Tried Nashville hot chicken for the first time, and wow, what an experience! I had it right on Broadway, and even with the big crowd, the service was fast and super friendly. The quality didn’t suffer at all, the chicken was perfectly tender, spicy, and full of flavor. Loved the coleslaw and sauce on the side, they balanced the heat beautifully. Bonus: there’s seating with a Broadway view that’s surprisingly easy to get. It really added to the whole Nashville vibe. A must-try if you’re in town!

Google
HAD to get Hot Chicken while we were visiting Nashville and Hattie B’s had the best reviews! The kids got the “medium” chicken Sammie w fries. They thought it was amazing and had the perfect amount of spice. The seasoning on the fries was really good and we all shared in eating them. My husband got the 2 piece fried chicken with “damn hot” and he said it was every bit of damn hot! lol he likes spicy food tho so he loved it. He also ordered baked beans and Cole slaw. He said both were very good and he was happy to have to slaw to cool down the heat from the chicken. I got the “hot” fried chicken with grits. The Sammie had a huge piece of chicken on it and they didn’t skimp on the toppings either. It was hot but not too much. I’m def a pansy when it comes to heat but this was perfect! I wouldn’t order anything hotter. The chicken was crunchy and super moist. The cheese grits was super delicious! I love grits anyways and they made them next level creamy, cheesy, and delicious!! Would def order them again! While they were busy, they definitely kept the restaurant clean! One employee stayed in the seating area the entire time just making sure everything stayed clean. He was super friendly and had a great attitude. He even got down on the floor to clean it when someone had spilled sauce. Good experience and we’d def come back.

Google
We were told that this is the best chicken in Nashville. It’s good chicken but i wouldn’t say the best. We waited around 30minutes in line. The chicken and fries were both good and really fresh. Their signature sauce was spicy. Overall it was a good experience and i would go again, if there wasn’t that much of a wait time.

Google
We’d heard great things about this spot, known for serving Nashville’s famous “hot chicken.” We waited in line for about 15 minutes. The girl at the counter seemed impatient and didn’t smile—she clearly wasn’t in the mood to answer our couple of questions. Then came another 15-minute wait for the food. When it finally arrived, it was good… but I honestly don’t get the hype. It’s classic heavy fried food—tasty, sure, but enough to give you a heart attack. Checked ✅… I won’t come back soon! 😂

Google
The experience at this location was interesting. The wait was about 40 minutes. We got to do a lot of people watching and hear some music while waiting. The food looked amazing but needed seasoning. Glad we got try it but I would not wait 40 minutes again for it.

Google
Stopped by the famed Hattie B’s on my way to the museum, figuring I’d grab a quick bite. I did not anticipate waiting in line for an hour and a half. I ended up getting the wings and a sandwich, and the portions were massive but I’m Canadian, so maybe I’m just not built for that kind of serving size. I only made it through two wings. The food was definitely delicious, and the seasoning was on point. Service was a 5 out of 5. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Overall, I’m glad I tried it, but I’m not sure I have the wherewithal to wait that long for fried chicken ever again. Can’t do it!

Google
We grabbed Hattie B’s Hot Chicken for lunch today and we were very pleased. The food was great - my wife had the grilled chicken sandwich with no spicy seasoning and she loved it - I had the fried chicken sandwich with Damn Hot seasoning and it was great, finally a sandwich with spice the made me drink water (I didn’t put the ranch on it for the first half so it was hot, the ranch definitely cooled it off for the second half). The side of mac-and-cheese and baked beans were good too. The service was fine but the person taking our order wasn’t very friendly (not rude either but just rushing us and there was only one person behind us). The atmosphere is nice and clean. We will definitely be going here again and telling everyone about it. Thanks Hattie B’s.

Google
Such a great spot for hot chicken. I got the 3-piece fried chicken tenders ( medium hot) with baked beans and potato salad! Omg, it was delicious and hit the spot after having a few beers down the strip. I recommend trying this place out. The food came out fresh and the wait was not long. The service was friendly and fast. I also ordered the fried pickles. The servings are plenty so maybe don't order too much as I did, however, you won't regret it if you just want to try a little of everything for a fair price.

