I’ve been going to Hattie Jane’s Creamery for years. We LOVE their homemade ice cream. They typically have a couple of dairy free flavors too, for those who can’t have it and they have GF cones too. Their seasonal flavors are always to die for (roasted peach cobbler and strawberry are AMAZING) We love their parfaits too!

Google
Excellent flavors and large portions. I appreciate you can do half and half flavors in your cup! The service is great and the store is clean. Don't be afraid to try their unique flavors! They also list what ice cream is gluten free!

Stopped in today with my kids after eating at Puckett’s and I am so glad we did. Cute place, great ice cream and they support homeschoolers!

Google
I LOVE HATTIE JANE’S!!! I’d like to call myself an ice cream connoisseur, and this is some of the BEST ice cream I’ve ever had. The brown sugar cookie dough flavor is exceptionally delicious!!!! The staff is always very welcoming, friendly, and happy to answer my questions. I love that it’s a locally made ice cream too. The best around!

Google
Lovely little ice cream parlor located off the side of Pucketts. They have indoor and outdoor seating and most importantly excellent ice cream. We had dairy free chocolate milkshakes and they were delicious. You would not know the dairy free was dairy free, the taste is amazing.

Google
The best ice cream, I've had since I was a child in Chicago Illinois. The service was magnificent, you can try any flavor. And even have pie size and larger I believe to go, we also have a vanilla milkshake with chocolate and caramel with whipped cream and cherry.

Google
We love this place. We go weekly for my son wink, wink 😜 They have the best coffee ice cream ever & Im not a big ice cream person. The staff are always very friendly & I love the patio for warmer days!

Highly recommend Hattie Jane’s Creamery for some delicious homemade ice cream! I tried their Nana pudding flavor and it was amazing! You have to try their ice cream with a waffle cone too. I will definitely come back to try more flavors!

Yelp
After a delicious meal at Puckett's we could resist topping the evening with Hattie Jane's ice cream. I loved their coffee and honeycomb flavors. Not inexpensive but the scoops were generous and worth the investment.

Lizzy S.

Yelp
Cutie little stop, perfect for some late night ice cream around Mufreesboro. A select few flavors but all made in house and their fresh whipped cream and house made maraschinos are the literal cherries on top.

Yelp
I am an ice cream LOVER. I have had more ice cream than the average Joe and I'd like to say I know good ice cream when I taste some. I have gone to Hattie Jane's probably 5x (or more) in the past month after trying the limited edition brown sugar cookie dough flavor which has become quite possibly the best flavor I have ever had. It has exceeded my ice cream standards in terms of flavor, consistency, and overall enjoyment and I rave about it to everyone. I'm so sad it's gone!! Please bring it back!

Aaron B.

Yelp
I stopped in the other day and tried the honeycomb ice cream. It was great. The staff member was extremely friendly.

Victoria M.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream! Milkshakes are delicious but for $12.00 a little pricey. Place is located in the heart of downtown. Cute inside or outside seating. Staff were wearing masks and the environment was welcoming. Staff offered ice cream samples. Lots of ice cream flavors - some are classics while others were unique. The coffee mulekick was delicious - coffee flavor steeped with muletown roasted coffee beans. The honeycomb ice cream was unique with golden honeycomb candy, cacao nibs, and marshmallow fluff. Milkshakes come with whipped cream and a cherry unless you ask otherwise.

Alice B.

Yelp
Ice cream was very good. The scoop was huge! Waffle cone was tasty Service was polite and quick.

Josue P.

Yelp
YOOOOOOOOOOO this is fire. Get the unicorn. Maybe the other parfaits are good but for now this is fire. Go. Go right now. Service was great as well. There's music playing as I type. I'm like in a movie scene right now. Wow. Don't walk. Run.

Kim S.

Yelp
We came in right before closing. This store is so cute, right in the square. Friendly service. Ordered a chocolate Oreo milkshake, cotton candy & 2 jarritos sodas. Total was $24 plus tip. Will definitely come back for another sweet treat!

Zach S.

Yelp
A bit of advice-- do not order a milkshake. I had been here once before after moving to the area and loved it. So I was excited to go back and try a house-made chocolate milkshake. The line was long when we arrived, but I figured it would be worth the wait! The older man in front of me actually got a milkshake, too. When I got to the glass case to deliver my order, I was excited to ask for a chocolate milkshake with whip cream. The worker looked at me annoyed, stared at me for about 10 seconds until saying, "K". She rolled her eyes and sighed, and then she aggressively asked, "Cherry or no?" Not only was the worker hostile and annoyed for not reason, the shake was runny and just chocolate milk at this point. Next time, skip the confrontation and disappointment, and only get ice cream.

