Celebrated Japanese Restaurant Shizuku by Chef Naoko Has Reopened for Takeout | Eater Portland

"Construction at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater, historically the preferred August venue for Bend Brewfest, prompted organizers to cancel the 2023 event; in 2022 the festival was instead held in May at the Old Mill District." - Janey Wong

Nice setting to see a show. The food trucks are great with a good variety. Being from out of town, we assumed the time on the tickets was entry time, considering it was so early. Our loss. We missed the first 15 minutes of the opening act we flew to see. I was also kind of disappointed to see there was no designated "standing only" area near the stage. It was definitely giving a "stay off my lawn" vibe. Either way, I would definitely return to see a show here again.

Went to see Rufus du Sol there. It's was an amazing show. The concessions were awesome, free water, good NA selections, plenty of Alcoholic choices. Not a bad seat in the house. Pretty good sound, but have to say The Gorge has better sound. Would visit again. Very centrally located.

I've loved and will continue to love and appreciate this outdoor place perfect for concerts and events. The set up is perfect, food and drinks are always good, and the location is scenic. I've been here for 6 different concerts, and the acoustics and pricing has not disappointed once. We just saw Chicago at the end of this summer, and it was awesome! Did I mention it's by the river as well? Talk about an awesome place to see concerts during the summertime! The vendors they use at the events are all local businesses too, so yay for that. Bend is such a great place to be at, or just visit for the weekend anyways, but Hayden Homes Ampitheater makes it even better, and worth the 2hr drive from Lebanon for me.

Google
What a fantastic venue. We had our first concert there the night before last, and we were really impressed with the quality of the food vendors, as well as the attention to refillable water bottles and reduced waste with people manning the trash cans at the concert to sort the trash to limit material going to landfills. Proximity to bend is excellent. We walked to the venue from our hotel, the residence Inn. Highly recommended. I’m honestly not sure where you would park if you wanted to come here. There were a few shopping center parking lot nearby, but there is no large parking area otherwise that we saw. I think the other option which many people did would be to hang out in the river on paddle boards or inner tubes with an anchor and listen to the show. Have the show we went to there was no reserve seating, everything was general admission. There was a mixture of Astroturf and real grass. There were restrictions on the towel size you could bring, but they did not seem to be strictly enforced. The bag sizes and searching was the most thorough I’ve ever experienced with someone actually asking to look inside my hat. We would definitely come back here for another show. It really is a great venue.

Google
Fantastic concert venue! We drove over from Portland to see Bad Religion and Dropkick Murphys. My wife wasn’t aware of the ADA section when she bought tickets, so I called the venue on the afternoon of the show to ask about accessibility. The person that answered was extremely helpful. When we got to the venue, we were directed to ADA parking that was conveniently close to the VIP/ADA entrance. The staff was the most helpful and accommodating that I’ve ever experienced. The food and drink offerings are priced similar to other entertainment venues, and the quality is top notch. You’re allowed to bring in empty water bottles and they have free water refill stations around the venue. Throughout the show, I continued to be impressed by the staff and guest services. Before the night was over I found myself looking at the upcoming events just so I could have a reason to come back! Thank you to everyone that works there!

Machinima D.

Google
Seen Glass Animals at a sold out show! Would recommend VIP for early access but very pleased with the setup and crew was extremely friendly and commented on my red beard and outfit. Would drive again from California to attend another show.

Soren B.

Google
My friends and I saw a Glass Animals concert here and it was beautiful! Clean, lively, and very scenic. The location being right by the river is AMAZING, as the air was much cooler which helps a lot in a concert. So fun!

Google
First time attending a concert here! I was blown away how beautiful and organized this Amphitheater was. Sound system top notch and no real bad seat I. The place. Such a very positive experience and will attend many more moving forward.

Yelp
One of the best outdoor venues in Oregon. The location along the river in the Old Mill District is beautiful, with great sound, easy sightlines, and a lively crowd. Staff is friendly, parking's manageable if you plan ahead, and it's an easy walk from nearby restaurants and shops. On the downside, drinks are pricey, and food costs feel high for what you get. It can also get hot during afternoon shows since there's not much shade, and if wildfire smoke rolls in, it's up to the act to decide whether a show is canceled -- which makes things feel a little uncertain if you are traveling from out of town. Still, it's a great place to catch live music and one of Bend's best summer experiences.

