I had the pleasure of visiting the Havana Cigar Lounge in Alhambra, California, and it's safe to say that it exceeded all my expectations. This hidden gem may have a smaller cigar selection, but it offers so much more that makes it a five-star experience. The ambiance at Havana Cigar Lounge is exceptional. The inside exudes warmth, with cozy seating areas that make you feel right at home, a bar area and an outdoor area. What sets this place apart is the option to enjoy your cigars both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor seating area is a delightful spot to relax with friends while savoring a fine cigar. The full bar is a fantastic feature. Not only can you bring your own cigars, but you can also pair them with a wide selection of beverages. Whether you're a whiskey connoisseur, a fan of craft cocktails, or simply in the mood for a refreshing beer, they've got you covered. The knowledgeable staff can recommend the perfect drink to complement your cigar. The staff here is friendly creating a welcoming atmosphere. Their expertise and willingness to assist, whether you're a seasoned aficionado or a newcomer to cigars, enhance the overall experience. Furthermore, the lounge often hosts events and gatherings. It's evident that they take pride in creating a sense of community among their patrons. In summary, the Havana Cigar Lounge in Alhambra, California, may have a smaller cigar selection, but it makes up for it with its inviting atmosphere, full bar, and excellent service. I can't recommend this place enough for a relaxing and enjoyable cigar experience. It's a five-star establishment that's worth a visit

Quaint cigar lounge with a small selection of cigars in their walk in humidor. Place is clean and employees were polite and helpful. Drinks served on site and run about 10-15 per.

Coming from seattle it's nice to be in a place that allows you to smoke inside. Good selection if cigars, decent music and standard drinks. Excellent place to chill out, have a cigar, drink, and just relax. Will come back next time.

Great place to hang out with friends. Nice crowd. Guy at the bar makes great reccomendations and is very helpful. Though somewhat limited selection you have all your basic cigars.

Have been back in almost ten years but This used to be the spot back in the day. It’s completely dead now. Just a bunch of dudes just smoking inside and outside. Music was okay but it was dead here. They don’t serve food here

Decided to walk over with my husband to check out this place. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. My husband wanted to smoke a cigar for the first time and the guy working here was so helpful helping him pick out a few cigars… music playing was awesome. We’re 80’s people and the DJ played a great mixture of 80’s, 90’s and newer stuff. We had fun

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Havana House -Alhambra for allowing me to host my special occasion. A personal thank you to Anthony, Mario, the Bar Staff, and the Security Guards. We had the patio section to ourselves for hours! I appreciate how accommodating everyone was to our day. As locals, this spot has always been our go-to for a drink, smoke a cigar, and a great atmosphere. The DJ kept the energy going throughout the night! We will definitely return. Thank you again! Worst service ever bartender ignored me and my party for 5 songs and had to flag down the other bar tender on the other side. Asked for another round thinking the guy was a bartender. He informwrd us that he wasn't a bar tender but don't let anyone know we were asking for another round. If ure looking g for a good time please ignore the bar tender below

Reasonably priced drinks, indoor/outdoor place which I love. Free parking, good variety of cigars and great DJ! This is a chill spot, you can catch up with friends and have good convo since the music isn't blasting in your ears like it does in clubs. I've been here multiple times and have had great experiences here. Definitely recommend it!

I was in the area when came across this shop so decided to check it out. There is outdoor seating and TV in front near the entrance. Inside there is a full bar, tables and chars and a couple of flat screens. Next section includes the humidor, a comfy couch, 2 chairs with a wall case of cigar accessories and paraphernalia. The humidor was small but carried a moderate brand of premium cigars. I bought a Basil Hayden Old Fashion and the Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro. The prices are higher than many of the shops I visit. On Friday and Saturday after 10pm, it's a club vibe with DJ, music and dancing.

Ambiance is still great but ask for anything other than a basic drink and the bartenders don't know their stuff. I asked for an apple martini (nostalgic request, don't judge) and all they did was put a bunch of chilled apple Ciroc in a glass. Very disappointing.

Beware!! Unprofessional! A group of work buddies went here for a nice time, $5 beers. The bartenders are crap! My friend a male unfortunately had too many drinks. Resulting him going to the hospital with a .35 alcohol level. As leaving He drunkly orders 3! More beers(we didn't let him drink them). The bartender allowed him to order more, when SHE could clearly see he had WAY too many. They just care about their tips. Bartenders are suppose to judge to keep people safe. Here they don't give a CRAP! I wonder how many people have been hurt due to this bars Unprofessionalism .

