Very friendly and clean. The play area is a decent size with extra room for the kids to run around and its well lit up. While eating outside they added some plexiglass (weather) which is a bonus. T.V is a nice addition too! No complaints and definitely going to have more play dates there soon!

I love going to Hat Creek! But there's a problem that needs attention: the door separating the patio from the dining room. I took my family, and we were all disturbed by the constant noise of the door slamming open and shut, making it impossible to eat there in peace. Additionally, one of the doors closes very quickly, which is dangerous for children. I've read other reviews mentioning the same issue. What are you waiting for to fix it? I hope someone in management can address this.

Great place to eat! Amazing to be able to eat all gluten free sides! And the GF fried chicken nuggets are amazing! Who else has these options?! The service and staff was great! The only thing I wish yall would consider is a covered playground. The Texas sun makes it too hot to the touch to play more much of the day. Other than that, its wonderful!

A spur of he moment decision took us to the Hat Creek Burger Company this week. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burgers, fries, prices, and most of all the service. The Bug Hat Burger is very good. Not too big, not too little and has all the basics. The fires are too notch, too. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant was not too busy on a Wednesday early afternoon around lunch time. Try it out…you won’t regret it.

The food here is delicious! One of the best burgers around and love the sweet potato fries! I have a special order on my burger and they always get it right. The girl at the drive thru is always really nice! Would highly recommend!

Food: Lots of great options for kids and adults. Typical burger options as well as sweet potato fries. I heard the burgers were great and the Berry Salad was delicious. Cleanliness: I don't know how they keep it so clean with so many kids, but this place was really clean. They were constantly cleaning. Staff: They were amazing. Always looking out for the kids and parents. Watching over the playground. Trying to deliver food if you couldn't get to it. They over deliver. Speed of Service: It took a little while to order because they only had 1 cashier when I was there but there were so many people at tables that it worked out that tables opened up by the time I ordered. The food was quickly made. Very prompt and was presented well. Overall: Very good first impression. They had food for everyone, the kids had fun, and they left exhausted. A+ experience.

I'm sorry the burger was basic and the fries were even worse. They were very soggy and literally just had lawrys seasoned salt on them. If that's what you like, then cool. I feel like I wasted my money. 😓

I frequently order from Hat Creek Burger in Fulshear, and my family and I love the quality of the food. The burgers are always delicious, the tots perfectly crispy, and the ingredients fresh. The staff is also incredibly friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Tonight, I placed an order for delivery through GrubHub via Yelp. While tracking the delivery, I noticed that it suddenly showed as "delivered" 20 minutes before the actual ETA. I checked outside but didn't find my meal. I called Hat Creek, and the manager promptly checked the orders, confirming that GrubHub had picked it up. Without hesitation, the manager offered to remake my entire order at no extra cost, even though the restaurant was closing in just 20 minutes. The manager truly saved the day! A huge thank you to Hat Creek Burger in Fulshear for their excellent customer service and commitment to making things right.

1,000+ stars for the staff!! They're all the nicest, hard working people I've seen!! The restaurant is clean, and they're always making sure of it! Burger was good, (we added cheese to our burgers), reminds me of Freddie's Frozen Custards & Steakburgers. We had a few of the Loaded Fries. We just didn't think they were very good. They were dry, with dried up, clumpy cheese, and hard bacon chunks. It's a pretty cool place, for adults and children! Adults can hang out, while the kids play in the 'playground', between times of running back for another fry or a drink! We'll definitely be returning, as does some of our family.

There are two types of families in this area: Hat Creek families and Texas Borders families. Hat Creek Families: eat at Hat Creek, pay $60+ for a family of four to eat tiny burgers and fries, like to stand around waiting their turn for drinks, silverware and condiments, and they like to shuffle to and fro to get out the patio door and to their table. They also stand on the sidelines of the squishy grounded, pristine playground, under the string lights and intervene when the playing gets too rough. Texas Borders Families: eat at Texas Borders, pay $60 for a full menu of food WITH an appetizer and a frozen drink, control the juke box and play real music, and stay comfortably in their booths while food is brought to them. They also stay engaged in their adult conversations, as their kids play on the aging playground with a regular turf floor, and let the kids hash out their arguments. There's nothing wrong with either family; Just different values in a dining experience. I have given Hat Creek several tries. Each time, it has been absolute chaos. The line to order is long and slow, the double burger equates to a Whataburger Jr. Burger, and I DREAD having to get a refill on drinks or condiments, because I'll have to bob and weave the whole way there, and then wait my turn behind yet another line. The recent add of the queso and the cobb salad, when we came tonight for my son's football team gathering, made the menu better. Still, as a family of 4, we still spent over $65. That's absurd. I'll stick to TX Borders. PS- the only upside of Hat Creek is that we can leave and head across the parking lot to Bahama Bucks.