Yelp
Just went to the Matt Rife comedy show here, which I was highly impressed with the layout and ease of getting around. The staff were amazing, from the 21+ banders to the recycling station person to the pamphlet passer outer people! Driving in and out was much easier than I thought it would be. I would say if you pay for parking, get in early to get a spot to get out faster. Some tips: -Bags need to be 6x9 or less. -But even better, don't bring a bag and you can go thru the no bag line! -Pick up earplugs from lost n found. -Bring an empty plastic bottle and refill at the bottle stations behind the premium seating box. Drinks were gawdly expensive like every event place, $24 for a drink :( I refuse to pay that much. Water it was! The nearest Ampitheater to me is the Ridgefield one, and it's so blah in comparison. Ridgefield - y'all need to check Hayden out!

Yelp
This may be hands-down one of my favorite amphitheaters that I have ever been to anywhere. My husband and I had come up for a long weekend to visit Bend and to see the Caamp concert. Since neither of us had ever been here before, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of parking and getting in and out of the amphitheater. I purchased with our tickets to the show a parking pass as well as two lawn chair rentals. We probably could've done without the parking pass as it is extremely walkable from the downtown Bend area, but with that being said, I have never gotten into and out of a parking lot at a music event as quickly as I did at this one. As for the chair rentals, they were absolutely essential and made the whole concert experience that much more enjoyable. Despite a thunderstorm that delayed the concert, the show was phenomenal and the venue itself had a very good layout and flow to it. They had a variety of food vendors, but we had eaten prior to the show so we weren't hungry and there were ample vendors selling alcoholic beverages so we never had to wait in line. The porta-potties were pretty clean and the entire experience at this venue from start to finish was incredible. I would definitely come back to a show at this amphitheater.

Yelp
This is a very fun venue! Very clean and everywhere is a good seat! I like standing in the pit and being close to the stage but anywhere is okay. It's very family friendly and the sound system is great!! I highly recommend any concert, it's reasonably priced and lots of fun!!
google avatar

Marissa F.

Yelp
What a fabulous amphitheater! We were in town for a wedding last weekend and found ourselves at Leon Bridges on Sunday night and it was spectacular! The venue is huge with ample grass seating and plenty of walking around area in the back. There was a large variety of vendors and booths to visit and VIP tents as well. We had a fabulous time walking around, listening to Leon and enjoying the outdoors. The amphitheater is right on the river so there were plenty of paddleboarders and kayakers getting a free concert!
google avatar

Devin R.

Yelp
Great outdoor venue, good little food trucks, sad that there is only honeybuckets but at least there is something. I agree with some others, you bring your yoga mat/blanket, rent chairs, or find a great spot.....and then everybody stands for 4 hours of a concert. WHY?!
google avatar

Lily C.

Yelp
I feel like I can confidently say that this is one of the absolute best venues I have been to in Oregon, not just because of the amazing views and open seating but also the friendly and helpful staff you encounter at every step of the event process. We recently attended Orville Peck and our group had a mixture of tickets, when we went to buy seats for the lawn for our general admission tickets we were offered an upgrade for a similar price where we would all be together. Not only was the upgrade way closer to the stage than our original plan, but it was also an easy process that we could get done even without our whole group present. Also most of us ate ahead, those who got food said they had a great selection. Highly recommend snagging tickets if you see a band you like coming out to Hayden Homes, can't wait to see who will be in next years line up!
google avatar

Chelsea C.

Yelp
This amphitheater gets 4 stars simply bc it's riverside atmosphere, which can also make it very cold and windy most nights. They have a decent array of food truck options, and if you go early the lines are low. It's a small venue but its setting is really lovely.
google avatar

Bill C.

