I love pizza, I love beer! This place does both extremely well. I went in and asked for a pizza that is underappreciated, but is extremely good. They gave me the Elote! We also ended up, ordering the dragon and the potato bacon pizza. All three were exceptional. The suggestion was a surprise because I had corn never had a pizza with corn. The beer is a standalone we had the cold dark night, perkunas, house cider and my favorite the indignant, dirty chai. This is gonna be a place to stop by on a harvest toast in the future single overnight from where we are as well worth coming out. We did leave with two growlers.

My friend and I had dinner here, and the pizzas were great. The wood firing gives an extra flavor, and the toppings were delicious. My pizza had BBQ sauce and pulled pork among other toppings, and I enjoyed every bite. The beer was also quite nice, and I’d recommend trying the Baltic porter. It’s definitely a decent place to enjoy a meal or night out.

My family and I have visited on multiple occasions, but this is the first time in four years. We enjoy eating wood-fired pizzas, especially those at Haymarket. We ordered the pepperoni, sausage, cheese, and Margherita pizzas. Each one was very flavorful, and we couldn't stop at 2 slices each because it was that good. A great balance of a bright and flavorful sauce and creamy fresh mozzarella cheese. I don't usually eat pizza with char, but I will eat these all the time. For our appetizer, we ordered the Pretzel. The pretzel was soft and had a nice chew, but the dipping sauces were not good at all. The Gouda cheese sauce tasted chunky like it had separated, and the hot cheese sauce had a very undesirable flavor. To me, they should create a beer cheese sauce with one of their house beers. I drank the Relief Peacher, a Peach infused IPA, and it was a very easy beer to drink with this pizza.

I order wood-fired pizza every chance i get. Haymarket is easily one of the best I've ever had. The Classic Supreme had perfectly charred crust and just the right amount of toppings. I ordered extra onions and added garlic. It was sublime. They also have a selection of dark beers that are exceptional. Pro-tip: if you want pizza, they don't serve it on Wednesdays.

Great place to enjoy a lunch and some tasty beer. The elotes pizza and French onion dip were exceptional. I also really enjoyed the Lost in Jalisco sour! We came with a huge group (8 adults and 5 kids), and they were able to accommodate us. The kids had fun and liked the food.

What a fun spot for fabulous pizza and great brews! Sit at the bar, you will be well taken care of. We got Elote and the Bad Dragon- perfect crust, toppings, balance, and they arrived so quickly. Thanks guys, keep up the great work! We’ll be back.

Staff was friendly overall. Nice outdoor area that includes some fire pits and they have wood stacked you can burn. Dogs allowed in the outdoor area. Beer was good. Pizza was good. Crispy crust but not overcooked. Good flavor. They had a water bowl for the pup as well.

I love an Octoberfest beer, and this was the best one I have had in years. It had a rich malty aroma and a wonderful, toasty malt body with a well-attenuated crisp finish. This was a perfect festbier.

Outdoor beer garden is SO CUTE! Firepits, sweet indoor area, big bar. Perfect brewery vibe. Vincent was so fabulous recommending beers and saving my 6 pack in the fridge while we were finishing up! There was a rehearsal dinner which was adorable but took up a bunch of the indoor and outdoor area. There was still enough room for everyone! You other at the "order here" sign and they bring it to your table. The Haz Z is the BEST BEER!!

The honey ale here is good. Chopped salad and Caesar salad were just ok. Seems like a bagged mix, not the best lettuce. The dill ranch is on the thin side but the flavor is good. Caesar dressing was ok. Peanut and shallot dressings were ok but not something I would feel a need to try again. I will stop in to try the pizzas sometime. Service is friendly. Plates sitting out on the tables is unsanitary. I would not grab the top plate for sure.

Price - 4/5 Food - 5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Service - N/A (pretty much self service) In my opinion this is the best pizza in the area. Wood fired pizza can't be beat. They have classics like a Margherita as well as unique flavors such as potato with bacon and spicy pepperoni with goat cheese (my favorite). If you go for the beer you also won't be disappointed. There's a reason this is a local favorite.