Yelp
Thank you Vinnie for the excellent customer service. My wife is on a wheelchair and Vinnie pulled us aside to help obtain a lower level table and took our order from the table. Hot chicken strips were the bomb.

Yelp
Hattie B's Hot Chicken is hands down worth every second of the wait! Yes, the line was long, but the moment I bit into that perfectly crispy, flavorful chicken sandwich, I knew it was all worth it. The balance of spice and juiciness was unmatched, and the fries? Absolutely amazing--crispy, seasoned to perfection, and totally crave-worthy. If you're debating whether to stick it out in line, do yourself a favor and stay. This is some of the best hot chicken out there, and I'd happily wait all over again just for another bite!

Yelp
Overrated. We were visiting Nashville and stopped in just to try the food because of the hype surrounding Hattie B's. As it turns out, the experience ended up being less than memorable. We ordered the tenders, greens and fries. It was okay, but nothing spectacular. There were four of us, and we all agreed that the food was mediocre. The Nashville hot chicken did live up to its reputation, though. I took one bite and nearly joked to death. My brother LOVES hot stuff though and thought it was just "spicy." He wasn't bothered by the flavor and said he would have liked it if it had even more of a kick! The greens didn't taste very good, and the fries tasted like they came out of the freezer. It turns out Hattie B's wasn't our cup of tea. That didn't damper our vacation though! We just left and found our way to another restaurant on Broadway!

Yelp
Hattie B's is the juiciest chicken I have ever eaten. Hot and flavorful. A must-try in Nashville! When we arrived, the line was wrapped around the restaurant. This quick service facilitated just that--a solid system that quickly and courteously met customers' needs from ordering to service to table clear. The bathrooms were gross, though. From a menu standpoint, I wish it was clear that the large "small white" was actually two chicken quarters; I would not have gotten a large. Overall, we tried everything we wanted to with a bill of $38 for two. I will be interested to see how Prince's matches up...

Yelp
I know this is a total tourist spot, but it's my favorite Nashville chicken spot. I'll admit, I'm a whimp when it comes to the spice level, so I order the southern style chicken (aka no spice). But it's always flavorful and juicy. I also love their variety of sides. My go tos are the pimento mac and cheese and grits. I know other hot chicken spots lacking in the side category, so I'm thankful they have a good selection to go with their chicken. There are times I pass by and the line stretches far, but the trick is to go right when they open or later at night after hitting up the honky tonks. Even if there is a line, the staff works hard to keep it moving.

Yelp
DELISH. Did not disappoint. The hot was the perfect level for me. Mostly a nice dry heat. The black eyed peas salad was fresh in between bites of the fried sammie. Solid fries and Mac n cheese that the dirty bird fries allows you to try a combo of it all. Huge portions. We were all too tired to do anything after this meal :) Don't sleep on the boozy slushy!! The orange one was super good. Fast service with an attentive team behind the counter

Yelp
If you're looking to try Nashville hot chicken, I highly recommend Hattie B's! I've also had Prince's and definitely prefer Hattie B's. There's been a line both times I've come, but I think it's worth it and moves pretty quickly although the line might look long. If you're in a group, I would recommend someone getting a table while the others are in line. I ordered the chicken sandwich, mild heat level, and loved it! The sandwich is huge and their fries were great as well. One negative I do have is they kept coming to our table with orders but they weren't the right one. Although Hattie B's is always crowded, I think they could've kept track of orders better and known what we got.

Yelp
Went to Nashville and had to try Hattie B's hot chicken. We tried the location that's at the assembly Food hall and of course there was a line out the door, but it was going by pretty smoothly. The cashiers were so nice and asked us where we were from and gave recommendations as to what we should try. Everyone was very nice and help us clean up the tables as well towards the end. The chicken was nice and crispy. I ordered medium, but I should've ordered hot because I love spicy food. The mac & cheese was super creamy and I think had sweet peppers. The coleslaw was standard coleslaw, nothing special, but I still enjoy a nice crisp coleslaw. Surprisingly, for the amount of people that there were, there were still enough tables to accommodate the party of six that we had. I think if you're in Nashville, this is a great place to have crispy hot chicken !

