"Japanese cuisine served in a small restaurant where both the cuisine and decor are minimalist in style. Here, young chef Satoshi Hazama creates light dishes full of Japanese flavour, all made from top-quality ingredients. The kaiseki menu served in the evening consists of seven or nine different courses." - Michelin Inspector

As a friend of the Japanese cuisine, I did a reservation for the Kaseiki tasting menu, during my weekend in Milan! The hours in the Hazama were quite an experience! Not only were the courses exemplary, the whole time was an experience. The restaurant got only a few tables and everything on it was perfectly arranged and sorted out. The same goes for the presentation of the dishes and for the service as a whole. Ever present, never loud or frantic! This was in total a complete contrast to the city outside, you were in a different world, to be honest! So, if you like real japanese dishes and japanese traditions , this is definetely your restaurant...

We found this restaurant by chance on our last day in Milan. We stopped in for lunch and booked the kaiseki dinner for the same night. The food is incredible, the service was wonderful - and switched easily between Japanese, Italian, and English to accommodate all of us - and for most of our meal we were alone in the restaurant, so had the opportunity to speak to the chef multiple times. Each dish was beautifully presented and exceptionally well balanced. The integration of ingredients not only traditional to an autumn kaiseki but also in celebration of Hazama’s home in Milan was very enjoyable as well! We also felt that the value and quality of the food for the price was well worth it. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Chef Satoshi transmits the top notch culinary Japanese tradition with his kaiseki menu and for us it was like travelling to Japan for one evening. I also very much appreciated that the chef called beforehand to make sure the menu was fit for us (lactose intolerance,...) and to adapt the menu. Thanks to the chef and the staff for this wonderful experience!

Wife took all of the food photos. Excellent authentic Japanese with a very Japanese taste not changed for the local market. Amazing Kaiseki menu of 7 or more courses and I will be back for the change of seasons as it seems the menu was based on Spring so I can go back in the summer. Creative chef with special food. 🤩 The wine paired so well with the entire menu!

I have been to this restaurant back in February and have ordered take away once. Both times the quality of the food was impeccable, the service is outstanding and the restaurant itself is beautiful. This is one of the few authentic Japanese restaurants in Milan! I personally love and recommend their eel and ice cream. Will visit again.