Yelp
I'm obsessed w Hattie Jane's banana pudding ice cream. The texture and flavor are perfect. It's not too banana-y, it's just right. When I get sick of this flavor, I'll branch out.

Dekaily D.

Yelp
I'm an ice cream connoisseur !! This is the Best ice cream I've had in a while!!! Get the brown sugar cookie dough and coffee on the bottom! Also the young lady in there with one hand is the sweetest and she totally rocks!

Astrid S.

Yelp
This place is nicely located in the city's quaint main square. The space is very limited so if you're trying to keep your distance is not likely to happen as people waiting and people trying to go out use the same door. Hard but not impossible. There is outside sitting. The service is professional & they're have a ton patience. Now, the ice cream makes it ALL worth it. They have a nice selection of flavors and they also sell coffee. I'll be trying that next. This time around I had the Honeycomb and it was AMAZING!!! My kids also recommend the mint chocolate one. Definitely going back.

Sayde H.

Yelp
The ice cream was absolutely AMAZING! They give you SOSOSOSO much in a scoop, and they are so kind. The place isn't crowded at all and has an overall good vibe and ambiance.

Selah B.

Yelp
ok how do they make ice cream like that like woah thats so good omg so sugary and mid prices i cannot believe it im in shock so many flavors‼‼ and the ambiance is so cute i love

Heather J.

Yelp
Hattie Jane's is a delicious treat!! We went for the first time since moving here over a year ago and I am happy with the experience. I had the peach cobbler seasonal ice cream and my fiancé had the lemon sorbet and vanilla. Both were delicious and the waffle cones really put it over the top. We also got a pup cup for our dog while we were there! We love our town square in Murfreesboro so we will definitely be back to Hattie Jane's.

Gregg F.

Yelp
Cute ice cream shop with a pretty, historic main st. Location. Great selection of flavors. Cool restaurant with live music in the same building, so a good location for a night out for cocktails, dinner and Ice cream.

Claire E.

Yelp
Um a little over priced?? $20 for two cups of ice cream!!! I mean it's good and service is friendly but for just ice cream... i'm sorry

Ray R.

Yelp
Day 2 in our search for the best drinkable ice cream landed us at Hattie Janes Creamery. My son got the unicorn milkshake and really enjoyed its uniqueness and flavor. My daughter went with the cookie dough milkshake which is her favorite. She loved the shake I got the minty chocolate fudge milkshake and have to say the ice cream was very good. We all voted a 5 for flavor. Overall we decide to remove a star due to the price of a milk shake being $7-$11. But maybe it will make our scoop-able ice cream list.

Ashley M.

Yelp
We were in the area so we stopped by to grab some ice cream. I got the honeycomb ice cream which was really good with bits of chocolate nibs, and fluff swirled in with some fluff and honeycomb. It was sweet, creamy and rich which was what I was looking for that day. My husband got the cookie in a jar which had several different cookies bites mixed with chocolate. It was really good also not to chocolatey but just the right amount of sweetness and cookie bits with every bite which my husband loved. Price was good for the portions and staff was friendly and helpful on what flavors to get and offered us samples. Will be going back to try some other flavors soon

Mike V.

Yelp
Love the ice cream here. Super rich, creamy, and tasty. The ice cream sandwiches are AMAZING! Definitely the best Ice cream we've had in Tennessee!!! 4/26/18 update: Came in tonight for Ice Cream...sign on said open, but the rude girl behind the counter said they were closed, she just hadn't had time to lock the door yet...crappy customer service! People were still in there! We come in all the time, but don't think we'll be back...very unprofessional!

Cynthia O.

Yelp
If you are looking for good tasty really rich ice cream this place is worth every penny. Original flavors and a great selection.

Maddie H.

Yelp
Hattie Jane's is located right on the main square serving up ice cream, milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches with Southern hospitality. The staff member helping us was generous with the tasting spoons. We got a scoop to share but my absolute favorite was the honeycomb! YUM! Although the ice cream shop is small they have a an outdoor covered patio where you can enjoy the sweets. The actual shop is nicely decorated and well kept. I will definitely be back next time I am in the 'boro as this is a great little spot--very cute with great ice cream and friendly staff.

Julian I.

Yelp
Great ice cream! The servers were polite and worked fast, so the line went quickly. Highly recommend!

Allie H.

Yelp
Always a great selection, staff, and service. Loved everything I have tried. I take everyone from out of town and we haven't been disappointed once.

Hanna L.

