Exactly what we were looking for in Connecticut pizza. Great atmosphere, warm and inviting staff, and outstanding food. If they have them, make sure to get the zucchini chips. We had the meat lovers pizza. So good.

Went here for the first time based on this place winning best pizzeria in the area. I can honestly say this was the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. Now it was 4th of July weekend, and because of that, the service was very slow, but that can be expected, so no big deal. But I can overlook that for good food. I ordered a gluten free pizza (I have a wheat allergy) and my husband ordered a regular pizza. When our food finally arrived, my pizza just looked unappetizing. But looks can be deceiving, so I gave it a chance. It made me gag from the first bite. It was somehow undercooked, with cold sauce and congealed cheese. Now, before people say no gluten free pizza is good, I have had many very good gluten free pizzas in the area. Luna Pizza in Naugatuck and Modern in New Haven for example. But this was inedible. I took a few more bites just to see if I was not giving it a chance, but no. It was vile. My husband said his pizza was ok, but I had him take a bite of mine just to make sure it wasn’t just me. He took a bite and also gagged. School lunch pizzas tasted better than this. When the waitress asked how our food was, we let her know that the pizza was inedible. She just said “oh, it’s the gluten free crust.” Ok, then why was the tasteless sauce and congealed cheese bad as well? We had to have her take the entire pizza away, because this is something I wouldn’t have even fed to my dogs. We reiterated a second time, that my pizza was inedible. She said sorry and we were still charged for food that neither of us could eat. I’m not one to ask for a refund on something I don’t like, I’ll usually chalk it up to it was to my preference. This was just inedible. But glad I got to pay for inedible garbage. Again, my husband said his pizza was okay, but we will never be returning here. I don’t know if they were having an off day, but serving what seemed to be microwaved pizza to people is inexcusable.

I am so surprised I haven’t heard of this spot earlier. The second I entered I was greeted with a smile and the most welcoming energy. The interior is elevated casual, with a beautiful bar completed with televisions on one side, and family style seating on the other. The menu offers drool worthy Italian food, especially on their specials list. Both of my entrees, the burrata rigatoni and prosciutto panuozzo (my absolute favorite ever — the chicken cutlet was amazing), are specials. I also had to try their pizza which was equally delicious. I am already looking forward to going back.

As big fans of Pizzeria Napoletana, we were beyond excited when we learned that it was reopening as “Haven” from the son of the original owners. They did some remodeling since we had last been in there, and it looked really nice! The wings and pizza were just as we remembered them. For now they’re only offering small pizzas as they adjust to being open again, but will be offering larges soon. The crust was thin and crispy, and each pizza was delicious. I especially liked the asparagus and onion which I don’t remember being on their previous menu! There were quite a few non-pizza menu items that I’d like to come back and try. The mozzarella in the fried mozzarella was so fresh, and the baked wings were crispy with plenty of meat on the bones. They were super busy tonight and had a few kinks to work out in terms of the service, but I’m sure that will improve as they go and the staff was very sweet and accommodating. I’m so, so happy to have this spot back!!

Heard so many good things about this place and they didn't disappoint! Loved everything about - the restaurant itself is very nice inside, service was great and the pizza was excellent! They have a nice small bar area for beer and wine. Can't wait until they get their full liquor license in Spring of 2025. I would definitely check out this hidden gem in Prospect!

1st time here, salad was great , I had the burger, really didn't like much on menu, my bf had salad and build your own pizza he said it was OK, it was paper thin falling apart and very burned all around. From the time our food hit the table we never saw our server till 10 minutes after we were done eating, they never came over to see if everything was OK, nothing . The place was almost completely empty at 6:45pm

If you're searching for an exceptional dining experience in Prospect, CT, look no further than this high-end pizza shop. From the moment we arrived, our party of six was seated quickly, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at this high-end pizza shop. The combination of delicious food, prompt service, and a welcoming atmosphere made it a memorable night out. I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for top-notch pizza and more. Google
Little on the pricey side. Cost vs portion ratio is a little questionable. Two people with one app, 2 pizzas (one size only) and one glass of wine was $65.00+. Food was good, but I be had better for less.

