Head Lettuce - La Jolla

I’m shocked by the reviews. I was expecting to receive “not so good” quality food, but I can only review what I’ve tasted. The Chicken Cobb Salad was the best salad I’ve ever had. The lettuce tasted fresh and crisp. The chicken had excellent flavor and great crispy texture. The bacon adds more saltiness to the salad. They keep it simple with eggs, tomatoes, and avocado. Combined with the honey chipotle dressing and it is marvelous. I like how they keep it simple. A little pricey agreed, but so worth it.

Had high expectations of this place, we came in ordered 2 wraps, one Tex-Mex and one Tijuana Caesar. Flavor was average, the wraps were humongous you couldn’t eat them, we ended up unwrapping them just so we could eat. Not coming back. The pita house next door is way better.

My mom and I LOVED our salads! I got the Mex-Tex and added chicken and my mom ordered he Tritón. It was a bit pricy for a salad but the servings were very generous and it was so good that I would come back!

Head lettuce is generally good. I ordered a salad with chicken and found chunks of steak throughout the salad. A little off putting. Makes me wonder about food handling and storage

I’m so glad this place exists. It’s a great and convenient option for lunch. I’ve tried the Vibrant and the Greek Triton bowls. Both were great. Delicious, fresh, healthy and satisfying. I ordered online ahead of time and my order was ready at the time I requested. So easy. The ingredients are clean and healthy so I felt re- energized following lunch and ready to go back to work for the latter half. I look forward to trying other dishes. This will definitely become a go-to place for when I eat out for lunch.

Peri Peri Chicken Bowl is where it’s at. Pricing is high, but inflation is as well. Good quality and amount of food.

I really wanted to like this place. Ordered a salad online on 9/17, had my co worker pick up my food. And, to my dismay, all our orders (3 in total) were prepared with wilted, brown chopped lettuce. I called and informed one of the staff members the status of the food. She spoke to the manager and let me know that my next order will be comped, which was appreciated. Fast forward to today- I call in to place an order. Attempt to use my comp (which I was never sent or texted, because I was told it would be saved to my info). After the staff member spoke with her manager, she responded that my comp would be honored, but normally people wouldn't wait this long to use their comp, so it sounded like I was being done a favor... 😶 I didn't know there was a time limit given for complimentary food. Given my first experience, you can understand the hesitation. Thank you Head Lettuce for the experience. I will be sure to let my fellow co workers where NOT to eat.

First time visit. Was so excited for a huge fresh salad. Paid 4 dollors extra for "grilled chicken" and it was nothing but dried out, waaay salty crumbs of chicken, not freshly grilled chicken. Whole salad was so salty I could not finish it. No wonder they dont show pics of all their salads, their chicken, and other protein add ons. And if you opt to eat in, they still serve food to you in plastic bowls that are not recycled. Will not be back.
