Hawaii Ramen Noodle & Poke Bowl

RESPONDING TO OWNER: In a situation like this why wouldn’t management be called? The women did not apologize She immediately was defensive and said no one there had gum or was chewing gum. She instead tried to insist it was the person who picked up the order( I picked up my own order) She took no ACCOUNTABILITY nor was she APOLOGETIC. As we went back-and-forth a man came in and he apologized, saying that he will check the cameras to see what happened. I told him THANK YOU for trying to look instead of dismissing me like she was. Then she tried to offer to remake the edamame. I told her I didn’t trust the establishment and then she offered to give me a four dollar refund not even for the entire $40. I spent so of course I “refused” a $4 refund. I told her to just take accountability for what I experienced. I appreciate your reply and I hope the promise of better training on your staff is fulfilled. I’ve eaten at Hawaii Ramen Poke Bowl several times and usually enjoy their food, but this experience was honestly disgusting. I ordered edamame to go and when I got home, I found CHEWED GUM mixed in with it. 🤢 I went back to tell the manager, but she dismissed it and said no one there had gum, which felt dismissive instead of concerned. There was no real apology or accountability, just an offer to “remake” the edamame. That response was really disappointing given how serious it is to find something like that in food. Just sharing my experience so others are aware — eat at your own risk.

Food was delicious, the shrimp was the best. I am very picky and I loved it. And the guy at the register was very very nice. Highly recommend.

The staff is very nice, welcoming and helpful. Love the food and the teas are delicious. Its one of our favorite spots to go when we're in Abilene.

Didn't expect much on arrival but pleasantly suprised. Food was delicious and filling. Man serving was friendly. "See you next year" he says.

Holy Mackerel, found this place by accident!! I had the Cajun Raman noodles and Dumplings and the Brown Sugar Tea 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Spectacular... I Will come back and try the Poke Bowls..

The spicy pork broth in the ramen is very rich and delicious. The gentleman working the counter was very friendly as well.

Hidden Gem Abilene! We ordered the Cajun Ramen Bowl and it was the best we have ever had! The staff was friendly. Very clean eating area. BOBA tea was delicious

Leaving a review because my picky daughter loved their noodles. She grew up in Japan and won't eat just any ramen.

I had the poke bowl with white rice, salmon, cucumbers, spicy mayo, edamame, and crab meat. The rice was hard and probably old. I will probably give it another try one day, maybe with different rice!

Absolutely fantastic service! We were driving through and last minute I wanted ramen . We were in the road so we had to eat It there. They were closing up but they allowed us to stay and eat so sweet and kind of them! I had the spicy medium level ramen and It definitely kick punched my throat lol but It was so very good! Large servings and great pricing!

My daughter and I are in town for the day and found this place on Yelp. It's a little hidden gem and we loved everything about it. The service was excellent, wait wasn't long and our food was hot. Highly recommend.

This is the second time I have visited Abilene and I specifically returned to Hawaii Ramen to sit and eat. The food is always so fresh and delicious. Food comes out very quick and it always hits the spot!

Stopped here for lunch, just in the area for a couple days, so wanted something with rice. This place also has good reviews. I ordered a poke bowl. The rice was terrible. For sure it's days old. It was almost mushy. There was actually more rice than anything. I scooped all the toppings off the rice. It was a waste of my 20 minutes round trip driving there and back only to be disappointed with the quality and price I paid for a poke bowl.

The food was so good here! I got the ramen, I don't know which one it was, but it was the one that had pork, egg, bamboo shoots, seaweed and a brown broth. It tasted so good and I enjoyed every last bite! I also got egg rolls. They were really good too! The orange colored sauce that came with them was really flavorful as well. It was my first time there and I'll for sure be back. Also, the staff were very friendly and service was excellent!

I usually don't rate anything but this hole in wall place is so good! We tried everything and I couldn't stop eating! The only thing that needs updating is the place, floors were sticky and restrooms weren't very pleasant to use. The food still came on top so 5 stars for the food!