Yelp
It's a bummer crowd control can't do their job. Especially where assigned seating is concerned. When they allow people to go up to the rail during assigned seating in front of the people that paid hundreds for their tickets, it's disgusting. Someone else needs to run this place.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
This amphitheater is a very good place to come to for an outside concert when the weather is good. It is located alongside the Deschutes River. There is plenty of parking in the amphitheater lot. There is also plenty of bike parking too. Once inside, there are food stalls to fill any belly, and there is also stadium style seating above the lawn area and stage.
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
What a great little outdoor amphitheater in the heart of beautiful Bend! The dude and I attended the Weezer concert here during a late summer visit. The weather was spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the grass and taking it all in while waiting for the concert to start. When the show finally began, i was blown away at the great job they did with lighting and the blow-your-eardrums-out sound system. Kinda made me wish I lived in Bend and could go to more concerts here! While a great place to view a show, this place boasts the usual headaches that can come along with such venues: expensive parking (or a longggg walk to the nearest free parking), ridiculously priced alcohol, and a long walk to the port-a-potties. Also, check their bag rules, as they're pretty strict (I found out the hard way).
google avatar

Cheryl B.

Yelp
Very nice venue - not a bad seat in the house and the lawn looked like fun. Really clean porta potties. A plethora of really great food trucks - highly recommend The Cuban Kitchen - very authentic and so yummy, they also have a restaurant in town.

West C.

Yelp
I really like the physical layout but you need to pick your spot very carefully. My wife and I spent a lot of money for seats in the 2nd row. The seats in the 1st row are allowed to stand up at the railing and generally do. The stage should be about 10 or 15 feet higher since the seats rise only a little as you go back. I am sure there is a seating strategy to deal with this but I don't know what it is. I stood the whole time and still could not see much. And they did not have the video turned on so that didn't help.

Tyler S.

Yelp
I have been to many apitheater in my days but this one is by far my favorite. There was a bunch of paddle boarders on the river which was cool to see. Great lighting, not too loud for a concert, and super duper fun.
google avatar

Mandi S.

Yelp
Great venue for an outdoor concert! Friendly staff and decent accommodations. For sure will be on the look out for future shows.

Elena S.

Yelp
Oh how I would love to leave 5 stars because this place has the potential to be amazing, as it is located along the river. But alas, they blocked the gorgeous view with a long line of Porta potties.

Yelp
Great Venue. Went 2 nights in a row. Great service. Good sound. Got rental chairs night 2. Night 1 was sold out. Staff seemed to be going their best to keep lights moving quickly.

Yelp
Incredible venue with a wonderful and hard-working staff. Everyone from the people directing traffic and parking to those at the food/drink booths, security and those in charge of landscaping. We just saw All That Remains/Mudvayne/Megadeth and it was probably the best concert-going experiences of my life. I barely waited at all in any line, wether that be for merchandise, drinks or to use the bathrooms. The entire premises were clean, easy to navigate, safe and comfortable, not a bad seat in the house. * as for paying the food/drink vendors just make sure you check before you accept the amount because they have their systems set to apply an automatic 18% grat. You have to manually click on "no tip" or on a different amount to tip.
google avatar

Cin S.

Yelp
Wonderful venue along the river. I can't wait to go back see another concert! Shopping, food, everything is close by
google avatar

Yelp
What a great venue! I don't think there's a bad seat in the house! The event staff were so friendly, the food and drink were delicious, and the music was incredible!

Yelp
Attended 5/29 Backroad Blues Festival. We had assigned seating, so no rush to try and get a lawn spot. Getting thru security was easy and quick, folks were kind and helpful. Several vendor booths. A few food options with moderate lines - I'd recommend eating before showing up. Several times we were asked whether we were drinking - they want to put a wristband on you if so to show you've been checked for age. Alcohol is available, and even have roving sales, which to me is not a good thing. Lots of people clearly inebriated. And annoyingly these drinkers need to make several trips to use restrooms and get more booze during the show. The roving vendors block the view for several minutes while they process sales on finicky wireless devices. The sound system Backroad Blues had was great, lots of punch and volume, so theyre not afraid to crank it up here. But they did have a 10pm curfew; so they had to start the show early, and the sun sets nearly behind the stage, blinding you. Many people were trying to buy sunglasses but none were to be found, and even if you had them, now you cant see the band. And I know Merchandise is not Hayden Homes, but I was very annoyed to have the person selling me a t-shirt spin the checkout screen around looking for a tip (I picked 'no tip'). Cmon. Ambiance is cool here.

