Heart of Darkness Craft Brewery

It's been on my list for a while but finally I had the chance to visit when friends from abroad were craving something like "home". My mind immediately went to Heart of Darkness and I'm not disappointed. Great service and amazing burgers are being served. A large selection of beers is definitely a bonus as well.

They have western fare here and we ordered a couple of things. The Barbacoa tacos were good, Buffalo wings were too spicy, brisket was dry though. The oysters however were really fresh and delicious. Ambiance is nice as well as their selection of beer.

The Eloquent Phantom Imperial Stout may be the best stout I've ever tasted. Great atmosphere. Good food. Highly recommended. 2 thumbs 👍

Very good beer. Has an inside air-conditioned part and a courtyard open to the regular elements. Bloke behind the bar was a nice guy. The bites on the menu are literal bites... so don't if you're hungry. On the other hand, the brisket chilli fries were a decent serve and quite nice.

Great service, beer and atmosphere. Didn’t get food, but menu looked good. Fun music and merch. Free stickers! Just ask.

Great range of beers on tap, the ones I tried were all top-notch. Had the tacos as well, which were lovely. Great venue, staff were knowledgeable and spoke excellent English.

Great brewery, good vibes, good service. Had a tasting paddle and got to try a few before deciding on which ones to get. The seasonal cucumber sour was sensational and I don't even like cucumber. Returned a second time to try their Untapped winners, The Shadow (Silver winner) I liked more than The Ghost which (Gold winner). Full beer reviews on Untapped @EnlargedHippocampus. Update: So I reserved and thee didnt honor it. Shame, otherwise it can be nice, but being stuck outside when you booked inside is poor Not your usual beer joint in Saigon, this is more in line with what we have in the west and it’s right up there. Excellent and broad range of delicious craft beer, nice food to go along with it (this is where the western side comes in. Think mostly steak, burgers and nachos… not complaining though, don’t get me wrong) and excellent staff. Also, helpful to know, Apple Pay works here. I’m from Europe and no worries, just worked. Which was a welcome surprise. So we will be back, at least one more time on this trip before we go home. Highly recommended.