When we walked in it was a relaxed atmosphere with music playing. Waitress was fast, we ordered quick and food came out just as fast and hot. Food for the price is really good. Good has a great taste. We will eat here again

Love this place! We always have a blast going to Hawaii! This time I was into more "healthy" mood, so I got myself large poke bowl with three protein. Lots of toppings variety! Their poke bowl is great, BUT, their ramens are BOMB! The tonkotsu and cajun ramen are awesome. And it you are really into spicy, get the lvl 5 with no doubt! Steven and his crew rock!

I had the cajun ramen because I saw it on the menu here on Yelp. It was so very good! I had never heard of it before and it did not disappoint. It had the best noodles I've had in a long time. The atmosphere isn't fancy but the ramen is good and the service is friendly. My new favorite restaurant here in Abilene.

Stopped here while we were out of town to visit family. I was originally told I had to try a poke bowl, but it was a rainy day and Ramen sounded nice and hearty. The servers were very friendly and the food came out fast. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen with level 1 spice. The broth was amazing, and the spice level was nice. I could have even gone a level higher, but level 3 is vvverrryyyu hot so be careful! We also got egg rolls and crab Rangoon which were good as well. The person that lived there and raved about the poke was not really happy with their bowl that day, that's why I gave four stars. He complained that the person making it didn't put much rice and put the sauce in the rice instead of as a topping, soaking what was in there completely. I'm sure it just depends on who makes your poke bowl, but he is usually in love with it! If you are from this area, or just visiting, definitely stop by and try their food!

Food was good liked the variety of options for poke bowl and all the options to customize.

The best poke bowl, Ramen, and Grilled Steak Box ever. I like how creamy and flavorful the broth of the ramen is. The Grilled steak box is also really good. Overall I will give 5/5.

Raz has turned over a pescatarian leaf this year, so road trip food has been forced to get healthier. I wasn't holding my breath for long between him finishing the build on his Poke bowl and my Ramen being ready for carry out. During the interim I got to have an excellent conversation with the staff about my little RV and the many counties in Texas than none of us have visited yet. Super friendly staff, if I was local i would become a regular just for the conversation! I scalded myself a little combining my to-go broth with the noodles, which is actually a recommendation for the restaurant, since it means the to-go preparation keeps the food temperature steady. The broth was everything I hoped for when I slurped my first noodle. Raz tells me the Poke building was way different than what we're used to, due to the element of the "base mix" which means veggies go in the bowl between the grain or salad start and the choose-your-protein step. This was a marvelous innovation, since it meant every bite had that many more fresh, local veggies in it. There weren't as many sauce options as we have back home, but the extra veg step mord than made up, as well as the increased number of protein choices. This is our new gold-standard for Poke, and we hope we have an excuse to visit again!

best ramen I've ever had! I'm a regular I'd like to say, and i love getting the pork tonkatsu ramen level FIRE!! so good!

Ordered the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen with mild/medium spice to go. The staff was friendly and it was ready fairly quickly. The ramen was delicious, beautifully put together and had lots of flavor. One of the best I've had in town so far. However it was very spicy for mild/medium. I wouldn't order that one again because I could barely handle it. Not sure if that was a mistake but it definitely wasn't mild. It was still really good though. My only real complaint is that I paid $12 and the to-go bowl was so small. I usually pick up ramen from another local place and their bowl is double the size. Looking at review pictures, I think eating inside is the best way to get their full ramen experience. I will go that route next time.

Small spot, it's very clean and tidy. Staff was very helpful with menu. We had egg rolls, crab rangoon, classic ramen and Cajun ramen. The Egg rolls were very good and flavorful. The crab Rangoon was too sweet for my taste. I'm just not a fan of it sweet, you might love it. The Classic Ramen was delicious! The Cajun was spicy enough, the broth and noodles were delicious. The shrimp was a little on the tough side. Overall it was very yummy, I will definitely go back and explore the menu.

This place isn't terrible. M positives: staff was nice. Food came out relatively quickly. My friends seemed to like the poke bowls ok. negatives: the broth for the ramen noodles is like soy sauce and wasn't very appealing. The noodles were nothing special. I think in another place with more options, this place would be a 3-star and a no go. But for Abilene, I'd eat here when I wanted Asian food, poke, or ramen. it's not 5 star by any means.

Been here a few times and they have yet to disappoint! I have not tried the ramen, cause the poke bowls are glorious! Hope this place sticks around.