Yelp
Countless shows enjoyed here, my review is overdue. Hands down, this is my favorite outdoor concert venue. --easy to get to and to leave from (no need to leave early, before the crowd leaves --welcoming staff and security check in--it's almost startling how genuinely welcoming the staff is here. Thank you for this warmth, concert after concert, year after year --easy to maneuver once inside the grounds--including access to venders, bathrooms, merchandise, seats, and spaces to sit and enjoy food and drinks --no trip hazards that I can find. Very, very safe --clean and well maintained --good selection of food and alcohol/ non alcoholic drinks --incredibly well managed and fully staffed --great stage, reserved seating, and sound / lights We will return again and again.

Yelp
This can be a nice venue to watch a concert, but you gotta watch out towards the end of summer. It's not the venues fault, but I went to a concert last night and it was a little too smoky for me to stay. I stayed for the opening act and then had to leave. This used to be a really great venue until they got all whacked out on pricing. Concerts here have gotten so expensive and the food carts are expensive too. You used to be able to bring in a short beach chair, now you have to rent one. And they are still sticking with Porta Potty's, which are relatively kept clean, but can we get permanent washing facilities at least?

Anne P.

Yelp
Love this venue! It is always clean and never to crowded. WE are so lucky to have such great bands come to Bend Oregon and such a great spot, out doors with the mountains as a backdrop. Food and drinks not so great, but that's ok we never eat or drink at concerts anyway.
google avatar

Lupus S.

Yelp
Very negative experience. Had two tickets to a concert. Bought the tickets and payed processing fees. Arrived before the show and then we were not allowed it because our tickets "didn't work".... Nobody helped us solve this problem... We were then told to buy new ticket at the ticket booth. When we asked the ticket booth if we could buy new tickets the woman in the booth proceeded to literally YELL at us and say she was done selling tickets for the night. Very disappointing. Rude staff and a big bummer of a night. Have had good times here before but not happy after tonight. Next time try to F***ing help us out instead of get mad at us
google avatar

Tori Y.

Yelp
Great venue. Extremely accessible by foot and by bike - I'm sure parking would be a challenge though. It's right on the river but that does not take away from the sound quality. Plenty of bathrooms and food/ drink options. Such a cool spot.
google avatar

Kodi T.

Yelp
I attended a show this summer after not being at the amphitheater for years. It's so beautiful and has become a lot more professional and buttoned up over the years. They have a lot more rules now about seating and blankets so make sure to look on their website. Parking was also a bit confusing for me as we ended up parking on a street much further away when apparently there was free parking behind the venue? That didn't seem very clear. Nonetheless, the setting is beautiful and the sound quality is great. Staff are friendly and the prices are typical event prices.
google avatar

Selena N.

Yelp
We went here for a Beck concert. I wasn't sure how it would go given the reviews. I don't understand the role of no chairs allowed or even blankets. They charge $10 a chair and there were plenty there. Seemed like a way to make money. Aside from that it was ok. Found way parking nearby and the place was clean and we had a great view of the stage via General seating. Great food choices. We really enjoyed the concert
google avatar

April R.

Yelp
I can't say enough how great this huge outdoor music venue is. It's the best. There is nothing like enjoying live music outside under the stars. Lots of food options available too. Staff are friendly and seem to love the shows as much as the guests. There is not a bad seat in the whole place!!! We've sat in the seats up front and on rented chairs in the very back of the grass. Like I said, not a bad seat in the place!! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Bend.
google avatar

Maggie M.

Yelp
I've been going to shows here since I was a kid. Overall I've always had a very good experience in the past. The staff is extremely friendly and definitely the highlight of attending a concert at the amphitheater. They go out of their way to be kind and see if you need assistance when walking around. The venue also have refillable water stations if you bring your own bottle. That being said, recently they've made some changes that didn't sit well with me. No blankets can be brought in, no personal chairs--you have to rent their rickety ones. This had never been a problem in the past, but they have to make that easy $$ I guess and people did shell out for it. It also smelled so strongly of marijuana I had to leave my spot near the stage and go to the back because it was literally being blown in my face, and it was almost impossible to fight through that crowd which had blocked ever paved walkway. For people needing this paths for ADA access it would have been impossible. Honestly while I have fond memories at Bend I'll probably just drive the little extra time it takes to get to Edgefield if they have the same shows because it's a much less stressful experience.
google avatar

Kelli K.