Yelp
Hattie B's Hot Chicken in Nashville offers a trendy, clean atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between modern and casual. The interior is bright and welcoming, with a laid-back vibe that makes it a great spot for both locals and visitors. Service is slower, but its to be expected with the amount of people there! As for the food, the chicken sandwich is a standout. I opted for the medium hot spice level, and it was just the right amount of heat--bold, but not overpowering. The chicken itself was incredibly juicy and tender, with a crispy exterior that provided a satisfying crunch. The addition of pimento added a rich, creamy flavor that paired perfectly with the spice, elevating the sandwich to a whole new level. Considering the quality of the food and the generous portion sizes, the price felt very fair. For the experience and the flavor-packed meal, I would 100% go back. It's a must-try spot for anyone in Nashville craving hot chicken!

Yelp
Hattie B's really has the best hot chicken! It is worth standing in line for! I recommend getting the fried hot chicken sandwich or the chicken tenders with some French fries, too. Everyone was happy with their meal!

Yelp
Hattie B's because when in Nashville. I played the system and ordered pickup instead of waiting in those massive lines. Pimento Mac n cheese - chef kiss! My grilled tenders I ordered level "hot" because I love spicy. They were. Ranch helped cool the spice down a little. What I love best is it's great and affordable.

Yelp
I can't believe I forgot to post this review.... I an absolutely loved this place.... Food was sooo good... line out the door... all day and night... but it's worth it... It looks like any other fast food place.... Nothing to write about it... but the food ... it's a must try if anywhere near...
google avatar

Yelp
First off, this place has great music. They play music from every decade, including there's. This place has a cult following, but in a good way. When we drove by, the line was around the block. It is like this all day. I really hope employees are paid extremely well and get lots of breaks. They need it. Think of the busiest restaurant you can think of, and this place is much busier. We dis wait in line the fiest day because we wanted the experience of dining in. The next day, we ordered on the app and we're allowed to eat outside. I wanted to try the beer chcheese and peach cobbler, but they were out. Sounds like they haven't had desserts in a while and no telling when they are coming back. Ok, onto the food....I chose the chicken tender meal and it is a very good choice.i oordered Nashville Hot but in medium strength. I really wanted medium buffalo but it doesn't seem to be offered in Nashville. The tenders had almost a tiny bit of sweet flavor to them. Delicious. I ordered a side of pickles but wish they gave more than 5. The Mac and Cheese is excellent. So creamy and fresh The fries are good, not great. Overall, this is basically a cheap place to eat. They give lots of food for about what a Big Mac combo would cost. The quality here is good for fried food. I wish they had Hattie B where I live.
google avatar

Yelp
I've visited Hattie Bs 3 times. Service has always been excellent. The line is usually long, but once you order the food comes pretty quick. Each of the previous times I've gotten tenders, at least one was dry. But the others are deliciously moist! This time I tried the grilled rather than fried and they were all perfect! Great chicken, but beware, even medium heat is very spicy!!

Yelp
Exceeded expectations! I honestly thought, given how popular Hattie B's is with tourists, that it was going to be just okay, and potentially overrated. But it is actually worth the hype and I'm happy I tried it. Got the Chicken sandwich, "Damn Hot!" (2nd hottest out of 5 options in the scale.) The sandwich came dressed with slaw, pickles, sauce, and cheese. And came with a choice of side ($12 together - good deal). I also didn't expect the hot chicken to actually be hot. Once again, I was proven wrong! That thing had a serious kick to it, do not underestimate! Very tasty sandwich, generous amount of spicy chicken, and all the flavors go well together. I also got a side of ranch, which was great to dip in, to help cool down the heat! For sides I got more of the creamy cole slaw, and a pimento mac & cheese. Both delicious. Finally, I got the peach cobbler to try. I got through maybe 50% of the mac & cheese and like 25% of the peach cobbler before I had to call it quits because I was stuffed to the brim. The sandwich itself doesn't look that big but it sure is filling. Overall, enjoyable, hotter than expected, tasty sides and dessert. Oh and refreshing beer - I got the "Drinking Buddy" golden ale which looked to be special made for Hattie B's (I also didn't have room to finish the beer). However, it's been hours and my stomach still feels like I put rocks in it haha. Worth it tbh! But that's the main reason I did 4 instead of 5 stars. This meal will take you out!

