Hawaiian Bros. - Review - North Burnet - Austin - The Infatuation

"Hawaiian Bros is in the new Kitchen United Mix space, meaning they don’t have a physical restaurant, but are instead available exclusively for takeout and delivery. The focus here is on plate lunches - with things like huli huli chicken or luau pig over rice with macaroni salad - but they also have spam musubi and Dole whip soft-serve. We really like the molokai chicken and slow-roasted kalua pork (luau pig) here. And we’re convinced that their house-made pineapple barbecue sauce would be great on just about anything, but it’s especially good on the pork." - Nicolai McCrary

Mac tasted like vinegar, veggies tasted like wax, pineapple was mushy, pork was mushy and tasted like it was boiled in salt water. The msubi was just nasty.... Not great... not even for fast food.

Google
Place is great and doesn’t break the bank for a delicious meal. Eric is awesome! Note to online orders: don’t place any past 11:30pm! The website will allow the order to go through, but kitchen stops taking the orders around 11:45.

Google
Food was absolutely delicious. Great flavors, the rice is great quality too! The macaroni salad is.. passable, nothing special. My only complaint with hawaiian bros is the price for what your meal actually is. Chicken and rice shouldn’t be 14 dollars, but hey, that’s the economy we live in right now. Rest assured, if you’re cheap like I am, the flavor will definitely make up for the price. Don’t expect an atmosphere at this place though as there isn’t much of a dine-in area, which is by design at this location as there are multiple kitchens in one building. Not a drawback, just informing yall.

The Honolulu chicken was really good. The rices texture was very good, not mushy or hard. However the macroni salad was not it.

Even though I’ve never stepped foot inside Hawaiian Bros Island Grill, their food has found its way into my heart—usually around midnight, thanks to Uber Eats. With lightning-fast delivery (never more than 30 minutes, and I’m 6.7 miles away), it’s obvious this team knows how to move with aloha efficiency. The pork is unbelievably tender—like it slow-danced its way into the container—and the chicken is just as juicy and flavorful. Don’t sleep on the mac: a dreamy fusion of creamy mac ‘n cheese and cool island-style pasta salad that tastes like it came from someone’s soul-food-loving grandma. Their frequent, (found within Uber Eats app) Buy One Get One Free deals make this feel-good feast an actual steal, with generous portions that satisfy your appetite and your wallet. Whether you're craving comfort food with a tropical twist or just want a deal that delivers in every sense, Hawaiian Bros off Burnet Road in Austin brings the island to you—no passport required.

Everything always tastes delicious. Rice, veggies, entrees...Employees are friendly & service is quick. 1 of my favorite places. (Just fyi the macaroni is more like a version of cole slaw.)

Google
Eric the head chef was so kind and let us sample before we ordered. Christina at the front explained the ChefSuite set up and was so sweet! We’ll be back! Molokai and Kilauea chicken are the bomb!

Google
Avoid this location at least PM Shift. My spam Musubi was burned. I had to ask for the drink I ordered and when it came out had dead bug parts stuck on top. I ordered the Molokai and got HULI HULI CHICKEN zero spice. I’ve enjoyed your locations all over Texas THIS location is a horrible representation of your brand. Working outside sales across Tx this is usually a treat to end a stressful week. I really wish you guys could open a brick and mortar for this side of Austin. I do appreciate the service and quality of food I’ve received at OTHER locations.

Yelp
At first I was confused because I didn't see a sign for this place but turns out it was a ghost kitchen which I've never been in one before. Cool concept! Since coming from California I haven't had Hawaiian bbq and was glad this was close to me and they had such different options than I'm used to! I got the large Honolulu chicken plate which was delicious and tons of food! Price was decent especially for the amount of food you get, I could probably eat this for three meals! Will definitely come back to try other dishes!

