I happened to just walk into this restaurant because of the outside seating. The gentleman at the front was so awesome he let me know that they have onion rings if I ask even though it’s not on the menu. My server was BRI. She was AMAZING. I asked her if she recommended the burger and she said it was so flavorful. The magic word. Let me say this burger was one of the best ones I’ve had. The juiciness of the meat with it being medium well, the buns were perfectly toasted and soft. There was almost a charred yummy taste with pickles, red onions, tomato and the show stopper was the bacon relish!!! It made the whole burger. The onion rings were pretty large and cooked to perfection!! It came with a delicious ranch that I think was homemade. Overall the ambiance, food and service was A++. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality Bri!

We were some wine tasting and wanted some lunch, went here at 2 pm and we were limited to the brunch menu until 2:30. We both had the burger as it was closest to a lunch item and shared some truffle fries. The burgers were a double cheeseburger and pretty juicy. The fries were not that special but service was good and attentive. Nice to sit outside and enjoy a nice relaxing lunch... would have liked to have seen the full menu.

The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We visited on a Sunday morning—it was somewhat busy, but not overly crowded. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes for our server to come by, and then roughly 40 minutes for our food to arrive (we ordered three dishes). We weren’t checked on again after ordering, which felt a bit off as we needed water refills. I ended up asking for the check when our food was brought out, just in case no one returned. Great food, but the service experience made the visit less enjoyable than it could have been.

We were drop-in diners last evening, a Saturday, and the staff was clearly overwhelmed. Even the host was serving food and busing tables, despite the fact that more than half the tables were empty. That told me there was some unexpected staffing problem that evening. Nonetheless, when we were seated, we were welcomed warmly by our smiling and clearly NOT overwhelmed server, Bri. Beyond the attentive service, she contributed to us having a wonderful evening out. We’ll see you again!

Food was bad and unworthy of the area and the service was terrible. We ordered a bucket of fried chicken and a salad to share. When they arrived we weren’t given plates. And a request for plates proved to be difficult for them. When we asked for plates the server removed the bucket from its platter and we were told to use that. Still leaving us one plate down. We asked for another, and they brought a very tiny plate. I suppose this is the kind of place where buckets of chicken aren’t meant to be shared? Odd vibes, bad food, and there are so many better options.

Avoid. Nice location, big menu, unfortunate service. Wife and I sat at the bar - after receiving menus and a drink, the bar tender spent the next 10mins chatting with her co-worker about their social activities while we waited to place dinner orders. We requested to be moved outside, were seated, and sat for another ten minutes without a server coming to the table. Lots of great options around the beautiful town square - take advantage of them.

The staff was friendly and the patio is dog friendly. Did was good. Felt like the ribs could have used a piece of corn bread or something but the slaw was good.

Can be said very simply. Good food and good beer for little money. Can highly recommend their burger here.

We stopped here on the way to Mendicino and were craving a burger (or something). HBG was on the radar. We saw mixed reviews but thought we'd try it and we're glad we did. First, the outdoor seating is killer! Probably 4to1 ratio of outdoor to indoor and the weather was perfect. Lots of shade and comfortable tables outside - check. Then my wife ordered her normal, custom burger - medium rare - check, somewhat floppy bacon - check, sauteed mushrooms - check, smashed avocado - check. Basically a perfect burger. I went with the crispy chicken sandwich and it....was....huge. Perfectly seasoned chicken breast, nice spicy aioli, lettuce, tomato, just wow. So...next was the fries - many mixed reviews with the fries on Yelp. My wife went truffle-parmesan, I went garlic. They were flavorful, had a nice crisp bite and we traded fries back and forth. Not floppy, but really well done. Service was fantastic - beer selection was on point. BTW, this was a Wednesday afternoon, and it was packed! Maybe some of the other reviewers had a "bad day" at the HBG? Their process and service seemed so on point - overheard lots of great communication in the back of the house. Hard to believe they have frequent uneven days. I would absolutely give this place a chance. We had a fantastic meal!

I have never been to Healdsburg Bar & Grill before. We met some friends and stopped by for a beer and burger. It was not crowded and we sat outside in a large outdoor seating area that we had very few customers. I ordered a Lagunitas PILS beer and a Classic Cheeseburger cooked medium with fries. We enjoyed our beer and the food was brought out. The burger was cooked perfectly but the fried could have been a little more crunchy. Everything tasted good and would order again. I think we were forgotten because there were very few people out there. We had to track down an employee to get catchup and later napkins. Later another group went outside and we had better service but not great. I would certainly go back there again.

