Heart of Darkness Craft Brewery

📍 ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ᴏꜰ ᴅᴀʀᴋɴᴇꜱꜱ ᴄʀᴀꜰᴛ ʙʀᴇᴡᴇʀʏ - That first evening for my friends in Saigon felt like it had been waiting for us. I took them fresh off the plane, we raced to their hotel only to freshen up and go straight back out, because I knew Heart of Darkness Craft Brewery would be the kind of place to shake off jet-lag, reconnect, and ease into the trip. We hadn’t seen each other in nearly two years, and with a rough itinerary looming, we needed somewhere that felt relaxed yet special. The brewery itself is a feast for the senses. A robust taproom, moody lighting, industrial-chic design, plus indoor and outdoor seating that balances intimacy with energy. The beer list is wild. Dozens of core and rotating brews that push flavour, aroma hops, experimental styles, seasonal sours and surprisingly delicate pales. It’s no surprise they’ve picked up awards regionally and internationally. Food here doesn’t trail behind. On our table were burgers, salads, wings, oysters and everything was cooked perfectly. The food is infused with enough creativity to avoid feeling generic. People always ask me "but why not Vietnamese food". Vietnam, specifically Saigon has an amazing international and fusion scene that shouldn't be missed out on. Don't limit yourself to local food when travelling, That's the hill I'm willing to die on.

This place is divided into 3 areas: one outdoor area for groups of 4 or more, which features live music and a DJ on Friday nights; a quieter, air-conditioned bar area which is only large enough for groups of 2 or 3 people; and a third, larger, air-conditioned area upstairs, but this one closes at 10 PM. The venue is quite crowded on weekends. I was impressed with the selection of IPA beers here, and they also have fruit beers that aren't bitter which are quite palatable—each beer style has its own unique highlight. It's an enjoyable experience for fresh beer enthusiasts.

Great food! Big portions. We got the tomahawk promotion half price off so it’s quite worth it. Tacos plate is huge with 5 different types for 999k but I don’t enjoy all of them, better order the individual one.

Looking for a dinner with a Vietnamese influence but also wanted try some unique craft beers, with this in mind we found the Heart of Darkness Brewery in Saigon. The food was simply delicious with plenty of options, corrupted to the meat eater. The beer choice was extensive and a great selection of flavours. We had the Directors Chocolate Porter and the Party Coloured Rags Dragon Fruit Rose. Service from staff was excellent and there is both a non smoking and smoking areas. Highly recommended if you are looking for a dinner with more of a Western theme and great beers.

Great beer collection with an indoor and outdoor area that's dressed up almost like a beer garden. Very chill and perfect for lone travellers or a group of friends. We ordered some snacks as well which turn out quite nice.

Amazing choice of beers (both draught and bottled/canned). Nice food. Very helpful staff. Nice atmosphere both inside and outside. Music is nice and not very loud. My favorite craft beer place in Saigon. Will come back if I have a chance.

I was really sad when the Singapore branch shuttered it's doors early 2025, so I had to make a trip here while in the heart of Saigon. I was greeted with incredible hospitality, the best craft beers I've come to love, a fish and chips battered in my favorite beer and 1-for-1 cocktails. What's not to love? 😁

Very taste burger and meat was well prepared. As Czech man beers were good when we started from top 😉 it’s recommended to visit this site place