Yelp
I got the classic mixed plate with Molokai chicken and Honolulu chicken. The Molokai was a sweet and spicy chicken that had a little bit of heat (left) and the Honolulu chicken was infused with garlic and topped with green onions and sesame (right). Each plate comes with rice and macaroni salad. The macaroni salad was somehow refreshing? The flavor wasn't harsh and it was light and creamy. The spam musubi is rice and seared spam glazed in teriyaki sauce wrapped in dried seaweed. I enjoyed this little thing. This was my first time having Dole soft serve and it was great. Super light, almost fluffy, and refreshing. I got the normal pineapple one and Sandro got the mix which was pineapple and strawberry both were great. Also, we went to the San Marcos location and our server, Mary, went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. I'm making note of this because Hawaiian Bros is like a fast causal place like Cava or something of that sort but Mary put in a lot of effort to make everyone feel welcome. She was so sweet. Thank you Mary!

Yelp
These bowls are massive. If you'd like to be in a food coma, this is your spot. If you want to split one order into two meals, potentially three, this is also your spot. Online nutrition seems absurdly inaccurate as the luau pork has nearly double the protein of any chicken but that's a separate issue. Big if true though! I'd skip the mac salad. I'm not sure if I had a bad batch but I didn't get a good impression as the mac salad was firm, stale, and challenging to eat. It makes up a whole fourth of the plate but luckily you are able to substitute. More rice, vegetables, or even their pineapple skewer sound fantastic. I've had tons of different mac salads and appreciate all the variations enough where I'm not picky but this was a fail. Large Mixed Plate w/ Huli Huli Chicken and Luau Pig - chicken is juicy and tender with a nice glaze of huli-huli as a simple sugary soy sauce. Beneath the chicken rests a bed of rice marinating in sauce which is super delicious. On the other side is a pile of kalua pork which is a flavorful but slightly dry. Extra sauce is extremely helpful. Unfortunately underneath isn't a marinated pool of rice but you can do it yourself. I'll note that the foundation of rice does lead to a misleading idea that it's packed with meat, but the portions are still very hefty. Mac salad was poor as noted above.

Yelp
AMBIANCE: - It's a ghost kitchen and not an actual restaurant, but there are a few tables and chairs to sit at. Plenty of parking. FOOD: - The Honolulu chicken was tasty and had a good portion size for the price. It came with 2 sides: rice and mac salad

Laura Z.

Yelp
I've been eating Hawaiian food for the last 30 years. The Huli Huli chicken was bearable. The Mac salad was dreadful. I did order online. The prices were a complete rip off. I ordered a small plate and it was $17. The pic on the ordering page showed a regular sized container. It came in a half container. These prices are ridiculous! So disappointing!

Yelp
I order from here at least once a week and it's always superb. Excellent food and reasonable prices. The meals are simple (rice, macaroni, meat) but they do it right and that's what I care about! Recommended 100%!!!

Yelp
It's been a hot minute since I've had Hawaiian and I was actually looking forward to it. However, it was quite...underwhelming. It was my first time here and I was initially caught off guard by the format of this "restaurant". They essentially share a kitchen with a few other food establishments. There's one person manning the conveyor belt that rolls out already packaged orders from the kitchen. It doesn't look like there is a cashier at this place but there are QR codes for whichever restaurant you wanted to place your order from. People typically place an order online ahead of time for pick up, which is recommended. If you choose to eat there, there are plenty of tables. When we went around dinner time on a Friday, we didn't see anyone dining in. As for the food itself, it was just average. I got the Hawaiian plate and it was just okay. The macaroni pasta tasted a bit bland to me. I've definitely had better macaroni pasta at other Hawaiian food places. The spam musubi was disappointing. You're better off just getting that from H Mart instead. All in all, I'm sad to say I most likely won't be returning back here.

Yelp
I called beforehand about my severe gluten allergy, and halfway through my meal I realized there was a literal noodle mixed into my food. That's honestly insane. Talking to an employee they then didn't even know what gluten was....at a restaurant that has a reputation for careering towards celiac patrons. I hate to sound dramatic, but this is infuriating and I'm about to have weeks of horrible nightmare reactions because this place literally put noodles into a dish they advertise as gluten-free for someone who literally stated a severe allergy. I really hope they get it together. I generally give everywhere a super nice review and feel really weird being so harsh -- but this is honestly straight up negligent and dangerous.