Yelp
I was afraid that this place might be a little overrated, especially being right on Broadway, but honestly it was worth the hype. The chicken was fresh and delicious and you can choose your spice level. The top sides were the Mac & cheese and bacon grits by far. Service was very friendly and quick, even during the lunch rush. Definitely worth a stop when in Nashville!

Yelp
Hattie B's in Nashville is a must visit when in Nashville. Multiple locations throughout the city. Weekends are busy but service is great and lines keeps moving. Cashiers were friendly and prompt. Multiple spice levels to choose from, Damn Hot is exceptionally hot, even for someone who eats spicy foods. The chicken sanwhich was juicy and meat was fresh. Pickles in the sandwhich really added the perfect acidity and crunch. Sandwich perfect paired with the potato salad.

Yelp
Hattie B's Hot Chicken is a Nashville staple so you know I had to try it out to see what the hype was all about! With this location being on Broadway, it was a bit of a wait to get in but trust me, it was worth it!!! Hattie B's offers dark meat, white meat, wings and half a bird so I chose the wings! The heat levels range from "Southern" which is a very mild heat to "Shut the Cluck Up" which is their hottest so I decided on just plain 'ol "Hot" which was right in the middle. For my sides, I chose the Baked Beans and Red Skin Potato Salad and also wanted to try the Southern Greens and Pimento Mac & Cheese. Once we ordered, we were given a number and were able to sit where we pleased. This location was busy but had ample indoor and outdoor seating. The food was served in less than 10 mins and was piping hot. Let me tell you...those chicken wings were the best I've ever had!!! The heat level was perfect, the crispiness was amazing and it was seasoned to the bone!!! The sides were good but my favorite was the Pimento Mac & Cheese and the Southern Greens! Hattie B's you have a new fan in me! The food was a definite 10/10 and the service was excellent!

Abyana F.

Yelp
Hattie Bs! The fried chicken was absolutely phenomenal--perfectly juicy, with just the right amount of spice and a great crispy coating. Whether you like it mild or hot, the flavor shines through in every bite, making it some of the best fried chicken I've had in a while. The sides were just as impressive. From the creamy mac and cheese to the tangy slaw, each side dish complemented the chicken perfectly. It's rare to find a place where both the main dish and the sides are equally good, but Hattie B's nails it. The portions were generous, and the whole experience was great for anyone craving top-notch comfort food with a kick. If you're looking for a spot that serves up bold flavors and Southern classics done right, Hattie B's should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Hattie B' Hot Chicken, Nashville TN We recently tried the FAMOUS Nashville Hot Chicken from Hattie B's, and it was INSANE!! They open up at 11am, and there is already a line at the door, that's how you know it's good We definitely recommend getting there around 10:30am!! The chicken was fantastic!! They have different levels of heat to pick from for your sauce. We got the medium and it wasn't too spicy, but had just enough kick The chicken sandwhich comes with coleslaw, pickles, come back sauce, and cheese (either pimento or cheddar) The chicken was so tender and all of the flavors came together beautifully Of chicken sandwiches aren't your thing, they have chicken tender meals, wings, or home in chicken options as well!! That's a whole lotta chicken Their pimento Mac and cheese was so incredible, definitely do not skip this while you're here!! Of course, you have to get extra cole slaw, it's just too good!! They have additionally sell their seasoning, so you can have Hattie B's at home!!! They also have great merch/souvenirs So yes, ITS WORTH THE HYPE!!!! Don't miss this on your next trip to Nashville!! Yelp
There's always a line but it's worth it! The gluten free chicken was very good and they seem to be pretty careful with how they handle GF things. Even GF fries!
google avatar

Tansy W.

