Google
I was just here visiting an old friend and we were lucky enough to stumble across Have a Taco! I wasn't sure what to get but the lovely lady recommended the Pastor Quesadilla and it was SO GOOD! I quickly devoured all of it and would 100% get it again if I were to visit Austin TX in the future.

Nick de la Luz

Google
I work nearby and love to come get lunch and dinner here! Raul and Karen always greet me with a smile. They are fast and friendly, and the pastor tacos are the best in the area! 10/10 I can’t wait to come back!

Madison Rocha

Google
I paid $18 for a quesadilla and the “brisket” was flavorless and looked like ham. Not to mentions my quesadilla came drenched in the juices from the meat. The guacamole was all onion, barley any avocado and forget about salt. I will not be back

Alex Torres

Google
Decided to try out a few trucks today and they ran out of the Loaded queso 😭. I asked them to replace the brisket with chicken and it was WONDERFUL! I will be back!

Caneel Joyce

Google
I had a chicken taco and then a pastor. The first was so good I had to go get a second one! Well constructed and great portion size. Yummy and well balanced. The woman working the food truck was also very sweet and melted cheese on my tortillas for me like I requested. YUM

Isabel Cabello

Google
This food truck seriously delivers! The steak tacos were packed with juicy, perfectly seasoned meat—super flavorful in every bite. And don’t even get me started on the brisket nachos—loaded, smoky, and cheesy in all the right ways. Totally worth hunting down.

Henry Samaniego

Google
I asked for briskets chicken, pastor and steak. All of them are delicious, my favorites were steak and pastors As a taco lover, I recommend here.

Uriah Granados

Google
Great food great people! 10/10 recommend 💗

Yelp
From humble beginnings to great tacos! What started as just a taco stand has evolved into something you have to try. They began by optimizing their original location at Barton Springs and then expanded to Rainey Street and Cedar Park and it just keeps getting better. The NACHOS and QUESADILLAS? Absolutely next level. Top it off with friendly service, free parking at all locations, clean restrooms, and pet-friendly vibes Pro tip: Rainey Street is perfect for those late-night munchies after the party. Give it a chance this spot is definitely worth the hype with a cool customer se

Yelp
Not flavorful at all or very good, skip it please! Three people in our group had it and they were all disappointed :/ The service is not that bad though.

Justin K.

Yelp
What could improve? The taste - very bland , nachos and queso were movie theater quality

Lisa N.

Yelp
Refused to put real cheese on nachos vs canned at cross over location in cedar park. So I took my business elsewhere.
google avatar

John V.

Yelp
I don't know what these people are saying in the bad reviews but the quesadilla ERA PERFECTA! I had the brisket one and it did not disappoint. I had a couple of taco spots in downtown and was definitely looking for authentic tacos/ quesadilla. The salsa and guac was on point Definitivamente un lugar latino!
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Veggie taco is just pico de gallo and gauc What a waste of $5 Try to do a little bit better for people that don't eat meat !
google avatar

Jennie A.

Yelp
They were out of brisket, so we ordered one al pastor and one chicken. Both tacos were underwhelming, lacking in flavor and were served the same way (topped with diced onion and salsa verde with lime wedges). There are far better tacos in Austin and I would not go back.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Fantastic as always! Great tacos and queso! Come every time the kiddos play soccer at the crossover
google avatar

Wraith E.

Yelp
Shame on me for not checking the reviews before I came here. The food is incredibly mid and expensive.. so that makes it much worse imo. My steak quesadilla was terrible and the person I was with got food poisoning from the tacos they bought.
google avatar

Natalie G.

Yelp
I personally am not sure why the reviews are so low?? I ordered the chicken nachos and I personally loved them. My husband and I shared them. They were nothing fancy, but not bad at all! I loved the sweeter chili sauce incorporated into the nachos! Overall, I'd definitely give this place another chance. Service was friendly and quick, too.

Yelp
Wish I could leave a negative review and really wish I would have seen the reviews before ordering. I got the brisket taco and street corn. The brisket was chopped up hotdogs and the street corn was esquite that had been reheated and heated for days! Terrible. I told the two boys working the truck how bad it was and they certainly did not care. I only took one bit of each and they did not offer to refund me. Terrible terrible! Hopefully you're smarter than me and see these reviews!

Tasha B.

Yelp
best damn tacos!!! Javier, Raul and Karen are the amazing. Go there NOW. There customer service is top tier.

Bradley W.

Yelp
Their tacos are the best tacos I've had in Austin. I've been living in Austin for 15 years and they actually care about their customers and are open every day all day until a very, very late. I can't stop coming here. They need a building or something or a restaurant.

Michael T.

Yelp
Portion is not right , customer service was rude when confronted . Sodas were flat and there can sodas

Caroline T.

Yelp
Very no frills and simple, but good food--the street corn, chicken taco and brisket tacos were great. The service was great too.
google avatar

Maya P.