Their customer service needs a serious revamping. The security guards are arrogant and insensitive to the customer's needs. My friend with disabilities was inaccurately accused of being drunk. As we tried to explain the situation to the guard, he became extremely hostile and unreceptive, stating over and over that he's "good at what he does". I felt so bad for my disabled friend. It was embarrassing!!! How could this type of discrimination be tolerated? The guards need sensitivity training ASAP!!!!

First of all we show up and we're told they won't let anyone in because of last call for alcohol bs reason but not even five minutes after they let three people in... this is of course before last call but the door person has a hidden agenda against my friend. A person who denied him a date no less. I talk to the possibly supervisor whom wanted to hash out what was going on did not succeed due to the fact that the guy who was checking IdZ thought he was hot shit according to his actions. I told the guy above him it wasn't my first time there and I'd be back was told ok that I wouldn't be held back for returning. The reason why I'm leaving this yelp review is for the mofo who thought he was above us all "hot shiet" pony tailed guy at the door) July 27, 2024. If you're going to not let people in for bullshit reasons please be consistent about your bullshit reasons. I hope you're happy in your new role (pony tail guy) flipping burgers. Next time be nicer to the people who keep you employed.

First of all WOW I was going to have my birthday event at this location but my husband forgot his ID which never happens, then he was profiled by these TOP FLIGHT security from the movie Friday at the front talking about what problems should they accept ...my husband should be last person you need worry about but they should worry if something has or does jump off how they handle it flashlight security NEVER AGAIN they lost money that place was empty and dead , the boiling crab next was more busy. Fellas don't take it to the next level You almost ruined my night but we took the party and business elsewhere.Shame that we still profiling, when clearly the guys at the door being security look like they be the runners hahahahaa BAD BAD BAD

I want to give this place 5 stars, but... Okay, so the space is great. Nice bar, good seating, open street-facing areas. The music is just so, so loud. Obnoxiously loud. It would be great to be able to enjoy a cigar AND a conversation, but don't come here if you actually want to talk to people. Anyway! Kirby is great, best bartender there.

This is my first time coming here and probably won't ever come back. It was fun at first and the music was nice. The vibes were good for me and my group. When I ordered a drink and asked them if they can put less tomato juice in my Miche they refused to fix my drink and said they are always made w the same amount. Ridiculous. It had no beer taste at all and all I said was okay then thanks I get it..if we're paying for a drink it should be enjoyable. The girl bartenders are just straight plain rude and have ugly attitudes and are also liars. She said I can't order any more drinks cause I used profanity not once did I. Y'all must not like your job get a new one and fix your bitchy ways.

For a business that is hardly thriving, we encountered a security guard whom was extremely inhospitable and rude. We wanted to be nostalgic but instead received an unwelcome from an aggressive and highly unprofessional staff member. Very unsettling, especially coming from a place that needs business. They said my friend with a disability was drunk, insensitive. We used the bathroom and left.

Love this place ! Great selection of Cigars ! They have a full liquor bar Bonus , nothing like pairing a cigar with a good whiskey. Very friendly & personable Staff . Anthony, Kirby & Mo . But not matter who's there you will have a good time especially once the DJ starts .

I use to be a regular at this place...but after tonite might not be. This is because the bartender (female) is clearly shady! I ordered a Bay Of Pigs drink and it came out to be $14.30 something.. paid in cash and didn't think nothing of it. Then, my friend came by and I bought him a Jack and Coke and it came out to $14 and then I ordered another Bay Of Pigs and came out to $13? Wtf? Lol do bartenders make their own prices up?? Both times I tipped her too ! What a shady ass bitch ! What are the real prices of these drinks ? Read the other reviews and you will read the same shit about not charging correctly or overly tipping on cards.. Check your card when you get home. If your reading this management... you need to check your staff on ethics and not stealing ! Or place a drink menu so customers can see the actually cost of drinks. Bartender was a female.. a lot of make up, fake lips/boobs, and dressed kinda trashy. Customers BEWARE!! if u don't want to get scammed ! Don't come.

If I could give less I would. Unprofessional and definitely needs up keeping on the bartenders and fake security that hangs out in the restroom acting like a customer.. should be worried about the people outside not the girls trying to use the restroom.

