's always busy but totally worth the wait! Safe to say this place is a must!!

My family and I have a four year weekend in Wildwood every year and every single night we go to Hassles. They have over 40 flavors and the portions are HUGE! Additionally, you can get a cup of water if you're thirsty for FREE. We've been going to Hassles for almost two decades now. Every time has been great!

Such a special Wildwood Spot for generations! $10 parking lot with immediate boardwalk access and ramp. Social distancing practiced and masks required. Three ordering windows that allow for good distancing when ordering. The line may look long but it goes super fast! Their eco friendly straws are ever impressive (sometimes hard to sip the milkshakes through them but spoons can be provided ). IF YOU LIKE REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS!!! I've said it before and now again, this is a must visit for a Wildwood Vaca!

This ice cream pallor serves one of the most extensive flavor selections of Richman's mill ice cream. They offer many special forms (sundaes, banana splits, waffles, and various cones). Hassles is located at the foot of North Wildwood boardwalk between 20th & 21st Avenues 'where they offer miniature golf , bicycle rental and long term paid parking also. Note that operation is on seasonal basis only (Memorial Day to just over Labor Day).

This place is great. Tons of choices and it is always fantastic. Tried other places and always come back to this one.

Had an excellent experience here. Arrived before opening and was able to park in their lot for only $5. Played a round of mini golf while waiting which passed the time well. They have some great ice cream flavors. I ended up with a kiddie cup of mocha brownie and another coffee flavor, boyfriend enjoyed his waffle sundae. Go during the week early to avoid the crazy lines

This review is solely for Hassel's morning bike rentals--$7.00 per person per hour. Their bike selection ranges from mountain style bikes, to old school colorful bikes with cute little baskets. You can easily ride up and down the boardwalk within that time frame (and ill admit I'm not an athletic young lad like I once was) but if you have small kiddos or are more unathletic than myself, you should probably purchase two hours.

So I was expecting more of Hassles...this was our first visit, upon pulling into the parking lot there is a sign that reads wait for parking attendant, after a few minutes no one came over so we moved the sign to park as the street was full. Hassles only had one person, so there was a short wait. They had some interesting combinations, I had the peaches and cream deluxe sundae but found it lacking. The peach ice cream had a distinctive artificial peach flavor and the peach slices were clearly out of a can. With peaches in season I thought this should have been updated, my three friends agreed it was just ok. I was expecting something to stand out, but nothing special here. Disappointing...

There are a lot of Ice-cream options on the Boardwalk but there is only one Hassles! If you are an ice cream snob, there is no other choice. The hand dipped cones, sundaes & banana splits are huge & delicious! What I love the most are the homemade waffles & ice cream! My suggestion: the 1/2 waffle w/ your favorite flavor, hot fudge, banana wheels & real whipped cream!! Don't be afraid of the line out the door. They are fully staffed & get to you quickly, so stick it out, it's worth it!!!!

We had a really nice experience here tonight, ice creams sundaes were great and free service was outstanding. My daughter lost some of her whipped cream and an employee was kind enough to bring her out a cup of more. Thanks so much, will definitely be back!

Did you know that this amazing ice cream place also rents bikes? We decided to rent bikes for the week since the shared ride scene is not really happening at the shore, and we had such a great time. The rate was reasonable and the bikes were awesome! They had three gears, a basket, and tires that can't go flat! It also came with a lock. They also had dollar lights in the front and back. They were in great shape. But more important than the prices and the product, was the customer service! The people here were beyond friendly and so accommodating. Just all around nice people. These types of businesses deserve good customers during this pandemic! We come down once a year and a weekly bike rental from Hassles will be our new yearly ritual!

Our go-to spot for ice cream. We also love their golf course. I'm mainly reviewing this place so I can share their menu- its mind boggling that it's nowhere online. It's not horribly expensive, it's similar to other spots. Their homemade waffle sandwiches are fantastic.

Love this place the ice cream is always pretty good. Open late during the summer, definitely a staple in the community. Have to wear masks and you have to order thru the windows. Overall great, wasn't too obsessed with my flavor (birthday cake) but I'm pretty sure you can ask for a sample.

This place is wonderful. The ice cream store has a ton of flavors and toppings but my favorite is their waffles with ice cream. So so good. It's clean inside with friendly service and complementary ice water. Attached is a cute little mini golf that is very well kept and fun for little kids. They also have bike rentals. We rent from here multiple times during the summer and the staff is just so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend any one of the 3 services hassles offers!

The second best ice cream I've ever had! (The best is Iceberg in Lavalette, NJ- go immediately if you haven't been). Ahem. Back to Hassles. The first night my friend and I went it was super crowded, but I was helped almost immediately because I knew what I want (they let me cut in front of all those ice cream-indecisive people!). I first tried 2 samples, Peanut Butter Pie and the Mint Chocolate Chip. The sample sizes are ON POINT! A full, regular-sized spoonful of deliciousness. The mint was tasty, but I'm a fiend for PB, so that always wins out... The kiddie size is the "smallest" - and by small, I mean 2 heaping, large scoops. The best part (aside from the taste) is the price. $2.90!!! Kohr's charged me $5.75 for a small, tasteless PB soft serve (avoid Kohr's at all costs!!). The Peanut Butter Pie is great!! Lots of PB flavor, large Reece's Pieces cup bites, and some sort of pie crust pieces(??).. It was delish and a kiddie cup was more than enough. On our last night in Wildwood, I tried the S'mores and Pistachio. Both were sooo good. S'notes especially had just the right mix of chocolate and marshmallow yumminess! I asked for a regular size cup (3ish scoops) and they accommodated my request for 2 separate cups (1 with PB pie and S'mores, the second with just Pistachio).. some flavors just can NOT co-mingle, you know?! Service is super friendly and quick (and again, the sample sizes are a decent amount). Can't wait to come back to Wildwood for the beach.. and ice cream!! No pictures because the ice cream was that good.