Yelp
Im so conflicted with this review! I LOVE hawaiian bros and they usually knock it out of the park! The chicken is tender, the sauce they pair with each dish is fantastic, the rice is soft and sticky. Its SO DAMN GOOD! But today! 12/11/24 I placed my usual order for Honolulu chicken with added rice in place of the mac and the chicken was dry, and no sauce was given, seemed to be the last of the patch, I personally wouldnt serve someone food I wouldnt eat and this is that! No green onions or sesame seeds in sight! Such a disappointment.

john R.

Yelp
Planning to eat here but the ordering system was too complicated. This is a Ghost Kitchen and you scan the barcode to order online and pick up in person. What confused me was the cost of a meal. You go on their site and you pay $20 for a couple grilled chicken, and sides are extra? Is this an a la carte menu? If yes then, what a rip off. No way am I paying over $25 for Hawaiian BBQ. That's just a straight rip off. In California you order a plate and it's like $16 with two sides. Simple and easy.
google avatar

Yelp
A hidden gem! The food was fantastic, even my picky toddlers asked for seconds. Great flavor and a reasonable price for the amount you get. Looking forward to my leftovers for lunch

Yelp
Between my trips to Kauai and Oahu, I've had plenty of traditional "plate lunches" and have been curious about the food from Hawaiian Bros Island Grill here in Austin for a few months. I finally had an excuse to visit the other week when UberEats was running a 2-for-1 special. For a takeout kitchen, my expectations weren't unreasonable but they sure were higher than the plain microwave-reheated meat with packaged sauces on the side that I got. Sure, meat portions are large for the price but there was no harmony in the flavor. Their huli huli chicken was just basic teriyaki, their luau pig (kalua pork) was underwhelming, and the macaroni salad was too salty. They'll do if you're short on time and happen to be in the area, but certainly not something I would ever crave or go out of my way for again. They lack authenticity and are more akin to school cafeteria food, which is a shame because if they decided to go the extra culinary step they'd made a killing in this city.
google avatar

Luke L.

Yelp
Love the food here, especially when I am missing Honolulu. Simple menu and they give you generous portions.
google avatar

Danielle W.

Yelp
Tried this today for take out lunch. I got the Teriyaki chicken plate. It has a very mild spice to it. It came with rice under the meat, a side of rice, and a side of a macaroni.... Thing. The meat was fresh and hot! The flavor was nice. But I've definitely had better teriyaki. The rice was perfectly cooked! I have no idea what was in the macaroni. Mayo? Salt? Pepper. And it was cold. Weird. But they got every order right! (For take it, I wish they would label the boxes so we can tell them apart. Everything looks very similar).
google avatar

Hunter M.

Yelp
Good food, bad ethics! If you order a large plate ($20), just know that there's a huge rice bed underneath the meat, they make it seem like you're getting this large portion of meat, when in reality it's just a normal portion over a nice fat bed of rice underneath it, and then they call it "LARGE". Too top that, they serve you a big fat rice ball as one of your sides, it's like who needs this much rice? What a joke! That's a shady way to run a business, freakin ridiculous! If I were to re-order from here again, I would definitely substitute my rice ball out for some more veggies or macaroni salad (the macaroni salad was so bomb!). I got three different types of chicken, and they practically all tasted the same, literally! The only way I could differentiate any of them was the fact that one of them had green onions, and one of them was a little bit spicy. Aside from that I don't know if I really would've been able to tell that much of a difference, and that's unfortunate considering that most of their menu is chicken. Everything was super filling, and it wasn't to bad, aside the fact that half the container was rice. I definitely don't think this is the most healthy place to eat, considering all you're getting is protein on top of carbs, with a side of carbs and another side of carbs covered in mayonnaise. If you are trying to be healthy they are gonna charge you extra for vegetables or fruit. Hawaiian Bros, you have potential, but you've got some work to do!

Yelp
Omgosh this place sucks! It completely insults our quality of foods from the islands. I've heard a few comments about this place but what do you expect when the people telling me about this place are NOT local. I can't even image anyone thinking the Mac salad is tasty. It was literally the worst thing I ate. Even the salad from Rainbows Drive Inn is better and the Mac salad from Rainbows suck. I would never recommend this place, don't waste your time and money coming here. The staff is not even local and don't know what our food tastes like. Plus where is the aloha spirit when you come here. I actually want my money back.

