Beautifully decorated hotel, in an excellent location. Feels more like staying at a relatives house, rather than a hotel. Which makes for a very relaxing stay and much quieter than you would expect, for this central location. English charm and character, celebrating its colourful history by naming each room after past residents. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning was exceptional. The mini bar and breakfast were reasonably priced. The bathroom complimented the buildings age. Some may struggle with there being no shower, but we found it to be a lovely excuse for a relaxing bath. We would’ve awarded Hazlitt’s five stars, had it not been for the dirty towels provided. Each of the two bath towels had stains and the scent of another person. It seems liking a previous guest had used them and folded them back neatly. The housekeeper most likely assumed they hadn’t been used and therefore, left them. I understand the hotel industry are trying to be more ecological and not over launder items. Nevertheless, at this price point you do expect a base line of cleanliness.

Absolutely stunning!! My cousin booked it for my birthday, walked in and the atmosphere was brilliant! From the old photos & books to the georgian style rooms with furniture that’s makes you feel like you are in a different era!! The staff cannot do enough for you and was quick to tell us the history of the hotel which in itself was super fascinating. Our rooms were not ready so they sat us in the library and brought us tea, coffee and biscuits in a beautiful tea pot etc. Very clean and the beds… the best night sleep you could have, the pillows and bedding were super soft! Super comfortable and the baths were stunning! Also fully air conditioned which was great as it was a warm day. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely return and recommend to our friends and family!

This hotel is really old and the rooms are intended to reflect that. Meaning no shower- just over the bath. No tea and coffee. Strange set up for mirrors. Reasonably priced mini bar. Charming though- although you can hear other rooms easily. And the location is perfect.

I am torn, Hazlitt's has so much going for it, but just falls a bit short.|Location, especially if you are in town for a West End show, is absolutely superb. |Rooms are quirky, in a good way. You really feel like staying in a bedroom of a properly old English (manor) house. |However, arrival, which is fairly important in terms of first impressions, is somewhat underwhelming. Instead of characterful, I would rate the reception and the adjoining sitting area just as "dated". There is a lot of potential, but it all feels a bit neglected. There is also a library and another sitting area with honesty bars, and those are nicer and the honesty bars are well stocked. |Breakfast delivered in the room was good and all the staff are very polite and helpful.|Having said all that, at this price point (yes, I know it is London), you would expect for that final bit of polish to be there. I am not saying "don't go", but I am suggesting anyone considering Hazlitt's to consider how important the quirkiness of the rooms is for you. You do pay for it.

My son and I went to London for his 22nd birthday! Granted we had prob the best room. It was a suite with a beautiful patio that you can see in online pics! We went to Amsterdam after 4 days. Our hotel was gorgeous… there! But we both agreed .. The Hazlitt’s was like stepping back into time into the most amazing way! Staff was amazing and location perfection! WE WILL BE BACK AND WONT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!

Lovely boutique hotel with lots of old world character in the heart of Soho. Step outside the door and you’re in the middle of bars, pubs and the cosmopolitan energy of London. Step inside and you’re surrounded by the charm of the Victorian age. Loved the decor and ambiance of the sitting rooms. I have stayed in this hotel twice and both rooms were very lovely and quirky, full of character. Enjoyed a glass of sherry by the fireplace with a book from the library. One of the best places to stay when you want to be in central London and still be far from the madding crowd.

I can't believe despite being London born and bred I didn't know about this place. The hotel is beautiful, the location is amazing and wow what more can I say about the staff? I had my phone stolen elsewhere and they were so kind and helpful and as I needed help to tie my bow tie without the trusty help of Youtube, they all waded in to help including the general manager who got it tied for me in the end. I really felt like it was a home from home. There is 2 lovely lounges too with honesty bars that you can help yourself to and the breakfast is very reasonable and great quality delivered to your room. I will definitely be back and thank you for having me.

Incredibly restored 18th century time capsule hotel. Absolutely stunning. Every corner is filled with sweet decor. Hard to believe it's steps away from Soho bustle. So tastefully curated. The room was perfect. Bathroom about as big as the guest room. My only issue was the noise from guest above which woke me up throughout the night. But comes with the territory in this type of property. Staff were so gracious and kind. I'm a huge fan and will definitely stay again when I'm in London.

