Where to Find the Best Vegan Food in Houston | Eater Houston

"Born from the team behind Hungry’s, Heartbeet brings a full menu of plant-based eats to the forefront. Like its sister restaurant, a hefty focus is put on showcasing fresh, quality ingredients in a variety of all-day eats. Along with dishes like a “poke” bowl made with roasted beets and cauliflower “steak”, Heartbeet offers a weekend brunch touting staples like migas, avocado toast, and breakfast burritos — all made with meatless and dairy-free ingredients." - Megha McSwain

Update December 2023: Their delicious banana bread is not only vegan but also gluten-free (almond flour) and refined sugar free (coconut flower sugar). Truly home made and a must try!! Simply the best bowls in Munich. Each bowl is filled with all the nutrients and vitamins you need for a complete meal. It comes with grains, proteins, fat and healthy fiber. You are full for hours and afternoon desert is not necessary. Service is great and you never wait long. Salads and bowls range between 11-15€ and in winter, they also offer hot bowls such as Indian lentil soup (6€) or chicken curry (11-13€). Through To Good To Go you’ll get a bowl for o-almost half price. Great concept! Here I’m Highlighting what’s special about each bowl after I’ve tried it: HABIBI FALAFEL BOWL: my favorite bowl. the FALAFEL is simply delicious. It’s fresh, made from scratch and has a crispy/crunchy taste. VEGAN TRUFFLE TOFU BOWL: Imagine crispy chickpea tofu with creamy truffle sauce, roasted potato skins, black lentils, crunchy chick peas and spinach - simply Devine! If you want to try this special tofu, you will not get disappointed.

Update : I've also recently ordered from them via too good to go, and they are simply the best. I have not had one single bad bowl. They are an incredibly tasty. The dressings are divine. The staff are all super nice and almost always make the bowl according to my preference. Highly, highly recommend. Would love to see them open more branches across Munich! Best salads in Munich! Their falafel salad is the best and the falafel themselves are the best I've tasted. Love their other salads and bowls too! A bit too expensive, but wouldn't mind for the quality and the interesting mix of ingredients. Highly recommend!

Bowl was big, made me full, tasted amazing and price was okay for Munich (9€-18€) The ingredients are fresh and the owner claims to use mostly regional and organic food.

Awful. Went there, informed staff of my allergy to nuts. Ordered a bowl which did not mention nuts anywhere on the menu and again asked staff if this was okay for me to order, given my nut allergy, & they confirmed it was. I took one bite of the food and felt odd so again I checked with the staff, who for a THIRD time absolutely reassured me there were no nuts. I stopped eating after one bite because I could feel the allergic reaction taking over. They didn’t even offer a refund, instead they offered to do me a new bowl which is laughable since 1) they couldn’t even identify what the allergen in the bowl was 2) I was having an allergic reaction! for the next 12 hours I was incapacitated. We then found out it was cashew nut cheese.

Yelp
This place is amazing if you want a huge healthy bowl of good ingredients. The bowls are pretty pricey. Each come to about $15, but they are really big and filling. Most are vegan. They have lots of proteins- tofu made with chickpeas, lentils, vegan chicken... The place is tiny and was super busy at lunchtime. But the staff was friendly and working hard to get everyone's orders out.

Yelp
I have been to heartbeet twice now with my husband and we really like the food here. My husband ordered the Falafel Salad both times and really liked it. I have ordered the Mexican Vegan Salad & the Portobello Taco Bowl and they were both very tasty and would order them again. (But, whenever I go to a restaurant, I try to order something new every time I go.) I'm looking forward to going back and seeing what else I can try
