This was a really cool farmers market. I’m from Florida and we have a couple different ones by us but nothing this size. I didn’t end up buying anything but if we lived near here I would certainly go more often and actually get some things. I would highly recommend visiting here if you are nearby.

Many local businesses gather together to show their talents and sell their goods. You can find a variety of things from artsy products to plants, food, and my favorite papis churros. Cute venue, I really enjoyed it and got nice pictures as well. I also visited the Licorice store, which is in the middle of all the tents. If you are at Lincoln for the weekend, you must come visit the Haymarket Farmers Market.

This was so much fun! I would reccomend parking in a parking ramp as it is very hard finding spots on the street. GO EARLY. There is a large crowd in the afternoon that makes checking out stands hard to do.

Lots of fresh produce and vendors. Good time if you love 10000 of your closest friends bumping into you for hours:)

Yelp
Large farmers market. Huge variety of vendors. Has many friendly vendors eager to share the variety of products that they have. Festive ambiance with live music at a couple of corners We enjoyed our trip there

Yelp
This was such a fun experience! Everyone was incredibly friendly, and there was a great variety of booths to explore -- from fresh veggies and beef jerky to handmade crafts, home décor, pet goodies, clothing, plants, and tasty food. You can really feel the community vibe here. Can't wait to come back to Lincoln to visit!

Yelp
I love farmers markets and this one was surprisingly huge! It's a long drive from where we usually stay with family, but worth the little trip. So many delicious snacks and fun little trinkets to find here. Great live music too.

Yelp
This is the place to be on Saturday mornings during the summer season. The market ends at noon, and is open to the public around 8am I believe (vendor set up is at 7am). Vendors take both cash and card (via Square). Cash is preferred for some vendors. Parking is difficult on the street because it is so busy, so I recommend parking in the parking deck- it is a $2 charge for a parking space valid until 2pm. The farmers market itself is three blocks mainly consisting of produce stands. There is not a lot of food vendors for lunch, so plan on eating at a restaurant downtown if you come hungry. No pets allowed, but fun to bring the whole family. The best activity to do on a Saturday morning. This event is so fun. Has some live music at the haymarket square.

Yelp
The Haymarket Farmers Market is a great way to spend Saturday morning. There are tons of vendors who sell fresh fruits and veggies, beautiful handmade goods, and delicious treats. While it does get pretty busy, it is definitely worth visiting. There is always parking in a garage nearby and the atmosphere is fun and bustling. Make sure you bring cash- most, if not all, vendors prefer it.

Yelp
If I lived in southern Nebraska, you would find me here every single Saturday in the summertime. It's an adorable, historic little area by itself, but add the market which fills many of the streets every Saturday from 8am to noon, and it's a real great place to hang and grab some gems early in the morning. Shop fresh, gorgeous produce from local farmers, pretty flower for making your own bouquets, homemade jams and fresh baked breads. Also neat things like tomato chips! Artisans and crafters, artists as work, live music, great gift items and home decor too! Lots for the littles....many bows for little girls, stuffed animals and toys and a huge train in the middle of it all! Our favorites were: Helping Oats: $6 for a heaping bowl of either cold or hot oats done 4 unique ways. We indulged in cookie butter oats with banana and graham crumbles. Yum!!! Do Ri Me: they sell the most adorable little homemade dough sets with all sorts of tools to go with it! They set up a little table so they kiddos can try it all. The girls loved this! Parking took a little patience, but not awful. The earlier, the better though. The restroom we used were located in the marketplace right there on Canopy Street. Check out KD Design Jewelry while in there! She's also at the market outside as well. There's a little plaza outback with lounge chairs, fire-pits and a huge screen tv if you need a minute to escape the hustle.

Yelp
From historichaymarket.org: "The Haymarket lives up to its name each Saturday morning as farm fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, and handmade items from over 100 vendors are sold on the streets and sidewalks." The Haymarket Farmers Market runs Saturdays 8:00am to Noon May-October. Take a virtual tour here: http://www.roundus.com/listing/387/#1 This has become very popular over the years. It's a fun place to pick up some fresh local produce, flowers, baked goods (kolaches!), kettle corn, crafts, jellies/jams, art, artisan cheeses, and more! Dogs are no longer allowed, but it is a great family activity. Even if you don't buy anything, there is live music at the train station, and you can usually snag some free samples. The smells are wonderful, and the people-watching is sometimes even more fun. If you're visiting from out of town, this is only a few blocks from the Holiday Inn Downtown or Embassy Suites hotel. Stop by on Saturday morning & grab some fresh-baked breakfast or find a cool souvenir to take home.