I couldn't have picked a better hotel for the London leg of our honeymoon trip! I love hotels with character and charm, where I wake up and feel like "I'm in f**king London!" as opposed to chains that could be anywhere in the world. This has charm, history, comfort, service, and a resident cat in the lobby! I LOVE that this hotel is 300 years old with a storied history, that you can read about in the hotel room's guest book. Each room is named after a famous literary figure or guest who stayed there or has some sort of affiliation with the hotel. We were on the top floor, in the Duncombe room. No elevators, but staff offered to bring all of our bags upstairs and then back down when we left. Our room was beautifully furnished in period-specific pieces, with a view overlooking the street of Soho. The bathroom had vaulted ceilings, a skylight, and was well-ventilated. Plumbing wasn't great or super strong, and the floors creaked and slanted in some places, but that's a 300-year-old building. You could also order breakfast on a card to be delivered at a time of your choosing the next morning. I loved all of the hotel's amenities, including the classy lounges and "honor system" bar. You make yourself cocktails and then write down what you took, to be charged at the end of your stay. The staff was all super nice. Best location ever; it was a few blocks away from the Leceister Square tube station, all of the theaters, and tons of bars and restaurants right outside. We could do so much within a short walk. I loved this hotel!

I was highly anticipating my stay here and was not in the least disappointed. Courteous, friendly, and attentive staff: Check. A wonderful sense of historicity to the building: Check. Beautiful furnishings and cleverly integrated modern updates to make things seamlessly comfy without disrupting that historical feel: Check. Unbeatable location with all of Soho and Covent Garden mere steps away, easy access to transit. Staff has great recs for whatever you're looking for in the neighborhood. The street is very active, which is kind of nice to listen to but if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs for sure. Several places nearby do fit-to-fly certificates which is super handy for international travelers. The building is vintage, which means stairs! If you can't do stairs, make a note when booking so the staff is aware. We were on the top floor and it was a hike, but we didn't mind it. If my parents had been along for the ride, it would have been another story. All in all, a wonderful stay, and can't wait to return! Oh and then there's Sir Godfrey. I was blessed to be in his presence multiple times when he was snoozing in front of the fireplace in one of the parlors. I would take a bullet for him.

Visitors arriving at Hazlitt's hotel should be made aware of a significant theft risk. My husband had his briefcase stolen as we were transitioning from our cab to the hotel entrance. Although this transition is only a few steps from the curb to the hotel entry, it is across a busy public sidewalk which is poorly lit. While the cab driver distracted him, two men with face coverings made off with his case. We believe the theft was coordinated by the cab driver. On the drive to the hotel, we heard the driver talking in a foreign language, to someone and he specifically said the address of Hazlitts. Not only did the driver not help in getting our luggage out of the cab but as soon as the briefcase was taken, he sped away quicky without offering any assistance. My husband lost several thousand dollars of valuable personal items and documents in his briefcase Neither the cab company, Hazlitts, nor the police were of any help in identifying the perpetrators or offering any compensation to us for this traumatic event. Our insurance company tells us their coverage is only for items lost that were in the possession of a common carrier. The day after the theft, we saw signs posted on the nearby buildings warning people that pickpockets and luggage thieves were actively working in the area. If we had been aware of this situation, we would have known to guard our items more carefully. Hazlitts should warn arriving guests of this risk of theft. This hotel is conveniently located right at the heart of SoHo, as soon as you step out of the door you soon realize why you booked here in the first place. The neighborhood is bustling! Although the room is smaller than American standard and there is a lack of space to stow away your large suitcases etc, we found the bed to be comfortable, the bathroom is unexpectedly spacious with bathtub. 4 star for the complimentary breakfast in bed, location and the super friendly staff. But I will probably not come back here to stay or in SoHo area, I'll probably choose a quieter neighborhood!!

This hotel has so much character and charm. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was so nice. I chose this hotel because I was nervous about waking by myself from the theater late at night. The location is perfect for that -- the walk was very short through a hopping neighborhood that felt safe. I wouldn't bring someone here who who expects all the luxuries. This hotel is very comfortable but has some quirks. For example, the bathroom fixtures are small and tucked away in odd places, the floor is rickety, and the common area carpets aren't perfectly clean. To me, this added to the charm, but I'm glad my less flexible family members weren't with me.

