We are probably one of the longest renting tenants at Haven at Avalon. We’ve been here 8years. Obviously we like the apartment and community or we would not still be here. The amenities are great and the staff is responsive to most things, except the noise. We face the green (Regal Theater). The noise of children screaming and running around after 10pm is amazing. We’ve called several times and have written a formal email to management requesting someone be stationed at the green at 10pm to let the families know that the “park” is closed. The website states that “no children under 21 are allowed to be on the green after 10pm.” This is not enforced. The signs down on the green say “no running, no yelling” at any time on the green. This is not enforced. It seems that the people that are contributing the most to Avalon - through rent - should be the people that management would like to keep happy.

This place is a solid 3. I've been living here for the past year, going into my 2nd year of lease. It's good enough to endure some of the most challenging aspects of it vs. the hazzle of moving out, and it's not bad enough that you feel you're wasting your money. What's been good so far: Very pet friendly place: My favorite part to be honest is that there are dogs everywhere, the place is very clean and so are the residents that own pets. You can take them anywhere but the pool and gym which makes sense, and as our dogs are ESAs, we didn't even have to pay the associated pet fees. Competent and very friendly staff: I know some people have complained about the staff here, but I just had great experiences from day 1. Everyone at the leasing office or even management office have great with us, helpful and concerned about your experience and wellbeing. They made our application process easy, and are there every time we have a question that can go from "where's my amazon package" to "I don't understand why I was charged that". Great community events: This is my 2nd apartment community I live in here in Atlanta and honestly so I don't have a lot to compare this experience to, but I have to say I'm blown away by it anyway: there's a bare minimum of 2 events a month, hosted by Haven for all tenants, with a max of 4 that might or might not include guests. From pool parties to chick-fil-a breakfasts, they make sure the experience works for you. What's not working for me: Noise: This is an apartment complex built on top of an open air mall. There will always be noise. Don't fall for their pitch of a "quiet" community. It's not quiet, yet again not terribly noisy. Most of the noise comes from outside, primarily early in the morning as the cleaning crews come with indecently loud leaf blowers (looks like no one knows what a broom is anymore), and well into the night as there are restaurants, a plaza, and a movie theatre so people are ALWAYS there. If you are a light sleeper, this could be a deal breaker for you. Elevators: I am only bringing this up because quite honestly I am surprised both at the fact there's only 2 elevators per building (and each at least 200 yards from each other), and they break often. In the 14 months of being here, the one elevator in our building broke at least 4 times, with the longest period of time being broken at almost a full month. In the summer. Imagine living on a 4th floor and having to use the stairs just because the other elevator is like 150 yards from where you live. Swimming pool: dramatically small for the amount of people that visit in the summer. Not much more to say, but honestly it can get crowded really fast, and they don't clean it every single day. I stopped going. Parking space: now this one vexes me. The cost of living here is not cheap, really not cheap. You get uncovered, unprotected parking at the top deck of a 3 story parking lot. Bottom floor is for people coming to the mall, 2nd floor is for valet parking at the mall, 3rd floor (the only uncovered) is for people paying anything between 25K to 40K a year just to live here. I wouldn't if it wasn't for the fact that my car is either scorching hot in the summer or deadly cold in the winter, and if there is a hail storm or something like that going on I need to go get my car and drive it down to the 1st floor for safety. Aparment quality: Biggest disappointment I had so far was that I expected better quality inside the apartments. There's a suposedly "luxury vinyl floor"...which comes with 2 addendums to your lease that explain 1) you need to add area rugs everywhere so people can't hear you walk, 2) you're liable for damaging the "luxury vinyl", as in be mindful of scratches, don't use any products that make it too wet, etc. Other than this, the living room does not have a ceiling fan for some reason, nor a light for that matter so unless you buy and have them install it for you, your living room will be dark and possibly hot, unless you leave the AC on at all times in the summer.