Great spot for an easy dinner with young kids. They can play on the playground and the food is reasonably priced.

I was excited to take my kids to try this place since it had a playground but Food not great, service okay, very dirty. Garbage cans overflowing. Will not return.

Terrible burger joint! After I waited for over 20 min I was given the wrong order!! Of course I didn't notice until I got home.

Living in cross creek, hat creek (HC) is in our back yard. HC had some bomb a** burgers and was a great option for a take home burger that had good flavor and was consistently tasty.... it has probably been 3-4 months since last coming here, what was a 7-8/10 burger place is now 2/10. They changed their bread/bun and it reminds me of a thick stale wonder bun, the meat was slightly off, and my (what used to be) "sombrero" burger had a square piece of cheese that was unmelted like I'd find on a McDonald's 1/4 pounder. 1. I was told that they use the same baker but have changed the bread, but it was years ago... it hasn't been years. The bread use to be slightly sweet. Thinner, and was always warm....and slightly greasy (not anymore... Thick and Stale. 2. The cheese on the hamburgers were always well melted and it made for a very cohesive burger... today, not so much. Overall, this is very very disappointing, I will not be returning and will no longer rave to neighbors about their burgers. I understand now why I saw other families bringing in Chick-fil-A -- letting their kids use the playground.

Hat Creek is a favorite of ours. The staff is always friendly and the food is great. The loaded tots are always good, especially when the cheese is melted just right. My go to burger is the Sombrero (double burger with pepper jack cheese, jalapeños and grilled onions). The yellow bird sauce on that sandwich is amazing (found out they have it in little packets if you want extra!). Only reason I didn't include a photo in this review is I tried the Sombrero with chicken...wouldn't recommend. The outdoor seating is the way to go. For parents with kids, there is a playground on turf to let the little ones exert some energy. If you're looking for fast-casual dining experience with good food and easy on the wallet, Hat Creek is a great decision.

When I'm craving a gluten free burger, this is where I come! I do wish their fries were a bit more 'done', but other than that I can't complain.

Tasty food and a family fun place to go. This place is a tad on the pricy side or I would give them five stars. Here's why they get four: -Great food and beverages -Fun and friendly team -Outdoor seating -Fun and unique children play area -Beer available on tap I first came here for a drive thru shake on a hot August day. That shake was awesome but was pricy so we didn't come back till November. Since November I have fined here a few more times and have really come to enjoy the treat. The dining area has plenty of tv's so you can watch sports while dining or allegedly watching the kids. The play area looks like a blast but I'm too old to try it out. Rats! The menus feature several kinds of burgers and shakes with options to build your own. I have tried all the burgers and think I like the Sombrero the best. That bad boy has a nasty bight that needs to be paired with a shake or frothy brew.

Hat Creek isn't half bad. Walking in, I never suspected they serve breakfast, but we were a bit late to savor some pancakes. Instead, we were pleasantly surprised that not only do they have craft beer on draft, it's half off on Thursdays! So, the boyfriend tucked into an El Jefe for a mere $3. He wasn't too hungry, so he got the chicken bites with fries. We shared a fried pickle, while I ordered the jalapeño-onion burger with some tots. Willie, our order taker, has a very warm and welcoming personality, by the way. He was very knowledgeable and made me smile. He genuinely wants everyone to have a good time on his watch. The food came out in decent time, and it was all pretty good. Our favorite was definitely the fried pickles. The burger, I'd say, rivals Five Guys and Mighty Fine. If I were a mama, I would be ecstatic to take my kiddos here so they can play while I grub on some fried pickles and a beer. But otherwise, the whole experience doesn't exactly knock my socks off or have me particularly excited to come back. Hat Creek isn't reinventing the wheel, they're just trying to make it their own, and they're doing a nice job.

Absolute best experience! 1st time guests and the manager came out and explained the menu and was sooo friendly! Food was delicious and affordable. Great place to have lunch. Also have beer and wine and a playground for kids! Great place to visit while in Texas!

I can't say enough good things about this place!! I threw my son's 4th birthday here for a "pajama party" with breakfast at 9am. Their breakfast is excellent- my favorite spot for pancakes! Service was even better. Jarvis and Jeff helped us and we're so friendly. It was last November so it was a little chilly. The heaters were already on outside when we got there. They had two large tables reserved for us. Playground was clean. Luckily, no other parties were there during that time so we had the whole place to ourself. We were allowed to bring a cake and some decorations. All we had to pay for was the food. It was an amazing turn out! Special thanks to Jarvis and Jeff for a memorable birthday for my son! My family appreciates the whole Hatcreek team.