This is now my "Go -To" Hotel in London. This place is GREAT. Their location is excellent and the management team are fantastic, competent and kind. No reason to go to another hotel in London. Many thanks for making my stay memorable and altogether pleasant. I hope to be back soon.

They gave me a room at 10:00AM, carried my luggage up four flights of stairs and brought me tea service straight away. Every staff member I interacted with at Hazlitt's had a smile for me. And the reliable, free wifi was icing on the cake. The hotel's location is super central and the honor bar in the library, with the roaring fireplace and comfy sofa, is a lovely touch. However, my single room was tremendously tiny: me and my luggage could both barely squeeze in. I'm glad I stand only 5'2" because if I were any taller, I'd have to duck to fit in the doorway (Hazlitt's is ancient.) The water pressure in the stand up shower was not strong and made me wish for a bathtub. The room's temperature was generally cold and the wooden throne-like toilet was odd. In sum, if you're looking for modern digs, Hazlitt's isn't your spot. But if you fancy going back in time and you're not too tall, this hotel's superior service will delight you.

A beautiful building Hazlitt died in agony from stomach cancer in 1830 in a upstairs room. Many luminaries from the literary world paid him a visit while he was dying not knowing how hard he had found it to pay his rent

For our first visit to London we wanted to stay in a hotel with character. We found Hazlitt's listed in one of the Top 10 Guides. It delivered! Each room is unique and with its own character and, it's in the heart of Soho. It was a block away from the Tottenham Underground Station and around the corner from the theater district. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always willing to give suggestions on where to dine. Given the historic nature of the place, built in 1718, part of the charm is its crooked steps and sloping floors. The hotel is actually three homes combined together. Felt for the valets hauling our 50 pound suitcases up the stairs. Most of the rooms do not have showers, which provoked a little anxiety for my mother getting in and out of a tub. If this is important to you, you should ask about it when booking. Nicely appointed common rooms with good internet signal in-room. Remember that you are in Soho and it will get loud at night, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. If you want a quieter room, ask for a room away from the front of the hotel.

I knew I would love this hotel. The moment I booked it I had such high hopes for it. It's style is exactly my cup of tea. In any other country this hotel would not work, but in London is it perfect. For one thing it reminds me of Downton Abbey it felt like we were on the set. There was a romantic and intimate feel about the place. This hotel speaks to you, you'll know what I mean when you stay hear but it's endearing. When you enter, you buzz the doorbell, wait a couple seconds for the reception to buzz you in. Reception desk is manned 24/7 apparently. We were shown the library which doubled as the their "Honesty Bar", which works like this, you pour your own drinks from the bar and pay at your own discretion. Very much like you're at home. So this really works well if you're honest. We were also shown the drawing room which had a fireplace we cozied up to afew times during our stay. During some of our time in this drawing/reading room "the wardrobe" the staff served us complimentary crackers and cheese. There's a cute majestic cat that roams around enigmatically amongst these rooms depending on how cold it is I reckon. We booked the standard club room which were perfect for us. The rooms all had names, ours was called Sir William Ross. It was only up one flight of stairs which was only too bad for the staff member whom had to lug our luggage up but no doubt they are used to this. The room was decent sized and clean for all it's traditional charm. The bathroom was well kept as well. It has a bath plus extendable shower head. The only funny thing about the bathroom was the shutters didn't close 100% so our neighbours got to enjoy free shows, which is more of a bonus for them really. They serve breakfast but you eat it in your room, which is a nice change. I prefer this intimacy sometimes. You can fill out the breakfast order cards and hang them on your door outside before nighttime and you'll be served breakfast accordingly next morning. I forgot to do this one morning but you can still order over the phone but there's a 30 min wait time, which is no big deal. The breakfast I ordered that one time was delicious, that porridge was so amazing I was so full I couldn't eat again until late afternoon. The service is very helpful, they were very accommodating and polite. They were able to provide an ironing board and iron upon request. The only trouble we had was on the first morning, when the people staying in the rooms above us had a shower the water started to leak onto the bath in our bathroom. I reported this to the reception and they had this attended to asap. After that problem fixed, no problems. This hotel is located so conveniently in the heart of Soho, it really is unmissable if you're going to staying in this area. Bars, restaurants, cafes and entertainment are only footsteps away. During our check out they were able to book us a cab back to airport for a fixed rate with a trustworthy company which was cheaper than hailing a cab off the street. I would 100% stay here again, I would upgrade myself to better rooms now that we've tested this place out. My favourite hotel so far!

