Hattakamamakarn (Sriracha Chili Sauce Gold Medal Brand)

This is the original Gold Medal brand Sririacha sauce in Bangkok. The store is still run by the family of the creator of the sauce. Met the owner who was very sweet. The sauce is awesome. It's spicy and sweet as well. You can try both sauces before purchasing. I got the strong (spicier) sauce. Very cheap. They've got 200ml, 300ml and 400ml (might be 500ml) glass bottles. I would've gotten more if the bottles were plastic - easier to travel with. Definitely recommend getting your sriracha sauce from here over another brand label.

The original Sriracha, a must see and to go buy the sauce directly from this family run business. Meet the man behind this sauce but just remember to bring mosquito spray because you will get bit. Right next to Wat Pho so highly recommend while you are there.

Recognized as one of the original brands of Sriracha hot sauce (if not the original). Sauce is good, but a bit sweet. Medium is similar to jalapeno, strong is closer to sereno heat but also a bit sweeter. They will let you taste before buying. They do not always have stock so you may check before treking over.

A very humble shop with a very kind and humble owner! He even offered a free taste so you could choose the spiciness level you can handle. I got a small bottle for my stay in Thailand and a big one to bring home. This isn’t the typical “ketchupy” kind you find in stores — it’s a real sauce, and I love this original version! I’ll definitely visit again and buy more bottles when I return. Pro tip: Buy the bigger bottle if you love your food spicy and saucy like me!

Hidden gem, regret not buying multiple bottles of sauce. Don’t get deceived by the store, if u really love hot sauce please please go here.. the best place to buy it. Not like the usual sriracha sauce this sauce tastes exceptionally good.

Wonderful! The owner is the 4th generation in the family and was kind to spend time answering our questions. We tasted both the original and hotter versions of the award winning sauce which is made once per month following the traditional technique. We bought some and also swapped a bottle with our own hot sauce ‘Yoyo Laos Sauce’ which we produce in Laos. Well worth a visit!