We really like coming to Haymarket when we're in the area, which is frequently. Mainly like coming when it's warmer and the grandkids can run around the yard and play some cornhole while the pizza bakes. This time it was just 2 of us. Thought we'd just have a beer and split a pizza, which really isn't very large. A pizza is about enough for 1-1/2 people, though I haven't seen many 1/2 people. I got my usual Blood Orange Blonde Ale, which is extremely refreshing, especially in Summer (which it is not currently). For food: Thought we'd go simple and just have a Margerita pizza for $15. Ordered it with extra cheese for an additional $2. Traditionally it comes with Basil cooked on the top, though I prefer it sprinkled on fresh after baking. This visit was one of the reasons why I like it added fresh, as you can see the "doneness" of the basil. In any event, it still tasted good, though it seemed to not have extra cheese, though I was assured that it was extra. Doesn't look like it IMO. I normally would consider Haymarket a 4-5 Star place, but this visit goes as a definite 3, totally due to the food and especially cashier/bar area attitude and lack of the usual friendliness. Sorry, Guys. Do better next time.

This place popped up a few years ago. Let's just say it gets better. I travel for a living and really enjoy finding these gems. I tried the newest pizza on the menu and someone was very gratuitous and bought me a beer for trying it there for feedback. Great right. So I sat there enjoying the newest beer with the newest wood fired pizza, I couldn't stop at one slice. They have plenty of seating family style inside but weather permitting there are plenty of tables outside as well. Please stop in and savor the tastes and smells of this place. You won't be disappointed.

If I could give 10 stars I would. We are in town from Indianapolis for a wedding and found this GEM. FABULOUS beer, food, and music. What more could you ask for? I will make the 2.5 hour trip back just to come here. I got a flight and we shared the Bad Dragon. This pizza works magic in your mouth - just saying.

This place is awesome. They have a arcade and a outdoor bar/area with fire pits and bags. The service is great and easy they give you a paper with the menu on it and you check mark what you want. The food is awesome. The music is always good and it's all fun. I recommend the bad dragon

Second time here, but this time was just to order for take-out. Disappointed that they do not take orders online for takeout. You must show up first, and wait around for your order. This is my big complaint about the place. Does not really make economic sense. I thought I'd try an unusual pizza this time: the shallot pie ($16). It was excellent, but definitely not your normal pizza. Has a "sweet" taste, no tomato sauce. I would get it it again. The crust was perfect. One size only: approx 12-13" diam. Can be considered a personal pizza if you are hungry (I was, and I ate the whole thing.) I also got a 4-pack of their "Lost in Jallisco" sour beer -- which paired very well with the pizza (though a bit expensive at $12.50 for 4-pack). I would also get this beer again (I like the sour beers. Not all people do.) No house made potato chips were available -- a big disappointment (since these are the best.) Oddly: there is no menu posted. You must either look online ahead of time, or ask for a menu (which they apparently only want to give out to those who are sitting at tables). Very strange. Seemed to be doing a good business.

Found this place and we decided to give it a try. We tried the Margherita Pizza and it was very good. They have indoor and outdoor seating and if you want to bring your dog you can. If you are looking for a quiet place then this won't be a choice for you.

This was a great first stop for a long weekend in Michigan-- they have a beautiful outdoor area with picnic tables and fire pits. It was so enjoyable sitting by the fire with a drink and a snack. I really liked the wood-fired pizzas but I think we showed up right at the tail end of their summer offerings so nothing on the drink list really spoke to me. They have a couple things on what I assume is their updated menu that I would definitely try though! If my beer loving friends thought any of their choices were standouts, I don't remember what they said (so maybe that's on me?) Tip- Ask one of the staff members for help if you're hopeless at starting a fire!

Who's missing draft beer? Ten dollar growler fills at Haymarket. Take your pick. $15 for the barrel aged. Haymarket has a great space, with a huge patio and roll up garage doors. They take beer and safety seriously, and we've always felt safe here. For food I always get the sausage and giardiniera pizza. It's an excellent combo, and if you haven't tried giardiniera on a pizza-it's great. The soft pretzels are also really good. Lately we've been coming for carryout sixes and growler fills. Hazy is lazy IPA, Blood orange blonde, oscars pardon Belgian ale, Mathias IPA, Imperial saison and barrel aged doppelbock all very highly recommended. Did I mention fills are only ten bucks?!? Love ya Haymarket!