Super cute place. Great service. Friendly front desk- Claude gave us a tour of their quaint, beautifully decorated hotel followed by a very much appreciated delivery of coffee and bottle of water. All rooms have different names, ours being Madame Kennedy. Lots of character, highly recommend--and GREAT location!

The front desk staff were chipper and full of energy, very engaging, helpful, and kind. Stepping off an 11-hour flight across the nation and then an entire ocean, whether direct or not, is an exhausting and sometimes spirit-shattering ordeal, and these friendly faces were there to greet me and take me up to my room with incomparable personality. There was a small chandelier, a separate door to the hall to cut down on noise, a fireplace, and a bathroom with a large footed-bathtub. Only stayed a night until my rented flat to open up, but definitely in a great location on Frith Street (a stone's throw from Soho Square), and close to the action on Old Compton. There is also a communal library and "honor system" bar, which makes you feel as if you're stepping into another era, a hundred years back in time. I adored it all. Would definitely return time after time.

It's a piece of 1900's London in this joint. Each room has a literary theme; I stayed in some critics room. Everywhere in the hotel there are antique books even in the loo, which I thought was a great if not unhygienic touch. Service was wonderful. I got the ham and English mustard sandwich... Ridiculously pricey for what essentially was a bog standard sandwich. Breakfast was much better as was the coffee. I was a big fan of the honesty bar (you wrote what you poured yourself into a book log); it was really nice to drink some Irish whiskey and read in the library... Actually I just remembered that they had a few hidden security cameras, huh, I take the honesty thing back, they don't trust you. So why the 3 stars? I am a fan of showers; call me boring but there is just something wonderful about being clean. I had no shower. I had a fabulous ornate bath like in the Cadburys flake ad. If I was the Cadburys girl seductively eating my flake and caressing my legs then yeah it could be sexy. But I wasn't. I was too tall for the bath, and I was filthy from laying grass in London; don't ask. I had to wait for the water to fill and to be the right temperature which was painful when I just wanted a quick shower and to go to bed. Then of course I misjudged the water to my body mass ratio and forgot that back in the day they didn't have emergency water outlets so I caused a large wave when I got in that spilled out everywhere... It was an utter disaster. Go here if you like baths and chilling out. Don't go here if you have a tight schedule.

I'm pretty cheap when it comes to hotels but chose this place in 2011 based on a surfeit of bad reviews on TripAdvisor for places at less than £150/night. London is ridiculously expensive but if you have decided to get a hotel here you might as well have a great experience in exchange for the fortune you leave behind. Hazlitt's gives you: * Excellent Soho location - go out late and it's a short walk (or stumble) back * Style - Each room has a different character and if my experience is representative, they have a great neo-19th Century vibe with old books on bookshelves and a vertical shower with a ~12" (30cm) nozzle. Lobby feels like an old house, too. * Free, non-fussy wi-fi * Honesty bar with a decent living-room like space for entertaining quietly; spent probably £120 during our stay, it was so nice * Friendly, accurate, efficient service Eventually the cost will be too much--they seem to have raised their prices by 23% in 2012--but for now I don't need to consider any other options when I'm in London.

I only thought from previous reviews that Hazlitt's might be the place for me, but it was when I pushed the button for entrance and then walked through the door that I knew it was. I was thrilled to stay in a hotel that was not part of a chain - Hazlitt's gave me a luxurious touch of London in SOHO. The ease with which I was welcomed by the front desk staff further gave me confidence I had made a good choice. I arrived before check-in and was invited to settle in the library while my room was readied. There I took a bottle of still water from the honor bar, plugged in my ipad and phone and immediately took a mini-nap. It mustve been an hour later I was awakened to find my room ready. Sir Marmeduke is a small double room but quite perfect for single me. The four-poster bed is so comfortable I was tempted to sleep in each day I was there, but I did not. The in-room minibar was stocked with goodies - I only opted for the chocolate covered raisins - a very good choice. I was surprised the hotel does not gouge you for these either! The bathroom, with the exception of the old fashioned un-mixed hot and cold faucets was perfect. Breakfast is available - it wasn't included nor is there a dining room, so I opted to eat elsewhere each day, but given the quality of the rooms and service i would imagine breakfast or room service would be excellent. I will stay again when next I am in London.