Yelp
Great venue ! Saw James Taylor The acoustics were amazing ! The event staff was very personable and extremely helpful , offered to shuttle us to our vehicle . ADA accessible, and security very pleasant everyone enjoyed there jobs
google avatar

Mark D.

Yelp
Over sold venue. Lies about the amount of chairs available saying they were out but still providing them to people for cash under the table. I brought my own chairs but was told I couldn't bring them in. Ran the sprinklers for hours before the show so the ground was soaking wet. Sound was terrible the crew was adjusting it the whole time and never really got it right. 300 people on staff everywhere but still marijuana blowing in your face and over serving. This place doesn't care one bit about entertainment, 100% in it for the $$. Boycott
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
I haven't even gone to a show yet but I'm gonna post a review about procedures. I have mobile tickets for Bob Dylan on Monday evening. Now I'm not the most tech savvy guy but if my tickets are on my mobile phone but mobile phones aren't allowed and I'm not allowed to print my tickets how does this all work? If I place my phone in some container after entry then go to my seat and someone else is sitting in it how do we settle the mix up? Is the container the phone is in my property or someone else's property? If I accidentally leave the venue with the container how do I get my phone out? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest the producer is a string short on their guitar and didn't think this through. On another note it's forecast to be 98 degrees does the venue provide free drinking water and will I be allowed to bring a refillable container?

Matt S.

Yelp
Concert was outstanding. John Waite, Styx, and Foreigner put on a fantastic show. Almost everything about the venue was incredible. I say "Almost" because I feel I need to warn folks about the food and drink vendors. After returning home we looked at our credit card bill for the night. One of the vendors charged us over $50 for one of the food/drink items. Not one thing we ordered that night was even close to $50. I realize it is my job to read the bottom line before hitting the pay button, but this was blatant. So, to anyone considering buying tickets to an event here, double check the bottom line before tapping that pay button or you might get a nice surprise like we did.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
i have been to 4 shows this year and going to my 5th tonight. The line to get in moves along quickly. The staff checking bags and tickets is efficient and friendly. The only problem I have seen is people that are not real tech savvy with their phones, but the staff always tries to help. Or the person trying to sneak something in. Good selection of food and drinks. I get the chair rental thing. In previous years, you would see people complaining about, "well you let his chair in why not mine". Rent a chair, you don't have to carry it from your car, they are comfortable, and not much money. The sun can be scorching, but is usually behind the trees about 730 or so. The only complaint I have is WINE IN A CAN. You can get a drink in a cup, why not wine? Lastly, to all those complaining about everything, parking is free and you are by one of the most beautiful places around. Bend, OR
google avatar

Shon K.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool place to watch a sow, though not much shade or stadium style seating. Be prepared for the weather no matter what time of year, enjoy the scenery and try not to drink too many of the Bend microbrews! :)

Robert S.

Yelp
I have had mostly good experiences when the previous sponsor was Les Schwab. True, seating arrangements could be better, but that could be said for just about any outdoor venue. But one of the things I like to do, is sit at home at my desktop and cruise the venue web site for information, merchandise, and buy tickets. The Les Schwab site was great for that: easy to find info, tickets, etc. Not so on the new web site of Hayden Homes (bendconcerts.com). The web site displays just fine on mobile apps, but on desktops, more than half of the screen is consumed with the new logo and it just stays there! Desktop users are relegated to a small (half the screen), scrollable area at the bottom of the screen. The logo area in the image attached never goes away, no matter where you are on the website. I realize mobile apps are in great use today (55%), but to alienate the desktop audience with a "forever" logo that makes the web site almost useless to the 42% of users who own desktops. Not a good business practice and a horrible web design. I would hope they fix this soon. All in all, though, I look forward hopefully to a great 2022 concert season.

Randy W.

Yelp
I have two big complaints with this venue. First is the fact that they don't have permanent restroom facilities, just a big row of nasty porta-potties. The second complaint concerns venue greed. As of this year you are no longer allowed to bring your own lawn chair to shows. If you want to sit in a seat, you are forced to rent one from the venue for $10 or park your butt on the astro turf. For the time being you are still allowed to bring a towel to sit on, but that will probably change too as they do all they can to entice (force) you to rent a chair from them.

A M.