Idk what happened to this place. As locals, we used to love going during the weekdays. Today was a total disappointment from the start. Ya, we got there at 645 when I found out they close at 7 but I had no idea they close early. They ended up treated us like shit the entire time since we got there close to their closing time. We spend $150 and get treated like shit and on a Wednesday when it's mostly locals there. Won't be back for a long while. So many other places would appreciate business during the slow weekdays that I'd rather spend my money on. Not to mention their menu is significantly smaller than it's been in the past. Basically your options are a burger or chicken burger or a Gyro. All such simple items that can easily be made anywhere else, to include at home. Sad for them.

Great Salmon Pita! Marco was very friendly and helpful. Small menu, and a decent wine list. The patio was very loud with kids running around and screaming outside. If you want quiet sit inside!

It was a very hot day. We saw a good number of people leaving this location so we came in. The chicken wings are nice and crispy. We also got the fried or skillet fried brussels sprouts which I think are really dang good. I will be back for these one more time.

Healdsburg is such a cute area! The weather was perfect and we sat outside. Ordered a cheeseburger, chipotle French fries, and a chicken Caesar salad. The food was good and the service was great. Dog friendly on the patio!

It's so cute here! Great little bar and tables inside and out! The bartender was nice and gave me some samples of the wine. Did tv try the food but it looks good. I'd come back to try it for sure .

Pretty standard fare but wasn't bad. Hubby enjoyed the tuna poke and I had a Caesar salad with chicken. They were busy so service was a little slow but ambiance was fine...plenty of tables with room between and tvs above the bar area in the first room.

I've heard mixed reviews from my friends on this place but I liked it here! All the food came out fast and we didn't need to wait in a crazy long line to get food on a Saturday night! I got the falafel, it had lots of flavor and wasn't overly dry like some other falafels I've had. Very happy with my experience here!

Solid burgers, awesome vibe for outdoor seating, good service. On a sunny day the outdoor seating is A+ with tons of tables, and awnings. The indoor seating is fine too, but the patio is the place to be. It's a burger spot, so get a burger! The classic is good. The fry choices are solid - the Parmesan truffle fries are my go to. Drink selection is decent, as are the other menu options. Staff is helpful and very attentive. Will certainly come back!

The food is rather boring. The onion rings are good but the burger was overcooked and uninteresting. Considering it was so prominently featured on the menu I would expect more. The service is non-existent. Took a while to order even though it was 2pm on a Sunday so not peak lunch time. Lots of empty tables. Once they dropped the food they never said another word. We had to flag someone down to get the bill. Our drinks were empty since the food was left and no one asked if we wanted another.

We came on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. We had chicken and waffles which were super delicious along with the tasty burger and fries while enjoying a cocktail and wine. We waited about 15 mins for our table outside. Server was friendly and easygoing. We enjoyed sitting outside and the nice weather. I'll be back!

Solid. Not great but good. Quality seems to have fluctuated for a bit, hence why I haven't been there for a bit. I love they have a gyro on the menu. I've been looking for a place to find a good gyro. If they were to knock it out of the park, the gyros would sell like proverbial hotcakes since there aren't any gyro places nearby. Service is pretty good, especially at the bar. Nice ambience. I would go more often if there was more parking. Obviously, that's not their fault in anyway whatsoever. Good place. It kinda feels like they try to do too much versus the kind of places which have a very limited menu but are black belts in what they do. Good place, just feels like there is even greater potential.

Please just shut down. Honestly it used to be really good like 5 years ago but now they don't care about their food at all. Greasy fries, fatty chicken tenders, not attentive and rude staff. Chicken strips are better at a bowling alley. This spot needs to get bought by another place. Beautiful spot but terrible restaurant. Do the owners even care? Someone please buy them out so we can enjoy this area.

Great place to grab lunch between wine tastings. There is a lot of seating inside and outside, some under a patio & some on the lawn. Those seats are all dog-friendly, and as soon as we sat down they brought our dog a bowl of water. Service was friendly and the food was solid. The burger was great. Just what you want when you order a classic burger. But they also have unusual things, like the Japanese style 'tots' which were fun. And they accommodated my wish for my pita wrap to be 'unwrapped' so it was more like a mediterranean salad with a pita on the side. Lots of good beers on tap too. A great break in a busy day.

HBG is a good place to come for a casual outdoor meal. My server was attentive and super friendly and food/drink arrived quickly. If you're starving, you'll be able to take that first bite not too long after ordering (or that first sip of wine...)! :) I'm not thrilled with paying $18 for a sandwich that doesn't come with a side dish, but I'm ye pulled pork sandwich was absolutely delicious, although a bit greasy. Still - I would order it again!