Yelp
Amazing. Absolutely loved the chicken sandwich (esp the sauce and slaw on it) and the fried chicken wings. I'm terrible with spicy food so ordered mild but could've gotten medium - didn't notice the spice much. The fries were great but was less impressed by the Mac and cheese, fried pickles, and grits. Did enjoy the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream though.

Yelp
A local recommended that we try this place once. Place was busy on a Monday night for dinner. Line out of the door. It moved pretty well. Took us about 20 minutes to order. They were out of most sizes of t-shirts. Ordering process was seamless. We sat at the high tops facing the street which was cool at night. We could people watch as we waited for our food. Because it was so busy, it took a little longer to get our food. I ordered the tenders basket on the "hot" temperature level which is middle. Fries were crispy. The cole slaw had a sugary taste to it which was unusual and amazing. It was a neat experience. I'm glad I tried it.
google avatar

Shannah H.

Yelp
Hattie B's lives up to the hype! We both ordered the hot fried sandwich and appreciated staff telling us coleslaw came on the sandwich. I switched my side order to potato salad. That was delicious! It was a cross between potato salad and mashed potatoes, and had chunks of bacon. Just really good. Fries were crisp-tender and lightly seasoned. We would 100% come back here again.

Yelp
LOVE Hattie B's! It's a go to when I'm in Nashville and usually try to go to a different location each time. Everyone we interacted with while here was very polite and service was great. Prompt and very little wait. Food is ALWAYS on point! Fresh and hot. Definitely some of the l best Nashville hot fried chicken you can find! It was my girlfriend's first time to a Hattie B's and she LOVED it! Never disappoints! A+!
google avatar

Pree C.

Yelp
Chicken is huge! So filling! Two people could share the 3 tenders and 2 sides. Everyone was really happy with their meals. All the sides are amazingly delicious! Really shocked how pure and tasty the sides were. Specifically the Mac and cheese and potato slaw. Medium is just the right amount of heat. Ambiance was super busy for a Friday night. Because of the layout you end up waiting outside the door which is not awful unless it's raining and cold. Customer service was not bad. Most were friendly. Would definitely come back here.
google avatar

Shelby C.

Yelp
Long line on a Saturday but moves at a decent pace. Guy behind the counter was awesome. Loud voice to keep the line in order, super friendly and accommodating to those ordering for the first time. Sat out on the patio on a perfect day. Tons of seating inside and out. The red potato salad was AMAZING. I got the chicken breast sandwich. It was good, but I may have liked it more if I got a spicier level? I think I went with 'hot' and it was good, but I wanted way more flavor (but I'm a lover of overly spicy food). Was in town for work and will definitely be back if I'm ever in Nashville again.

Yelp
TL;DR: Not as good as Prince's on every aspect First time in Nashville so I had to try the famous Hattie B's (along with other Nashville Hot Chx) Ordered: - Medium hot chicken tenders (4/5): good fry but definitely not medium, much closer to mild. Love the texture and the pickle was properly brined - Collard greens (3/5): weirdly bland and not tasty - Potato Salad (2/5): so much mayo you end up tasting cilantro and mayo only - Fried pickles (2/5): a must for me at any bbq joint and boy do I regret ordering these. The breading was so thick and not crispy at all. No thanks. Got Prince's as a side-by-side and I'm 100% a Prince customer - sorry Hattie B's Won't be back but thanks for the first bite of Nashville hot
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I was with my husband on a work trip to Nashville. I decided one day to have Hattie B's delivered to our hotel. I told myself to take into account delivery time, and how that might affect quality. I had no reason to discount any of it. The fries were still great, and the collard greens and potato salad were amazing! The sandwich itself - yum! Not as hot as the one I eat in Los Angeles, but I didn't ask for the hottest one. Highly recommend this, whether eating in store or delivery. Delicious!
google avatar

Embra B.