The whole application process at the Haven leasing office has been a nightmare. The office appeared nice but you would think that a leasing office of this caliber would have employed more competent people. I have dealt with Mr Parker in this process. The information and details given was sub-par. Appears that there is a lack of training. The unit that I was intending to lease was not available until June 9th. Mr Parker had no details of interiors like cabinets or color scheme to share until I questioned him repeatedly. It’s hard to imagine and apply to a unit when there are no pictures, video or alike to have an idea of what it looks like other than the drawing/measurements. A simple picture taking before the units were leased to show the applicants would have shown a prepared and professional leasing office. Mr Parker completely omitted that all paperwork had to be submitted with 48 hours. As my application was on a Friday afternoon, this made it impossible to get bank statements. He also conveniently kept the extra $395 administrative fee (in addition to the $125 application fee) because at that point it was over 72 from the time I applied. When I called to share my disappointment about their outsourced third party as well as the misinformation, Mr Parker asked me if I’d like to continue or withdraw the application, how convenient to not let the application decline and refund the $395. Very deceitful and wrong. The company they use to verify paperwork is called Approveshield, located in the Philippines. They are completely unskillful and unprofessional. After sending all paperwork they requested in PDF form they said that they received only a few because it’s a general mailbox that many have access to. So back to the drawing board with a direct email address. After numerous phone calls and many more emails the conversation turned insulting because of incompetency.

I recently toured Haven and I must say, it was the most amazing experience I've ever had in my entire touring life! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The staff were simply amazing, especially Gina and Aya. They were the friendliest and most professional individuals I have ever met, providing exceptional customer service throughout my visit. They answered all my questions with such expertise and enthusiasm. Their warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home, and their dedication to their work truly stands out. The property itself is incredibly up-to-date and impeccably maintained. Every corner of the place exudes quality and care, reflecting the high standards upheld by the management. Spending an hour touring this property was absolutely worth it, and I would move in there without a second thought. If you're looking for a place that combines outstanding service with top-notch living conditions, this property is the perfect choice. Thank you, Gina and Aya, for making this tour an unforgettable experience!

If you’re a light sleeper, this place isn’t for you. Music from the downstairs strip mall has been playing all night long for several days, even after complaints, and it continues into the following nights. On top of that, the morning noise is relentless, with a blower starting early in the morning . It’s enough to drive anyone crazy. Even on regular nights, you’ll often hear people laughing and singing outside the windows after midnight. When it comes to non-urgent maintenance, expect long delays—it can take days or even months to get anything fixed or replaced, whether it’s an issue with the building or your room. While the location is convenient for shopping , it’s definitely not a place to live.

Lived here for 13 months - not worth it. So loud EVERY SINGLE morning, the hot water lasts 15 mins in winter and 18 mins in summer (yes I have timed it multiple times), there is one elevator in each building. I don’t even use it bc it takes forever and it’s faster to just take the stairs. The keypad button to open the gate doesn’t work half the time, the pool is miniature - you literally cant even swim in it. I can probably go on and on. The apartment is not luxury at any level. The appliances here are just basic - they’re nice but literally every apartment made after 2012 has the same exact appliances and this apartment is no different. I’m confused where the luxury comes in. So over priced it’s ridiculous. Anyway, had fun living here only bc the shopping and the Avalon in general but definitely not worth it. If you sleep past 6-7am you will for sure regret your decision.

Google
The best property ever! I am pleased that is continuously improving and becoming luxurious. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to live in a resort type of a property. I like the new renovation.

My experience with this luxury apartment community has been nothing short of extraordinary! The staff's professionalism, respect, and friendliness made the entire process seamless and wonderfully pleasant. They consistently went above and beyond to address all my questions and concerns, making me feel immediately at home. The apartments themselves are stunning, and the community exudes elegance and comfort. This place truly feels like a sanctuary!

Yelp
Not worth the price. The management is okay - they answer phone calls and emails about 40% of the time. I gave up contacting them and I've only lived here like 3 months. They are pretty good at addressing maintenance issues though, in my experience. Here's the best part: the leaf blowers wake you up at 7:45 am 5-6 times a week. If not that, then the trash pick up will. Everything in this apartment is so cheaply made. The window glass is so thin - you can hear people just talk from the sidewalk. The video below is what every morning sounds like. Our windows are closed and we live on the third floor. The leaf blowers are there until 10am-11am. If you value your sleep just don't move here. This was never mentioned to us btw. I get it's normal once a week but 5-6 times for 2-3hrs is just outrageous and should be mentioned to the residents before signing the lease. Their amenities are about 100$. This includes their terrible internet - if you work from home you will need to pay extra to get internet that actually works. It also includes cable, and valet trash. The valet trash also doesn't pick up sometimes. Basically the amenities are mediocre at best. We pay about 2400$ for 1 bed + amenities, not including the extra $60 we pay for the internet. The only good thing about this apartment is the location. I also noticed that some of the 5 star reviews are from people that work here oml

