I’m out of my mind, this is a furniture store with a moon capsule in it that’s decorated with angels AB’s chandeliers and really exquisite leather booth chairs like you’ve have in a restaurant. These are the designs of Timothy Oulton with their collection of down to earth opulence. So many unique handcrafted pieces I was in awe. The whole place is a collection of different furniture stores, so there’s lots to feast your eyes on. Timothy Oulton was by far the most outstanding but there’s something there for everyone. They even had a clothing pop up shop with several vendors with handcrafted or vintage clothing. It’s a yes for me. I signed up for the emails, both to start collecting.

So much fun to browse even if you’re not planning to buy! You must check out the custom Timothy Oulton Apollo space shuttle pod outfitted with a chandelier and tufted panels upholstered in velvet with a print inspired by Botticelli's Birth of Venus.

If they don't have it here it probably doesn't exist. Set in the old Helms Bakery, you get that vintage industrial warehouse vibe as soon as you walk in. There are multiple collections and designers in here so you will have a good range to choose from. I was checking out the Timothy Oulton Collection but also liked many others. It has a nice vibe with many accessories also to chose from.

HD Buttercup always have a variety of furniture that you can choose from, including casual to formal vibes. There’s also a big section for outdoor furnitures. There is not a lot sales going on in this location, probably because their stock is going fast. At the end of the store, there is a more formal section that gives you a London cigar lounge vibe with darker wall color, dim lighting, and a lot of interesting wall decors.

This Matouk employee deserves to be called out for her atrocious customer service. It's absurd that she demanded I "not touch the bedding" because it would need to be ironed – as if customers are incapable of handling delicate items with care! Her initial warning was bad enough, but then she proceeded to hover around me, clearly scrutinizing my every move like a hawk. I was meticulously careful not to disturb anything, yet she continued her invasive surveillance, making me feel like I was about to vandalize the display. Then, the constant interruptions with the snarky "Can I help you?" questions, implying I shouldn't be touching anything at all, were infuriating. Each time I politely declined, she would just glare at me with disdain, as if I was an idiot for browsing independently. To top it off, she rudely ordered me to put everything back in its place, cementing her position as the most obnoxious salesperson I've ever encountered. There was a duvet cover and filling I was genuinely interested in, but her aggressive and condescending behavior completely ruined the experience. Thanks to her, I left the store empty-handed and decided to purchase the items online instead. Someone needs to teach her some basic manners and the meaning of customer service and professionalism.

I love this store. This was my second visit. If I had actual money I would get my furniture here. They have well made and unique pieces. They even had a spaceship pod hangout space! The priced are high. The store is huge.

We went in today looking for a new dining table set. Some nice things to be sure; my wife and I walked around with our kid looking at all the dining tables. We took our time. In our 20-30 min visit, NO ONE ever came up to us to ask if we needed help. More than once associate clearly looked at us top to bottom then just looked away. Now if there was a Table we really liked we would have found an associate of course. There were naturally 2-3 we were kinda curious about but when no one comes to help and engage and you're only curious, you just move on. So we walked out, and ended up with a lovely one hour customer service and experience right next door at Room and Board, where we purchased a fantastic dining table set. Net net: don't waste your time with this place the bad reviews of quality and service seem to speak for themselves.

My partner and I came in to shop for an event. To start, we were sized up from head to toe. Apparently, we didn't look like we came to spend money. We were watched by EVERY sales associate. An older woman, sitting with her team said "let me know if you need anything" while making eye contact with her associates that screamed " don't bother". They watched us like hawks but never asked what brought us in or if there was something specific we were looking for. I was in sales and I can assure you; I never asked, "let me know" -rather wanted to know so that I could be of service to the customer. That in itself was quite telling. Finally, a lovely gentlemen named Josh asked us if we needed help. Now, let me say by then- I was offended and upset. I was ready to leave but my partner was on a mission to see what spoke to her. Nonetheless, I appreciated his welcome. When he observed us looking some more- he pleasantly asked again and encouraged us to give him a shout -if we needed any help or even a question. He was welcoming and inviting-as a sales associate should be. He was warm and pleasant, as a human should be to another. He understood the value of people. I have to say, what always baffles me is the ignorance of any "sales associate" to underestimate one's finance by what they're wearing. In addition, to be sized up by someone who is working at their job while out on my leisure is even more baffling. Racism and bias come in many forms. My suggestion, take your money to where it's valued and appreciated. In a world where a picture can be taken and something easily fabricated and or found elsewhere- never except anything less than GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Far too many options in this world, don't choose to put your money in prejudice behavior. I hope this helps someone and teaches another. Often times the heart of our business is lost by the people we employ. Duly noted.