This has to be one of the cleanest places i've eaten at! Spotless, and they have hand sanitizer on every table. I read another review about this being "upscale fast food", and I'd agree with that. I don't eat 'fast food' so i assumed it was just fast, but it was actually pretty good. I had sweet potato fries and they were VERY good. Playground looks awesome if i was five years old again. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and outdoors is tented on three sides with a heater. They also have TVs with sports on outside. GM was on site today and i complimented him on the friendly service and cleanliness of his place. I didn't have a shake, but i saw them being hand spun and i may try one next visit!

I rarely post reviews but I have to find a way to express how amazing hat creek is!!! I take my son (2yearsold) here multiple times a week to eat and play. The service is phenomenal, the playground is perfect for kids of all ages, and the food is great! From breakfast tacos, to keto options, to a yummy burger..you can't go wrong. They have a great rewards program, too! The music is always great and there's always a nice breeze due to their location. Can't say enough positive things about this Fulshear gem.

Just your average burger joint that added beer. They have ok ther sandwiches I think but haven't tried them. Nice place to grab some fast food and a beer while you allow kids to burn off some energy on their outdoor playground.

Got here at 615pm and didn't get my order in until 640pm. We've been waiting about an hour from the time we arrived and still haven't even received our food. I've watched countless cars get in drive though come and leave with food before mine was even started. Asked management about it and they gave me a half a** excuse about covid and dinner rush. I asked why there was 4 people working the drive through line and 1 for dine in. The only reason we decided to dine-in is so the kids could play but this establishment chooses to focus on drive through and neglect the starving children customers. ****I've emailed the company as the requested and I never received a response.

We stopped here one day while in Katy visiting exploration park. The burgers were great but the atmosphere was even better. Any place our kids can play while we eat is definitely a plus. As a parent of two toddlers, I love getting a lunch I can actually eat. What's the best part of the playground is astroturf so theirs no need to worry about the kids getting dirty before their meal comes.

Stopped here with our two Kinder age kids for lunch and so they could play. Originally was going to go to TEXAS Borders, but their play structure is very open concept and it was 100 degrees outside. So we decided to try Hat Creek based off the photos. While their play area isn't covered, the structure and slide itself are mostly covered by design (enclosed slide, enclosed playhouse). They had a blast. Their outdoor space with picnic tables was great and the fans even gave it a nice breeze. The restaurant was very clean, the food was good and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back. We had the Original Hat, fries, tots, Hat Dog, fried pickles, and chicken nuggets. The fry sauce is soooo good. Plus a beer for hubby, Rose for me, and strawberry lemonade for the kids (with free refills on the lemonade).

My husband loves, loves this place and would probably rate it higher than I would. We've been here at least six times now, for breakfast at least twice, for lunch most of the time, and only once for dinner. We have never ordered through their drive thru before, so I cannot comment on that experience. Our main draw here is definitely the play area outdoors. It is made of study wood atop nice, cushiony turf grass that is very soft to the touch. The area can be played by kids as young as two (maybe a little younger if they're better with stairs..or just stick to the play kitchen area) and upwards of ten year olds. The space is wide enough to accommodate a lot of kids playing at once and there are lawn chairs for parents to sit and watch the kids up close or they can sit on the open patio at tables to watch and eat for slightly further away. The patio has covers to block out the wind/rain and fans to circulate air. The playscape itself has one slide and four ways to climb up (ramp, stairs, ladder type thing and one other climber for older kids). The inside of the place is small, maybe five or six tables for parties of fourish. It is very warm inside the times we went and have opted to sit outside in wishes of wind or under a fan. You order right when you enter the restaurant, a la cart, and they give you a buzzer. Drinks are off to one side and you are given a plastic cup with their name and logo on it to drink from, for sodas or water, which is much nicer than foam cups. Once your buzzer, goes off, you come to the counter to pick up your food. Sometimes the will bring your food out to you, sometimes they don't. Everything is pretty pricey and the portions are small, but the food is decent. Their breakfast is ok. I would rather come for a lunch of burgers and sweet potato fries. Their chicken tenders have a lot of slices coating it, which is yummy, but too much flavor for my toddler who refused it, calling it spicy. We get him grilled cheese now.