Yelp
Y'all... whew. I hate to give bad reviews, but I just cannot with this place. The queso tastes like it's out of a jar. It was heated in the plastic container which was burning hot, the queso itself wasn't . It's so salty it's nearly inedible. If I didn't have to go on a Segway tour I would not have gotten food here; save your money and go literally anywhere else!
google avatar

Wyatt M.

Yelp
Ordered two chicken tacos, a quesadilla, and a loaded queso. Loaded queso didn't have the pico in it like the menu says, quesadillas had no onion or cilantro, the tacos were okay, but honestly I've had better at other places for cheaper. They don't even taste like they have salt and pepper in their food. This place used to be good, sad it's gone downhill.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty rare for me to have an experience worthy of one star, but I honestly can't think of any redeeming qualities worthy of upping my rating. For a truck to have $5 as the cheapest taco, you would expect them to be fairly sizable and of at least reasonable quality, but Have a Taco managed to limbo well under both of those bars. I went for the red taco and shrimp taco and feel like I would have needed 2-3 more to come close to being full. All the ingredients felt store bought in the worst way, particularly the tortillas tasted like I was getting the last ones from a slightly old package in the back of your cuppboard. The meat quality fit the stereotype of low quality, low flavor, that I used to have for truck food back when I lived in New York. Overall, I highly recommend going for one of the many alternatives available in this food truck park
google avatar

Joyce I.

Yelp
Why did I order before checking yelp?! Not worth the money. $7 for brisket barely any meat and tons of onions $5 for pastor okay flavor but not worth the price. These are $3 tacos at its best. I got more tortilla than anything.
google avatar

LaVonne S.

Yelp
We had the brisket nachos which were flavorful. Brisket was cooked well and it was a large plate of food. Also had the street corn which was awesome! I love good street corn and it was very flavorful to the point of my saying I need to figure out how to make this at home. Cooks had limited English and the person from the next door truck came over to take our orders but she was super friendly too.
google avatar

Kiley K.

Yelp
Not sure why the reviews are so bad. The al pastor taco was pretty good at their location at The Picnic!
google avatar

Lyla A.

Yelp
Very fast and efficient. We needed a place to get our kids a snack and this hit the spot. The tortillas were crisped on the flattop so they didn't fall apart. The kids enjoyed them. The shrimp were those really tiny ones, but for a quick kid snack, it was good.
google avatar

Nikiba J.

Yelp
I visited Have a Taco because I toured a group around Austin, Tx. There was several options of food trucks to choose from so we walked to each truck to view their menus, of course we wanted to use our free food and drink coupon wisely.
google avatar

Raquel L.

Yelp
The pastor taco not our favorite but man that brisket taco was so yummy! Never time we would try flour tortillas instead of corn.
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
This place is terrible. The guacamole isn't fresh, tasted off and store bought with the water based avos (like at Costco) the chicken and carne wasn't seasoned at all. Seriously don't waste your time.
google avatar

Don B.

Yelp
$40 for a quesadilla and 3 tacos. It was my fault my I thought they would be really good. They filled my quesadilla with a ton of unmelted cheese. Gristle in my wife's tacos. Just absolutely garbage. Never going here again.

Tyler F.

Yelp
Mid. $15 bucks for 3 tacos then when I asked for some additional salsa.. they wanted to charge for it. Instead she gave me the hottest salsa they had. Wouldn't go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Like other people, I really wish I had seen reviews of this place *before* I ate there. I tried finding the location on Yelp before we ate based on where it was on the map but that didn't work presumably because they've changed locations once or twice and Yelp has their old location. Anyway, I'll echo all of the other reviews. This place is terrible. Hands down the worst tacos I've had in Austin and it's not even close. Do not waste your time here. Also worth noting that it looks like most, if not all, of the trailers at the 620 location (Four Points) are owned by the same company (Cook a Concept) and based on what we were seeing, the experience you'd probably have with all of the other trailers will end up being the same as Have a Taco. We stopped by three of the Cook a Concept trailers and all of them were out of the majority of what they had on the menu. I should have taken this as a sign and bolted. Went up to the Have a Taco trailer and no one was there. Called a few times and eventually, the guy working there comes out of the vape shop next door (wtf) and serves us. That should have been enough of a warning sign for us. We were in a pinch and needed something quick so we just ran with it. We won't be back to these trailers, let alone Have a Taco. Gross.

Yelp
I ordered 14 tacos , 2 of them were suppose to be for kids . I didn't ask for the hot sauce on top , so when I went and asked if I could get them with out the hot sauce; but the person up front had an attitude. She told me I would have to buy them again because I didn't tell her they were for kids. Second of all , the hot sauce is suppose to be on the side , you can't just add it on for your customers without asking. And they're not Mexican tacos for them to be saying it's Al pastor.
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
We ordered: Shrimp taco- the shrimp tasted raw. Steak taco- did not taste fresh at all we ended up giving to our puppy. Brisket taco- it was ok chips and salsa- they messed up the order and gave us chips and queso and insisted it was salsa. It wasn't good and we didn't finish it. $27 dollars and we could only finish 1 of the 4 tacos
google avatar

Steph H.