Yelp
Food was delicious Chicken tenders were a nice size and I chose mild for heat. Fries and coleslaw paired well. There was a line but the wait was not long. One thing I noticed is that the fans were on inside but the outdoor seating was open. To me, the fans should have been on low or off since it was close to mid 50s on our visit. Looking forward to trying some more hot chicken items!

Yelp
My partner and I knew we had to check out Hattie B's while visiting Nashville. Everyone kept raving about it, and as avid lovers of Nashville Hot Chicken - it was an easy sell. We went around 12pm on a Wednesday and the line was out the door, but it moves fairly quickly! I'd say we weren't waiting longer than 15 minutes. Once you've ordered, the food comes out pretty quickly as well; probably a 10 minute wait at most. They bring it to your table for you. Overall the food was good. We got a little bit of everything to try. Best bites were the Chicken Tenders and the Grits. Least favorite bites were the Collard Greens for me (too salty) and the Mac and Cheese for my boyfriend (not enough flavor). Banana Pudding is good as well! The worker taking our order made multiple mistakes which we caught while waiting at our table and looking at the receipt. We were able to flag down a food runner and he was extremely helpful in fixing all the issues before the food came out. Overall: the food is good; however dare I say, just a tad over-hyped - but still worth a visit.

Maithili S.

Yelp
Delicious. Got 3 tenders- chose fries and coleslaw for sides. Chose hot, damn hot and what the cluck. They were all pretty hot. My advice would be to eat for lunch, not dinner. Acid reflux is guaranteed. Haha. But worth it.
google avatar

Vicki A.

Yelp
Oh Gosh. This was GREAT. The whole experience, to waiting in a long line (it was fast), to trying the medium and a Shut the Cluck up level tender! The Shut the Cluck Up is the hottest level of heat and it was excellent (and HOT) The Great - The Medium Sandwich was so good and flavorful! The Good - The fried pickles The Bad - The mac n cheese was nothing exciting. I should have tried something else. The Ugly - NA We were visiting for a conference and had to go to Hattie B's. Really enjoyed the vibe of the place and the food. The chicken was perfect size, super juicy and not overly breaded or cooked! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Fantastic spicy chicken, I like the fact you get whole wings here! Many favors to explore! Grab a bag of the flock chips!
google avatar

BreAna M.

Yelp
If you are a first timer to Nashville (or not) this place should be on your list to try! It's popular for a reason. The chicken is made to order and is delicious. Depending on the day of the week and time of day that you go, there will be a line. Definitely on weekend nights, but depends on what's going on downtown. But like others have said, it's worth it! I went twice during my visit and had the chicken sandwich, and then the small dark combo. I tried the greens, baked beans and grits as sides. Those were all very good! The chicken is nice and spicy. My personal favorite of the two was the sandwich. I also tried Prince Hot Chicken and actually slightly prefer them over Hattie's as their chicken was a little more seasoned, but both places are very good!!

Yelp
After an early morning visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame, we hoofed to to Hattie B's to try to beat the rush. We arrived around 11:30 and had no wait. Most of our party tried the medium spiced tenders. One brave soul did get the Damn Hot. I tried a tiny bit of hers and it had me sweating. Great flavor but hot! The medium is plenty spicy and I would totally order it again. The sauces are great and you might need to dip into the ranch to cool it off a bit. I also tried the black-eyed pea salad (very similar to Texas Caviar) and the mac 'n cheese. Would get both again. Service was fantastic and the staff kept checking in even though this is an order at the counter place. I would certainly stop in one of their locations when in the area! (It is also a short walk from the Country Music Hall of Fame.)

Yelp
Hell yeah! Finally got to Nashville and let me say, Cali has let you down. This chicken is great. Service was awesome and price was fair. It was like going back in time. I went on a Tuesday night and the line wasn't too long. If it was, it would've been worth the wait!

