Hawaiian Bros Island Grill

Visiting Dallas, TX and our rule is to eat at places we don't have back home. Came across Hawaiian Bros in Rowlett and it did not disappoint. The customer service alone made the experience enjoyable. Ms. Claudia could not have been more precious, welcoming, and extremely polite. The food...5 stars all the way. The atmosphere made me ready to pack my bags and head to the beach. Definitely worth the visit.

Wild to see all the good reviews, which we wanted to try this place for the first time via doordash, yet it was a disappointment. The only complaint I have is that both the wife and my dishes were wrong. It was a big deal because we didn't want Mac n cheese in either of our wraps. We were interested in trying the mandarin oranges and pineapple in two different wraps. Instead we got pineapple in a Mac n cheese wrap as if they didn't care and just the Mac wrap for the other. Don't stay open late if you can't execute. Flavor was decent which saved face.

We had a wonderful experience! The food was simple but delicious. The kids' meals were perfect, and my son especially loved the pineapple soft serve that came with his. The portions were so generous that I even got two meals out of mine. The customer service was excellent. We'll definitely be back—we loved it! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the macaroni salad that came with the meal.

It was our first time at Hawaiian Bros, and from the moment we walked in, Claudia made us feel welcome with her warm greeting. She guided us through the ordering process at the kiosk and even recommended joining One Ohana for a free soft serve. The food was absolutely delicious—I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place sooner! And the pineapple soft serve was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We arrive to this location and the outside was beautiful and clean. I arrived with my husband who at the time was fresh out of knee surgery Mrs.claudia greeted us with a very nice and warm smile and ask if it was out first time. Aand if we need anything she can help us, we put our number in to find it not working Mrs. Claudia was more then happy to help us figure out how to set up a vip awards(my husband loves to eat). After she brought us the food with condiments ready which was very helpful. My husband was able to get a soft serve for free because of the VIP account which again was all help to the wonderful and lovely Mrs. Claudia (amazing soft serve ❤️)

Claudia was super helpful and made me and my family laugh. The place is very clean and spacious. Fun vibes will be returning with the family. Oh yeah by the way the food is delightful!!!!

Nah. It's good. Hubs and i shared a plate. But if you've had mo' bettahs, you not missing out. Plus they put rice under their chicken. Which is weird, a side of rice and rice also under the chicken?

Very good service. Claudia was very helpful and nice, she made sure we got our food and utensils. I ordered the large Honolulu chicken and added veggies. All very delicious!

Wow, is this even fast food? The food here is remarkable. My favorite is the Hulu Hulu Chicken, it's full of flavor and tender bits of yummy heaven. The macaroni salad that comes with it is amazing. The service is always spot on and the inside is just beautiful and clean. Everyone is so friendly there. And they have that yummy dole whip soft serve.

Food is good. But every time I've gone here they forget something from my order and I have to go back inside. So don't really recommend.

Never been and came with a coworker for a late lunch on his recommendation. Upon entering, an employee will assist you with ordering (although we told them we didn't need it) and it made for an awkward ordering process (think 4 people standing at the kiosk trying to order). I ended up with the Honolulu Chicken (small) and it can with white rice, I subbed the mac-n-cheese salad for their veggies. The meal itself was ok but it could've came out warmer. The small is also a good portion size for lunch. It was a quick in and out meal but I doubt I'll be back.

I'm increasing my review to 3 stars because the owner reached out to me and offered a free plate to try them again.

Food showed up the next day when we left out of town. Did not get to taste the savory flavors.

i have only ever ordered to-go so i will say sometimes the portions are off but the food and drinks are really good!

Went to HB on 10/28/24 in the evening. Food was delicious, espec since it was my only meal that day, but it gave me such severe food poisoning the next morning that every time I think of it now I am nauseous again. I've been to this location several times with no issues. Not their finest hour.