Yelp
My favorite ice cream place in the boro! They have a nice location right on the square, and you can hear Puckett's live band playing at night. The staff is friendly and does their best to get the line moving quickly. They have some very unique flavors such as Cream Corn and Raspberry Jam, Honeycomb, Cookie Jar, etc. My absolute favorite is the Banana Pudding flavor in a waffle cone! It's amazing and has pieces of bananas in it to make things even better. They have some ice cream you can grab from the freezer and take home like their PB&J flavor, too. Other desserts like cookies, brownies, snd sundaes are also sold, as well as apparel. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but i usually just walk around the square to enjoy mine! Such a great treat.

Mikayla K.

Yelp
I came here because I heard great reviews. The workers are very nice and let me try almost every flavor but the reason I had to try so many flavors is because none of them were really that great and I couldn't figure out what I wanted. Their flavors are all a bit unique and some tasted icy and not as creamy as I expected. I got the snickerdoodle cookie and it was super thin and not flavorful. The prices are steep for what you get so I don't think it's worth it. I paid $7 for 2 scoops. And 2.50 for the disappointing cookie. I will say though, The toasted coconut is the best flavor and it's dairy free!

Chey R.

Yelp
Great ice cream. Great location. Acceptable price. We loved the cookie dough, toasted s'mores and honeycomb. They have a nice little patio if you want to hang out and eat there. They do have cups if your one of those serial killer types who doesn't like waffle cones

Michelle M.

Yelp
I had a chocolate shake my husband had two scoops of ice cream, both were very good, price pretty reasonably , friendly staff, clean, nextt door to pucketts. We would go back.

Eddie D.

Yelp
Excellent ice cream and service. The guy and gal behind the counter were quick, friendly, and accurate! They were swamped but managed to get everyone's orders out with a smile and much faster than I expected.

Don B.

Yelp
Always local fresh ingredients here. Best ice cream in the Boro! They come up with great flavors and combinations, including some 21 & over options with alcohol infused.

Danielle R.

Yelp
Wow! This was really good ice cream. I stayed with my usual flavor, which is mint chip, but the young lady let me try honeycomb and omg - delicious! Their ice cream is so creamy, and you can tell it's homemade. I sat in my car and devoured my small cup.

Asia A.

Yelp
This was my first visit here, and when leaving, I needed a 1/2 gallon of water to drink! The icecream was good, hence the 4 stars, but the icecream left my mouth with a coat of sweetness that I needed to wash down. I love sweet things, so I'm really surprised this happened. For this reason, I probably won't be back. I ordered the banana pudding icecream that tasted just like banana pudding! Such GREAT flavor!! I'm not sure if they used too much milk or cream though, it was just a bit too thick. I ended up tossing half of it, which I never do! Overall, nice location, with lots of street parking, and sweet icecream. If you've never been, it's not a terrible place to stop in.

Thommy S.

Yelp
3 and a half. A small, cute ice cream parlor that serves coffee. I liked their waffle cone. At a lot of places, the cones are stale, but their waffle cone was still crunchy here. I got their vanilla ice cream, and I thought it wasn't as sweet as other places. I prefer my vanilla ice cream to be sweet since I like to eat sweet. The girls that worked there were very friendly and helpful.

Caitlyn M.

Yelp
Delicious everytime. The cookie jar supreme is amazing! There's always a long line but it's because the ice cream is that damn good.

Heather P.

Yelp
Mm! Who doesn't like home made ice cream?! Cute little shop, welcoming employees, and a variety of flavors to choose from. The flavors I sampled were yum. The employee told me that the flavors rotate and change frequently which is pretty cool. I settled on the toasted coconut, dairy-free flavor with house made waffle cone bits. One scoop is a very large scoop. It's a little pricy for frequent ice cream visits in my opinion but everything is fresh so you get what you pay for. The shop gives me the vibe of a cute little date stop. It's connected to Puckett's next door.

Cara H.

Yelp
Great service with a smile. Yummy ice cream. We will definitely come back when we're in town.

Salliese T.

Yelp
The ladies here are super sweet! They let my baby sister sample just about all the flavors. I got a root beer float and it was amazing!

Ambrea F.

Yelp
UPDATE 5/3/19: The owner of this business has since contacted me, sincerely apologized, and has since fixed this issue with grace. This place has great ice cream, but they have the STUPIDEST rule about serving kids size ice cream to adults. When you order a kids size ice cream, NO matter your age, you still are paying for a small AMOUNT of ice cream. Thu place chooses to lose a customer AND money because they choose to not serve an adult a child's size ice cream.............

Scott A.

