Yelp
This is why I love Yelp! My husband and I were looking for somewhere that we haven't been to yet to grab a drink. Yelped bars in Charlotte and Hattie's popped right up. Well, I am so glad we chose this place because this may become one of our regular spots.
I will have to say that the outside of Hattie's isn't the most inviting....I actually thought they were closed for a minute there because of the black tint doors. Completely recognize that they are going for a dive feel, though, so that may have something to do with it. When you step in though, it's a huge space inside!!
First thing I noticed was all the video games with tvs mounted on the wall. I dont know if I have ever seen that in any bar in the area. So fun!
For a new-ish bar, I was fairly shocked with how many local beers they had on tap! Some of them werent even the standard locals that everyone has.....they adventured a little bit. Throughout the night, I had the Triple C BabyMaker and the Unknown Ginger Wheat (both of which I love and order regularly!). My husband had a citrus IPA and some coco stout. Dont think we had heard of the beers before....which is a hard task to accomplish for us!
We played a couple games of darts and then checked out the outdoor patio. Really neat space! We watched an artist work on the outside mural for a bit. They have cornhole out there, ping pong, and a bunch of tables and lights. Chill spot to listen to some live music!
I saw that they seem to have lots of things going on out there. Live music, open mic, etc. There wasnt anything happening on the Wednesday we went out, but I will absolutely return to check out some live music. There were so many little touches that I loved.....dog pictures, charging station for phones, the random bathtub on the patio!
Dog friendly, but not overwhelming dog friendly.
Just a cool, chill bar!