This place was good several years ago. It's been bad for years now. The food is uninspiring and not much better than fast food. Service is below average. It's a really ideal space that could be so much better. It's fine fora beer. I would not eat here.

While I've eaten at HBG many times in the past, today, thanks to my wonderful waitress Angelique I went out on a limb and tried something different. The grilled octopus with pesto & greens dressed in a beautiful vinaigrette along with a chilled watermelon gazpacho which was divine! Thank you! Go get it

Great food, atmosphere, and service. My girlfriend and I each had a burger, both cooked perfectly. Garlic fries were fire, too.

Outstanding! We started with the flat bread mushroom. Could've made a meal out of it by itself. Best known for the wonderful hamburger, but I personally had the salmon pita involved with wasabi. Simple put incredible!

We spent a week in Healdsburg for a wedding and ate lunch here Twice. Both Vegetarians. The ambiance is lovely, the service was great. Both times we had the Impossible Burgers. We also ate at Bollywood Indian Cuisine and it was as good as it gets. And cheap. Was not impressed with Little Saint.

18 dollars for this? The thinnest 2 slices of "chicken breast" and they were breaded, 4mm thickness max! A little waffle and 5 pecans. I won't be coming again, ever. Very disappointed.

We stopped in for lunch on Sunday as we were headed to Ukiah and the food was sensational. A couple of us had the sesame crusted salmon salad. I asked that my salmon be cooked medium rare and it came out perfectly... so deliciously moist! The lettuce was nothing special, but the pickled ginger made everything come together so well; the flavor popped and made for a very memorable meal. Service was excellent and friendly and the outdoor dining patio was really pleasant. Today, on our way home, we returned for the salmon salad again (it was *that* good!). Our experience today didn't quite match with Sunday's experience. To begin with, we waited quite awhile for our salads; people who came in later were served their food before we got ours even though we ordered almost immediately since we knew what we wanted. When our salads finally arrived, the pieces of salmon were way smaller than what we had Sunday and my salad dressing didn't seem to have quite as much flavor as Sunday's dressing. Luckily, the pickled ginger provided the needed freshness to the salad, so it was still very good. The service was also not very friendly. In fact, as we were walking to our table, the hostess just handed me the menus and said, "Here" and left. They weren't any busier than they were on Sunday. The waitress seemed a bit put out when we asked about the possibility of separate checks whereas the waitress on Sunday wasn't bothered at all. Oh, well, I guess Sunday's experience will be the one I'll try to remember!

Local dinner stop-but not what we remember. Not as personable and or welcoming and the menu is smaller. If you are looking for an easy dinner stop - the location is convenient. The menu includes: a small but decent selection of starters, salads, burgers, gyro wraps, and fish and chips. Perk: Large dog friendly patio.

I had a so-so experience here before, but decided to give it another try. Came for lunch midweek. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad, which said Napa cabbage on the menu. That is typically used for this salad. When it arrived, it was served on lettuce. I would not have ordered it had I known it would arrive on lettuce. I called this to the attention of the waiter . He said it was cabbage. PLEASE ! It is easy to tell the difference - and it clearly was lettuce. When I asked him to chance with the chef, he rolled his eyes and had attitude. Came back saying " yes it has lettuce and cabbage". I never found cabbage. The salad was not very good, had a strange tasting dressing. The menu is small and it's overpriced for the quality. I don't need rude service. Won't return.

Food quality was not good. Menu choices were limited. Service was rushed. Closes at 7 pm on Fridays. Will not be going back.

I hadn't visited this restaurant for years prior to Covid. On a nice sunny Saturday late afternoon, hubby and I and the fur babies decided that it would be a good place to dine as the patio was dog friendly (always a plus for us!) The whole format is a little odd - you now walk into the restaurant and walk up to a cash register, you place your order there and they give you a number. There is not much wait staff, however they will deliver your meals to your table. I had the burger. It was served supposedly on a Cousteaux Bakery sesame bun, which was nice and soft. The burger was cooked medium rare and had lettuce and tomato. To start I had a caesar salad, which was just OK. All in all, an OK experience, but not sure if I would return. It just isn't the same dynamic anymore.

Came by for lunch with a few coworkers, for a party of 8 we were happy that our food came out quickly. We enjoyed some sun in the patio area and enjoyed cocktails while our food came out. The drinks were good and the food was okay. I ordered chicken caesar but there was nothing special about it and I felt it was lacking. The Mac & Cheese was by far the best dish according to everyone's feedback. My only complaint here was the disconnect there was amongst the serving staff. We had a hard time identifying who our server was since multiple people took our orders. This caused a mix up in our appetizers, they came out wrong but we still ate them. Overall if you're looking for a quick lunch in Healdsburg this is still a good choice.