We Hawai'i girls don't see much Hawaiian local food often since we moved to Texas, so when we do see something promising we are almost gravitated in! After a long three hour drive from Houston to Dallas, we decided to end our night with what we know: Hawaiian Mixed Plate vibes. Upon arrival, the lightened up Hawaiian islands mural/sign they had outside was a sight to see. Even when we entered the venue we noticed they were playing the classic island jams. It was a very modern restaurant with iPads to order from and their service lady was quick and polite. I ordered a combination plate of their Kalua pig and huli huli chicken with a side of mac salad. I guess you cant really find anything like home. It was a good attempt. The pulled pork was juicy and the chicken was more on the teriyaki side than Huli huli. As for the mac salad....just wasn't it. Again, a really close attempt to the original! I guess we're just gonna have to keep looking.

Hawaiian bros is super good on the price for the amount of food you get! We love the luau pig and Huli huli chicken. Their Mac salad is also unbeatable for fast food. The drive through service is extremely fast and efficient and overall it's a great quick place to eat.

Clean atmosphere. Friendly greeter. Food is yummy but portion sizes are smaller and smaller every time we go :(

Hawaiian Bros Island Grill has Island inspired flavors Aloha Spirits I was in the Rowlett area and stopped to try this eatery chain. I pulled right up in the drive-thru, and looked at the menu options. I was told that all the menu options were gluten- free except the macaroni salad and the chow main noodles on the Pacific Island salad. I opted for the signature Huli Huli fresh grilled teriyaki chicken which the lunch plate comes with macaroni salad, and white rice. The Dole tropical soft serve caught my eye and ordered that as well. There were a couple cars in front in drive -thru but it wasn't but a 3 min wait to pickup my order. For it to be early afternoon, it wasn't that crowded on a Monday. Customer service was good, and the food was hot. I tried the mixed soft serve first, which wasn't too sweet but just the right amount of sweetness and creamy. My kids enjoyed the soft serve, and said it tasted like frozen yogurt. The lunch plate was tasty! The rice was cooked perfectly and not mushy. The chicken was flavorful and cooked just right. The macaroni salad was really good, better than some Hawaiian barbecue places I had. This place is a whole island vibe, with palm tree outside and island decor inside. I recommend this location definitely since the food taste freshly cooked the couple times I've been here. Bro, I was not disappointed!

The food here was really good. Took me back to Hawaii! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very chill for an after church lunch. The small size really is small so if you're a big eater, get a bigger size. For me, it was the perfect size! I like the sauces they offer for free... that's unheard of nowadays. I would definitely go back but it wouldn't be a place I would want to eat at every weekend. Just a here and there treat.

Got the kalua pig! The Mac salad and musubi not bad, the chicken is aight. Are they really Hawaiian brothers ?

I was helped by Claudia who had an infectious smile! She helped me pick the kilauea chicken which was fresh and delicious. Will be coming back soon!

Chicken is always very flavorful and I think the portions are a good size for the price!! The macaroni salad has got to be my favorite tho! I'm happy we have one of these in Rowlett.

That is not a pound and a half of meat. Disappointed that your prices went up and the servings went down. Was just here last week. I'll have to find another location!

I was craving oxtails or short ribs and this restaurant showed up, first, in my Yelp search. Lesson learned, no beef here. Without looking at the menu I headed over. It appears orders placed by computer only (not sure) and I did so. All of the chicken dishes looked very similar. The only other meat choice was a shredded pork. I ordered a combo with 2 different chickens and they both tasted the identical. VERY sweet. The meat was placed on top of rice, so don't let the pic fool you as to the amount. The rice was way over cooked (soggy) and the veggies were almost raw. Macaroni had way too much Mayo and a seasoning (some type of seed) that I couldn't stand. I've eaten a lot of island food and this was most definitely a fast food chain style. Disappointing, as I love Hawaiian food. I wouldn't refuse to go again but definitely wouldn't be my pick. Restaurant was decorated nicely and service was friendly.

We have missed teriyaki chicken since moving to Texas from WA. Yummy chicken and ok macaroni salad although nothing like true Hawaiian macaroni salad. Our grandson loves the strawberry whip !

Great desserts Pineapple whip is a must ! Menu is unique and can be rewarding for the adventurous diner. Drive thru service is very efficient with minimal wait times.

It was a little harder to get into the parking lot of this location due to the traffic pattern, but it wasn't terrible. I am used to ordering on the touch screen now, but they have an employee ready to help if you need it. The food was delicious. I like getting the mixed plate, subbing pineapple for Mac and doing low carb with veggies. I love the music that plays inside the restaurant. I find it relaxing, fun, and adds to the atmosphere. Many people came and checked on us throughout our meal.