Usually they're good, but here's today's debacle: We were quoted 20-30 min wait at 4:50 pm for outdoor seating. After 40 minutes of waiting, we were told that our place in line had not changed. Then we started to hear murmurs that they were out of pizza... what?! That's the majority of their menu. After again checking in with the hostess, they disclosed that they were in fact out of pizza. Finally, a hostess announced it to the 20ish people waiting outside that they were out of pizza. We left and forfeited our place on line and went to Tapistry.

We came here years ago for a lunch stop on our wine tour. The service that we received was... horrendous, at best. We waited over 50 minutes to be served our food for a table of 6, and we were greeted with eye rolls and "okay.....?" when mentioning the food was incorrect and it had already been an incredibly long wait. Fast forward to this summer, and we returned because they were one of the only local spots open with plenty of outdoor seating. Imagine our surprise when our food was yet again incorrect. The weird thing was they tried to convince us we had ordered what they served (even bringing out a bill that wasn't ours saying "see!!! You DID order this"). My husband had to pull out our receipt to show the discrepancy, again met with an "oh....." No apology. No acknowledgment of a mistake. But you bet we had another 45 minute wait for the correct pizzas to be made. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I guess I'm the fool in this case.

We were in town visiting family and they were very excited to share this place with us. The space is beautiful and a gorgeous outside patio. It was unfortunately raining the night we went but the patio would have been perfect on a beautiful night. There are limited seating on the inside. We were given paper menus while we waited. When it was our turn, we were told our table number without further explanation. We found our own table and there were no employees available to answer your questions until you were ready and got in line for the cashier. They encouraged 1 member of each party to go up to limit the number of people in line. There was a miscommunication on what drinks we wanted in a flight vs full size. I felt like it could have been easily avoided if there were more interaction between their employees and their guests. We did appreciate them making it right. The pizzas we ordered were delicious! My husband and I got the Bad dragon. It had jalapeños, honey, goat cheese, pepperoni, and mozzarella. That is not a combination we would have put together ourselves and it was absolutely delicious! I think the pizzas were the best part of our visit.

Food is always fresh and tasty. The beer selection is a wide variety of flavors, and whether it's summer or fall they are excellent at serving you and making it a great experience. The outside area is very well laid out and comfortable. Great brewery!

We had been craving Hearth and Market pizza. My husband and I were thrilled to hear Haymarket was selling them! We decided to make the trip to bridgeman to grab some pizza. I got my normal order of a margarita pizza while my hubby got a pepperoni pizza. I didn't go out to Haymarket with him but he said the building was really nice and everything looked awesome. My pizza was as great as i remember and can't wait to come back to Haymarket for some of their food and back to Hearth and Market at their new Bridgeman location when they reopen in September.

So good. Outdoor seating was fabulous... choice of Adirondack chairs or picnic tables, everything's numbered and organized. There was some live music outside. The guy took tips via Venmo. :) We got an elote pizza and a cheese pizza for four people and the cobb salad. Super good and fresh, would recommend! The beer was great too, we got a Saison and a hazy IPA. Great find, hidden back off between two country roads.

Both I and my husband absolutely loved this place and I am honestly surprised it doesn't have more than 4 stars. Everything was top notch. We got the Bianca (with added sausage) and the Pepperoni and Sausage pizzas and both were incredible. This is all I want out of a pizza: thin crust, wood fired, with high-quality, well-balanced ingredients. The brew selection was extensive and we both ended up with drinks we were happy with, the Doppelbock and the Bollocks English Barleywine. Service was super warm and welcoming, it was a fun and casual environment, and the prices were spot on (with tips and tax included WHAT?!). Seriously, we can't wait to go back on our next trip to Michigan. Love love love.