You want old? You want character? This is your hotel. The stair case is original and feels like it. It's pretty slanted but it's all part of the charm. I was given a room on the 5th floor and the porter was a trooper and lugged by bag up all the flights of stairs. The location is great. Right in the middle of Soho so you'll get a bunch of theater action and bars, restaurants and clubs in the immediate vicinity. Every thing was comfortable and got complimentary wifi so I was a happy camper.

Granted, my review may be slightly skewed since we stayed in their most luxurious suite, but the service was excellent, and the hotel itself spotless and charming. We will definitely be back for another stay. If you have the opportunity, stay in the Duke of Monmouth suite. The private upstairs patio roof rolls back completely so that you can experience the night air if you wish. The room was perfectly appointed and very comfortable with a giant bathtub and lovely bath oil.

Great location if you are visiting the Soho area. Also not a great location if you are looking for some peace and quiet. :) The honesty bar is awesome. I love being able to sit down there and enjoy a nice drink. The rooms are well done. Service was good and helpful. Downsides were a bit of a trudge up and and down stairs.

When living in London you are often expected to recommend hotels. Most of London Hotels are extremely styled up and have no soul to it. My cousin recommended me a fantastic place which not only is charming but also centred in the heart of London - Soho. The petite hotel is placed of Hannover Square at the beginning of Dean Street. There is a little reception area, which welcomes you warmly. It is a hidden gem where no room is like the other. Each of the rooms are named differently putting faces to their usual anonymous numbers. It is a Georgian house with cavernous fireplaces fitted in the bed rooms, which make you feel like stepping into the 18th century. But you will be well served with all facilities needed in modern life such as Internet access, air-conditioning and well-equipped bathrooms (the basement rooms bathrooms does not have a door but a curtain). This hotel is particular popular with writers, artists and visitors who want to escape for a moment the intensity of the city. One of London's best kept secrets!

I found this through Mr. and Mrs. Smith hotels which is a great way to find nice little boutique spots. Hazlitts is a real unique gem where every room is different, set up in a very classic style, the stairs lean this way and that and you get a feel like you're in a very old small but nice place. I had a lovely little room overlooking Firth street in Soho. A truly lovely experience with super nice staff. Bonus, Anthony Bourdain's favorite hotel.

A wonderful hotel tucked away just off Soho Square. Very well placed for the theatres in the west end, or for a night out. The hotel is converted from some very old townhouses and still decorated with old paintings and furniture. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable and the bathroom in our room was absolutely huge and lovely for a soak in the roll top bath. The funniest thing is if you come back to your room a little drunk that the old stairs are so all over the place that you end up falling from side to side all the way up the stairs. One of the best London hotels I've stayed in.

I am in love with this hotel. It has character, history and reminds me of what hotels were like when I was a kid.... the library, the lay out, the staff - everything was stellar! I loved all the details of my room - the light fixtures, the color scheme.... love love love. I wish I could have spent more time in the hotel. Definitely going back next time I'm in London. Location was great - staff was super helpful and absolute dears!

Lovely staff, pretty quiet street in the heart of Soho... Beyond quaint...the three connected townhouses with rooms named after all the historical visitors add to the ambiance. Make sure you ask for the best rate possible at check-in as the online rates will invariably be higher. They are more than happy to adjust if they have a better deal. Say hello to the enormous languid cat "Sir Godfrey" on your way to your room. He'll be sleeping in a chair either by the fire in the library or the fire by the reading lounge. He only stirs to go downstairs for his meals or to change his repose.

Perfectly unassuming and welcoming place that still manages to be very unique, private, and comfortable. Right in the heart of Soho and walking distance from Covent Garden. Each room is named and decorated for a notable author. Book worms will love it here. I'll be back next time in London. Paid ~£200/night in late March.