The food service was so excellent I loved the food and the staff were so nice and helpful it was my first time there but believe me when I say it was some of the best I've had !

Stopped in today for a delish lunch. Decided on the Hulu Hulu Chicken and Pork. Both had a side of rice and potato salad. We added sliced pineapple as well. It was all very tender and juicy. We've been to Hawaii several times and it really does taste like your on the island eating traditional food. For ours drinks were Orange Nectar in a can, and I got Agave Cream Soda. They both were good. We always got the chance to taste their ice cream. They have Strawberry, Pineapple and both in swirl. It was very creamy! They also have apparel to purchase, T-shirts for $8!! WHAT?? That's crazy

Who doesn't like a little fried spam. Well me now.The spam roll was burnt and for a lack of better words DISAPPOINTING!! We order the Hawaiian chicken with extra pineapple and the Luau pulled pork with extra veggies and once again very DISAPPOINTING no extra pineapple or veggies and with tip and delivery charges my total was 50$$$ and not even close to what I exspect for 50 $$ this is my first time eating here it is new the only good thing I can say is it was fast delivery only took about 25 minutes driver was pleasant unfortunately the food is well below what I was hoping for. The spam was burnt not edible as you can see no extra vegetables no vegetables at all and no extra pineapple I do apologize for the negative review but it was honest.

Stopped by for lunch with my woman. The place was pretty empty but it smelled yummy. My chicken lunch plate was decent but not really hot. The macaroni salad was bland and had way too much mayo in it. I lived on Oahu for 3 years so I know what good Hawaiian food tastes like. Finally, a female employee just struck up a random conversation with us when I was trying to enjoy some quiet time with my girl....a bit annoying for sure. Basically a forgettable lunch.

Wonderful ambiance and always greeted upon entry! Jaquelin offered amazing service and gave us everything we need and was very accommodating. Food is always amazing and full of flavor!

New spot, tasty food, and great customer service! My boyfriend and I came to check this place out and was greeted by a friendly employee (shout out to Elise!). Elise showed us how to navigate the ordering screen and we successfully/ easily ordered our food I got the mixed plate with Huli Huli chicken & Molokai chicken and added pineapple. My bf got the Honolulu & Molokai chicken mixed plate and added veggies. They were both very tasty! I like how the chicken was seasoned, it was very flavorful and tender And we also tried the pineapple soft serve, super yummy. It's tart & light, refreshing for these hot days Definitely coming back for more and highly recommend checking out it out if you're in the area. It's nice having a healthier/ leaner fast food option around

We first went soon after it opened and we're impressed. The prices were good and the food was great. I try to visit twice before leaving a review though unless I'm just really amazed at the service. It was ok, but nothing to cheer about. We went back the other day and was floored at the price increases!!! When we visited after the opening, the price of a regular (they call it classic) was $9.95. I've included a picture of the original menu we were given for proof. When we went back the other day, a classic was $15.95 and a small was $10.95. The price increase in just a few months in outrageous!! It costs us $48 for 2 classic meals and a small. And the substitutions are ridiculous as well. I paid 50 cents to sub pineapple for the macaroni. I got ONE SLICE of pineapple. Absolute highway robbery!! We probably won't be returning.

I went through the drive through and service was speedy and efficient. I ordered the large Honolulu Chicken but the meat portion seemed small. This is the second time in recent weeks I've ordered the largest portion for my 16 year old son to have a hungry child after it's gone. I wish there was consistency on portion sizes. I also would like to know what exactly is increased with the large portion order. The Mac salad and rice was abundant but the meat did not seem to increase. I would've reached out to the restaurant directly but found no way to give feed back and did not get a receipt.

If you like chicken. They only had like 4 dishes. The sides were rice, seasoned vegetables and pineapple. I don't care much for rice.

My son wanted to try this place so we bought one of each of the four chicken lunches, large size, takeout at $16 each, for the family. The three styrofoam compartments contained a giant scoop of white rice, a giant scoop of macaroni salad, and a scoop of chicken chunks on top of yet more rice. If you love white rice and macaroni salad then maybe this place is for you. But after spending almost $80 for all that rice and macaroni, with a paltry scoop of very similarly seasoned chicken chunks, 4 cans of drink, I will not be returning. What little chicken there was tasted good though.