Yelp
This community is so refreshing. The convenience is close to none. The front office team is responsive and friendly. The rooftop salt water pool is a personal favorite.

Yelp
Everyone thinks that it's so wonderful to live here however I will enlighten you a little bit since I do. Haven apts. is a nightmare! Yes, Avalon is wonderful to come and visit I did it for years but now unfortunately I live here and what I thought this place was and what it is are two completely different things. Monday through Sunday you are woken up and go to sleep with noise noise noise and there's lots of it. Now, I'm not talking about the noise you hear from music and people from Avalon itself, that's just fine. It's the constant noise cleaning this place up daily. I can promise you you will be woken up by something other than an alarm or naturally every single day whether it be pressure washers, blowers, trucks horns, back up beeper's, maintenance blowing, vacuuming etc. Sorry but it's endless. And if you disregard all of that and then come to my individual apartment which is on the fourth floor. I have been complaining about a vibrating noise coming from both the roof and an accessory closet since the day I moved in. I asked for a quiet apartment since I work from home and let me tell you I got anything but a quiet apartment. Not everyone has the same issues I do because they don't have these accessory closets or improperly installed air conditioning/heating units on the roof. However with the number of issues this particular apartment has management should have moved me along time ago to an acceptable and livable dwelling, they still haven't. My suggestion as a real estate agent - look and rent elsewhere.

Yelp
The staff at Haven is excellent! Everybody is very friendly, professional and efficient. They go above and beyond to help in anyway they can. Hector Salgado is amazing, as a Service Maintenance Technician Thank you, Haven, for making my apartment living a peaceful and positive exoerience

Yelp
Great place to live! The management is so kind and sweet. Nadine is the absolute best!

Marianne W.

Yelp
Collin was the most professional leasing agent I have ever encountered. He was honest, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The property is beautiful and well taken care of. The apartments are very spacious and well maintained. I really feel like home here.

Kenneth M.

Yelp
This place is awesome! I've recently moved from California and have been extremely impressed by the the incredible staff, beautiful property, and great community and events. If you want to move in here ask for Madi Bowser. She was my leasing agent and went above and beyond to make sure my move in was perfect. You will definitely not be disappointed! Most of the bad reviews on here are people who probably created Yelp accounts because they wanted to write about a one-off bad experience, or someone just hurt them in life. So at the very least tour it and let the experience speak for itself!

Caroline Y.

Yelp
They are scam who will ask you to pay for the admin and application fee without even showing the contract agreement to you. Stay away from the management and Kendall Parker. They will call you to say someone else is trying to book the unit that you're interested in and they will somehow fake sign the contract so that you don't get to see the contract agreement. After your bank account is charged, they will say " they cannot do anything about it ", they wont even respond. Stay away from Kendall Parker

Yelp
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS REALLY LIKE TO LIVE HERE PLEASE READ: We lived in the Haven for 4 years and really enjoyed the first two and a half years when the original ownership and management was still managing the property. Unfortunately the last year and a half were AWFUL and we were forced to break our lease and move out early! The new ownership and management do not care about the residents the security or cleanliness of the apartments or amenities. The hallways are disgustingly dirty with dog urine and poop spots that never get cleaned for months. The security doors are ALWAYS broken so you will have random people accessing the apartments and amenities, you will see random drunk strangers walking the hallways and in the gym and pool area, the Avalon "security" is a joke it's a collection of fat useless teenagers playing cop that can't and won't do anything that requires effort. The parking deck is not secure either so there are random people breaking into cars and taking selfies while sitting on the hood of your car. The amenities break quite a bit and take forever to get fixed. There are now aggressive pitbulls being allowed to live in the apartments because they are "support" animals and we were attacked several times by them while walking around. If you enjoy sleeping past 7am on weekdays or weekends you won't get that luxury either because of the garbage pick up and gas leaf blowers that start bright and early each and every day and combine that with the random drunk people screaming and hollaring until all hours of the night. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Sarah A.

