Staff is very nice. Shop appears clean. Unfortunately I ordered a tray of Shepherds Pie which was not good. We couldn't figure out what seasoning was used. I was so embarrassed. Fortunately I had other food to serve. More than half the tray was put in the bin. Flake "cheese cake" was very disappointing as well.

I have discovered a hidden gem in our neighborhood - Hearty & Healthy is an absolute treasure! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the most welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Hearty and Healthy did an outstanding job catering our breakfast event. The food was delicious, fresh and hot, beautifully presented with everything we needed to serve over 100 people. Elaine is lovely to work with - well organized, friendly and calm. I highly recommend!

This is my go to caterer for my son’s college lacrosse team! Elaine and her team are easy to work with and can provide many delicious options for any budget.

Used this caterer for annual parish dinner dance of over 200 people - everyone was very delighted and happy with the dinner of corned beef/ shepherds pie/ turnips / cabbage/ potatoes. Would highly recommend and will use again!

Elaine was wonderful in helping me selecting the menu for my uncle's party. The food was prepared beautifully, and it was absolutely delicious authentic Irish food. Very reasonably priced for such great tasting food. Every person at my party of 110 people were raving about the great food and service. I am so very grateful to the three lovely ladies that served my guests; Bernadette, Chrissy, and Leona. they were attentive, polite, professional and could not have worked any harder. There was also still plenty of food to take home which left me guests feeling very happy to have another day of delicious food. To everyone at Hearty and Healthy, thank you all so much from the food preparation, exceptional service, and all of the take home containers you prepared. I cannot thank you all enough!

Cute spot to pick up some take away lunch or dinner for home or to take to work, or to pick up a few groceries and/or (of course in this neighborhood) some Irish specialties. I grabbed a tin of Shepard's pie for $7 (they had a hot option, but I wanted it for work the next day). It was quite tasty and a very good size for the price. In addition to the prepackaged reheatables and salads, they also have a hot food bar where you can get a fresh plate--small around $9, large around $12. It was post-Thanksgiving and they had roast turkey and sides--pretty decent as well--again, good portion for the price--I might have been a little turkeyed out at that point, though. They also have a sampling of sweets and pastries and a coffee/tea bar up front. A couple of stools if you want to eat in, but really seems best suited for grabbing something hearty and, well--not unhealthy, at any rate--for lunch or dinner when you don't have time to cook.

Great food but the thin lady with short blonde hair NEVER WEARS 2 gloves .She uses one glove touches the bread if making sandwiches and the fillings etc.Then takes the cash with the hand with out glove and goes back to serving touching food with that hand.I don't know if they are short of gloves or too cheap too wear both but it's NASTY.Espically during COVID19.Also 3 of my friends who regularly go there also noticed it. WEAR BOTH GLOVES

Delicious, fresh sandwiches and salads with friendly service. We are very pleased with the service we received for a small charitable fundraiser last Sunday and I would definitely order from Hearty and Healthy again!

As I've gone here frequently since they've opened I'm really sad to rate is so low. when i went yesterday, there was an older man customer waiting inside with no mask. another man came in and asked him to put on a mask as we are in the middle of a pandemic right outside NYC. the older man got very angry and started cursing, but my problem lays with the staff. they did not enforce any mask laws and let him wait in the place and order with no mask. again, i went today. both the women that were working had their masks under their chins speaking to customers and restocking. it makes me so uncomfortable and angry that they just do not care about laws and keeping this very tight knit community safe.

Amazing place with excellent homemade and fresh grab and go food. Everyday this place offers new items to choose from. Very convenient place in the area when you do not have time to cook or are in a rush to make dinner. Highly recommend this place!

Great meals to go along with fantastic service! Have used them for catering and received rave reviews from guests on how good the food was. Store has nice selection of Irish sweets and delicious dessert options (too many to pick just one!).