Yelp
This farmers market is pretty extensive and covers most of the downtown hay market area. It's on Saturday mornings in the summer. There are a variety of booths around the area including produce, crafts, and local restaurants. It's probably the biggest one I've been to in Lincoln. You could wander for quite some time to all the booths. I've been there a couple times and haven't been super impressed by any of the vendors or the prices. Sometimes Le cupcake is there and I like to pick up a cupcake but as far as produce goes it's cheaper to stop at one of the street vendors that are at various locations around Lincoln. I've also been pretty pleased with the old Cheney farmers market. All in all, it's a fun event in the summer to go down to. Maybe pick up a treat from a local vendor, but not my top choice for produce.

Yelp
This was one of the Best Farmer's Markets I have ever seen! They had everything from yummy wines, fresh gourmet morels mushrooms, crafts, plants, produce, baked goods, to homemade canning goods. My boys love spicy foods so I got salsas, hot sauces and jerky for their Christmas Stockings. They love to see what I've gathered from around the country every year to put in their stockings. This Market was a Big Score!!!! Oh, and I ended my shopping trip with a yummy pulled pork sandwich

Yelp
Really good choices of fresh produce, food trucks, homemade goods, and a host of other options. It gets pretty crowded fast so earlier is always better. Definitely some great food options with the local food trucks so I would for sure check those out.

Yelp
This farmers markets has gotten so huge! Extremely full of vendors and people. Great selections but go early if you want produce. The only downside was the lack of organic farms, products or baked goods. A little disappointed in that aspect.

Yelp
Too crafty. There are better Farmer/producer based markets in town that are easier to shop and easier to park at.

Yelp
A nice place to come and wander around for a few hours on a Saturday morning. Market begins at 8am with a sound of a whistle and ends at noon. There are a wide variety of vendors, from your traditional produce, to baked goods, to crafts. Some are over priced so shop around first as in any market. It can get hot because of the lack of breeze in the area. Sadly no pets allowed.

Yelp
Lincoln's historic Haymarket comes alive on Saturday mornings. I visited on the morning of a home football day and the area was full of people. The market hosts a variety of area vendors selling fresh produce. There's also a lot of arts and crafts vendors. There's plenty to see and do in the Haymarket. The Farmer's Market adds to the fun.

Yelp
The Haymarket Farmer's Market is a highlight of growing up in Nebraska. I would wake up early just to get to the goods before the mid-morning rush would arrive. Early morning is the best time to go as parking in the Haymarket can also be a challenge. My favorite spots: Jisa's Cheese, the candied nut booth (they are not there every weekend, however), the cute, old man that sells kolache, the dried flowers that appear toward the end of the season, the spicy meats and the wonderful young musicians. It may not be the biggest and best farmer's market out there, but if you're ever traveling to or through Nebraska, make an early stop at the Haymarket Farmer's Market during the summer and fall seasons.

Yelp
Eh... not so impressed. This was more arts & crafts show than farmers market. Yes I realize it is a bit early in the season to be commenting on the lack of harvest but seriously, all I have seen thus far is tomato plants, petunias and some really poor quality gouda (ick, ick, ick!) Stay tuned for mid-summer's review.

Yelp
If you want to get up early on Saturday morning and feel like you are doing something, then go to the Haymarket Farmer's Market. They have a lot of activity. Feels quite like a swap meet. If you were looking to buy a week's worth of fresh produce to cook with you would likely come up short, even in the summer. It's a great place to be seen on Saturday morning by other people. Over the years I feel it's taken a nose dive into the world of junk and away from actual Farmers. The areas surrounding Lincoln are particularly rich with local farmers who grow and raise amazing goods. They are not the feature at the Haymarket Farmer's Market. These wonderful hard working people are in there...somewhere...in between the candles, dream catchers, puppets, yikyaks and sundry of other junk. It is always crowded and loud. Great for business in the Haymarket not necessarily ideal for consumers. Unless of course you've run out of dream catchers.

Yelp
much better than the farmers markets Ive been to in Iowa and Missouri recently. over 120 vendors. good parking close by. I wish they would allow dogs again. That is always part of the fun of good farmers market. My youngest digs the fountain, jungle gym and saturday morning kolaches and brownies.