Worst furniture store in the universe. Yes, I can confidently say it is not just the worst on planet earth, but all worlds. On top of being overpriced, the people there are rude! I purchased a couch there 5 years ago for $6,000. After being foolish enough to do so they farmed out the delivery service to a company that was expensive and also rude and took weeks of delays to get me the couch. Six years later, this is my couch. The fabric has disintegrated from being such poor quality. Couches normally last decades. This piece of crap might as well have been 20 buck on Temu. Never, never go to this place.

SO if you are looking for a medium to higher end furniture store the size of a Costco, look no further. This massive store covers the gamut of styles and we found the staff to be helpful but unobtrusive. If you have an idea of what you want etc then this store makes thing easy. If you are unsure it can be a bit overwhelming so plan ahead if you tend to get bogged down with too many choices. It is nicely laid out and yep lets face it we often look at some items with the "what are they thinking" aspect but that is part of the fun. It also has a mini museum to the whole bakery district as well. There are other furnature stores in the complex as well so it makes for an ewasy one stop spot to fill your home. Not to mention places to eat.

I am agreeing with Justin E. I came in to look at some items I liked on line. As I walked in there was a man sitting on a chair instructing some workers on laying out some furniture. He clearly saw me as I walked in. I walked further into the store and I saw at least 5 or 6 sales people either on their phones/computers or straightening up. No one even bothered to look around to see if there was anyone needing help. Or anyone wanting to spend money and possibly give them a commission. I am glad that business is so good that you don't acknowledge your patrons. I will NOT return.

I just got the news that you guys are finally renting again for the photo and film industry. Thank you!!! HD Buttercup has been a lifesaver for my career as prop stylist and set designer throughout the years but when new management took over it became extremely difficult elsewhere to find amazing furniture pieces to rent for my shoots. The word has gotten around and everyone is very excited that this is finally happened. It's the best furniture store in town.I love the staff they are so awesome , helpful and fun. This is their flagship store, large and fully stocked! They have excellent sales going on where you can get high quality designer furniture at a fraction of the price! Plenty of easy parking and not very busy at all. Employees are extremely helpful and friendly and willing to work with you. We love shopping here, highly recommended if you are looking to furnish your home!

We bought a designer dining table from them. In 2 years a leg came off. When we reached out to them they literally didn't do anything to fix it or take responsibility. They recommended to find someone. On our own to fix it. Their products might look fancy and designer but either quality nor customer service. IKEA does a better job than HD Buttercup:(

I strongly advise against purchasing from HD Buttercup (esp working with Shannon, Katherine and Skylar) My experience with their service has been extremely disappointing. They consistently provide misleading delivery timeframes and require persistent follow-ups to get any updates. The quality of the furniture does not justify the high prices, as I paid $8,000 for a modular sofa and found the product and service to be lacking. Save yourself the frustration and consider shopping elsewhere.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. My wife and bought a couch there for $5k. In less than 2 years the couch began to fall apart. This after we waited 10 months for the couch to be delivered. We don't have kids and are more than respectful to our furniture. When I wrote the HD Buttercup, they refused to do anything about it and said they could recommend a company to repair it, but we would have to pay for that. The fact that they so readily had a company on hand to repair their furniture speaks volumes to me that we aren't the only people with this problem. I will never buy anything there again and definitely will not be recommending it to anyone.