I really wish I would have left a review when we were enjoying Hat Creek because this one is going to be less than stellar. We came here the first time thanksgiving time 2019 (day before) after a busy day of prepping and letting the kids play while we had great food was priceless for us. We got here at least once a month and to be honest, this last visit was the last straw for the fact that we won't return. They were completely out of veggie burgers and then we waited over 20 minutes to get our food, which is much different from how it used to be. We spent a good 20% more than usual as well so not only have the prices increased, but the quality has gone way down. We normally spend $38 and today our total was almost $55. I know the cost of beef has gone up, but goodness, this much of an increase, slow service, out of food and just overall mediocre food was a big leap and not in the right direction. As much as we love letting the kids play, it seems maybe this place is struggling and whether it's the COVID issues and getting the right employees or the increase in costs of running this place, it isn't somewhere we enjoy going anymore sadly.

First time at a Hat Creek Burger Co. That being said I just told the guy at the counter to order be whatever he would have. I received the "Big Hat" with cheese. Which is a double 1/4 pounder. The presentation was done nicely. It was probably to ONLY burger I ever had that was similar to the picture. The veggies on the burger were very fresh. Good crunch and flavor from the lettuce onion pickle tomato. The bun was surprisingly firm. Almost dense. The burger was cooked VERY well done. I mean the inside of the burger was grey. The burger had yellow mustard on it which was rather overpowering. The fries were okay. Seemed a bit under served in terms of quantity but maybe that's just the ration. Overall the burger is okay. It's simple. Nothing really to blow you away. Would I go back. Probably but the $13 price tag for small portions and a heavily overcooked burger.... not very often would I return.

They have the best gluten free selection, even their fried pickles are gluten free! Our daughter cannot have gluten and is very sensitive and she has never been sick after eating here. The one time we ran back in after our order was missing something they gave us some free items for the trouble which was necessary but thoughtful!

Awesome food and service this morning! This was my first time trying their breakfast menu. I'm so glad I did. My daughter and I really enjoyed! Definitely be back!

Love the location of this place. Turkey burger are the best , shakes are really good , this is our 2nd time back. Also the playground they have outside really helps , keeps the kids busy and come back to eat and play. This is a good spot to enjoy with friends and family especially with kids !! We come back next time !!!

I live pretty close by, decided to give it a try to see what all the fuss is about. Found them underwhelming. The serving size of their burger is on the small side. Everything is a la carte. They have beer on tap, but the glass is made of plastic and small in size for a nice beer. Will I come back again? No. Kids size is very small, so if you have hungry campers go somewhere else.

We'd been to a Hat Creek store in San Antonio several times and always thought the food was decent. Tonight, 5 adults and 4 kids ordered over $100.00 worth of burgers, a paelo burger and a chicken sandwich at the Fulshear store. We were told the food would take 30 minutes (and we appreciated the honesty). At least we knew it would be freshly cooked. The food finally came out and was delivered to our table, and this is what irritated me the most. 8 burgers/sandwiches were delivered on a tray along with several bags of fries, but nothing was marked. They only have a few different versions of a hamburger, you'd think they'd have a way to identify what's in each wrapper with some sort of sticker or something. So here we are, opening and handling everyone's food to figure out who's was who's. I don't know, maybe I'm making it more than it was but I think we'd have had a better experience if the wrappers were marked. Food was decent, hamburgers are good, fries were acceptable. The paelo burger, however was a real waste of money. We'll come back if we have a smaller party next time.

Go to Wendy's. You'll get the same burger, but fresher. If you have kids, go to Wendy's then take them to McDonald's to play on their playground.

My kids loves this place! Always friendly service, (thanks Clay). It's nice that they check up on us after we get our food.

We had a group of 10 family members and we placed just 1 large order which took a while to bring out to us and then they had missed a few items. Went in to tell them and then they messed up what we had told them were missing. Having said all that we all really enjoyed the burgers.

I was shocked at how low the reviews were. We only came here because of my son's baseball team party. The burgers weee great. The French fries not so much. However, if you have children, especially ones who need to burn off some energy, this is the place for you. The playground is spacious with a lot of room for the children to run around.

We've been here twice now and I'm so thankful for this place. The food is yummy and my toddler has a place to play. The place seems to be clean on the inside and they have a sink outside for us to wash our hands before and after we play. Food is always a hit or miss at every restaurant but the tater tots here were too crunchy I couldn't even eat them and I love crunchy tots!

They used to have good burgers, but place went downhill pretty quickly. Orders take forever, and the food is not good.