We hadn't been there in a couple of years. Used to be our go to burger place and thought we would take my mom there for dinner. We walked to the front door and couldn't even tell if they were open. No lighting and exterior paint and plaster was falling off the building. We were greeted right away and seat at a sticky inside table with four stacked plastic cup waiting for us. Our server and all the wait staff was wonderful, but the whole interior was so depressing and dirty. The burgers and fries were just ok and horribly over priced. We walked out embarrassed and very sad for our town to have such a black eye as Healdsburg Bar & Grill. It's definitely worth saving, but someone needs to wake up and bring it back to the cheerful, fun restaurant it once was.

We stopped in on our way into town for the weekend and we're glad we did. The drinks were good and the menu was just big enough for us! I got the Mediterranean pita and it was delicious and HUGE.. I didn't expect it to be so large but once I started eating it, I was glad it was. The tzatziki sauce was so good I asked for extra to dip fries into. We also got the truffle fries, regular fries, and the bacon chips. Everything was good. We'd recommend checking this place out for lunch! Enjoy it!

Was lured in here by the smell Fried Chicken Sandwich - good huge portion, however very bland and the bread was a little stale. Even their 'spicy' sauce was definitely not spicy at all (maybe to cater to the demographics in the area). It was more mayonaise than anything, unfortunately. Overall just something to fill your stomach with but nothing that would make your mouth water Salmon Salad - good herb crusted salmon with a wasabi sauce on the side and vinaigrette for the salad. a good healthy choice that i would probably turn to if I were to balance out the greasy items Truffle Parmesan Fries - on point! aroma and taste very good and just enough salt to keep you going for more. the consistency and size of the fries are similar to fresh McDonalds fries so it's a win! Overall, only come here if you plan to get fries and maybe a salad

My wife, son and myself came here for a quick bite. This place has great outdoor seating right off the square. The service was quick and the burger was delicious. Recommend for a solid burger and good outdoor seating. We will definitely come back.

Stopped in for lunch Jan 30th. Greeted with a very unwelcoming hostess. Needed to sit outside since we had our dog with us. it was cold so, we moved a table to be more in the sun. Asked the waitress and she said it was ok. Apparently this was not ok with management and our waitress mentioned that she was in trouble for it. I asked to speak to manager to let him know it was us that moved the table and not her fault for. He was rude and abruptly said I was not allowed to touch their furniture and yelled at me. I was shocked, this I a holiday time where most greetings at restaurants are happy and welcoming. He told me to get back to my seat since my food was being delivered. The food was good and our waitress was amazing, happy and attentive. But, will never return with nasty and rude attitude of hostess and manager. Too many other options where they grateful and are happy to have my business. it's expensive to eat out and the experience should be appreciative and welcoming. Two stars review because, waitress (she's a 5 star) and because the food was ok

Total rip-off. $16 burgers with patties the size of a single Big Mac, and the hamburgers do not come with fries. $6 extra for a small basket of fries. So, $22 for a burger and fries. I asked for an extra ranch dressing, besides the one that came with the basket of fries. Four of us at the table to share three tiny ranch dressing thimbles. I get the bill and I see they charged me a $1 for one extra ranch dressing. I'm surprised the ketchup up was free. I brought this charge to the manger's attention and he told me that was their standard practice, but he would waive the $1 charge for me. Nice try. Below par food at a high price. Avoid this place

Well, it has been a few years, and unfortunately, the restaurant has gone in a different direction than what we thought it would be. We reviewed the menu prior to visiting, and when we got there, it was claimed that it was not up to date. So, after reviewing the paper menu, we decided that we would select just a few appetizers as nothing really stuck out. Pretty much everything on the appetizer menu is fried. We were served water in plastic throw-away solo cups, and one of the sides we got was both truffle fries and garlic fries, which were served in throw-away paper boats. They used to serve water in glasses and fries in cone shaped holders. Food was mediocre at best. This place used to have a much more upscale feel, and food was so much better. Sorry, HBG B&G, you've gone WAY downhill, and today was our last visit.

Great outdoor seating and just okay food. I had the crispy chicken sandwich which was unremarkable. The fish and chips were too heavily battered, again just okay and not worth buying again. The pulled pork was not dressed with the sauce which was served on the side. The waiter was nice/friendly but failed to ever come back and check on us if we wanted refills on drinks etc.. Everyone kept saying that they remembered it being much better years ago.. sad.