Yelp
Fried leg/thigh - tasty but too salty, crispy and juicy chicken Coleslaw and Mac & cheese were tasty. Fries were dry & lukewarm Good portion size for the price. Front cashier is not the most engaged but I guess they see a lot of people & they bring out your food and clean the tables so service is good.

Yelp
I think my group got extremely lucky, but we showed up on a Tuesday around 11:30am and got right in! But the experience got even better. Ordering was easy. Tables were being cleaned and shuffled asap, so we got seated in a group of 6 perfectly. The staff were so nice. And the chicken is worth the hype! My tenders were obviously very spicy because I got the Damn Hot, but they were so juicy and perfectly cooked too. Sides are a great variety of southern classics. My favorite was the bacon cheddar grits! Intense flavor! I liked them even more than the pimento Mac n cheese which is obviously a fave. Fries helped cool my tongue! The tea was great too. The only thing I didn't think was the best was the banana pudding for dessert. It was the wrong consistency and texture was so weird, like loose and melty. But the flavor was good. I think it's priced really well too for how popular it is. I also love the Hattie B's vs Prince's Hot Chicken rivalry because it's fun to hear everyone's opinions. (I tried both and Hattie B's stole the show for me)

Yelp
Great experience. If in Nashville you must do the hot chicken and this is the OG. Menu items are simple and easy. I ordered the "mild" and it was the lowest level and still spicy! Price point is on point. Sandwich and drink -with side of your choice -$12. You cannot beat it and it's certainly a check on the list of things to do in Nashville . Wait for me on the line was roughly 20 minutes and that was probably light compared to other times Go try it! I loved it and it hit the spot.

Yelp
Phenomenal. I'm mad at myself that we ate here on our last day in Nashville, so I only got it once! If I'd eaten here on day 1, I would have circled back a couple of times. 5 stars for the service and efficiency. I was a little skeptical of the long line that wound around the store, but they keep it moving! It's not that long of a wait. Food came out fairly quickly for how incredibly busy they were. They have tons of servers walking around clearing tables, bringing condiments, asking how things are tasting, if you need anything, etc. For a counter-service restaurant, I wasn't expecting it to be so seamless! They really are on top of it and it's a well-oiled machine. Now - for the food. You already know it's amazing, that's why you're looking at reviews. Just go. Get a fried chicken sandwich and thank the Honky-Tonk gods that put you at Hattie B's at this moment in time, enjoying this delicious creation. Some things that I didn't find online - yes, they've got lots of dipping sauces. I was trying to figure out if the fried pickles come with any dippings and they come with a "comeback sauce" which is their house sauce (yum!). When you order, they ask you if you want any more sauces brought out with your order (ranch, blue cheese, some kind of mayo/aoili, and I forget the others). There's plenty of sauces. As far as the heat levels go - I played it safe. Read lots of reviews. I LOVE SPICY. But, I didn't want to be too confident and get it too spicy to the point where I couldn't enjoy the sandwich or taste it. So I got a "Medium" level sandwich. Honestly? I could have done Hot or the next level up. Medium really wasn't that spicy for me. It's hard because spice is so subjective. For reference, I pretty much put hot sauce on everything (I love sriracha, cholula, can't eat a burrito without tapatio, I usually get the spiciest option of hot sauces at a Mexican restaurant and use a lot of it). The medium wasn't that hot for me. Again - play it on the safe side if you're unsure or if it's your first time. You don't want it to be too hot where you don't enjoy your food. Overall, the sandwich was DELICIOUS and I will be back to try the hotter spice levels. Thank ya, Hattie B's!!

Yelp
Long line for a reason, the food is exceptional, but Thankfully the line goes pretty quickly. I had the no bones sandwich with medium heat level sauce with fries. The chicken is breaded and fried, piled with coleslaw, cheese, tomatoes, and pickles. The fries are crispy and seasoned. The food is served promptly, the area is kept clean, surrounded by friendly staff. This was my first meal in Nashville and it didn't disappoint.