Skinny L.

Yelp
product shrinkage is par for the course when inflation's rampant but stiffing me 50% when i'm paying $9+ for two large mac salads is ridiculous. basically received two 16oz containers just for them to each be half empty also, compare the amount of chicken that's in my box compared to other photos. hawaiian bros was known for their portions, what a fall from grace. just raise your damn prices instead of jipping your customers! was this a fluke??
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Aside from the now customary "build-your-own" poke bowls, the Hawaiian food scene in Austin is surprisingly lacking. I live in downtown, and a Yelp search for "Hawaiian food near me" yields irrelevant entries like Jamaican or Korean food?? So it's great that Hawaiian Bros brings a cuisine that is otherwise hard to find in this area. I've included a photo of my latest order. The food tastes great and is a hefty portion size. I got the large combo for ~$20, and this lasted me like 3 meals! Talk about getting my money's worth! Definitely get the Luau Pig. A Hawaiian restaurant that can't do Kalua Pork isn't real! Luckily, theirs's is delicious. Any of their chicken entries are great as well - they have a fantastic sauce coating. This is a very carb-loaded meal, so I highly recommend replacing one of your rice sides for veggies. But do you want to know the main reason I give this place 5 stars? They have shown me that they strive to improve. I ordered from here nearly a year ago and wasn't as impressed. The mac salad tasted odd. The meat was good but the portions were disappointing. They are clearly listening and working towards a better service. From my order this week, I was very happy with the portions and the mac salad was addicting! My one constructive criticism: a lot of the chicken entrees taste similar. If you can find a way to diversify them more, or add a new entrée, I think that would greatly improve your selections!

Yelp
Spent $20 on a mixed plate to pick up... came home from the 20 min drive and I got a half plate with very little rice... how does someone close and pack this knowing there's only a side portion... I don't know what's going on but clearly this is unacceptable. Heed warning

Earl ..

Yelp
Have been a fan of the Huli Huli chicken for quite a while, but tonight's version was a big disappointment. Flavor of the chicken in both our dishes was not up to usual standards. Couple that with the rising prices and the gristle in the Huli Huli chicken, and it was, all-in-all, a serious letdown. Might give it one more try--everybody deserves a mulligan, but if this becomes a trend, will be time to say aloha to Hawaiian Bros. :-/
google avatar

Connie X.

Yelp
Hawaiian Bros Island Grill exceeded my expectations with their huli huli chicken. Despite being a takeout-only kitchen, the flavors and quality of their food were outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with mouthwatering flavors. Though the lack of a physical restaurant may disappoint some, the convenience of their takeout-only setup ensures you can savor their exceptional food in the comfort of your own home. Overall, I would say the portion size is huge, leaving me a lot of leftovers for two meals, instead of just one. I enjoyed H-bros and I will be back. The ambiance of the place is truly a ghost kitchen and you will have to take out your food, but on the go, it is a great choice. I would say that I did not have a chance to interact with the staff, but my food was ready when it said it would be ready. I am happy that I had the opportunity to try this place.

Yelp
The food is alway SPOT ON! I the service is always on par..love the FOOD! This is my got for Hawaiian !

Yelp
I ordered this because I was looking for a good Hawaiian food spot. Why did no one tell me it was terrible.I could not even stomach the Mac salad. It was nasty. Honestly the Classic - Kilauea Chicken was okay with rice , but I am so upset I wasted my money on this place. In sacramento they would never have tried to pass this off as Hawaiian!

Divine Resonance H.

Yelp
Wow!!! Amazing service. So helpful and such quality food. Chris helped me when I was having issues and the front staff was so nice. 5/5, I will def be returning!!!
google avatar

Johnny L.

Yelp
Updating my review because the meat portions are even worse now than before. At the price point, I don't think it's a justifiable purchase.

Dalena N.

