Healdsburg Plaza is a wonderful park centrally located in Healdsburg. Healdsburg Plaza is a multipurpose park with comfortable benches, walkways, beautiful landscaping, and surrounded by free parking and local shops and restaurants. We arrived in December and were treated with beautiful Christmas Trees and Holiday settings for Healdsburg Holiday Magic! Do yourself a favor and check out Healdsburg Plaza, you will not be disappointed! If you find my review helpful please click the like icon in the shape of a heart ❤️ Thank you!

Wow, such a cute town! I absolutely love it. Dog-friendly everywhere, with great energy and welcoming vibes. Enjoyed live music in the park on a Thursday afternoon in August, and the weather was just fabulous for walking around.

We love the square. So much to to do. You don't have to run around to taste wine, there are several great tasting rooms around the square. The food options are endless.

Google
Cutie little park! This is perfect for a picnic, stroll, or deep breath. There are areas for kids to play and adults to hang out. They have public trash and recycling which seems to help keep the park in perfect condition.

Google
Comfortable, relaxing and quite beautiful plaza that acts as the center of town. Good mix of locals and visitor all enjoying the beautiful weather and an ongoing selection of events like a weekly Farmers Market, art festivals, music and the annual Christmas tree lighting celebration. A true gem!

Yelp
I love Healdsburg. I try to visit often. I love sitting in the park- especially at Christmas when the decorations are up. There's so much to enjoy in this town - but I love pizzando, the gourmet shop, the bakeries, the restaurants (Valette is a favorite of ours) and the clothing shops - plus there's a honey ship, with mead! The honey is fantastic.

Yelp
Healdsburg Plaza is a fun town square with a gazebo, grass, and shade trees, surrounded by great restaurants, wine bars, and boutiques. We sat at the park while waiting for our restaurant reservation as we were early and they were busy. Plenty of people enjoying the park but still relaxing, and surprisingly enjoyable way to pass the time while visiting the wine country area.

Yelp
The Healdsburg Plaza has a nice grassy area and gazebo and is located in the heart of Healdsburg. This plaza has redwood trees and plenty of benches in order to sit and relax. At certain times of the year they will also have live music. This plaza is surrounded by restaurants, wine tasting rooms, art galleries, and others shops. It's also in close proximity to hotels so if you are staying in the area, everything is within a short walking distance. There is so much to explore in the area by simply walking around. It's a great place to spend the day and enjoy all that the downtown area has to offer! If you have a sweet tooth, there is an ice cream store. If you are a dog lover, there is also an adorable shop in order to get gifts for your four legged friends. It's also a great area to get a gift for a family member/friend or get something special for yourself.

Yelp
A Plaza with a lot of history! Healdsburg Plaza was established in 1857. The intent was to develop the area into a beautiful space for community use, and judging from my personal experience, founders succeeded. I read somewhere that the original plan was too build churches around the plaza and not let it be surrounded by bars and saloons, but obviously that plan did not work out! There are so many nice shops, restaurants, bars and wineries around the plaza that one may have to visit many times to cover all of their preferred options! Every time we visit we run into folks who are enjoying a walk in and around the little plaza and are willing to stop and have a pleasant chat. It may not have churches built around it as originally planed, but it is a wonderful little community plaza. If you are interested in the history, I encourage you to go to this site that provides a wealth of information, a good part of which I am willing to bet will surprise you: http://www.sonic.net/janosko/ourhealdsburg.com/history/healdsburg_plaza.htm

Yelp
Very relaxing town Square. Beautifully manicured lawns and perfectly trimmed old large trees. This Square is a pleasure for the eyes! In the summer time, there's a farmers market here with live music playing in the large gazebo. A great spot to experience and please your eyes.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in Healdsburg, I always try to make it a point to and stop at this plaza. But, why you ask? I'd like to think of Healdsburg Plaza as the core of the city. It links many of Healdsburg's most popular places within close proximity of each other. I adore Healdsburg Plaza. The entire setup is just so appealing. You can literally park your car anywhere within Tyne plaza and just walk around and explore. This part of town has a very vintage type of feel to it. The architecture is stunning and everything that you could possibly need is super accessible. I love the beautiful gazebo that's centered right in the middle of the plaza. There's a large grassy field that's filled with picnic tables, benches, and a really pretty water fountain. Perfect for people watching, relaxing, and dog play. So many great restaurants nearby from Barbecue, to Italian, to brunch. There is NO shortage of wine, and the plaza has several different tasting rooms for your sipping pleasure. They've also got a nice variety of cocktails bars and taprooms too. Grocery stores and shopping are within a minute's walk away. And of course, delicious desserts for your sweet tooth. During the holidays, they deck the part of town put and they'll throw little events here. It's honestly really fun and I always look forward to stopping here when I'm in town. When in doubt, just stop by the plaza to get the best experience of Healdsburg that you can.