0 score if possible. Worst ever customer service. salesperson ZXT, have been extremely disappointing. When I called the store seeking assistance for a refund that I didn't receive, ZXT initially ignored my calls when another staff transferred my call, claiming to be too busy to address my concerns. When I finally managed to speak with her, her attitude was dismissive, impatient, and unprofessional. ZXT insisted that I contact the bank regarding the missing refund, despite my explanation that the issue was related to the store's internal processes. To make matters worse, she raised her voice and yelled at me, creating an uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. I asked her why your attitude is so bad while I'm very nice to talk and trying to get it resolved. Then she just yelled at me so many times and then hung up the call.

This is a zero star . This has been the worst customer experience I've ever had, and I feel cheated and deceived by what appears to be fraudulent practices. I strongly advise against dealing with them. To make matters worse, the delivery company associated with them, that still has my sofa, has gone completely MIA. I've lost a substantial amount of money, including $300 for delivery charges, and a sofa I can't return because of a no return policy not stated on the webpage nor the order confirmation.

SCAM BEWARE! We bought a 5k couch from them and it's been under 3 years and we have 2 massive tears in it. They refuse to take ownership for the bad quality materials they use and help us repair it. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! go to restoration hardware or CB and spend this money on a good couch that will LAST. Their customer service is not helpful and told me they won't do anything. 5k down the drain thanks guys! Will be reporting for scamming us to the BBB.

Much like many reviewers have said - do not buy from here if you are looking for your furniture to come quickly, or even at all. We ordered our expensive, $8000 sofa and ottoman on Jan 1st and we were told they would take 12 weeks. After calling them repeatedly about the whereabouts for our furniture, the sofa was delivered in mid-April - 18 weeks after we ordered it. Initially, they weren't going to deliver it at all without the ottoman, but after several phone calls to their customer service, they agreed to deliver the sofa separately. It is now the end of May (26 weeks after we placed our order) and we still have not received the ottoman. I have called customer service 6 times between the delivery of our sofa and now, each time getting the same answer "we will follow up with the team". I have asked for a refund for the ottoman so that I can go purchase one somewhere else; they are also "checking with the team" to see if they can do that. This has been a wildly frustrating experience. I would not purchase a piece of furniture from them again. We do like the couch that we purchased, and after reading similar reviews that were dissatisfied with the customer service and quality of the furniture, we are glad we purchased the additional warranty that they offer through a different company, Mulberry.

SCAM ALERT!!! Do you want to buy flawed or damaged furniture? And do you want to buy it with NO ability to return it? And do you want customer service so poor that it's only available through email? And do you want to wait weeks for customer service to get back to your email? And then do you want to wait at least 10 days between any follow-up emails? And then do you want to give up and file a chargeback through your credit card? THEN HD BUTTERCUP IS THE STORE FOR YOU! Honestly I can't figure out if they're running a scam or if they're so badly managed that they don't care about losing money through a chargeback. The same thing happened to my sister where she also had to resort to a chargeback because they won't respond to return requests. BOTTOMLINE: Pray that you don't receive flawed or damaged furniture, because you're stuck with it. And the only way to get your money back is through your credit card company.

Had been looking for a nice dining room table for several months and shopped everywhere on line and in person. Found a beautiful table at HD Buttercup on line, they had it on display in the store and I purchased it with the help of Josh who knew the store's inventory extremely well. Josh said it would get delivered within 14 days - and it was. The 2 delivery guys were extremely polite, helpful and professional. Great experience all the way around.

After looking at way too many sofas from way too many sites, we found what we were looking for HD Buttercup. Agustin, our sales person, was very fun & helpful. BUT here is the really "above expectations" part: one of the two chairs arrived but didn't exactly match the sofa. Customer service took care of the situation and resolved it without any fuss. We are glad we were able to find the top-notch selection, sales and customer service that these days seems all too rare.

Very nice pieces and variety in store but there is no service. We wanted to buy a table but could not track down someone to help us. Once we finally tracked someone down we are told we can't buy the table. We can only order it online. then why have a store? The service terms are very rigid and non customer friendly. HD Buttercup well-known place where the Elite of Hollywood come if you want to find a one-of-a-kind piece that nobody's gonna have . Beautiful infinity mayors focal point desks. Every kind of style every kind of era. Now's a good time to come because they're having a major sale. I advise to look around first go to other stores and then come back and figure out what you want.