Yelp
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN- Edit: I have contacted them on multiple occasions by email to have written verification and they have NOT replied. Don't believe their bs answer to this post. I was blinded by the positively reviews when I rented this place and I should have read the others!! I was never shown any amenities when I rented here, I wasn't even given a card to the gym or pool, half of my amazon packages "disappeared" there would be random people calling me from the callbox at all hours, security was scarce, but worst of all they scam you into contracts. I have a copy of my lease and no where on it did a sign a section they apparently have my signature on. So now, I broke my lease 2 months early and they are trying to charge me $4,500 FOR SOMEWHERE I DONT EVEN LIVE ANYMORE and where I was paying only $1600/month to begin with!!!! When I went to break my lease I was given a written declaration of what I was required to pay- I had to give 60 days notice and pay for the 20 days I wasn't living there, then pay an additional months rent. Well, AFTER I moved out, they decide to "check my contract" and have me pay an additional months rent I got as a bonus when I signed.... I am 100% positive they did this maliciously as I had to pay more for breaking my lease then I would have if I just stayed in the stupid place- and they knew if they told me this ahead of time I would have kept renting and they wouldn't have been able to jack up the price of my unit $1,000/month for the next poor soul. Human decency is gone if you rent here- they don't give a crap how much you pay, how kind you are, how well you maintained the property, they still just want to rip you off. I would recommend living in downtown Alpharetta over this hellhole any day.

Wendy R.

Yelp
My family and I have lived her for almost year and we absolutely love it here. Its a beautiful well maintained building. There is a great sense of community here. It seems like once a month there is BBQ's for the whole community put on by some of the nicest neighbors I've ever had! The management team has become like an extended family. Beth and Traci are always stopping us to make sure everything is okay. They are always doing something nice for the tenants, as well. For example - nacho night, ice cream socials, pool parties, etc. This morning they handed out Chick fila breakfast as everyone left to work. GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!

Yelp
Grossly overpriced apartments that will do nothing for the neighborhood but create a constant in/out stream of people. The smallest units average around $1800/month which is right around Washington, DC pricing. On top of that, you get a cheap piece of shit refrigerator and appliances. As previously mentioned by the manager, that apartments include gigabit internet, that is patently false. Unless she considers 50 Mbps gigabit. While a nice perk, 50 Mbps is far, far away from 1000 Mbps for free. While the lifestyle you'd live would be isolated to this tiny new development, it does come with the peace of mind of being about an hour from the city (two hours with traffic) which can also aggravate someone when considering that a residence of similar size wouldn't even cost this much in Buckhead! And if you think I'm kidding, compare this place to Camden Paces. Hahaha!!!! Nonsense. Don't rent here and let them bring their prices back down to reality. On average, the smaller units are overpriced by about $350/month. Also, don't give in to the nonsense pricing scheme that a lot of landlords now opt for. Pricing that changes each day and also dictates your renewal rate is not just nonsensical, it's also a ripoff. And we wonder why a recent study says 47% of Americans spend all or more of their monthly income just to pay the bills? It's because housing is so ridiculously overpriced.

Yelp
This place is gorgeous, and so convenient to so many things, including my work. I took a tour of a few apartments, with serious intentions of moving in. Then I was told the price of rent...is that in Pesos? That can't be real. I'll keep looking.

Beau M.

Yelp
I've lived at The Haven at Avalon for about six months. Some of the reviews had me reluctant to live here but I'm so glad I ignored those negative reviews!! I'm in real estate and I'm very observant of build quality, quality of maintenence, and quality of the property management staff. The Haven gets 5 stars in all of these areas! The staff has been ultra responsive and extremely professional. I truly don't understand the negative reviews! You get to tour the model that is just like the apartment that you get so there are no surprises! I don't understand complaining about build quality when you saw the quality before you signed the lease. Maybe it's because of the location of my unit but I don't have any issues with noise. Again during the tour it is evident that this is a mixed use development with retail stores, restaurants, a movie theater, and a grocery store. I think it goes to reason that there will be deliveries and some noise! Occasionally I'll hear my neighbor above me walking but that's to be expected. If you want to live in a very nice community enjoy excellent customer service and have access to great amenities then I wouldn't hesitate to call The Haven home!