Very good food .we had a lovely dinner and everyone was so professional. The fish ( halibut ) was delicious. I recommend it for a nice evening with Chardonnay to pair it

Delicious food Now it seems like ages ago, but it was only this past summer when we stopped here for a meal. Somehow I lost track of my "Check-ins" and never completed the review, but here we go! Healdsburg Bar & Grill diagonally across the street from the south-west corner of Healdsburg Plaza. They have a full bar with plenty of choices for wine and draft beer. Having visited during the COVID-19 era, we had to seat outside, but they have a large outside seating area that is semi-private (separated from the sidewalks on two sides). We sat on a corner table where we could see most of the space and I must say it was/is nicely setup with plenty of space between tables. There were three of us and I was the driver so had to settle for a light beer, but the others ordered cocktails (A Good Bloody Mary & Vodka Martini I think) and loved it. The wings were tasty and the burger was done right. I did not try it, but my significant other really liked the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. Our servers were very nice and on their toes because of all the extra walking they had to do with the outside setup; they were great! A very pleasant experience altogether.

A little pricey but everything was on point and we are happy we ate here today. Service was extremely fast! We ordered, got our food, ate it and paid in about 30 minutes flat! And I didn't feel rushed, and I took my time eating! We had the ahi tuna salad, Caesar salad, basket of sweet potato fries (best fries ever!) and 1 glass of Sauvignon blanc. Total cost about $70 for 2 ppl for lunch. The fast service and on point food and perfect ambience, and of course great location right on the plaza made the bill totally worth it! Parking was easy in the pay lot across the street paid via text on phone $5 per hour. I would come back here just for the sweet potato fries! They were super thin cut, super crispy and piping hot when they came to our table. Order these even if you're not a fan of sweet potatoes!

I love the salmon encrusted salad, and if it weren't for use of farmed salmon, I would have given five stars.

Sesame encrusted Salmon salad wasabi - Yummy! Light with many textures and flavors. Highly recommend!

Great place. Food was excellent and a large selection of beer and spirits. Service was fast and courteous. Highly recommend.

Took guests from out of town to Alexander Valley and Dry Creek for wine tasting for the day. In between Cabernets and Zinfandels tastes we stopped in for a burger! Had the best poppers to start, ordered the beer battered onion rings for the table that were amazing. Since I drove I had an Arnold Palmer but they discovered Santa Rosa Brewery Pinney Elder! We walked out satisfied! Nice people serving too!

Order , then find a seat ;) first timer. I really loved the ambiance. The outdoor seating was nice. They have heaters up for those cooler days. the food was delicious, the fries specially! we order the garlic fries (basket of fries). I also order a "pink drink" which was vodka & let me telll you- that drink was well served. So good. Friendly staff! can't wait to come back !

Solid lunch. I had a beet salad that was fine and my husband's burger was good. Service was super warm and friendly. Pretty classic diner lunch - portions were good and food was hearty!

The food here is mediocre.. The waitstaff is less than mediocre. There wasn't a smile on anyone's face. They all looked like they hated their job.

Oh man I dislike giving a bad review so let's not think of it that way its my experience & maybe yours will be better. Look I like to eat & I eat out nearly every day & sometimes twice why I'm stating this is because I eat out to eat not to socialize or drink I don't drink so when I eat out I want it to taste good healthy or not. This place I have been to before but I never came back & I can't recall why so I went in again. It's very inviting with an excellent atmosphere for starters! You read the menu and order pick up your number & drink then find a seat. Super easy love that! Not a ton of interesting food options kinda basic like what you'd expect at a golf course burgers fries etc. we sat outside & the weather was perfect it was splendid! My husband had the fried chicken sandwich. It presented perfectly but it was so greasy that he pulled the breading off like it was skin. The breading wasn't crunchy either & the chicken looked off color it was gross tbt but the oil didn't taste old if that helps. I had the Rueben & that too presented nicely & it came with a little assortment of pickled peppers & pickles that were good but the sandwich didn't pass for me. It was fatty and I had to wrestle it from between my teeth using my fingers & I don't like doing that with every bite however it didn't taste bad just nothing I will remember. Lastly the fries they looked awesome but they were over fried unfortunately. They were thin cut which I like but hollow inside every single one I tried & believe I kept going back in hoping for a good one but nope never happened. I think this is a great place to sit outside & hang out but food wise idk I'm thinking I will try the salad next time because I really want to like this place!

Food is decent here, service is very nice. Large outdoor area for dinner under cover and out in the fenced yard. Dog friendly as well. Limited hours here, usually closes around 7pm so plan on coming on the early side.

Came here for lunch. Ordered a Swiss Mushroom burger medium rare. Burger was overcooked, dry, and tasted like shoe leather. How could a place known for their burgers, guve such a poor representatkon of one. Pass!