Yelp
I had to try this since I was frequenting Lower Broadway several times. I couldn't do Nashville without some hot chicken! We came right when it opened, so wait was only a few minutes. I chose the medium spice sandwich with fries and banana cream pudding. Let me tell you, the medium spice level was more than enough! Chicken was crisp and juicy, and the fries were perfectly seasoned. Customer service was amazing, the staff was super friendly. Definitely stop by when you're in the area.

Yelp
Hattie B's is a staple in Nashville and it shows as there's a line at basically all hours. At least it's moves pretty fast. The hot chicken sandwich is delicious and flavorful. The damn hot is a bit too spicy so it takes away from the flavor in my opinion. The vibe is lively and there are sport games playing on TV screens to enjoy while you eat.

Yelp
Always a great experience at Hattie B's. The line was getting long when we arrived, but that was expected. It moved fairly quick. There is seating inside and outside, which included low tables and then seating around the railings to look out to the street. The food came out fast and was delicious. Lots of options for sides and the drink options were great too. Loved the alcohol slush options. Staff were friendly and brought food out quickly. Restrooms were clean, which is always nice to see at a busy establishment. Obviously we'd go back.

Yelp
When you think of "Hot Chicken", you think of Nashville. But when you're in Nashville, the queen of hot chicken is the original...Hattie B's! Since I have family in Nashville and visit there frequently, Hattie B's has been a place I've had bookmarked for a few years. I've gotten takeout from the Franklin location, but this week we had the chance to stop in at the location on Broadway. The chicken is outstanding here! No matter what level of spice you're craving, they have what you need. The chicken is moist and crispy. I ordered the pimento Mac n cheese and potato salad sides. I really like the Mac n cheese. If you're in Nashville, do yourself a favor and stop in at this classic!

Yelp
Of course we wanted to try what the rave was about. We went on a Wednesday night and this place had a huge line. We would've waited about 30 minutes just for order to be taken so I decided to order online for pick up to go because parking had a time limit and it was $10 an hour. Even with ordering online, it was still a 30 minute wait so between placing the order and picking it up it was 45 minutes in. There was not that many people dining in so we decided to eat at the restaurant. The chicken was fresh crispy and hot. I did not like the texture of the mac & cheese. I enjoyed the beans and the coleslaw. The fries tasted pretty basic but I like the fact that they gave you cool cups for drinks. They had a signature sauce as well as honey, mustard, and ranch, I think the place was good, but I don't see what the whole rave is about. I personally like princes chicken more.

Yelp
This place with worth ALL of the hype and consistent line ups out the door. We were on the way to the Assembly Hall for a quick bite before the Mariah Carey concert and hubby noticed that the line wasn't as insane as it normally is so we went in. This was the hot chicken place of our dreams. We did the medium spicy, hot and 2 individuals or What The Cluck- 'cause why not right?! We were in Nashville! When I say that we took the chance and started with What The Cluck- we were completely discombobulated. Snot and tears running down our faces, twitching eyes and lips. Even the meaty part of that chicken was H.O.T but we couldn't stop eating because it was so tasty. We were thankful for refillable cups that we got of sweet tea & lemonade mix which helped a tiny bit. Medium was our perfect combo of spice, flavor and a hint of sweet. Hot had more of a smokey flavor. We had Mac & cheese, grits & I think collard greens for sides? All was great but the chicken (all levels of spice) definitely takes the cake at Hatti B's. Service was also incredible, th staff were all so nice.

Yelp
Without a doubt, this is the best fried chicken I have ever tasted! While visiting friends in Lebanon, TN, everyone we talked to recommended Hattie B's as a must-visit restaurant. The wait to enter this location was about 40 minutes. While waiting you are able to review the menu and also see what other diners are eating while you wait. Once inside, the ordering process is quick and organized with friendly table service. The 1/2 chicken I ordered was seasoned perfectly and as previously stated, was the best. We also ordered their waffles. No syrup was needed to appreciate the great taste. If you like great tasting fried chicken, make sure to visit this place if you are in Nashville or the nearby area!