Bar was closed pretty much all of covid so I'm glad it's back. I like the vibe and music of this place. They have a decent cigar selection. And straightforward selection of booze. Super pluses, they have a great staff who is attentive and works hard. Youll never have to struggle to get a drink or ask for something. Fact they have a DJ in the evening is amazing. Love the music and vibe. If you like cigars it's a fantastic place. If you don't then you're in luck because the ventilation there is pretty good. If you're asthmatic....you will be missed. Only loss of star is the extravagantly high price of cigars. I don't even know if that's their fault to be honest. Cali has high stated taxes around tobacco so maybe that's it. But I noticed a jump in drink prices. I will add it appears there was an upgrade in the humidor as the state of the cigars seemed better (used to seem a bit dry before.) For a small neighborhood bar, club like prices seem unrealistic. At the same time, if you love the place then it's worth a visit. Great staff, cool vibe and mood makes it worth it. Enjoy!

Went with a friend of mine a little out the way. Very welcoming had security outside felt like a club vibe nice music being spun by a dj. Nice walk in humidor the workers were cool friendly staff. Now here is where I give the missing star. They do have a bar only bad thing is that is not a full bar. The strongest thing they had was tequila. Now when I smoke a cigar I want a cognac. The tequila to me was water downed no bite to it. Not smooth bought a double and was disappointed. But I will return to check it out again.

Just want to say absolutely wow , I had so much fun , so I came here on a Sunday like around 7pm and stood all night . It was so much fun. The bartenders where the absolute BEST it was Kirby and Anthony wow they are so professional and so much fun . Love the vibe of this place. They where so amazing . They have two Dj's once the night comes they have a switch and the music gets louder . I had so much fun . Thank you again for such a good time

This place is a great vibe when you want to watch sports games, listen to good music, dancing, and to drink and smoke cigars. The vibe is overall chill & very casual. I did have an issue with one of the servers. Don't recall her table name, but she was short with black long hair & lots of tattoos. First, she has major RBF & a lot of attitude. She had stated that she couldn't take our empty bottles or glasses unless we had opened our tab with her & not the bar. We did end up doing it just so we were able to get the service, but there was absolutely no need for the attitude. Overall she was very "Rude" to us, but other then that it's an awesome bar.

I would not open up a tab. Pay for your drinks as you go. Bartender tried to charge me 90.00 for 3 beers. Called him on it and he made up an excuse of mixing up my last name with another customer. Another thing that makes this place a one star is the volume of the music. You can barely hear yourself think.

I have been coming here for years when Alhambra was the party spot, now its more of a foodie place. Havana has made it through all the closures of other bars or clubs. The music is great, the dj's play great music, the service is speedy and friendly. Overall it is a really fun place to come to and just hangout, the dress code is casual. There is plenty of parking all around the area and i think they play all sports. I am not a fan of the smoking but it is a cigar bar so i know what i am in for when i do go. The security is usually pretty good most of the time, i did have an incident where i was walking to the bathroom and a guy just grabbed me by my arm really hard and pulled towards him just to stop me and talk to me, my boyfriend saw and told the security . I would have expected security to throw the guy out but they didn't , I am guessing he was a regular and they cut him some slack and just told him to calm down and he stood the rest of the night like nothing happened and continuing to drink which is okay at all . I understand bars staff can't control the patrons actions but they can control consequences and I was really disappointed that nothing was done, we left shortly after that ant don't come as often anymore.

Fifth time here and I love coming here with my girlfriend. But I assure you that everyone will agree that the music needs to turn the f#$* down. We're sitting, smoking cigars and trying to conversate. Read the crowd, guys. Again, love it here, but please, everyone is screaming at each other to have a conversation. I promise if you could just do that, you will have a lot of happy customers.

Fun place to hang out, good music , cigars and good bar service ! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a lounge to hang out.

the female bartender there Weds Aug 2nd was irresponsible and needs to have training again on how to recognize customers who are extremely drunk and when to stop serving. my coworker and a few friends were there and she continued to serve him Wednesday night when he was clearly drunk and could barely stand. as a result an ambulance was called for him and he was in the hospital for a couple of days with alcohol poisoning.

Fun small place to go with your friends. Definitely don't recommend buying drinks from the bartender Michelle. She had a nasty attitude, plus she tipped herself a total of $10 for the purchase of 1 drink. She's a scammer. Avoid her.

What a great lounge!! I happen to find this lounge by accident and I'm so glad I did. I will for sure be coming back here more often. All the staff for the waiters to the Security were amazing. What a great establishment. Thank you guys for your service. Made my night for sure!!!!

Stopped by last Sunday night to check out the place. It was a little busy but found a spot at the bar. I got a mojito and a Coors Lite. Drinks were moderately priced. Miss the cigar smell. DJ playing some music. Definitely come back to enjoy some cigars and other drinks.