Yelp
Deceptive food portions. I've had hawaiian food similar to these joints elsewhere (even L&L another similar joint is better) and this is the first time I ordered at a place that skimps on the protein/veggies by packing a bunch of rice underneath it. You're basically paying for rice which is the cheapest ingredient in this box. This is not worth your money. On uber eats, they give you the option to choose "No rice bed Add Protein/Veggie" but you shouldn't have to pay extra to get the portion that should already be reasonable to begin with.
google avatar

Eric K.

Yelp
The vegetables were mush. Like, sitting-in-the-steam-table-since-2017 mush. They were inedible, couldn't hold up under their own weight when picked up with a fork, and so overdone that they had gone bitter. Absolutely disgusting. I did not enjoy the $1 rip-off upcharge to substitute the macaroni for them. At least the mac was edible, but just a bit too salty. We tried a few different variations of the chicken: huli huli, Honolulu, Molokai, and Kilauea. They all tasted extremely similar. The Honolulu was supposed to be "Savory chicken infused with fresh garlic, green onions and sesame" according to their menu. It was unexpectedly sweet, and completely indistinguishable from the Molokai and Huli Huli. The only chicken that was slightly different from the others was the Kilauea, which had a little more heat. All chicken dishes we received were slightly overcooked, but chicken thighs are pretty forgiving since they have a lot of fat, so they were edible. Fun fact, they're also cheap, so if you want to start a sub-par internet ghost kitchen exotic restaurant concept, and want fat margins, thighs are a good meat choice. Just make sure to point out that all menu items are "inspired" by your target cuisine so nobody can yell at you for not being authentic.

Yelp
Hawaiian Bros is reliably delicious. Definitely one of my go to deliveries when I'm sitting at home. Honolulu Chicken is my favorite.

Yelp
Finally tried Hawaiian Bros and it was not a disappointment. Will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Ordered to go through Uber eats and had the food delivered to my work. Everything was packaged nicely and requests were followed. The food tasted really good and the amount of food per serving was very large.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place as I had heard great things. I also didn't realize it was a ghost kitchen (should have read the reviews) but then I actually was excited that I could order a bunch of different things. Well, you can't lol only two of the restaurants out of maybe 8 were "available". I think the second was Fuddruckers (very odd that restaurant would be in a ghost kitchen). Staff inside the restaurant were friendly and efficient. I noticed that the prices on the touchscreen didn't match the prices on the Hawaiian Bros website where you can place a takeout order (surprisingly the touchscreen on-location prices were about $2+ higher). I asked about this and was told it's more expensive to order on-location because of the costs to operate the ghost kitchen. I got the classic mixed plate with huli and honolulu, and both were unfortunately very underwhelming. Flavor wasn't super strong, not enough sauce, and chicken was dry (tasted like it had been made in bulk and sat out for a long while under a heat lamp). Mind you, they made my plate in less than 5 minutes so there is no reason the chicken should taste dry. I was really disappointed since we have a Hawaiian place back home that we went to on a weekly basis and their food was so good, tender chicken and large portions, and more reasonable pricing. For $16 total... I expected more. ‍ Should have gone down the road to Pedrosos which was my plan A, but didn't think I could finish a whole pizza on my own.

Yelp
Food was very good! We got delivery, I think going there and getting it fresh might push this to 5 stars! Will def be back to try fresh from store next time. Pineapple was good, I wish there were a few more pieces but it was fresh and not canned. The meat was tender and flavors delicious . Will be back for sure!

