Dont miss going to this location. Lots to see, interesting art and architecture, stunning garden, high quality produce and options to eat. Unlike everywhere else in the region it was free and well 'wirth' the visit!

Lovely country art gallery with an amazing garden behind it as well as a good cafe and a farm shop. It all makes for a great day out. The adjacent village of Bruton is well worth visiting as well

Beautiful venue. Excellent farm shop where we bought some delicious items(not cheap though). Great Spritz cocktails on a Sunday followed by walk through gardens and delicious lunch.

Great art gallery food offerings and gardens. Nice vibe, quirky spaces and a farmers market with a deli on site.

Beautiful setting for an art gallery, fascinating exhibition, delicious food, lovely gift shop, great farm shop and fantastic gardens! We had a great day out!

Came over with my husband and our grandaughter loved the small garden and all the beautiful flowers 💐 the bar area we felt great trendi place to catch up with friends for food or cocktails the area for the restaurant outside was beautifully set up for dinners the gallery had bright and unusual items on display just a lovely place to visit

It's very well thought of. The art is quirky, intricate, interesting and some even have movements. The grounds are kept really clean and sanitary. The farm shop is awesome, the best part for me. Their restaurant has ample seating inside and out. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It's a 🆓 entry into the galleries &/or the gardens which are also very beautiful and well maintained with a pod at the top of the garden to explore and sit in. The properties which get let out are wonderful 😊 very well maintained and kept clean 🫧 there's also parking 🅿️ for the most of them and an art 🎨 studio which is also very good for the artists to indulge in.

The farm shop is absolutely brilliant - fantastic local produce, fresh ingredients, and everything you'd want from a proper Somerset farm shop. Great quality and the staff are helpful. The art gallery is... well, it's certainly something. Beautiful space and some genuinely interesting pieces, but fair warning: the price tags have more zeros than my bank account. I spent longer staring at the ££££ price tag on a small canvas than I did admiring the actual artwork. It's like window shopping for oligarchs! Still, it's free to look (thankfully), and the exhibitions are thoughtfully curated. Perfect for a day out - fill your basket with lovely local goodies, then pretend you're sophisticated enough to casually browse art that costs more than a small car. The café is decent too. Would recommend!

A top class art gallery in the middle of nowhere - what's not to like?! Hauser & Wirth is a leading gallery for contemporary and modern art with well established outlets in Zurich, London, New York and LA. I love the fact that they took over an old farm in Somerset and turned it into an oasis of calm and beauty. The current exhibition by Pipilotti Rist (till Feb 2015) alone is worth the trip. One of her video and sound installations is presented in a big room where visitors are asked to take off their shoes and settle on one of the fluffy sheep skins dotted around the floor - the most comfortable exhibition I have ever visited! There's also a lovely shop with local artisan products and a restaurant/bar - enough to keep you busy for most of the day.