She hid the body under the bed! When William Hazlitt died in 1830, his landlady was so keen to let the room, she hid him there. This fashionable Soho hotel is named after the writer and is located on Frith Street. It is one of the homes William lived in and the interiors have been retained as he would have known so well. Each room is named after a famous person - (we are not numbers here, Patrick) - even the huge brass key fobs are so emblazoned - just hope your memory for peoples' names is OK, or it'll be kipping in the corridor. Inside the rooms, so quaint and period, you feel William might actually knock on the door at any moment, or pop his head round the corner. This is not to say that the plumbing at the end of the huge bath, the lights and the modern TV don't work - they do, perfectly, along with free Wi-Fi (or a cable from reception for those that suffer Wi-Fi fuzzy nose syndrome - never had that? lucky then). Not large, the rooms are perfectly OK - you could go mad and spend out on a Deluxe for the 4 poster and enough space to swing a tiger or two, but probably not necessary, as you'll no doubt spend most of your time out and about. For this is probably one of the best bits about Hazlitts - located right in the middle of vibrant Soho. The front door looks just like a front door (as opposed to a hotel entrance) adding to the charm of the place - like your own private Soho pad. Out and and turn right to Soho Square with Oxford Street a few strides beyond. Turn left for the madness of Old Compton Street; Frith Street hits it at the junction by the excellent Caffe Nero. Go straight(ish), and zigzag round the maze-like back streets of Soho - better get your Qype machine running to check out the best places to dive into on your explorations! Hazlitts is excellent - check underneath the bed. Highly recommended.

This was close to being a typical European hotel however the desk staff was fabulous and made the trip well worthwhile. The room was a decent size and the bath was big for any hotel room. It was clean and comfy.

Stayed there once and loved it. Felt like a private members' club a little. The guy on reception was politeness and professionalism personifed, but really it was all about the room - which was divine. It was like it hadn't been touched since the 18th Century, apart from, of course, the lighting, heating and state of the art tv system. The floor of the room sloped, the bed was HUGE and the bath was deeper than an ocean. Beautiful.

Small, boutique hotel, just off Soho Square. It doesn't get more central than this. It doesn't get much more expensive either, with rooms starting at £175. The price is reflected in the rooms though, with 18th Century four poster beds, silk drapes and brass bathroom fittings. It's tastefully done and doesn't look chintzy. In fact some rooms can feel a bit dark and heavy in the summer but are cosy on a cold winter's night. Hazlitt's is named after William Hazlitt, the essayist, who lived and died here. The hotel is made up of what were three Georgian townhouses and, as a listed building, isn't allowed a lift. There's no bar or restaurant (it's too small), but who needs that in the heart of Soho? There is a lovely drawing room full of books written and signed by the hotel's literary guests, of which there have been many. The front desk staff are chatty and knowledgeable. They will do their best to arrange tickets or make reservations. There's a surprisingly unpretentious feel to the place. Room service is available and breakfasts are delicious, with freshly baked croissants. Do spare a thought (and a tip) for the chambermaids, who have to polish all that brass!

Really nice hotel. - Great location, outstanding staff. If you want to stay in a nice hotel without the big brand corporate feel, then Hazlitts is for you.

Let me start by saying this trip was a gift from my boyfriend for my birthday. Talk about the most wonderful vacation experience ever, & it was largely due to Hazlitt's. You see the pictures & you might wonder to yourself: "Is Hazlitt's really this nice in person?!" The answer is no: IT'S BETTER! It looked like I walked into a magazine when we were escorted to the Baron Willoughby room by the wonderful bellhop. He was professional, informative, polite, & very friendly. If you can imagine this, their service is even better than the decor. How? I don't know, but from our first experience with the bellhop to the desk staff, to the maids everyone was just lovely. When you have a need: more towels, more water for your mini fridge, soap, ANYTHING...they're at your door with the requested service/item before you can even understand how they got from the front desk to your room that quickly! We left Hazlitt's in the middle of our two week vacation to go to Paris for three days...we loved the Hazlitt's so much, we decided to stay with them again when we came back. You can tell why famous people like to stay there: Kate Moss, Glen Hansard (who I met in the lobby...so exciting!), etc...it's small, intimate (almost don't recognize it's there from the street because it's so cute & quaint), & the service is fantastic. The beds were a bit hard, but I'll take a slightly less plush bed for the entire hotel experience knocking my socks off any day! Thank you Hazlitts! We'll be back for sure.

this place is amazing. it's like a trip back to the 1700's, but with air conditioning. rooms come equipped with first edition books, lovely paintings and all sorts of fantastic details. the location could not be better either, great people watching right out the windows.
