Villa Haute Guais, Dinard, Brittany, France - Explore & Book
"Dinard has been a seaside resort for the crème de la crème since the late 19th century, when British aristocrats and the Parisian elite first flocked in for sea bathing and oyster quaffing. Many of their grand cliff-side villas still stand proudly along the shoreline, but none quite like Villa Haute Guais. Just visible through the trees, this historic residence gazes out across the Baie du Prieuré toward Dinard’s east shore, and promises a truly luxurious stay on Brittany’s Emerald Coast. The villa’s five rooms and suites are meticulously designed by Sophie Bannier, who pulled much of her inspiration from across the channel. Bold colours, eclectic wallpapers, British fabrics and touches of Art Deco flair breathe new life into this Belle Époque mansion, while still preserving its past (and original Odorico murals). The rooms even take their names from British aristocracy. But fear not, the cuisine is decidedly, deliciously French, from the breakfast spread of fresh bread and pastries to the table d’hotes serving up local delicacies in the warm and vibrant dining room. And with Saint-Malo and the beaches of Vicomte and Prieure on your doorstep, bon vivants are well placed for a charming seaside sojourn.