Yelp
Hey it's Anthony here! Long time lover of Hawaiian Bros! I just made it back into town and came straight here! Got to meet an amazing cashier with a great personality and THE BEST PART, got to meet Eric! The man amongst several who are putting there soul into this OUTSTANDING FOOD! PLEASE COME SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Yelp
Note to self, don't order this right before going to leg day..... Yeah this food is amazing. I couldn't stop eating it. The flavor of everything was so good, I got sauces but didn't really need them. The Honolulu chicken is moist and juicy. The luai pig is scrumptious. The rice was the perfect consistency. I will the Mac salad was a bit too salty but paired with some rice or the pork it is perfect. I ordered in Uber and everything came packaged super well and hot. The spam musubi was also WOW. I love that they do have veggies so I can feel a bit more balanced, they mixed wonderfully with everything. This will definitely be a new regular spot for me, just....not before I go workout.
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
Good try.... Kidding. Wasn't good at all. Got the Huli Huli and Honolulu chicken (large) mixed plate. Menu sounded good. The huli huli was some teriyaki-ish flavor (not even close to Hawaiian Style). The Honolulu chicken was something I could have gotten at an Asian buffet. The mac salad completely missed the mark. The elbows were not cooked past "al dente" and were almost crunchy. Whatever mayo they used was not right (it has to be Kraft or Hellman's.... not the mayo used by this place). The only thing they got right is the rice. What a disappointment. Should have gone to L&L's... not that great but better than the food at "wanna-be" Hawaiian Bros. Then there's the fact that I paid over $30 and the food just wasn't good. I could have gone to an Asian buffet and paid $15 and the food would have been better. Just being honest since I'm FROM Hawaii.

Chan M.

Yelp
I know it's not really authentic or Hawaiian (as I understand it), but I don't care, I love this food! No real ambiance since it's just a place to pick up your food (my order is correct & the people are nice, though!), but the food is great!
google avatar

Terry P.

Yelp
I got the large combo plate with the Honolulu and Molokai Chicken. The good news was that they were both made with dark meat chicken so they weren't dry, and were easy to chew; the bad news was there wasn't a discernible taste difference, and the Molokai did not have the advertised heat. I'm not generally a rice fan, so I asked to sub mixed vegetables for not only the scoop of rice, but also for the rice "bed" that is normally underneath the proteins. The vegetables were not noticeably seasoned, but they did remain crunchy after steaming. The veggies were a mix of broccoli, onion, green beans (fresh, not canned), carrots and zucchini. This type of combo is a Diabetic and Keto-Lover's dream. I also got a side of fresh, sweet , juicy pineapple, cut into large chunks, and macaroni "salad," which was a mild mayonnaise version. All of the items went well together, and were accompanied by containers of teriyaki and pineapple bbq sauces. I was pleased to discover that you can request extra containers at no charge. The bbq sauce tastes as advertised; the teriyaki is okay, but it could do with small additions of brown sugar and pineapple juice. This is a great place for a plate lunch to take back to work, or to take on the road. They are a delivery or take-out spot only; there is no seating. The beauty of their offerings is how they work so well together, not necessarily the perfection of each individual item. I'm pleased with what I ordered this time, but next time I'll probably expand my horizons and try a new combo.

Yelp
First timer and will definitely be back! My experience started with ordering from their online website which was very easy to use. Substitutions were easily made. The cost per quality of this food is spectacular! We ordered the Honolulu Chicken and Molokai Chicken- we were hesitant getting two types of chicken dishes (their pork was sold out) but we were pleasantly surprised that they both has very distinct, delicious tastes! We ordered one with pineapple and one with veggies for a small upcharge. The spam musubi was also very good, and the pineapple dole soft serve was SO refreshing and exactly what I needed on a hot summer day. This restaurant is located inside United Kitchen Mix on Burnet Rd and there is plenty of parking in their lot. Currently, you walk up to the main window and pick up your food from there - pretty seamless!

Yelp
YUM! YUM! YUM!! I absolutely loved eating here! This is one of the few places I can get food back from home. Since moving from Hawaii, I can't always eat my local favorites. I loved the options of eating at the Kitchen. It's in a building that has ten other restaurants! We ordered as we got there and was ready in 15 minutes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Sunny P.

Yelp
Delicious take-out and generous portions. I ordered the classic huli huli and had leftovers! The chicken was tender and seasoned well. Macaroni salad was on point. My partner had spam masubi and loved it. We'll be back!
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
Overall good and value regular mixed plate with huli huli chicken and Molokai chicken (4/5) regular plate of Honolulu chicken (2.5/5) - so dry.... But flavor was good! - paid to upgrade the Mac salad for pineapple and they gave me the tiniest portion... such a shame

Yelp
I was really craving some luau pork today and had been meaning to try Hawaiian Bros, so it seemed like a great opportunity to check them out! I made an order through their website and drove to pick up. Note that their storefront is not labeled as Hawaiian Bros but as Kitchen United. There is a counter inside where you ask to pick up your order. I got the classic size luau pork, rice, subbed pineapple for the mac, and a side of veggies. I also ordered spam musubi. Everything was tasty. The luau pork was savory and wonderful, especially with the added teriyaki sauce. I thought the veggies were nothing to write home about (mixed veg is mixed veg) but appreciated nonetheless. The shining star for me was the spam musubi. The flavor hit just the right note and was amazing. I enjoyed my lunch and the classic size is big enough that I can get two meals out of it. All of this plus tip for $20. Really great!