Yelp
We were at the picnic & tried 3 different trucks. The taco we had from have a taco was awesome!!! We had the Chicken taco and was soooo yummy! Highly recommend this truck.
google avatar

A L.

Yelp
Street corn NOT roasted. Out of a bag or something. Yuck. And "meh" service. Wish I'd read the reviews first. Waste of money.
google avatar

Keriann P.

Yelp
Wish I could give less than 1 star you should avoid this place like the plague. I informed them of a food allergy and discussed with the cashier what I should get. They then accidentally put a sauce on my tacos I couldn't eat. All of this would have been an understandable mistake - but then they were BELIGERANTE when I informed them of the mistake. They refused to do anything to remedy the issue, yelled at me, and closed up the shop so they wouldn't have to deal with us. Also, several other people in my group did get tacos here and said they were basic and flavorless (and that was before I had issues with my order) We finally got them to refund the tacos but overall a HORRIBLE experience, do not eat here. Period.
google avatar

Melissa A.

Yelp
We ordered 2 brisket nachos and they were absolutely horrible. It hardly had any meat or cheese and it was cold. When my husband explained it to the cashier/cook she shrugged him off like she didn't care. It was so overpriced 12.00 for brisket nachos. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Please do not go here
google avatar

Descee G.

Yelp
If you're reading this it's not too late for you. Please please make another decision. Worst tacos of my life.

Joe C.

Yelp
Perfectly serviceable taco joint. Nothing special. Prices are higher for the quality- I'd rather take smaller bit tastier street tacos

Gabriela M.

Yelp
Very good Tacos! Friendly staff! And was super fast

Alexandra B.

Yelp
Really expensive given the poor quality. Sadly this was a bad taco truck experience. We were all super hungry after a day at Barton Springs and this was an easy food truck stop on the way home. Sadly, I think the reviews are justified. We didn't check out Yelp! before heading here and should have.

Michele G.

Yelp
This Taco truck gives Austin a bad name for Mexican food. Literally every taco place is better than this place. I got chicken nachos. They use canned cheese. Enough said. I should have read the reviews. I brought out of town guests to the Picnic food truck park. The Italian place was not good either. Mistake. I should have read the reviews.
google avatar

Eugene K.

Yelp
Worst place ever. Overpriced. Flavor is absent, miserable ingredients. I paid $20 and ended up in McDonald's to deal with hunger afterwards. Sour cream and pico de gallo were frozen, with ice crystals. No in-house salsas - they offer bottle sauces. For that price tag you get the worst possible food.
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Heeeeeeeeeeck no. This place is disgusting!!!! Got the steak taco for my kid he gagged and spit it out. I then looked and the meat was literally white. Stay afar away!!! What a rip off and when I show them what their food looks like they don't even respond. Just a blank stare like a brainless zombie. Absolute garbage, have no idea how this place is operational.
google avatar

Tim E.

Yelp
Have A Nasty Taco! Well below average flavor. Well above average price. Very quick service for very horrible food.
google avatar

Bradley J.

Yelp
I don't ever write reviews but it's the nicest thing I can do right now. Worst tacos of my life. Don't go. Especially for all the great food in Austin. Disappointed
google avatar

Kyle T.

Yelp
The quality of the taco is worse than Taco Bell. Corn tortillas were a soggy mess. Pastor was mediocre. As for the Red taco I could not even swallow it. Do not recommend.
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
The nastiest tacos I've ever had in my life. Threw up 5 mins after eating the pastor. And $6 each a taco. The meat looked like hot Cheetos. Not to mention the guy working was not friendly at all and kind of rude.

Morgan C.

Yelp
I paid $12 for a COLD quesadilla. I understand that ACL is stressful and hard to make the food as ordered but the quesadilla was trash. Never again.

Maria M.

Yelp
Not a happy customer I want my $21.65 back. The place on Barton Springs Rd is Horrible place to eat. Customer Service is Horrible, I DO NOT want to ever ORDER FOOD FROM you'all. Very, Very Bad Experience today November 10, ,2022

S T.

Yelp
Just had Have a Taco for the second time. I've eaten at the one on Barton Springs, today hit the one on 620 in the food trailer court. Everything was super fresh and delicious, steak tacos on flour my favorite among my favorites here, top notch, quick service!

Carly M.

Yelp
They have two menus on the truck and the one you can see has toppings on everything. The other is plan taco with sauce that's super hot. No cheese no nothing. The meat is nasty. I asked for a refund
