Good burgers and service like the other two we have been to in McKinney and Richardson. Similar layout and menu. Get the little hat with sweet potato fries. Just enough. And try their offerings of three different sauces. Sun afternoon lunch here there were a lot of families with small children enjoying themselves.

Did a Daddy, Mommy, Daughter date nite and when it came to food our girl asked to come here due to the playground. We agreed and were not sure what to expect. Overall the food was pretty good. I got the Southwest burger and my wife got the Bacon Royal. They were delicious and the fries and tots were good too. I was a bit shocked at the price for three meals here. My wife and my burgers had two patties but I was still a bit sticker shocked. That being said the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. They also offer wine and beer at a very reasonable cost. The playground was very nice and my girl had a blast playing on it. The ground was squishy and felt bouncy. Overall great times were had and the staff was super nice as the ketchup was out and he replaced it immediately.

Great burgers and fries and a play place for kids , we will definitely come back.

Good food just really skimpy on the portions

We were meeting relatives and they chose this place as it is very kid friendly. They do have a variety of breakfast option as well. The okay area is great for the kids and they patio seating has a full view of the okay area so making it easy to keep an eye on the kids while catching up with old friends.

The food was good. Great drive thru service. Food was hot and toasty. A little pricy but overall good

First time ordering on the app and the order was correct. We don't normally visit the store on Exchange but they had EVERYTHING correct, and the GF burger has its own bag.

We had Hat Creek for the first time and it was delicious! I got a little hat burger on a pretzel bun with regular french fries. The food didn't take long to come out, it was cooked perfectly, and tasted so good! Josie took our order: she was super kind, helpful, and patient as we navigated the menu. She made conversation and made us feel super welcomed. We will definitely be visiting this little gem again soon!

Dined for the first time at HC, hoping to find a great burger in the area. Sadly I was disappointed with the burger and fries. Our burgers were super dry, lacked flavor and were pretty small for the cost. The loaded fries had cheese, some jalapeños and bacon. The cheese wasn't melted enough I'd come spots and over melted (hard) on other spots. We enjoyed a cup of their chili, that was the best part of the meal. Service was better than most places, all in all....5/10.

Love, love, love Hat Creek's turkey burger. Actually, that's all I ever have eaten here. I like the turkey burger because it's always well seasoned and not dry. I usually order mine with pepper jack cheese. Also, their tater tots are nice and crispy. Overall the food is good and tasty.

This is the worst Hat Creek I've ever been to, sat at the drive thru speaker for 5 min and zero response. Keep in mind nobody is line and it is not busy inside. I drive through to the window to see if the speaker is broke and the lady says rudely, "I said something" (????) If you said something why didn't you say it again. Especially for that whole duration. Zero customer service, if I sat there five minutes and heard nothing I highly doubt she said anything. Nothing to top off bad customer service like even worse food, my toddler would choke on these rock nuggets if I gave these to him. Won't be back!

Listen, for burgers and tater tots/fries and a shake this place is great. My kids love it, and I as a person who leans healthier loves it. Will be back over and over.

Customer service was just okay for me. One thing that I didn't like was that he took my card, slid, processed it, and then walked off without handing it back. I bought the veggie burger combo with tater tots and the frozen lemonade. Sad to say, the only thing that I liked was the frozen lemonade. Especially when I spent $17+ on this. Being that I am vegetarian, I have had plenty variety of veggie burgers and this has to be the worst. The tater tots were fine. They're tots! I hate to waste money on food but I just could not eat this.

Terrible food. Over priced. McDonald's is better quality than this garbage lol. The kids had fun playing in the playground BUT the price and food is better at McDonald's lol won't be returning

Amazing breakfast! Honestly the breakfast tacos are AMAZING, and incredibly priced at $2.99/taco. You choose corn or flour tortilla, it comes with eggs & then you add two fresh ingredients. They make them on the spot, made fresh! They ate bigger than street tacos, super filling & if you order it on a corn tortilla, it includes two tortillas so you can divide it up to make two tacos. My favorite toppings are bacon, spinach, potatoes & avocado, but they're all good! Okay, now to their pancakes- DELICIOUS! One order includes two giant pancakes + butter & syrup. They pancakes are fluffy & sweet. I enjoy them as much as my kids. They also have coffee & breakfast bowls too.