The dog friendly outdoor area is one of the reasons we found this place. The beer is good and they have a decent spread of options. The pizza options are awesome. Off beat but amazing toppings and an excellent crust make this a place that we try to hit every time we are in the area.

I need to start that I am a visitor to the area, and post covid (July 15) I am disappointed how the entire resort area community are appreciating your being here, but not ready! Haymarket informed us as we got there no pizza to night, just burgers. Well right after ordering the announcement came "no more burgers"! There were no other menu items!

My family and I went here while on vacation after looking up some local spots, and we were unfortunately not overly impressed. The pizzas were pretty good but a lot smaller than expected, so we had to order an extra, and the salad was mediocre and seemed overpriced for what it was. Our salad and pretzel also didn't come out until we asked about them multiple times (they finally arrived about 10 min after the pizzas). Overall, the service was just poor. We had to wait around 40 minutes to be seated, and there was no room to have a drink while waiting, which was disappointing. Rather than having waiters/waitresses, we had to stand in a long line at the front to order our food and drinks. The food was delivered to our table, but we had to keep fetching our own beers from the same line we ordered food from. The large outdoor space also seemed underutilized. I'm not sure if these issues were due to a lack of staffing or Covid or perhaps a mix of both, but it seems like current protocols could have been met while being much more efficient than they were. Hopefully we just caught them on a bad night.

Good beers and seltzers, and good bar food to compliment the drinks. They have a potential gold mine, that they fail to take it to the next level. They run this place like a normal restaurant, and that's where they lose the me. The drawback is the lack of involved management to give this place the feel that the other local breweries have like Watermark, Greenbush and North Pier. This is not Illinois, and people don't want it to be.

Just ordered drinks, we had no food this time. This is a nice open place with a nice area to sit outside. I see a lot of people eating wood fired pizzas. This is a great place if you are in the area.

Limited menu but the pizza is the real thing. Fun. Casual. Dog friendly. Beer lover's dream. Perfect escape from the beach crowd.

Pizzas are delicious, and there are lots of different topping options. Sitting outside is the best. You can play corn hole too!

We stopped here for dinner on our way through town. All I can say is Wow! This place is fantastic! They offer outdoor seating, require masks, have disposable menus, and are extremely careful about everyone's safety. We were afraid that there might be a long wait on a Friday night, but we were seated at a campfire spot within 5 minutes of our arrival. We didn't get a table per say, but we did get two very comfortable Adirondack chairs and a whiskey barrel to put our drinks and food on. We filled out our menu, my husband brought it inside, paid for our food, and when it was ready they brought it out to us. We ordered the house chips and the sausage and pepperoni pizza. Then we enjoyed our surroundings as we waited for our food to come out. The food was great, and since we paid for it when we ordered it we didn't have to wait for our waiter to come back with the check. That was really nice. When we were done we just got up and left. I still can't get over how brilliant that was! This is a must come back to spot if I'm ever in lower Michigan in the future.

Good beer. The pizza and chili we OK. But the stout and piña colada seltzer were very good.

Definitely off the beaten path, and definitely a local watering hole vibe, but very good. We had the pretzel and the Bad Dragon pizza, and two beers. Everything was delicious, and the only reason they got 4 instead of 5 stars was the music was so loud that I couldn't hear the person sitting right next to me, and I just wanted to relax.

Open wall/door concept is very cool and encourages people do eat outside. Great sandwiches and pizza :)

I love this restaurant, but call before you go because they don't have pizzas on Wednesdays and frequently are closed. Bad dragon pizza is the main reason I go here.

The Taproom was VERY crowded about 6:30 on a Friday night, that being said it takes awhile to get the food. The staff were busy, but helpful. The chips are a good snack. The side of green beans are excellent!! Our favorite pizza was the Caramelized Shallot, with Pepperoni & Sausage as the runner up. The Vegan pizza was okay, don't think we'll try it again.

Of the local breweries, this is the best for families, and it is just easy. Good beer, good brick-oven pizzas. We miss the pre-pandemic homemade sausages, but I assume whoever was making those quit during the pandemic. Really the setting is just great, inside and out.

