"This place has been run by the Stemberg family since 1864. Head chef Sascha Stemberg represents the fifth generation at the helm, and he works with the same passion and commitment as his father before him! The restaurant's unique concept allows for plenty of choice, with a four- to six-course set menu and gourmet dishes à la carte. Things get all the more intriguing when tradition is thrown into the mix and home-style dishes are transformed into haute cuisine. One such creation is the Königsberger Klopse (meatballs) with crispy sweetbreads, caper cream, Amalfi lemon, green vegetables and potato purée. "Oma's Schokoladenpudding" (grandma's chocolate pudding) is a tempting dessert option. The waitstaff are very friendly and laid-back, not to mention attentive. A one star Michelin restaurant, worth the visit. We had the 6 course sampling menu, it was a lot of food so come hungry. Now we say that the 4 course menu is enough. The flavours they give the food is one of a kind, you will not forget the food here and you'll never find it in another place. Totally worth the splurge.

Went here with my girlfriend for date night. We went for the tasting menu, which was fabulous! The restaurant has a very traditional charm, while the dishes are very modern. Service was outstanding and friendly. You can almost feel that this is a family-run Business. Any time again !

The family Stemberg will provide you with the warmest welcome a guest could ask for and their personal approach is shown all evening. The food was well balanced and the flavors in combination with using the best ingredients made it close to perfection! The matching wines were well picked and the personal touch of the service made it a night to remember, I will definitely be back visiting Haus Stemberg and I can highly recommend it to guests that are looking for fantastic food and service in a house full of history and warm personal approach.