We had just purchased our home in Mammoth and I took my husband to HD Buttercup to look for furniture and get ideas for our new home. They have amazing furniture Shannon greeted us with her warm smile and was so helpful as we walked with her throughout the store. Furniture shopping can be overwhelming but Shannon made the process fun and enjoyable. She was patient.. answered our questions.. took the time to sit at the computer to look up options and print out items that weren't on the floor. Shannon didn't know if she was going to get a sale or not from us but nonetheless she gave us 110% of her time and creativity. We did end up buying from Shannon and will continue to work with her in the future. If you want a great experience and amazing furniture pieces I highly recommend HD Buttercup and also working with Shannon!!

Honestly the worst customer service I have ever received! We bought new furniture that was not in a sale section! It arrived all scratched and dirty from the warehouse as if it was a floor/ display sample. To process an exchange it took over 2 weeks and I was told I would be contacted from the customer service department to schedule delivery, nobody called, after another two weeks I called myself and they scheduled delivery for that week. After the phone call I received a text with the confirmation of the time, and an automated phone call, after I hang up, it kept calling me additional 10 times, one after another to the point that I had to block the number. On the day of the delivery, I get a call from HD Buttercub (coco republic) to notify me that the delivery was cancelled cause I didn't confirm it!!! I literally cleared my day for this cause they give you a 5 hour delivery window! It's a month later and I still have scratched furniture worth thousands of dollars. Save yourself the headache and order from Restoration Hardware, where they value your business and time. Never again!

Been shopping here for clients, it changes a lot. Sales staff is good, but there are inventory issues. If that gets resolved it would be better. It appears there is no visual people anymore, store needs a visual team to bring it back the way it was years ago. Lots of changes, but still a place to stop and shop.

I've purchased many pieces from HD Buttercup - a large over sized couch, a wood dining table, a three seat couch, and a sofa bed. While help in the store is non-existent and things are overpriced, the pieces are beautiful and the quality is good. Delivery has always worked out without a hitch (within the quoted window) but at $179 to drive a piece of furniture across town and drop it off, I would expect no less (they do group multiple pieces into one flat delivery rate but alas, I ordered one piece at a time). Where they drop a star is in how the customer service handled my most recent complaint with them. I ordered a sofabed that was advertised as sleeping 2 and didn't have dimensions listed on the website. It did not sleep 2, as it is the size of a twin size bed, but it is beautiful so I decided to keep it. One snag though - upon delivery the box was damaged and one of the arms was damaged in the corresponding spot. For a couch that retails for $2600 before tax and delivery, this was not acceptable. The delivery workers documented the incident, taking photos and telling me to contact HD Buttercup where they could arrange a discount or a swap. We had tried calling them while the delivery workers were still here but no one answered, so I agreed to accept the couch and keep trying to contact them. I decided to email them since they weren't answering the phone, and got an immediate response from Barbara V who said that she would check the inventory and arrange for a swap. Awesome. Except that Barbara ghosted me. I followed up 8-10 times over the next few months, and nothing. Finally my bf tried calling and got ahold of Cynthia Soleto, who put him on hold for a long time and he eventually hung up. Cynthia was great and emailed me to follow up on the call and offer me a 15% discount since the couch was out of stock. I asked if a refund was possible instead and she came back a week later with an offer for 50% off. I once again asked for a refund, which was approved about a week later, but I had to pay the $179 each way delivery charge. So I'm out close to $400 on a couch that arrived damage and that took me months to return due to lack of response from customer service in the meantime. Not thrilled about any of this, but glad that they did take offer me a discount and that they did it back at all (despite charging me for delivery both ways). If they had waived the delivery at least one of the ways this would be a 4 star review and if both ways a 5 star review, but alas, here we sit with a 3 star.