Yelp
Saw Lord Huron here. The Good: Great show and very friendly staff. The Bad: The stage sits so low despite the towering structure above it. Why they didn't think to use all that wasted space above to raise the stage high enough that it's not hidden by the sound tent and the crowd seems dumb. Combine that with the non-existent slope of the "theater" seating area and it really doesn't provide good viewing at all. Also, what's with people that go to a concert and then just sit and talk the WHOLE time? They don't even listen to the music or watch the act. "Hey wanna pay money to go sit on the grass and try to talk over the live music and then tell your friends you went to see Lord Huron and they were really great (maybe?, I dunno, I didn't listen or watch)."
google avatar

Dean N.

Yelp
Wanna spend 30 dollars for a single drink, sit on the ground because they didn't have enough chairs to rent then come on down. Live Nation took over this venue and it's gone way down. Tourists may not know the difference - but locals who consistently support this venue do. If you're looking for service and value go elsewhere.

Morgan D.

Yelp
I can't believe how bad they messed this amphitheater up. Now, this is the worst venue I have been to. They completely ruined the amphitheater and the great set up they had in 2021. I hope you don't want to see the stage well if you get general admission. And they also encourage everyone to "rent" a chair to clog up the lawn that is available to those that didn't want to pay a ridiculous amount for their ticket. Please make this more about the MUSIC and the experience for EVERYONE. This goes to prove that all Bend wants is money through numbers. They also raised drink prices 80%. THANKS HAYDEN HOMES!!!
google avatar

Idanna H.

Yelp
I was so disappointed. While I can understand that some of these ridiculous regulations are for security, some are just for money. The one that got to me though, was being asked to open my medication bottle. I am a registered nurse and I know that no person, under any circumstance, is required to open their medication or even show it, and that it violated a person's right to medical privacy. Other venues allow medication to be brought inside the venue while concealed inside of a nonclear bag, as medication affords it's own privacy. This medication was not cannabis. It was a prescription that I have to bring with me for emergencies. It is literally a potentially life saving medication. It is prescribed to me. It was in it's own bottle with my name on it. However, none of that is information I'm legally obligated to provide to anyone. I was asked to produce the medication and show it to staff or take it back to my car. I tried to reach out to the venue to have them make it right before leaving this review, and hopping they'd tell me this was a one off situation, and make it right. But they did not respond and it has been two weeks. I will not be returning to a place I can not have my medication.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Probably the worst amphitheater experience I've ever had. The new ownership is ruining the experience. Choose to drive over from Portland to experience a weekend in bend instead of going to show in Portland, but will never do it again. This place has the nerve to not allow outside blankets or chairs. This resulted in the whole audience sitting in rental lawn chairs and completely ruining the entire experience.. I've never seen this at amphitheater before, where the goal is to lay on a blanket in the sunshine. Instead, this was essentially a stadium show outside I'll opt for the Edgefield and Ridgefield legs of every tour from now on. The new ownership has ruined this venue.
google avatar

Yelp
Not a place for families. Hayden Homes Amphitheater has the type of employee that refused my 13 year old disabled daughter access to the ADA port o potty. Made her walk 100 yards to the other side of the venue when walking is what is hardest for her. I can only assume the employee thinks it is necessary for someone to be in a wheelchair in order for them to be disabled. Ignorant and lacking in compassion but in charge of who gets to be considered disabled at Hayden Homes Amphitheater.

Rastaphibian ..