Waited 9 minutes at order menu and wasn't ever acknowledged at all. I left without ordering. Never again.

Service is good but a bit confusing. Ambiance is great! Specially if you have kids Food is good but not phenomenal. Overall a good place to go. I will be back here again with my son and wife

Bought drive through. I had a Turkey burger with cheese combo. I really liked the meat of the Turkey burger and the seasoned fries. A little more salt then I need, but it's still good. Will go back

Stopped by for breakfast on a weekday- but (for maybe the 1st time in my life) was *too early! - they don't open until 8am! So I went shopping at HEB next door & returned. I drove thru, ordered 2 breakfast tacos & coffee. The tacos were a good size (& juicy, beware) so one was enough & enjoyed the 2nd the next day. Glad 4 that because they're not cheap. The coffee s/be better. But maybe it's because I had just had a Starbucks in my go cup, it went cold. After tasting (3x) Hat Creek's warm coffee, I threw it out & went back to my cold Starbucks. Next time I'll get food at Hat Creek & make a second stop for coffee at Starbucks next door.

They have a selection of cheese and different sandwiches and salads. Big burgers! And if you don't want the bun, they do that too! And you can have sweet potato fries oh my!! I had a great time with their menu lol. My daughters and I cut the sandwiches and shared to try a bit of different ones. All good but so big if I were just to order for myself the little hat is probably good enough. Love pepper-jack cheese, you had me there. Now, to go back and try the breakfast menu lol

Hands down the most expensive fast food burger joint in Dallas. Two basic burger meals are gonna cost you $30. Pick another spot.

Definitely an upgrade from popular fast food burger restaurants. The burgers, both beef and turkey are pretty good. We live their sweet tea and the ice is perfect for filling your cup to splash tea over. Some ice melts super quickly and waters it down, but this ice is similar to the nugget ice! (For those who are ice connoisseurs). Service is friendly and restaurant is generally clean. We have been there on busier days where the mess was uncontrollable due to lack of staff and customers out the door. But overall we enjoy coming here!

We used to come here all the time, but we haven't been in the last few months and finally we came back but were disappointed. They did something different with their burgers and it was not for the better. I expected to get this delicious tasting food but instead regretted going. Maybe they'll change their food back soon.

Worst burger Ive had in a long time!!!! Just absolutly nothing worked here period! Fries- overcooked and too salty Double meat cheeseburger- Prepared with Zero love! A whole lettuce leaf and two super thick slices of tomato! Blob of unmelted cheese. Chocolate shake sub par- tasted like cheap melted ice cream. I tried the location in Frisco after they first opened up in this area a couple of years ago. It was a less than exciting experience but, I always try to give the benefit of the dout and let bugs get worked out etc. This location has been open at least a year. I don't know how they will survive if this food is indicative!!!

Three stars because this place is typically hit or miss. Today I went for breakfast for the first time and the tortillas were stale or maybe just not cooked properly. They also forgot to include the sauce I asked for. Secondly, I typically get the paleo bowl and they made the bowl much smaller than it used to be. So much so, it's difficult to even eat by getting a bite underneath the burger. Lastly, I can count on more than one hand when my order gets fudged. One time, it was a huge order with several mistakes and forgotten items (over $50) and when I called to share what happened and they said they would refund, I never got the refund. When this place first opened, it was great, but it's gone downhill and I think I'm done!

Pros: good service, pretty good burgers (tasted similar to Whataburger to me) Cons: didn't love the seasoning on the fries, and the fried pickles were pretty average, shake wasn't great (I got the Nutella bacon, but the bacon was just a small piece sitting on top and none mixed in) I ordered takeout and was confused with all the weird sauce names (hat sauce, happy sauce, etc) and didn't end up really liking any of them and I thought I would, so that was a little sad, but not their fault. Would try another burger from there, but probably no sides.