Yelp
My dad saw this was in Connecticut magazine and really wanted to try it, so we went on Thursday. We were very pleasantly surprised to say the least. The atmosphere was very cozy and well decorated, the service was great, and the food was outstanding. The bread with a garlic oil dip that they served was so fresh and delicious. We got fried calamari and Caesar salad to start. The only complaint I have about the Caesar salad is that it didn't come pre-tossed, so it was a bit messy to eat. The calamari was probably the best I've ever had and it even had fried cherry peppers in it (my favorite part). We got the Sweet and Spicy pizza, which was really tasty and had a nice subtle kick to it. I'm glad the pizza was very thin, that's the best way to make it! The portions are very generous. If it weren't 30 minutes away, I'd be going all the time! I will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Despite all of the amazing reviews I've seen online, I thought the food was average. My friend and I agreed that everything tasted a bit too light and underseasoned. The textures of the arancini and pizza were both good, though. This is a thin crust pizza, and it has a nice crisp. The service was attentive, which I appreciate, and I loved the atmosphere of the interior from the lights on the tables to the displays of wine and the walking tour videos playing on the TV. I'm not sure I would come back because I didn't think the food was anything outstanding, but it did feel like a nice spot to grab food with a friend.

Yelp
Haven pizzeria's pizza is pretty much a well done neapolitan. The crust is charred to perfection, plus it's crispy, and tastes rather buttery too. Haven definitely gets kudos for that. As for the negatives: the sausage tastes more like hamburger, the pizza was slighty over salted, and the pecorino romano was a bit strong, but the positives definitely out weigh the negatives. With that said, the pizza was good and it definitely gives Frank Pepe's a run for its money. That's a review.

Yelp
Great pizza, affordable, large wine selection. Friendly and attentive staff, cute space great for takeout.

Yelp
Their rip on VR's Mother Chips were overfried, slightly burned. The calamare was also overfried. Red pie (eggplant and bacon) was just Ok, the shrimp scampi pie was good (needed more garlic) but cooked well. I think Luna's has better red pies because their tomato sauce is straight up better. Will give another try in a few weeks.

Yelp
Disappointed with the pizza...Lunas (wood fire), Anna's, Giuseppe's all offer large size pizza verses "only small" size at Haven. Prices seem inflated too. Two pies for $33 - no thank you. Pepperoni was burnt, crust was soggy. Ambience of the restaurant seemed nice and they have a decent bar too.

Yelp
The pizza at Haven pizzeria is amazing. I went there Saturday. They use a great pizza sauce, the mozzarella cheese is very neutral tasting and the dough and crust are crunchy. Haven pizzeria also uses the best wood fired oven I've seen. The only thing, I hope they start making medium size or large size pies.

Yelp
We started off with some apps and drinks. Both were great. We ordered a cheese special that was delicious. Pizzas were awesome as well. Place is well decorated and super clean. The wait staff was amazing. The chef came out after dinner to ask how everything was and even bought the table dessert. A great restaurant and a classy staff. I definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Haven pizza is exactly that. It is a delicious New Haven style pizza. Consistently good every time we go. The garlic knots pictured are also really good!

Yelp
We walked to have a meal and we were asked "do you have a reservation?". We did not. Half the restaurant was empty and they had ample staff handling customers. So we waited approximately 10 minutes and they did not acknowledge us or attempt to seat us. There was no reason to have us stand and wait while other customers were coming in and getting helped.

Yelp
Very good Neapolitan wood fired pizzas here, solid 4.25 stars. Great desserts too. We have been to Haven's in Prospect twice, and are happy we don't have to drive to the City of New Haven for excellent pizza anymore. Love the ambience and 4-star service here too.