Yelp
Love! LOve! LOVe! LOVE! This beautiful small town plaza nestled in the heart of Healdsburg! The incredible landscape and layout of this public gathering plaza has bench seating throughout the park with walkways leading up to a central entertainment stage. The almost intoxicating floral smell of the blossoms fills your nostrils as you walk toward the center stage. The Plaza also features free live musical performances from local artists on weekends. (Maybe during the weekdays too?) I witnessed a gentleman playing his fiddle and singing folk songs on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The plaza is filled with beautiful flowers, bushes and a variety of fabulous trees. There are several Magnificent Redwoods located throughout the outer edges of this epic plaza park. There is also a nice mix of tourists, young & old locals and those with their dogs on leashes. This wonderful outdoor relaxation center is surrounded by local downtown businesses with limited parking. One of my favorite stops on my Northern California Vacation. Five Epic Stars for that small town All-American Feel, Spirit of Outdoor Freedom & Enjoyment for all!

Yelp
Healdsburg Plaza is one of my favorite places in all of Sonoma County! There is so much to do on the plaza from wine tasting to dining to shopping to enjoying ice cream and sweet treats and so much more! The plaza really is a special place in the heart of Healdsburg. Many events happen throughout the year on the plaza, which makes it a special place. One event that I always like to enjoy is during the summer months on Tuesday evenings. You can bring your own wine and food and listen to live music all for free. There are also local food vendors where you can grab a bite to eat. I've been enjoying that event for years before COVID. There is plenty of parking in downtown and you can walk to just about anything you want right on the square. In addition to lots of things to do on the plaza there are also a lot of hotels, which make it the perfect place to stay and relax and enjoy some wine and dining too. Cheers to this amazing town!

Yelp
love this Plaza. there are a bunch of cute little shops to check out, a nice grassy area with benches to sit at and enjoy the day, and so many restaurants to check out. it is definitely one of the cleanest plazas around, which only makes it much more appealing. on weekends you can find some fun event taking place that includes booths, music, and food. worth a visit, especially during the holidays.

Yelp
Absolute heart of Hburg. Vibrant little shops and near top restaurants. Park the car and explore on foot. Lunch? Try HBGrill. Dinner? Only Baci is worth it. Start at the bar before dinner. Make reservations in advance. Try a Dry Martini straight up...

Yelp
The Healdsburg Plaza has improved over the years. Once a shabby homeless hangout, it now has sculptures ranging from a 9/11 memorial to another for military. There's the millstone from Cyrus (Can't be tamed) Alexander's grist mill, along with a date palm from the Canary Islands, and a coast redwood. The gazebo has been splendidly redone. It's become a hangout for picnickers, dog walkers, families, Jehovah's Witnesses, a truly community place. Behind the gazebo&events signage is a beautiful Chinese dawn redwood, an ancestor of the coastal redwoods: http://coastalredwoodsecosystem.blogspot.com/2011/05/rare-dawn-redwood-in-healdsburg-ca.html Interestingly, in Asia, the dawn redwood is used for art in miniature- bonsai. Healdsburg Plaza has undergone a much needed- and beautiful- transformation, like a dawn redwood taking on its vernal greenery.

Yelp
Cute downtown plaza with lots of benches to sit and relax, plenty of trees for shade and an overall all quaint small town vibe. It's fun to stroll around the plaza to the various shops and galleries, then get a snack and just chill in the heart of it all. Friendly, clean and plenty of free 3 hour parking. Healdsburg plaza is a nice park to enjoy post adventures in town. Seems like a great little community area too, with Halloween activities and the Christmas tree lighting. Great little spot in the center of town.

Yelp
No dogs allowed in the park - okay, we just drove two hours to visit this cute town and now you want us to lock our dogs in the car while we walk through a park. NO! We ended up just walking around the park and looking in. Must be because of all those bad dog owners giving EVERY dog owner a bad name. Sad, because we do pick up after our dog, we do keep our dogs on leashes and we are respectful of other people around us. It was a bummer

Yelp
We drove up here as part of our Sonoma County trip to visit wineries and see old towns and plazas. This plaza is smaller than Sonoma where we stayed but there are more stores in Healdsburg's plaza and we agreed that we like this place much better. We shopped, visited Bear Republic Brewery, WIlliamson Winery tasting room and had lunch at a restaurant that serves grilled cheese sandwiches in different styles. We both agreed we could live in this town. Nice place and worth a visit.

Yelp
The other review on here saying the plaza is not dog friendly is mistaken. all of Healdsburg is dog friendly as long as it isn't some where that food is served and most restaurants here have outside patios where you can eat with your four legged friend.