Yelp
We've been spoiled by Jeni's. Ice cream needs to be natural and hand made with fun flavors. I heard about this place several times from friends so for date night I took my wife after dinner. It definitely held its own! I love the gluten free waffle cone. Thank you for that! Tasting was easy. At night, we came and the line was iut the door. But it moved quickly. My wife went with the classic mint chocolate, which was a rich, delicious version of this. She loved it. I got lemon. I love lemon yogurt and this was just like that only frozen. Rich, small fibers of the fruit, slightly tart. Really good! The price wasn't prohibitive. The flavors were good. Overall, wed definitely come again.

Jeremy H.

Yelp
Been coming here for a while. The service and ice cream are always great. This is a great location to hang out and people watch with some good food.

John T.

Yelp
You have to believe me: I had no intention of stopping in to Hattie Jane's. Picture it: there I was, walking the Murfreesboro Downtown Square for the first time. Taking pictures and making note of the quaint nature of the Square vs. the coming sprawl of Medical Center Parkway and how the two could be rectified, I smelled something very sweet. I looked up and saw a cute sign. Then I realized this was an ice cream shop. Uh oh. Thinking I would just check to see what people were saying on the Jelps, I opened my app and saw positive review after positive review. Uh oh. By the time I realized what was happening, my feet had moved me inside and I was studying the ice cream case. Since I had places to be and things to do, I couldn't be bogged down with a heavy dessert. But I *had* to have ice cream. What to do? Got it! I knew what to do. There was a family ahead of me sampling nearly every flavor (seriously). The clerk behind the counter apologized for taking so long to get to me and I told her not to worry about it. Back in my teen years, I worked at a number (yes, more than one) of ice cream/yogurt shops. I know how it goes. The family had eaten their quart of samples and now it was my turn. Pretty sure of what I was going to do, I started with some sampling of my own. Cookie Jar is every bit the chocolate joy spoken of in my previous reviews. If you manage to get in the store when Caramelized Pineapple is still on the menu, get it. Seriously. Just get it. Assured that the ice cream was as good as thought, I split the difference between my sweet tooth and volunteer needs and got an affogato. The creaminess and sweetness of the ice cream would give me the sugar high I needed but the espresso would cut the sugar crash, give me a burst of caffeine and serve as a (sort of) digestif. #thinking I asked the clerk what the best ice cream for the drink would be and she opined to keep it simple: chocolate or vanilla. Since that's never a choice (always chocolate), I combined the beans and kept it moving. My hot/cold bitter/sweet treat was just what I needed as I finished walking the Square and returned to my volunteer duties. Hattie Jane's was quite the pleasant surprise and I wouldn't be at all against doing it again some time very soon.

Lisa N.

Yelp
This place is such a little creamery. Friendly staff and very tasty treats. I was surprised by the side of the scoop we received. It was so good my husband and i completely forgot to take pictures of our double scoop. The flavor we enjoyed the most was the honeycomb i believe that was the name. Extremely sweet! I would def be back to this place to try more flavors.

Seth E.

Yelp
Cookie jar is phenomenal! Service is top notch as well. Honeycomb is a close second to cookie jar. All in all it's great ice cream.

Karlie E.

Yelp
It was our first time here today and we tried the honeycomb ice cream. It was fantastic! I would have taken a picture but we ate it much too fast.

Nalini M.

Yelp
Love this place! All of the flavors are amazing. It's a little on the pricey side of ice cream. 1 quart was around $10 and the scoop wasn't too badly priced. My favorite flavor is the nana pudding.

Harriet H.

Yelp
This is a great ice cream place if you're in Murfreeboro do not miss it. The service was great.

Kelsey S.

Yelp
I love this this ice cream shop situated right next to Puckett's on the square. We stopped in for dessert after lunch, and it took me forever to decide which unique flavor I was going to go for. I tried the biscuit and jelly and the banana pudding and both were yummy! You can really imagine that you're eating the frozen treat's namesake. I had such a hard time choosing between the two that I ended up going with something completely different. I'm a huge chocolate lover, so it didn't surprise anyone that I chose the cookie jar! I absolutely loved it. Chocolate ice cream with Oreo cookie cream mixed in, then loaded with cookie bits. The only complaint I could even pick on is that it was ever so grainy, but that wouldn't stop me from enjoying these tasty treats again...and again and again! Can't wait to go back!

Patrick J.

Yelp
This little shop is attached to a restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and they make a coconut ice cream that our dairy intolerant family can actually have and tastes good. I wish the seating inside was a little better but they did great with their limited space. The espresso over ice cream is what I almost always get. It has to be my favorite item on the menu.