I would give them 5 stars if I smoked. A few years ago I often bar hopped in Alhambra when my friend at that time was dating one of the regular (drunks) of the bars on Main St. That guy introduced us to Havana House and there I became obsessed with their bay of pigs (their version of a michelada) The music is always great, I love when they play old school music I catch myself singing some tunes. Bay of Pigs!!! has been the only reason why I continue to go back. Ladies and Gentlemen with long hair be prepared to wash your hair at least three times to remove stench (cigar smell). *BTW: Am I do the only one that craves hot cheetos when drinking a bay of pigs?

Service is really good they might be a lil busy sometimes but they will always take care of you , nice place if u wanna have a drink and smoke a cigar or two music vibes are on point

This place never disappoints. So many cigars to choose from for an average price. There's a huge room in the back that you can choose from- highly recommend checking out if you like cigars. Great music and drinks and always a good vibe too.

I like that you can smoke cigars AND drink in the same place...I don't like overpriced cigars JUST because you feel you have a captive audience. Bartender Jessica was very good, attentive and made good drinks...this 3 stars isn't a reflection on her. Cool peeps hanging there too.

My man was the first to take me to this spot and it's now one of my favorites spots because it's so chill and they always play bomb music. It's really rare to go anywhere these days and find a spot that always plays good music. But so far every time I've had the opportunity to come here I have never been disappointed in their Dj who always bumps a little bit of everything that everyone will like. So good that you stay to hear one more song and by the time you realize what time it is the lights go on and it's time to go home. The bartender is very nice and though I did not catch her name she makes really good drinks. One of our favorite is the "Pink Berry Shot" (which she also can make into a drink.) It is a cigar bar so you will see almost everyone smoking but if you want a place to go where they are not strict on the dress code and want to have a fun night out by your self or with friends, you definitely want to check this play out.

I've been going to Havana house for over 15 years. This is one of the best places to grab some drinks and smoke a cigar. All the bartenders are very hospitable, especially Manny who always takes care of his customers. If you are in Alhambra you've got to come to Havana house!

I don't come here often but when I do it is to visit Manny, catch up on life, smoke a cigar to blow off steam. I can't believe he was fired after so many years of hard work. Gonna miss his service and friendly service.

Havana House Cigars & Lounge is lieeees!!! Take the cigars out... If you like loud, crazy bars, come here. If you are cigar aficionado, move along. This is one of the worse cigar lounges ive experienced. Soooo loud! And cigar selection is a complete joke. Its worse than Indian (7-11 type of Indio) owned tobacco shops. Two stars because: 1. Comfirtable chairs, and 2. Behai or Bita. Hot Latina Hostess that made my stay as comforting as possible with great service and smiles. The crowd is diverse. At first, i thought it was a mexican spot however chinos starting migrating in...

The interior of this cigar bar is very spacious and they have big screen televisions to enjoy any popular game that's happening. The only draw back is that I'm not a fan of cigar or cigarette smoke which you will surely inhale if you are inside this lounge.

I've walked by this place countless times but last weekend was the 1st time I have actually gone in. At first, it seems like a chill place to enjoy and cigar and a drink, but as the night went on it got more ratchet and crazy that it was not chill anymore.

Went on a weekday afternoon, so this review is limited to that scenario. Overall, it was a relaxing environment. The bartender was friendly, the drink well made, the music on point and the game on display too. It was also clean. I went to kill some time and do some work on my laptop. It is a cigar lounge and they do allow you to smoke cigarettes indoor, so obviously if you are sensitive to that this is not the place. Parking, however, is tricky. But it is LA and I lucked out on street parking. I would come back if the opportunity arises.

A friend and I used to go there all the time. Few years later I go back and I get kicked out for no reason. Some short, bald, bearded, security guard thought that I was under the influence and kicked me and my cousin out. I had just gotten there! WTF!!?? I didn't even get a drink yet because I didn't argue back for the simple fact I was disappointed at how much it has changed and was disrespected. I don't know what that guy's deal was to kick me out, but that place is not poplin' like it used to! I didn't appreciate being disrespected like that.

We were at the new spot across the street (La Chuperia which was awesome)and decided to head over to Havana. Little did we know those guys were hurting for business. They decide to charge us 50.00 for 15 tacos on taco Tuesday. Hahaha...You do the math. Hahaha. We paid those hyenas off but Bottomline no good service and surprisingly money starving!!! Lets not mention the mediocre tacos and ambiance. Was NOT the best. I'll give them some love and Pray that Friday's are better. ., unfortunately they feel entitled during the week ( which will see them out of business like azul ) Honestly not worth spending a dime with that level of service. Don't get me wrong if your the type that doesn't care about that stuff., this is your spot. Have them treat you like the help is all good I guess ...,unfortunately Not for me! Good luck