Yelp
I have been looking for Hawaiian food ever since salty cargo closed down & I found it in the food wonderland known as Kitchen United Mix! To my surprise I arrived to find the setup inside not to be a restaurant at all but a kitchen with many restaurants, what a smart idea! Ordered my food with the help of the amazing staff & waited for a text for confirmation that it was ready! Super easy and simple ordering and pickup but you can also order ahead online. I got the mixed plate of Honolulu chicken and luau pig with double scoops of Mac salad since the meat does lay on a bed of rice. I love it all the meat was delicious tender season well and sauced to perfection & I really like the Mac salad despite others reviews it taste great to me! I definitely can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Used Uber Eats to order and have delivered. The food was delicious, had the Huli Huli chicken and the Honolulu chicken with a pineapple skewer.

Yelp
There was paper wrapping inside the honolulu. I was offered a refund, but still haven't received it. Food was mediocre.

Yelp
I ordered Hawaiian bros through Door Dash because I was feeling lazy to drive for pickup. Let's just say my Door Dash driver took longer than expected estimated time but nonetheless I was patient for my lunch. I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken lunch plate which came with extra rice and macaroni salad. I also ordered a side of veggies to have some balance to my meal. The chicken was pretty moist, flavorful and tasty and the portions are huge! I definitely saved half for dinner. I definitely can't wait to try their other items on their menu! Highly recommend if you're craving something sweet and savory and some good Hawaiian chicken!

Yelp
A lot of people have been advertising this place, so stopping by was a no-brainer. Their online ordering system was simple, order off the website at home, drive up to the Kitchen United Mix building, walk in, and pick up your order at the counter. Pretty efficient, pretty fast. Right before quarantine, we took a trip to Hawaii and loved the food there, so it was super exciting when Hawaiian Bros opened up for quick trip down memory lane. We ordered the Luau Pig and the Huli Huli chicken. The both meats were delicious, and you can taste that char grilled flavor. Parts of the pork was a bit dry, but there were also some fatty bits as well. The marinade on the chicken was perfect and the meat was nice and tender. The food came with two different kinds of sauce, and while I'm not a huge fan of sauces in general, they were absolutely delicious. Not overly salty, heavy, or thick, I added a lot of it on the pork and it also tasted great with the rice. The mac salad was also really nice. The macaroni was cooked very well; not mushy at all. The size of our orders was the Classic, and it was definitely enough food. Great price for the quantity!

Yelp
Review is based off of a delivery through UberEats. We ordered a small and large mixed plate which comes with your choice of meat, rice, and macaroni salad. We also ordered a side of pineapple (we were really treating ourselves.) Huli Huli chicken - their version of teriyaki chicken, grilled. This was the plainest of the options, but it was definitely uplifted by the pineapple. (The pineapple, btw, was super fresh and ripe! I was so pleased to see that it wasn't just repackaged pineapple chunks from a can.). Honolulu chicken - great flavor overall, but too salty for my taste. The chicken was tender and well decorated with green onion and sesame. Definitely paired well with the rice and pineapple to cut through the sauce. Kilauea chicken - this was probably my favorite of the three, but be warned, this is spicy! I would compare it to flaming hot Cheetos level of hot. Macaroni salad - their macaroni salad was creamy, tasty, but do note it has a herby taste -perhaps fennel? I personally enjoyed it in small portions. Overall: the portion sizes were healthy, and we were able to make two meals out of everything! Only complaints was the saltiness of the Honolulu chicken and the Huli HulI just being okay. All considered, we'd give this restaurant another go!