Yelp
Current resident.... extremely noisy in the mornings starting at 7:00 AM....including weekends. Management doesn't care about the residents issues and violates city ordinance continually. Leasing staff censors the community bulletin board to remove negative feedback. Due to high occupancy rates they clearly hold the upper hand and don't really care what the residents have to say.

Katie P.

Yelp
I have had nothing but the best experience living here. I worked with Kendall Parker and she was absolutely the best. She did everything that she could to accommodate my move here. If you work with Kendall or Nadine, you will get the most professional yet friendly experience. You can't go wrong with either of these ladies. The management has been extremely helpful and kind. The Haven is the best place if you are looking to live in an area that offers several activities.

P S.

Yelp
Lived here for 2 years and just renewed for a 3rd. Great place to live, by far the best apartment complex I've lived in.

Yelp
I have read the reviews above and while I do not agree completely with both the reviewers, there is some truth. Not being from the area I can only comment on what internet research has taught me. My husband and I are moving to Atlanta this summer and were extremely excited to learn about Haven at Avalon; it seems everything was thought out with precision, passion and elegance at the forefront. We were ready to contact someone and place a deposit over the internet based on what we saw in the promotional videos and website. Then my husband made an offhand comment about vacancy. Upon some research on craigslist, zillow, mls and other websites, we could not find a price within a thousand dollars of the rates Haven is charging. Granted, the comparable properties were not as nice or new, however they were larger. The pricing model makes little to no sense. We are firm believers in you get what you pay for; but understand this; a fool and his money are quick to part. While we love the Haven and think that the planning and execution was on point, someone must have significantly dropped the ball when it came to pricing. If we are off base and do not understand Ga. rental pricing, we are open to a lesson, however it may be an uphill battle. Regardless, we are moving to Atlanta this summer with a new job that my husband got and hope that we can find something similar in features. Anything else out there like it????? We really like the 2 bed, 2 bath; is $2400 reasonable?? What should we budget for? We would like something new with upscaled amenities, close to shopping and a nice lifestyle. People who have been to Avalon, what is it like? Just another outdoor shopping centre or does it have the fairy dust that they claim it has? Thanks

Sonya H.

Yelp
If i could leave no star I would . We are a short term lease . We are building and our home wasn't ready when we sold our home . The leasing agent Royce was great when i signed the lease but he got transferred and now I have had to deal with the lady with a horrible attitude in the office . You would think if your paying 3500.00 a month rent that at least she could fake being nice. I pay for two reserved spots near our building door. While on vacation they towed one of my cars from its reserved spots to another spot so they could work on the building . No notice , no phone call , nothing . It's a 6 speed roadster . Think that's ok ? Can't get out of this place fast enough ... veranda is ran better . Do not rent at Haven ....

Yelp
The location is great, the quality of apartments is good too. And we love living here - when the elevator is not breaking down. Some genius thought one elevator per building is fine (and that is PER GEORGIA CODE , the lame excuse made by the Apartment General Manager) and in the past couple of months the elevator has broken down several times. Two weeks back it was down for 5 days... Because it took that long to get a part to Alpharetta, GA... An urban, affluent suburb of Atlanta - not a rural area in the middle of nowhere! Unless this place gets a backup elevator, you don't want to be living here. The staircase can get slippery with rain and there's nothing more 'fun' than having to run up and down the stairs with grocery, luggage or worse - an injury. A call to the management office will just get you excuses - no reimbursement, and hard-to-come-by non-apologies. If this is what you dream your grossly expensive apartment living to be like, sure this is the place for you. Edit : It's been more than 24 hours and we received an 'update' only late evening yesterday. And it was pretty much 'we're working on it' kinda update. Now, I called the management and they believe they're doing a stellar job .... and are not ashamed to say so, although, the elevator might get fixed only by end of day tomorrow and even that's not a given at this point. So, it'll be 3 whole days this time... So, in the past 2 weeks or so, the elevator would have been down for 8 days! And the Management thinks that that is not just acceptable, but also that they should actually get a pat on the back for that.