This location used to be our favorite. We are huge fans of Hat Creek (as indicated by our many Hat Creek reviews). But this location has run down which is so sad! The food is excellent and the counter service was good, but unfortunately it's just not as clean as it used to be. They were so busy on Sunday, no one was sanitizing or even cleaning the table after each rotation. The playground was very very very dirty and needed a power wash, and they took out their outdoor sink! I don't know what issues led to this decision, but the outdoor sink washing area to wash hands after eating outside and after playing in the playground is what set hat creek apart for us from all the other burger/playground venues. I hope management tends to these details... because there are several other locations that we will go to instead until they come back up to Hat Creek standards.

Great service, ordering on the app was vey user friendly. Great burger, it's very easy to pick up and go considering how busy it gets with all the families in store.

Ugh! This is one to many times eating here. Ugh. WTF was I thinking. It's dirty, actually, it's pretty filthy. The tables are loaded with left overs from previous patrons. Not trays, but every table was loaded with a sticky mess. The chairs are coated in sticky pickle juice and sauce. Everything on the table tops, chairs, and the floor is a gummy, sticky mess. The area were the sauce is located is disgusting. There were no lids for the drinks, this included large and small. No containers for ketchup. Only a sticky mess in the condiments area. Even the packets of Mayo and mustard were sticky. The longer I waited for staff to locate items, the more grossed out I got. Not one staff member was wearing a mask. (I can over look this). One staff member was sneezing into his hands. Totally gross. He swiped his nose and cleaned his hands on his pants. He returned to cooking. Ugh. This place is nasty. I do not recommend anyone eating here. (I dumped my food in the self clean-up area they offered). The food served on my tray was even dirty. The Two garbage bins for clean up as you leave were disgusting. I should have left the tray and food for staff pick-up to dispose of. Again, wtf was I thinking. Ugh. UGH!

I enjoyed my burger and fries. My dad thought they were on the smaller side even though he had a double but he finished every bite. The playground is a bonus for parents so they can let their trophies runs around in the wild without worrying about them getting away.

Finally stopped in to have a bite to eat. I've seen this place and thought with this location, it had better be good. The way this place is setup, you walk in and you're pretty much in line. After only a minute or so, I am greeted by a kind young man with a great attitude that takes my order. I order my food and have a seat, I was in the mood for a cob salad and was delighted to see something light on the menu. I sat down and my food was ready in a matter of minutes. Everyone here was friendly, the place was clean, and the salad was delicious. I've since been back and had burgers with the family. Everyone agreed this place is awesome and a great addition to Allen. The burgers are cooked well, the place is clean, the staff is friendly and the location is easy to get to. They are a bit pricey compared to other "similar" burger places, but not to the point that I won't be back. I wouldn't say the burger stands out to the point that I will seek this place on a burger craving, but if I'm in the area and want a burger, this place will do in a pinch.

Hay Creek has good burgers for a fast food place but I feel like they are overpriced for what they are. There are as good or better places for less money.

One of the best burgers in a long time. Simply delicious. So good I came here to write this review and I don't really care for Yelp anymore.... I had the sombrero with a craft beer. 20 min later I'm planning my next visit!

My family and I really like coming here after church on a Sunday for lunch. It's at a great location in Allen for all of those who live nearby because there's not much restaurants along that side of Exchange. It's just a no frills, family friendly burger place - which reminds me a bit of Shake Shack. They just have really good and fresh hamburgers and they have an awesome playground for the kids. We will usually get the small hats with a side of tater tots or sweet potato fries. It's filling and it's great being able to just sit and eat while you watch the kids play, but it doesn't get too hot in the early afternoon and the eating section is covered. The playground part is not, so be mindful of having your kids take a break. You get to refill your drinks as needed and there's high chairs and booster seats available. My favorite part is that there's purse hooks on the side of the bench tables and there's a sink outside for handwashing. And also the bench seats can be broken up into a one seater or 2 seater so that it's actually easy to get in and out of. This is definitely one of my go to places for food and kid fun.