Place is awesome. Good ice cream. Good options. Fresh waffles. You apparently can do mini golf or rent bikes too. Line moves.

Dear fellow readers, my gal pals and I decided to try hassles for a nice afternoon treat. This was the best milkshake I've ever had. And to top it off they offer delectable and cold water to quench your thirst. It was definitely a great overall experience and very family friendly.

Best ice cream spot on the island. Easy location. Indoor and outdoor seating. Huge portions, delicious waffles, easy kids choices, etc. fair prices. Well worth it every trip. Oh, and the ice cream is delicious!

The ice cream is good but staff there are just plain rude. When I walk by they were all just relaxing sitting on there Bikes staring at people come in . I passed a staff member in boardwalk he didn't stay excuse me .I walk in to the ice cream parlor and there tons of choices to choose from . There prices are expensive. The reasoning being is because they give u a huge scoop vs other ice cream parlor give you little scooops

Not a single mask in the entire place. Seriously, not one. Employees touching their face then scooping ice cream, customers literally coughing then touching the counter. my entire family felt so unsafe here, total free for all and totally unacceptable.

I LOVE HASSLES! The ice cream there is very rich and delicious. I usually get a basic chocolate milkshake but the handmade ice cream makes it the best chocolate milkshake I've ever had. I do sometimes splurge and get a waffle which is worth the price. Everything they serve is delicious. And I of course have not had all of the flavors because there are so many! The staff are very pleasant. They often converse with you about your choice. I haven't even gotten started about the 18 hole minigolf. I enjoy the golf very much and I especially love the ball colors. My family and I come to Hassles every time we are in the Jersey Shore. Hassles will always be my favorite Ice Cream place. I even bought one of their sweatshirts to prove it.

Great experience renting bikes here! While riding I had lost my license and debit card. I realized as I was returning the bike and they allowed me to borrow the bike for extra time to back track and look around for my lost cards. Thank you for being so kind!!

Always a great spot to finish the night in Wildwood NJ!!! Miniature golf course is a fun time many memories at this great establishment.

Ordered the the small Death by Chocolate Sundae with Oreos, whipped cream and a cherry. It was only $5.50 for actually a pretty large portion which was great as well as the staff was very kind being family owned and run. Bike Rental prices were good too being cheaper than most places, would definitely rent next year on my trip next summer! What stood out the most was the miniature gold course that was unlike any other with a classic set up that mirrored most vintage courses. It was only $7.00 per person to golf. Anyone visiting Wildwood must stop here and take advantage of Hassles as it is a big attraction in North Wildwood!!

I went there with my friends and didn't have to much money I got a delicious small icecream cone for $3:00 definitely worth it

The ice cream is good, staff is great. The downfall is that they only take cash. I prefer the convienance of plastic, but to each his own. The family is making this destination an annual tradition, I just hope they would enter the 21st century.

There are a ton of ice cream places on the island, but this one really stands out. The reason it stands out...the WAFFLES!!! You can smell the waffles cooking from outside. The sudaes are delicous and have names like the Brown Derby and the Dune Buggy, but the waffle sandwiches are sublime. Truth be told they don't make their own ice cream like some of the other places boust about, but being homemade doesn't really seem to add anything and Hassles isn't as touristy. Service is friendly and quick and they always have free ice cold water. Quick tip: You can park in their lot for free if you are going to the ice cream place or the golf course.

Hassles is on more of the expensive side but the icecream is amazing. Me and my mom each got a large chocolate sundae and they were like 3 scoops. My mom could barley finish it. They have a very good selection of ice creams. If your going to wildwood this place is a must to go to.

Its probably closer to three and a half stars, but I like rounding up! (And I know I can be a bit of an ice cream snob.) It smells like delicious waffles when you walk in. I had a waffle ice cream sandwich with "cowbell" ice cream in between two Belgian waffles. Neither were all that special, but together they were pretty good. The price was good for the quantity -definitely shareable for two. I only ate the ice cream, but my friends said they enjoyed the mini golf, particularly the moving obstacles. There is seating inside and outside, great space to hang out for a bit. Cash only, ATM outside.

This place is up the street from my house, and they have everything! It's a fun mini-golf course, a bike rental place, a parking lot, and an ice cream parlor. They're as reasonably priced as you can get on the boardwalk, and the staff is friendly and talented, it's a family-run business and they hire the same workers every year. I've been coming here for years and I have never had a negative experience.

My family's go to spot for mini golf every year in wildwood. Staff members are very nice and welcoming. Mini golf course is very cute, kid and family friendly. On the last hole if you make a hole in one you get free ice cream. Right next door they have a ice cream parlor. Ice cream is very good, I recommend the waffles & ice cream with cookies and cream. Line tends to get very long for the ice cream parlor, but tends to move quick.

Fun $6 mini golf and delicious ice cream sundaes! We had so much fun! The ice cream really was outstanding.

This is such a cute little place. There were plenty of staff both inside and outside. They made sure every table was clean as soon as someone got up. The ice cream was really good. Their portions are huge and prices are great. Only complaint would be the cardboard straws. They taste weird and are awkward. I wouldn't get a milkshake again for that reason. Or just bring your own plastic straw.

The ice cream they serve from Richmond's is below average. The ice cream was bland tasting. Save your money, and get a Kohr Bros on the boardwalk. Yuck!