Yelp
I'd honestly give it negative stars if I could. So much better was in the past, when it was an amazing venue I always looked forward to visiting for a few shows a year. Don't worry Hayden Homes reps told us these changes were all for our safety. This isn't about safety it's about squeezing you for your $$. That's what we got here folks. Evil corporate greed in full daylight here. Let's not shade this with safety rhetoric. No chairs... Cool. Then why have rentals available for 20 bucks? Yeah please search my chair I'd have brought in. No blankets? $20 for a rental? Again search my lawn blanket, that I know has been recently laundered. I'm used to getting searched at concerts, no biggie that's the norm. Your are allowed to bring in a towel though, probably to wipe your backside from the reaming you get in the form of drink & food prices! Whoa Nelly! You'd think it was gold in them beer cans. Yeah those are $10 a piece. Don't me started on the cocktails; you'd get better served in Vegas playing the penny slots. Sure I get it, concert drinks aren't cheap, doesn't take a scientist to know that, but really I shouldn't have to take a personal loan out to have a good time, should I? Maybe I shouldn't have said that (Coming soon at HHA, get a credit account and enjoy a paltry payment per month). Any way.. Don't bring a purse in or a pack, if you need to carry anything in. Yeah sorry honey, kids are screwed cause, forget bringing them in anything like a set of sound dampening earphones, a sweatshirt, a toy or perhaps sunblock. Dang hope there is no need for diapers or wipes. Clearly it's all about safety... Right? Ok so I can purchase a $16+ bag that's see through. Again.. Really? Yes it has a HH logo to boot! Or you can option for a complimentary handle bag that barely holds anything (lunch sack size). Here's the real kicker... No one searched anything!! No one looked at any of the things I brought in. Honestly no pat down, no looking at what I pulled from my illegal tiny bag of kid items and stuffed into my very, very tiny free bag. Security? Safety? Yeah ok... Let's be real here. These folks don't care about that. They want your money in stupid ways. I'm not an idiot, if they were so concerned with the safety of everyone they'd actually search you. They asked... "Anything in your pockets?" Lol... Yeah nothing in here! Said the Taliban to the TSA! No weapons or mail files here, just some lip balm and diapers so my kids can be comfortable and be safe! in a SAFE manner. Thank god my kids don't have hypoglycemia or diabetes, cause I would have had to hide those supplies in my prison wallet! They might've found them when they bent me over to bone me dry. Probably not, as they don't actually look. I spent more money on blankets/chairs than I paid for tickets for my family! The management will say it's all the same people who worked there from the previous sponsor, sure they need their jobs, and they aren't the rule makers. They made that clear. Many of those loyal workers shared quite a few horror stories! I don't blame them, I blame greed. Blatant corporate greed, it's rampant here, I can choose not to partake in overpriced food and drinks. But I wont choose to not make my family comfortable! What's so unsafe about low-back chairs and blankets I'm unaware of? This isn't about safety folks... Don't let them fool you. I never felt unsafe for a moment in the past. I'm not buying it and I'm certainly not giving any more of my business to the venue or it's sponsors. I'll continue to share this review with everyone. I'm done with any concerts in this venue for good. And these silly reviews of the people saying they enjoyed their cabana experience or catered tent time. Of course they did! They paid way too much for that.. I'm sure. Things are changing I get it, however one thing hasn't... Exploiting people is bad for business.

Yelp
Went to see Nine Inch Nails here and drove from the Seattle area. Had recently had some mobility issues and called the venue as the show was HA with no seating. They were very gracious and caring. Got us ADA parking and seating with no questions asked. 10/10! So unexpected from a concert venue. Staff at the show were equally caring and understanding. Will def come back.

Yelp
Came here for the first time recently to see Jason Isbell & Father John Misty. I decided to go last minute and it was easy to buy a will call ticket online an hour beforehand and it was easy to pick up when I got there. Security was quick to get through too but they do check EVERYTHING. Inside is beautiful and to me it felt no matter where I was I had a good "seat". I sat in the grass at the very back and still felt I could see/hear everything. They had some interesting choices for food carts and I was able to find a hard cider to drink as well. They take recycling very seriously here and there are employees specifically for watching where you put your trash which I found neat and helpful! I really enjoyed myself and appreciated the amount of well-stocked porta-potties they supply, and also loved all the people walking around barefoot. I'm really hoping I will have a reason to come back again this summer!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our show at the Amphitheater this past summer. It was a beautiful location to see a concert and is nicely maintained. My husband is disabled so we were excited to find out they had a dedicated seating area for folks in wheelchairs etc., with a pretty good view too. There was even an awesome gentleman in a wheelchair who was the "host" for the area, he greeted us and made sure we were comfortable and requested chairs etc. Our biggest issue with the disabled seating area though was a serious lack of servers, by the time the server got to us it was over an hour into the concert, which was nuts. It took less time and frustration to walk all the way out to the main food and drink area to get something than wait, woefully understaffed. That being said, we did enjoy the venue, although if it rained prior the event, the venue would be a complete nightmare for someone is a wheelchair to get around. Good view, good drinks, friendly staff and we loved we could stay in a hotel right next door within walking distance.