Oh yes! The pictures you are reviewing here on Yelp are TRUE!! They did not hold back while building this location! It is a beautiful A-framed building laid out perfectly for ordering food, getting your drinks and condiments. It really is fun. There are about a dozen four top tables inside. The majority of the seating, however, is outside picnic style (enclosed during the winter) and then extended towards the street front is a playground. We were there at lunchtime and it looked like a lot of parents were enjoying the playground area. Ordering and getting your food is traditional. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Onions & Swiss ($6.00), the Signature Burger ($9.00), and a side order of fries ($2.00). Lunch for two $18.00. We enjoyed our lunch! The food came out hot, in generous portions, and their unique sauces gave everything a different twist -- yummy for adding to a sandwich or dipping french fries. We watched all the lunches roll out. Everything looked delicious!! Definitely coming back to try the tater tots, the milkshakes, and some of the other sandwiches/ salads. We will be back :)

It is freezing in the restaurant and it is winter. They have the air conditioning on full blast and I mentioned it and nobody did anything about it. People were wearing their jackets inside and people who walked outside said it was warmer outside. I wish employees and managers would think about people coming to the restaurant and listen to what they say.

Love this place! Good burger that always tastes fresh! The drive thru system is great because I can clearly hear them and they ask enough questions to make sure your order is accurate. Very friendly staff. But the burger is excellent!

Wow on the salt. A bit much. A little on the small portion side for an American. Chicken sandwich was missing avocado. Manager gave us. Nice guy Nice Plaxe. If you want rewards make sure you ask for it before paying. Got née fries asked for no salt but still was a little still on the sails side still. Do most like this much salt ? .

Whew, it was a big burger! We shared the Cowboy Burger. Loved the layers of flavor highlighted by delicious bbq sauce. They are already made a variety of sauces to dip fries. We, of course, tried them all. The two favs were Fry Sauce and the Hat Sauce. Food was ready pretty quick. Service was polite and quick as well. More stores are opening soon, we may have to do the store opening tour.

Okay... now I understand the hype! I came here on a Tuesday for half price burger night. I ordered the Traditional Burger with fries and an Oreo milkshake. The portions are very generous, the taste is amazing and everything was good quality. I will definitely be back!

So if you aren't a parent or with children, or tolerant of children, this may not be the best spot for you. If you are looking for a step up from McDonalds with the bonus benefit of good craft beer on tap, this may be your haven. The fries are delicious. The burgers are ok. They are pressed patties like you get at Costco, which taste good. But all the good flavor options only come in double burger varieties which is way to big for someone like me. I wasted half my burger. And the menu is overpriced. The building is pretty with attractive wood. And did I mention the beer? Plus TV sets to watch the game instead of your children running amok. Which is what I witnessed tonight. Dad watching screens, drinking beer, just wanting a few minutes of peace. Can't blame him. Kids are hard work. But while he was ignoring his children in the play structure one of them happily disrobed and entertained the outdoor dining audience for 10 minutes. Finally I heard the dad's voice behind me utter a low, "oh, shit." Then he embarrassedly ran after the delighted imp and attempted to re-cloth him. I hope your visit is as eventful as ours.

Great fast food burger! You have to order your fries and drink separately. No combos offered here. The cashier was helpful. If you don't have kids I'd avoid going during high traffic times or get your food to go. Big playground outside for the kiddos to play with lots of picnic tables to sit on in a covered area but only a few tables inside.

Tried ordering food from here. Got through whole online order to be denied to order. Tried calling to order and recording said check online for hours. Its 806pm and they close at 930pm.

Not a fan...well, it was okay. Not worth the money... The taste reminded me of the School cafeteria burgers in the 90s, the patty tasted as if it were baked after being frozen, like I recall from high school. The bread and other condiments were really fresh but the patty did it for me. I wish them well. I will read other reviews and may consider trying another sandwich of theirs in the future. I'm open.

I had Hat Creek last summer for the first time. I don't remember which burger I ordered. But I don't remember it being that great. I went again a couple of days ago. This time I ordered The Classic. It was outstanding. Their seasoned fries are some of the best I've ever had. I can't wait to order it again.

I went to grab some breakfast, excited because online their bowl looked delicious. Website says breakfast is served 7-10. It failed to mention the stores don't open until 8. Being across the street from the high school I could see it getting tons of breakfast business from 7-8! I went at 745 and was tempted to wait but really needed to get to work.
