Hattakamamakarn (Sriracha Chili Sauce Gold Medal Brand)

A very humble shop with a very kind and humble owner! He even offered a free taste so you could choose the spiciness level you can handle. I got a small bottle for my stay in Thailand and a big one to bring home. This isn’t the typical “ketchupy” kind you find in stores — it’s a real sauce, and I love this original version! I’ll definitely visit again and buy more bottles when I return. Pro tip: Buy the bigger bottle if you love your food spicy and saucy like me!

Hattakamamakarn – A small shop located across the street from Rachabopit Temple. It’s the only place where you can get Gold Medal Sriracha Sauce, produced for four generations with history dating back to 1932, which makes it the oldest registered brand of any Sriracha sauce. Comes in two strengths – Mild and Strong, and three sizes are available.

Wonderful! The owner is the 4th generation in the family and was kind to spend time answering our questions. We tasted both the original and hotter versions of the award winning sauce which is made once per month following the traditional technique. We bought some and also swapped a bottle with our own hot sauce ‘Yoyo Laos Sauce’ which we produce in Laos. Well worth a visit!

Found thanks to OTR on YouTube! The kindest grandpa selling original sriracha sauce, his mother was the creator of the recently. He says he still males it himself. Small bottle was only 30baht, and i add it to absolutely everything now! Tangy, spicy, so good, better than store bought ones i tried! Please go ahead and visit him when you are in the area!❤️

A handmade family run shop that sells Sriracha sauce. The owner said the store is nearly 100 years old. The sauce itself may be watery, but the taste is pungent, the fermented chilli is spicy and intense. It is indeed different from other Sri Racha sauce.