Huge space. Girls at greeting desk pretend to be informed. I ask for office chairs. They point West + North. I walk the entire store. The only chairs I need are in the SouthEast corner. Nice music tho. Some hyper caucasian staff young dude kept making bee-lines into my walking path. Not even offering assistance. Just wanted eye contact. (12/6/19) I walked every little bit. It's like an informational desert with ppl staring. Cant tell if they work there / they're just nosy / both. The space is ideal for stuffy/ stiff bedroom looks. The many Venice blvd doors give no indication they're all sealed. I had a limitless budget, shopping from a family fund, but I left immediately. Scandanavian Designs nextdoor genuinely appeared more practical, in several ways. But Buttercup benefits from the Father's Office traffic. I can imagine folks who woulda gained from walking just a little further West, but didn't make it down the block that extra 200ft.

Purchased two chairs from HD Buttercup. One of them started to come apart at a seem. When we notified them of the faulty construction of the chair they not only refused to stand behind their product, but we had to chase them down to get an answer from their customer service. Wasted our money purchasing from here. Find a seller that stands behind their product.

A very frustrating experience!!! One sectional sofa I was very interested in and contacted the support email then got redirected to someone called Robin. She is really not to be trusted. She gave you false information why it's not needed when the center sectional was missing. She also constantly delay answering me the shipping cost and at the end simply told me the products I wanted are no longer there and I need to call customer support myself. Really horrific service. Super unprofessional

This company is not BBB accredited and this is apparent in their operations. I ordered a bar cabinet which arrived damaged, two months after I ordered the piece. The customer support agent for online orders informed me that I would need to wait for the cabinet to arrive back at their facility before I was issued a refund and after approving my refund for September 1st the processing took 10 days. Extremely slow, cumbersome experience with poor quality furniture that was destroyed during shipment. Avoid at all costs.

This has to be the most disappointing furniture purchase I've ever made. Spent over $1k on a credenza from HD, arranged to pick it up and have movers bring it into my home, and once unpacked found the piece completely ruined. I've been trying to resolve with their help desk for weeks but still have not been able to get a replacement, credit or arrange for a return. I even offered to switch out the stained brass pieces (or have them fix) and no answer. Like I told the customer service agent, I expect better quality from IKEA. If this piece had been $300 I would spray paint the pieces and be done, but at $1300, this is just ridiculous. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Overpriced for the quality.

I've been there several times but never saw anything worth getting. Prices are too high, even with some of the sales. I understand some prices are negotiable, but I hate that and would prefer not to haggle. The furniture is also poorly staged so it's hard to get a sense of how it would or could look in your home. Everything is pretty disjointed. I understand that some people like HD Buttercup, but I'm not a fan. The test should be if you find anything actually worth getting. I've been there maybe 5 times, hoping to buy something, but come away empty handed each time.

My partner and I have been indecisive so it really helped to have a lot of different styles all in one place to choose from. you can pretty much get your entire house furnished in one place. The customer service was also incredible. Five stars!

My husband and I have been looking for several months for the perfect dining room table for our great room. So happy to say that we found a beautiful table last Saturday and even happier to of had a wonderful person named Tony who helped us from beginning to the end of our purchase. Tony is very knowledgeable about product , design & has an extremely warm personality. This is very rare these days to find someone in a store like Tony. He is a real asset to your company! I happen to have been a retail fashion Buyer in my past career and I can speak honestly that having a specialist assist when making a decision / purchase is beyond valuable. After we purchased our dining table, I started looking at your rug selection. Tony knew exactly what size we needed without googling it LOL... We have shopped extensively in furniture stores and this was a very enjoyable experience. I called today to tell Tony, "Thank you" but Nathen told me it was his day off. I will reach out to him tomorrow as we are also in need of a buffet storage unit and a large mirror for our mantel. Thank you, S. & K. Siegel

I have been looking for a new sofa for a few months and went to all the usual suspect furniture stores. In other places, associates were pretty clueless and not helpful...So, by the time I got to HD Buttercup, I was hopeless and tired. I was in for a treat, the team at HD Buttercup was nice and welcoming, and someone at the front desk asked me what I needed. I was then met by Josh who literally CHANGED THE GAME of furniture shopping! Josh was very patient with me, listened to my requirements and really did go above and beyond to show me all options. His customer obsession and passion for design, really shined through! He also was not pushing me at all, as I did go home before returning to buy the sofa. 10/10 recommend and 100/10 recommend asking for Josh when you go there!