5 freaking stars FOREVER!!! When we heard about Hat Creek coming today Fulshear, we were PUMPED! Hat Creek is like a step above all fast food burgers... there I said it. I'm a born and raised Texan, and I can admit their burgers are BETTER than Whataburger! There are so many things to rave about Hat Creek. The customer service is 11/10! Every employee is so kind and goes above and beyond to ensure your food and experience is A1! I even saw an employee helping wash kids's hands outside by the playground. It's not like regular fast food (where you order, they give you your food, and then it's on to the next)... they have employees who walk around and see if you need anything (napkins, sauces, etc.), they all have smiling faces, and they make it such a HAPPY place to be! The restaurant itself is a great spot for families and kids with lots of outdoor seating and the outdoor playground. YES parents, they even have beer and wine so you can relax while your children let out their energy ;) As far as food goes, everything is delicious! Shakes, burgers, even their salads. I could rave ALLLL day!

We've never been here before and thought we'd give it a try. We were greeted warmly and the cashier was patient with us while we decided what to order. Our burgers were hot, delicious and made exactly to order. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to get sweet potato fries and tater tots as options. The grasshopper shake and dirt worm shakes were a great end to our meal. CDC guidelines are being followed and the staff regularly clean the tables. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Had the Best kid's birthday party here, Saturday morning. The manager, Jeff and his amazing crew, could not have been any more accommodating! They had the tables reserved and made the pancakes and breakfast tacos to order. The kids were in pajamas and played on the playground. It was so easy and most fun! Thank you Hat Creek!!

Went in today for the soft opening. The food was great and the atmosphere is even better. Very family friendly and relaxing place to have a burger. The staff was friendly and engaging with the customers. Burger was great, fried pickles were outstanding! Shake was excellent. The kids had a great time on the playground and it's setup perfectly with the patio dining area so close. For sure making this place apart of our dining out rotation.

Small sized, overpriced burgers. I paid 39 bucks and some change for 2 specialty and 1 regular burgers, 2 shakes, 1 soda & sweet potato fries. There's nothing special about these burgers. There's better places we can get burgers in Katy that's worth it and the price matches the size of the burger... for real! I do commend the team that worked on that busy Sunday rush. They were very efficient. No reason for me to return here.

Very expensive for below average burgers. Went with a buddy last Friday waited 20 minutes in line. Ordered one double hat burger with cheese one double hat burger no cheese, and two small drinks. The bill was 25 dollars. The sauces are ok but don't make the burgers that expensive. The indoor area is hot and they said it is always that way. Went to week before to Freddy's custard on 10 the wee before and the same thing with 2 fries not one was 17 dollars for much better burgers, service and a cooler dining area. We will never go there again.

This place had super burgers and fries - will try breakfast in a couple. Ingredients fresh and sauce could be added later at your leisure or left off completely. Not fond of paying an additional .79 for a slice of cheese. Counted 12 folks that I could see in the back of the house - they were well synced. Lovely touch to have a staff person meandering through the tightly crammed tables sweeping. Noise was deafening so no convo could be had. Kid friendly, all of the kids in Texas, but no to Fido. Only downside IMO is the seating is cramped indoors, a couple of tables inside need to be retired. No EXL human, wheelchair or walker could be accommodated, hope they resolve that issue for those that would not be able to dine here. Planet friendly with recycle bin. Outdoors was clean, sweat was free. Parking ample, will return in a couple for breakfast tacos.

Ok decided on burgers, checked the Yelp reviews and Hat Creek popped up as new and hot! We went through the drive through, ordering was easy, as in the person taking our order was patient and spoke clearly, I chose the Classic burger regular fries and a Peanutbutter cup shake, my wife had the Cowboy burger and sweet potato fries. As we pulled up to pay they had my shake ready, it took several minutes before getting our food this is because the orders are cooked fresh. I will admit the shake was amazing but when we got our orders my regular fry was a bit disappointing, not bad but a bit chewy, borderline stale, my wife's sweet potato fries were crispy and fresh... once we got home I was apprehensive about the burger.... our bill was over 30 dollars for two burger combos. And after my fries I wasnt sure... Let me say this... my burger was in the top 3 that I've ever eaten hence the 5 stars... it was juicy and flavorful also the bun wasnt soggy, the cheese was melty and oozy, the bacon tender but not chewy.... we will definitely be going back. If you are into good burgers give this place a try!

This is one of the best burgers around and on par with Whataburger. The fries are awesome as are the shakes. Another bright spot is the manager, Jeff. He is extremely friendly and helpful, and takes his job seriously. FYI, my wife and I visit this restaurant often. Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and great people.

Great double burger for dad.burger bowl for mom, milk shake for kids. All are happy and satisfied ! Curbside is easy, they even have drive through! Will definitely go back !