Yelp
For the life of me, I cannot understand how someone in Miami has such a strong opinion of a neighborhood in Alpharetta, Georgia? And since I am a resident here- I know you are not. That being said, yes they are expensive. You are paying for a lifestyle. I love the convenience of having all amenities at my doorstep without ever having to get into my car and drive. I love the service and the security that I receive. Not to mention the amazing group of neighbors that have come together to form a close knit community. You get what you pay for.

CP W.

Yelp
I was truly hoping I would be able to update my previous reviews and include some positive things about how the situation ended with the mold growth and damage to our belongings. But we are still getting the run around from the Haven leasing office. They wont return our inquiries about the deposit of ours that they kept illegally. Be careful with Haven at Avalon, you might get screwed royally. We have lost over $20,000 due to their policies and practices. Its just not right!

Yelp
I broke my AMLI lease just to come here in June. For a month, I paid double rent. I have NEVER been happier. The elevators can be a bit hot...for a moment's ride. They can be a bit slow, but, most of the time, I ride them alone. The security is amazing. There were break ins at my nice AMLI apartment: two nights before I left, I came home to see someone who turned out to be the lookout, shining a flashlight in the bushes in front of my window. He had a good story that he was looking for his car keys that a girl had thrown there...two hours before....but, the next day, we got the notice that there was a break in fifteen minutes after my encounter. I'd met the lookout! My last night there, I slept at my daughter's house. Here, I feel totally safe. There are security guards all over the place! I have neighbors but rarely hear a peep from them while I'm at home. The rooftop saltwater pool is amazing. The music that's played there sounds best in the underwater speakers. The furniture up there is so fancy, like a resort. If I want, I can order Goldberg's and they will deliver it up to the pool. I have everything nearby. I don't have to use my car if I don't want to. Yesterday, I walked with my cart to Whole Foods. Sometimes I get my dinner there. It's like having a private chef, but I don't have to tip him. I get in all my veggies, too, easily, so my place comes with a chef! I spend less money on groceries, over all. I'm cooking for one. No waste to throw out. I can eat in a restaurant and take leftovers home! When my grandkids come over, they love it. Grandma has cookies and gelato downstairs, a movie theater and the Plaza to play in with their bubble guns. If they come on Tuesday mornings in the summer, they can eat for free at Goldberg's with each paid adult. My kids can drop the kids off, then go enjoy Avalon for the evening. They are just a text away if problems occur. The kids and I have a blast! I can put my garbage outside my door in my can and it will be picked up. I am right over the Plaza, so, when they have a concert in the summer, I just open up my french doors and pull up a chair to be a part of it. (I have a one bedroom with no balcony.) I stay cool and have access to drinks and a restroom. I can look down at the Plaza and decide if I want to attend stuff...or not. It is expensive, but, when I see all that comes with it, It seems like a bargain to me. When I wanted to enjoy a pretty day at my other apartment, I could walk out of my door and be in the parking lot. Here, I can stroll the neighborhood. There's little traffic. I moved here so I could wait for my condo to be completed. Now I struggle with wondering if, when the time comes, I will be able to tear myself away from it. As a widow, I have plenty of people to talk with, in Haven and in the Avalon stores. There's always something special going on around here. Every day here feels like I live in DisneyWorld. Haven has thought of everything. I'm still being surprised by all the things they thought of! The biggest secret about Haven at Avalon is this: if you knew the 'extras' you get in your lifestyle, you'd find a way to shell out the money and you'd think it was more than worth it. I learned the hard way: life is unpredictable. It can be shorter than you think. Live your life to the fullest with no regrets. In the end, you don't regret what you did. You regret what you didn't do. Haven at Avalon was one of the best decisions I ever made. My kids look after me with eagle eyes! When I broke my lease, they thought I'd lost my mind! They were thrifty and skeptical at first, but now are now in TOTAL agreement. They want to move here, themselves! Phase two of my life has arrived, and it is unimaginably magical.