Always great when we go in! My favorite is the bad dragon pizza- it never fails! The atmosphere is so welcoming and homey! Definitely recommend!

We came here on Wednesday for the pizza that we remembered was great. We quickly learned that because there were not enough peopleon this Wednesday evening, they were not going to make pizza. I don't know if this is every week or just today. But beware. Because what you have left is a soggy cheeseburger which I could have gotten at any fast food restaurant. What a disappointment. So beware if you're going to Haymarket, for pizza, better call in advance.

If someone could design a building that would be pandemic safe, it would be Haymarket Brewery. The outdoor area is massive, the indoor area is brought outdoors via garage door, and the line to pick up carryout beer is seamless. Well done!

Ok so with Covid going on there have been LOTS of drastic changes to the restaurant and bar industry. I understand that as I have worked in and still do currently work in the bar industry myself. I think its super important as a business to practice safe procedures for a dining experience for both the customers and the employees sake. That being said... my visit here today was just freakin' awkward. Walked in, host was super unenthusiastic and said I needed a mask (which I was totally fine with, I left mine at home today ‍) so I asked if they had any and she said "we have a limited supply" and just stared at me. Blankly. Didn't say anything. no idea what that was about hahahaha didn't know if she was trying to insinuate I buy one or not but it was just confusing and weird. Once inside, you're given a beer check list with a table number on it so find your corresponding table and sit. You write down your order on a beer check list and bring it up to the bar. Bartenders didn't say hello or anything, just said "that's it? 6.50" and I paid with my card...and the strangest part...you can't leave a TIP.......absurd. They take cash donations for charity which is great and all but I don't go to any bar, brewery, restaurant, club, etc without tipping. It's unheard of. I know what it's like working in a bar and TIPS ARE HOW WE GET PAID. I would have asked why but both bartenders just walked away. They seemed like they didn't wanna be there in my opinion. Bartenders should be friendly and outgoing. Not non-talkative and miserable looking. There are better spots in the area.

My husband's favorite and I concur!!! Looooove this place! Beer, pizza, ambiance, service we're here often... since they opened... have never disappointed us!

Great beer selection. Tasty pretzel with beer cheese and spicy mustard. And classic pizza ... all were delicious. Very fast service and the pay ahead system works great when it's time to bolt. Oh, and THE BEST MUSIC EVER!!!! I'm so sick of "top 40" BS, and they were playing Tribe, then James Brown. I wanna shake the hand of the person who controls their playlist. Top notch!!

Worst place ever. I understand the difficulty with hiring staff post Covid but for the owner and manager to holler at guests when they were simply following instructions from another employee. You do not deserve to be in that position..

Best pizza this side of the Atlantic! The beer is even better! And the staff is simply amazing! Good live music too ! Highly recommend!!!!

The wood fired pizza is phenomenal. We had the Elote and the Sausage with giardiniera. Both were just fantastic. The beer selection has something for everyone. They have "beer flavored beers", barrel aged barley wines and seltzers and any brewery that plays old school Motley Crue is ok in my book. Two star deduction for the weird ordering process that has you stand in line. It's fine if you get there early, otherwise you might as well order a beer and get back in line to order your next one. Ballast Point in California does this for some weird reason and for that reason I haven't been back. I don't feel the need to make that many transactions on my card.

Found the set up to be unique for ordering given a menu and pen this way you get what you want with no mistakes a good description is given for the food. The music playing is classic vinyl bringing back memories with the old school speakers it's a set up of both indoor and outdoor seating and pet friendly. Loved the art work going towards the bathrooms and the bathroom signs

REALLY good oven baked pizza. First one came out less than perfect and the manager came over without us saying a word and made a fresh one (put us to the head of the line). That's what you call great restaurant chops! Will definitely come back.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Pizza always turns out great. Always a large variety of beers on tap.