Had to give it a star but they deserve 0 Stars! Simply put - the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE & SHITY QUALITY PRODUCTS. We bought a sectional right before Covid and the cushions are sinking, it's completely filled with lint all over. I emailed customer care (waste of time) they never responded & a my husband had to call the store to email someone directly. We did, forwarding 1st email + pics, had someone come out, he said he'd write a report-including pics & they'd contact us....3 wks later (after emailing weekly) still no response. Phone #'s listed on Yelp + website are useless-not even sure how my husband got through. I called customer care, the store and no answer. For what they charge- it's not even worth it. We bought a couch from Macy's which lasted 7 yrs w/no issues, purchasing this horrible couch wanted to change up the style-regrettable move. Used to be my INSPO decorating spot but Pinterest is where it's at. HD Buttercup-come get your Shitty-Ass Over-Priced - Sectional! Purchase at your own risk. You DO NOT get what you OVER -PAY for.

So disappointed in the customer service. We bought 6 dining chairs from here in the spring of 2019. In November-December, 2019 1 broke. They responded right away and said they would talk to their supplier. Before we heard back, a second one broke the same way. Follow up emails with the same response. Then a third broke in a new way, then a 4th and then 2 more. Our emails have not been responded to further. These were not cheap chairs. They were expensive and we bought from this company because of its reputation and that its chairs appeared to be legit and not knock offs. Now I don't know. This review is really a cry for help. I would like to get some resolution, but in the MONTHS since my wife first wrote them, other than promising to get in touch with its supplier, we have had no response and no resolution. As a result, I can't recommend this place for anything that costs more than a few bucks, because it appears they do not stand behind their products. :-(

It seems they're not looking for new business - spent days trying to reach them via phone to no avail. Calls always disconnect after a 20-minute hold. I should not have to cross town to ask a simple question which could be answered by phone.

WARNING. Do not buy furniture here. I purchased a coffee table and a sofa. The wood on the coffee table is of poor quality and cracking all over. They refuse to replace or fix. Very low quality products. It appears H.D. uses cheap wood that isn't fully dry before making products.

Had major issues trying to buy a sectional from another company (Joybird), so after cancelling my order with them I looked at HD Buttercup. Their prices are high, but the quality is top notch. Found the couch I wanted online. Went into store to check it out. Was assisted by two sales people, and Annemarie eventually helped me through the process. I told her my troubles and wait for my attempt to purchase the former couch, and she was able to schedule delivery in 48 hours. The crew came, set the couch up, were extremely friendly. Communication was clear and easy through the whole process. I now have a couch that I am beyond happy with. It may even be comfier than my bed!

Hi I am a professional interior decorator and I don't often have time to write reviews. However, I had to write a review this evening because I had the best experience at HD Buttercup in Costa Mesa. The store is huge and it's a little daunting trying to find your way through all their great stock. Thanks to a brilliant sales person named John I had the very best shopping experience possible. John was so helpful and knowledgeable of all the stock, he made my shopping experience both pleasurable and fun. Now as an interior decorator I have my new favorite furniture store in the OC to buy amazing furniture from for all my clients. In addition I'm looking forward to working with John again soon. I like probably about 20% of this store but you can't possibly love everything! What I do love is that there's a decent variety and I'm able to get ideas from browsing. My fave section is in the center threat where all the dark leather furniture and sale merchandise is upstairs by it.

Worst customer service EVER!! Paid $1500 for a chair that was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks later.. it's now 4 months later, and still no chair! But they certainly have my $1500! Every time I call, nobody has an answer for me, my sales rep blows me off constantly- and they literally give zero F*ks about it! They could care less whether I stay or go. On a side note, they have a beautiful showroom, and I literally want everything in it. But next time I will vote with my dollar and avoid them at all cost