Yelp
Walked in excited about inquiring about these nice apartments. Walked out disappointed, because I can't justify paying $1800 minimum for a small (800sq/ft) apartment.

Yelp
We have lived here for over 10 months now and absolutely love the place. Its a great experience to live within shopping & dining of Avalon. Gym and pool area is above average, the resort like feel of the place is a plus. The staffs are very professional (specially thanks to Beth & Tiffany) and they routinely host tenant appreciation event (taco nights & chick fill a breakfast are big hit!). I would recommend haven at Avalon.

Yelp
Great property with great amenities along with social neighbors and the Avalon make this place awesome. But, the management is even better. The support staff and maintenance are quickly on any item. Beth the manager rocks !!

Yelp
I have been living here for 6 months and it has been the biggest mistake of my life. You would think that for $5300 a month you would be living in a high end complex. The hallways are hot, musty, badly maintained and smelly. The unit it self is cheaply constructed using low quality materials such as vinyl flooring that is very badly installed. Teeny tiny cheap apartment size fridge and cheap rental washer and dryer. You would expect high quality materials for such an expensive unit. When you first walk in the units are aesthetically pleasing until your living in one and realize that what you were looking at is cheap material that just looks good. This is just a review of the unit and apartments it self. I don't even want to get in to the amenities and leasing. My advise TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE HAVEN AT AVALON IS NOT WORTH IT!!! Luckily they have an easy early lease termination policy which I will be taking advantage of even if it will cost a pretty penny. You can find so much better for that kind of money. Oh and the Veranda units are the exact same thing.

Yelp
I currently live at Haven at Avalon and I absolutely love it! Everything is so convenient and there's always something to do. The have Yoga in the Park, weekly Friday concerts, seasonal events, and resident mixers. I feel very safe with security being in property and they even make security rounds throughout the building. The management staff has been exceptional and to be honest this is the best apartment I've lived in. I'd describe it as understated elegance. It doesn't scream opulence but definitely a nice apartment. As far as noise etc I haven't had any issues whatsoever. My only caution is that your dining bill will definitely go up living here there are just too many good restaurants.

Yelp
I walked into Haven at Avalon ...waiting all week to take a peek and find a home....and realized that they require an appt. on Sundays.....not on the website, only listed on the door to the office itself....but went in anyway...Amanda greeted me and she took all the time in the world to ensure I had every question answered and just went above and way beyond....cant say that about other apartment communities. I haven't located the unit I want yet and will still be searching but when you meet an individual like Amanda in a world where NO ONE takes the time to treat a customer like a customer ....well I thought people should know.

Yelp
Not a bad place to live. Definitely pricey, but you are paying for the location and not the size of the unit or its amenities. The pools are a nice place to relax, and the fitness room is decent quality for your typical apartment complex. The biggest down sides to living there were (a) how noisy it gets at nights, weekends, and holidays (ie lots of car alarms going off and valet guys running around) and (b) the parking deck situation is awful. The parking isn't covered, you have to walk about 25-50 yards to get to a covered portion, and then you have to enter 3 separate keypad-protected doors to get to your apartment. It's definitely a pain to carry groceries through that gauntlet when it's raining. That being said, the leasing staff seemed nice and the place is in the middle of the action. If you want a nice place surrounding by decent neighbors that is stumbling distance to some great shops and restaurants, this is your place. If you want peace and quiet and more square footage for the money, this probably isn't the best place for you.

Yelp
My daughter was there for about 10 months and it was a terrible experience - for her. The walls to the apartments are paper thin. The next door neighbor called security on her practically every weekend. And the calls were like 10pm on a Friday night. She would be sitting on her porch w/ one other friend - talking. Every morning at 6am the neighbors above her had a dog - that was super excited to be going for a morning walk. She could hear the dog running all around. She never called security on the dog. They charged her 30/mo for her cat - as rent. When she paid to get out of the lease, they kept the cat fee on the buy out charge - and the trash - even though she was gone for almost 2 months. Her mortgage for a 3BR house walkable to downtown Roswell and the restaurants on Canton is almost 400/month less. People were always complaining about something & the average age is probably 40. As a young professional, there have to be better places to stay.