7/21/22 6:10 pm......The Haymarket...maybe it should be....Hey, don't go their! Walked in with miss wifey and the hostess was as sweet as she could be! Got seated at bar and Was immediately accosted by DJ. RBF. Expressionless, no smile, no friendly, no welcome, no happy, no way. Maybe her blonde pony tail was pulled back too tight? Maybe she was contemplating life? Regardless, she gave us an immediate feeling of dislike. We asked her if they had domestics? NO!....but it sounded more like NO PEASENT, BACK TO HELL WITH YOUR UNCULTURED TASTE!!! DAMN YOU! CANT YOU TELL!!?? WE ARE A MICROBREWERY!!!!! Maybe i exaggerated a scoche. But in so many words.... Anywho..wifey ordered a beer and I asked for a Coke. "We're out of coke" was her dry lifeless reply. No suggestions, no help, just dead silence. Wifey asked if they had tea, "yea, we got tea". She rolled her eyes in a very condescending way and went to get our drinks......Dead silence, I new wifey was ready to strike, I could feel her eyes, glaring, burning into my neck. I nervously cleared my throat, she leaned into me, her warm breath in my ear....she whispered softly..."oh, hell no!" I knew she was serious, baby was from east side SB. NO PLAYIN! We decided to get a pretzel appetizer. With Gouda cheese and spicy mustard. Placed that pretzel order at 6:15 while we waited DJ RBF proceeded to change records on the record player (yes, I said record player) Walk from one end of the bar too the other while silently passing judgement on those of us with a less then refined pallette. Like an SS concentration camp gaurd she watched with disdain, no smile, never! Rude without saying a word. Around 6:35 I became a little concerned, no pretzle in sight, meanwhile 5-6 Of them came from the kitchen. I looked around, saw DJ RBF Standing in the corner of the bar Looking down at the insects in her bar...I approached her and nicely asked "hey, how much longer on that pretzel?" She looked left, right, then down too the floor. Avoiding all eye contact she mumbled...I'll check...and went to the POS "ahh...It will be a minute" she spat over her shoulder. Another way of saying" go sit the fuck down fat boy!" I sat down, smiling at wifey, " ahh, it will be a minute..." I Stammered, another waitress brought our pretzle a few minutes later. It was cold, Not cool, cold, cheese sauce, cold. Not room temp. cold. We were famished...we ate. I asked DJ RBF when she bought the check " hey, you guys make these pretzles? She stopped, took a deep breath, turned her head slightly" Yes " she lied, "right out of the oven" ....LIAR!!!! I can get a warm pretzle at Ben's, hell a gas station, and warm cheese! Really hoped it would be good, ya know? The pizza looked fantastic, but I will never know. As long as that nasty, condescending, damaged person is there I won't be. Great beer, great pizza, and even greater staff. Love the vibe in this place. We will be back especially this summer to sit outside!

What a cool place. Pizza 100 points Beer 100 Points Location/ flair / waitress / staff/ 1000 Points We came because of Harvest Host ( free Overnight stay) and had a good time. Will be back for sure.

Haymarket Brewery was an accidental find. We were driving back from Chicago to Detroit and had to stop for gas. I noticed a roadside sign for Haymarket and decided to check them out on Yelp while BF was pumping the gas. We had not really settled on somewhere to stop for lunch, so I thought hey, why not try them out? We arrived at about 12:45pm and placed our orders at the counter. You then bring your number to any table that you want and they'll bring your food to you. Drinks are obtained at the bar after ordering. I had a tiny glass of their Blood Orange Blonde Ale - brewed with blood oranges, notes of tangerines, raspberry, and grapefruit. It was really good and I really liked that I can get a tiny, tiny 12oz. pour. I ordered the Elote Pizza - white pizza with smoked paprika, fire-roasted corn, cilantro, mozzarella, cotija cheese, and unami mayo. This was SO good. I think this was the favorite of the table. It definitely didn't taste exactly like elote, but it was a very good corn pizza. BF had the Sausage & Giardiniera Pizza - red pizza with barley & fennel sausage, mozzarella, serrano & pear giardiniera. There were some really good flavors here but I thought the giardinieras were too spicy for my taste. I'm a wimp with spice! They were playing live music at 1pm on Sundays and it got way too loud. The harmonica was basically a screech on the speakers in the dining area.