Okay so hear me out! Go and try them out! If you're trying to figure out what to try first, try the Molokai chicken, the strawberry soft serve and one of their fruit drinks in the cans! (Similar to the jumex drinks but not as thick) You honestly CAN NOT go wrong with anything that you choose from here! Customer service is phenomenal, food is out this world, the desserts be desserting (lol) Y'all take my word and check them out if you haven't already! Enjoy.

I ordered thru the Hawaiian Bros website, they use Uber to deliver. I received the wrong order. the driver told me that he was given the wrong order and he couldn't help. we called the store and they told us to call Uber. He suggested we cancell the order and he would refund. He suggested I place a new order, I did and finally got my food 2 hours after the original order. the food was room temp and didn't taste fresh. I love this store, but was so disappointed by the lack of customer service and ownership.

Great Hawaiian Teriyaki, Garlic and Spicy Chicken Dishes! Also... YOU CAN GET A FOLE WHIP! Hit the spot today. Would definitely recommend.

I'm giving this five stars because of the service I received from Selbin. I called at 11:48 and Selbin answered the phone. I have never heard someone so happy and chipper at 11:48 at night! This guy gave us the best customer service and was so kind at the drive thru window. Just because of our experience with him we'll be back. Mahalo!

Molokai Chicken & Luau Pig. Meat is very tender and tasty. Pork is a little bland as is the rice but the teriyaki sauce on the rice and the BBQ sauce on the pork works real nice.

I'm giving 5 stars because everything in the tray goes so well together. The macaroni salad is so good...like it has some black pepper country gravy mixed in. That paired with the white rice and a little bit of heat from the Molokai chicken mm mmmm...ya know ya want that.

Doesn't taste as good as it look. Maybe I was there on a bad day. In the menu it look tasty. The pull pork was dry, no flavor. Like what was it suppose to taste like? The chicken is okay, nothing special.

Service was super fast, however food was not great. The macaroni salad was just straight mayo and salt (emphasis on the mayo). I got the Huli huli and husband got the Honolulu one. Not good, over salted and nothing great tbh. The dole twist was good though! At least I can say I tried it now... just go to L&L. (Seriously, where are the short ribs?!?)

Lunch time and busy. Lots of helpful people. We went inside joined their rewards app and got a free doles soft serve. We got it as we left so it was like a desert. Not like any other fast food place I've been. No hamburgers and fries, sandwiches or tacos Each meal came in 3 sizes. Each meal comes with sticky rice and a side, your choice from the menu. You can order a combo of two main meats for a dollar extra. Let's you try more than one at a time. There were two of us so we tried 4 different items. All very good. The chicken items were amazing. Sauces were great, especially on the rice. Only one negative. The chairs inside, are just the right size for a small 4th grader and very stylish. We will be back!!!

Ordered uber eats late Wednesday night. Considering how far away I was the food came quickly and arrived hot. Nicely packaged. I ordered a mix of Huli Huli, Honolulu, and molokai chicken and all were tender and tasty. The luau pork was tender but had little flavor, however the meals come with a nice teriyaki sauce that you can pour over it and it worked nicely. The white rice and veggie sides were good, but as others mentioned the macaroni side is literally just warm mayonnaise and pepper. Pay the extra dollar and sub for veggies.

The food is good! My favorite is the spam musabi! The service is very rushed. Like they interrupt me while I'm ordering, that would be my only pet peeve.

Got our first delivery order from Hawaiian Bros tonight and really enjoyed it. Ordered Molokai and Honolulu chicken with regular rice, macaroni salad and a side of fresh mixed vegetables and everything was fresh, well prepared and delicious. Our order arrived to us quickly, was securely packaged and fulfilled exactly as we requested. Great job!

Stopped by for their grand opening in Rowlett and even though there was a line of people that wrapped the building and a bunch of cars flooding the drive thru, I saw lots of smiling faces amongst the staff and the people I spoke with were very friendly. Not to mention my mixed plate lunch was delicious!! I look forward to visiting again.
