Heart of Darkness Craft Brewery

Amazing choice of beers (both draught and bottled/canned). Nice food. Very helpful staff. Nice atmosphere both inside and outside. Music is nice and not very loud. My favorite craft beer place in Saigon. Will come back if I have a chance.

This place is a nice spot if you're looking to unwind with a drink and enjoy a casual meal. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming—perfect for both weeknight dinners and small catch-ups with friends. One of the things that stood out was their daily promotions, which add value and variety to the menu. We visited on a Tuesday, and they were running a 1-for-1 taco special. It was a great deal and gave us the chance to try all four taco flavours. While most were tasty and satisfying, the fish taco had a strange aftertaste that didn’t sit well with us. The other options were much better and definitely worth trying. The pricing here is slightly above average, but with the promos and the quality of service, it feels justifiable. Speaking of service—the staff were fantastic: attentive, friendly, and quick to assist. However, the desserts were a big letdown. We tried the stout chocolate cake and the tiramisu, and unfortunately, both were extremely disappointing. The stout chocolate cake was dry and lacked depth of flavor, while the tiramisu was bland and completely missed the mark. We definitely don’t recommend the desserts—they felt like an afterthought compared to the rest of the menu. Overall, this is a solid spot for drinks and savory food, especially if you come for the promotions. Just skip the desserts, and you'll have a much better experience.

So far the best brewery bar in HCMC! Every beer has its own unique taste,really impressive. Great vibe and amazing choices for beer lovers. I enjoyed every sip!

I was really sad when the Singapore branch shuttered it's doors early 2025, so I had to make a trip here while in the heart of Saigon. I was greeted with incredible hospitality, the best craft beers I've come to love, a fish and chips battered in my favorite beer and 1-for-1 cocktails. What's not to love? 😁

Great craft brewery with a large selection. If you’re missing American food (bbq, burgers, loaded fries) this has a large menu with good variety. We liked the beer so much we came back a second time while visiting Saigon.

Not your usual beer joint in Saigon, this is more in line with what we have in the west and it’s right up there. Excellent and broad range of delicious craft beer, nice food to go along with it (this is where the western side comes in. Think mostly steak, burgers and nachos… not complaining though, don’t get me wrong) and excellent staff. Also, helpful to know, Apple Pay works here. I’m from Europe and no worries, just worked. Which was a welcome surprise. So we will be back, at least one more time on this trip before we go home. Highly recommended.

Nice craft bear bar. Good ambience and good beers with very good price. All staffs are nice and friendly. Highly recommended if you are beer lover and come around.

Huge range of excellent beers and quality food. My favourite of the Vietnamese craft breweries, they always have something new and different to try. Recommend the flights of 4 or 6 to experience a range of what they offer. Kurtz's Insane IPA is a beast of hoppiness.