Good noodles and very fresh ingredients. I've been to Japan and China and had the best noodles in the world. For Abilene they are not bad.

The ramen was good and very fresh. Cajun Ramen,Egg Roll,and Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen ate some of my favorite.

You pay for what you get! Food is always fresh. I have ordered poke bowl, cooked foods, egg rolls and more. This place is a 12/10 on customer service. Everyone is super helpful when I first starting visiting and didn't know the sauces or how to mix them. They are great and highly recommend!

Is it possible Abilene is moving up in the food world? This is one of two restaurants that have opened in the last week. While we waited in line, we listened to the people ahead of us order. We've never had poke so this was new to us. Glenda went first, picking chicken and shrimp on Hawaii rice. She added a few toppings and was set. My turn! Let's try everything! I picked shrimp and squid salad on Hawaii rice. On his advice, I mixed 3 dressings, and then loaded up the toppings. Regular bowl was $10.99, large was $12.99. So, this kind of looked like a salad with meat. Well, it was absolutely delicious! The mixture of rice, dressing, and toppings was mouthwatering. Definitely healthier than my normal diet, I will enjoy this over and over. The staff was very helpful and friendly, not to mention they were wearing masks. When Glenda asked for more dressing, they jumped right on it. Thank you for bringing something new to Abilene. We'll see you again soon!

So refreshing to find this little gem here in Abilene among all the fast food joints and same old tired places. Had a Poki bowl with Ahi Tuna as the protein with various fixings. All fresh and fantastic. Young lady behind the counter was pleasant and extremely helpful. Needles to say I will be coming back.

Outstanding service. Great ramen. Kids absolutely loved it and were big fans of the bubble tea. Highly recommend!

Food is excellent. Service is excellent and very friendly. If you live in Abilene and haven't tried this place, it's a must. Crab ragoons are the best in town. Great boba tea. My wife and I will be returning and telling friends.

Friendly staff, well made food. I like to try ramen when I travel, and have had authentic ramen made by Japanese friends and people who have been to Japan. While this isn't the best I have, it's definitely the best we have in Abilene and I would recommend it! I'm not sure about the Hawaiian food, but the Asian food is good for a small texan town. I especially recommend the gyoza dumplings

Food was spectacular and delicious and it was convenient that it was right next to our gym. We got the spicy Tonkatsu Ramen bowl and the make your own poke bowl and behind that my darling wife. Just the food is from the restaurant. Food was flavorful, fresh tasting and absolutely delicious. would highly recommend it and will come again.

I had the best veggie miso ramen in Abilene today! Way to bring in the new year! Seriously, I grew up in Japan and know my ramen. Most of the Asian noodle places do not get ramen quite right here. The taste, price and quality here is comparable to what you will find in the DFW and Austin area. Their cucumber flavored water is great, too!

Neat little poke place in the middle of Texas! We stopped here for lunch while driving from NM to NC, and we loved it. Great food, super polite employees, and yummy boba. Would recommend!

Tried the Cajun Ramen and was so happy I did. Spicy and delicious! Also had the dumplings which were great as well - highly recommend.

Ordered on the phone for pick up and was met by an incredibly polite staff. Food was ready very quickly, and was very hot when we got it. Everything tasted great, and the flavors in the bowl were an excellent contrast to each other. 10/10 would come again.

Great little place. Stopped by traveling through, right off the highway so easy to find. You create your own poke bowl so the food was fast, and all of it was fresh. Boyfriend and I had no idea what to do and the staff kindly helped us through and gave great recommendations. The dragon fruit tea with strawberry boba was delicious. If we're every back in the area I'll definitely be back to try their ramen

It was my husband and I first time having a poke bowl and we fell in love. The ingredients were so fresh. This will definitely be a great place to visit this summer when it's so hot outside.

Ridiculous! TBH it sounded unappealing to me at first . Went here with a friend and we split 2 entrees. Wow I was so wrong . This place is delicious! It's unique and very tasty! I'm addicted now!

Nice staff, tasty tea, and the poke is fantastic. The poke is bit pricy, but it's a lot of food with an array of options for tasty, fresh ingredients. Definitely recommend!
