From start to finish, my experience at Hawthorne & Wood was phenomenal. We chose the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings, and every course was a masterclass in flavor and presentation.
The evening began with a chilled pea soup accented with pistachio. This was vibrant, fresh, and the perfect opener. Next came perfectly seared scallops, delicate yet deeply flavorful. The third course, a tender pork shoulder with jalapeño and peaches, struck a flawless balance between savory heat and sweetness. The fourth course was a melt-in-your-mouth Angus beef filet, cooked to perfection and complemented by a robust red. To finish, the banana dessert was both comforting and inventive, a sweet finale that tied the meal together.
The wine pairings elevated each dish, highlighting the chef’s thoughtful menu progression. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere felt refined yet welcoming. Five stars without hesitation.
