The walnut-chocolate chip cookies are so good! And the monkey bread is a great little breakfast treat too! I got a mini-peach cobbler today that was amazingly delicious too. Just all around great place. Make sure you come during open hours, 11am–5pm Tuesday through Saturday, she's always there during that time and it's well worth the trip.

Google
I called to see if they had any small sweet potato pies, and was told they had 3 left and I had to pick them up by 4:00. I sped there and arrived at 3:55! The rushing was definitely worth it! That was was best sweet potato pie I've ever had!!

This bakery has been there for many many moons, and to now see the place empty broke a many people’s hearts for sure I am praying that the lady who makes all these beautiful delicious cakes and cookies and desserts will please find a way to get her contact info out so that we the people can get some treats made for the upcoming holiday season some of us have relied upon this bakery for all of desserts for our thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations what will we do without Heavenly Creations this year I hope someone reading this will let her know she’s very much missed and please help us to find you for those sweet delicious treats

Google
I love cakes . It smells divine inside. I've had better pastries elsewhere...but their yellow cake with the banana filling and chocolate frosting is to die for. I've only ordered sheet cakes here so they're not too fancy....if you want fancy, go with Sweet Lady Jane. But if you just want a big tasty sheet cake for a birthday part for kids or a ton of people, go to cake bakery for a reasonably priced but extra delicious cake. The chocolate cake is also very good!

Google

I give her a thumbs up. I can’t wait until she open tues so i can get another one ! & when thanksgiving get here I can order about 5 of them lol

The owner is such a pleasant person. Her bakery items are fresh, baked to perfection. The monkey bread, pecan pie & oatmeal cookies are my favorite.

Google
WHAT A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PERSON. I spoke to a woman who I assume is the owner a week ago, and told her I was looking for a baker to make a cake for my daughter's sweet 16. She asked me to email her photos of some ideas - which I did. I explained that these were rough ideas of 2-tier cakes... but that I was flexible. I didn't need the cake until February 10th which was many weeks away, giving us time to find a mutually agreeable design. I just called her back as I didn't receive any response to my email. She said, "I can't do that. That's expensive. I can't do that for the price I quoted you." I said, "No problem. We can do a 1 tier cake. What can you do?" She said, "Sorry, I can't do that for the price I quoted you." I said, "I'm willing to pay more. Your bakery is close to the house we are renting for the party, and I can swing by and pick up the cake." I said, "I'll take WHATEVER you can do... 1 layer... whatever. I'll PAY MORE. Whatever you can do will be OK." Basically, she said, "Have a nice day, happy new year." AND HUNG UP ON ME. WTH ??? Who does business like this in 2018?? I would STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO AVOID THIS BUSINESS.

Louise D.

Yelp
I've used this bakery for years and they have been amazing. I love Miss Mosel's cakes and cookies, but recently I haven't been able to reach. Her number is not a working number so I have no idea if she still in business. ‍

Yelp
This place is located on Vernon Avenue. Small spot, but great pastries.. you can taste every ingredient like butter, sugar, and vanilla. The owner is there to take your order behind a plexi glass. The ambience is clean no-frills. My favorites are her cookies and pies.. she does custom orders and on the holidays she bakes monkey bread. I did a custom order for Valentine's Day and she created a box of delicious pastries. The price is a reasonable parking in the street.

Sharon A.

Yelp
But right now they are temporarily closed. Best chocolate cake & monkey bread. They are my go to for Thanksgiving & Christmas.

Monet W.

Yelp
Hit or miss on everything, but monkey bread. Sometimes good customer service. Sometimes, not!

Rena H.

Yelp
Ms Mozella is the most sweetest, gentle soul every time you see her. Her baked goods are as the name says, heavenly! For me, she's puts love, her precious patience and time in every bite! I honestly can't get enough of her 7-up Pound Cake, listen, I don't need the glaze, just give me the CAKE! I adore her Pecan and Sweet Potato Pie. I go ape for her Peanut Butter Cookies. These are MY absolute favorites! Yes, she has other scrumptious goodie's, I'm speaking truth to power!
google avatar

Yelp
Heavenly Creations is just that!! The pies, the cookies, and the monkey bread are to die for, sending you straight to heaven... but don't! You're going to want to live to come back again and again. I consider myself super lucky because I'm in walking distance and can get there quickly to satisfy my sweet tooth or get the bread to go with soup or dinner. Yummy!!! And all of it is ALWAYS served with a warm greeting and a smile

Yelp
This review is based upon two different orders placed with this business. The first included a tea cake and money bread. My mother enjoyed the monkey bread, but the tea cake resembled a patty of cooked grits flavored with nutmeg and vanilla. It was crumbly and inedible- definitely not a tea cake that I have ever eaten. (Wish I had taken a picture)  The second interaction was concluded today November 23. My mother placed an order for monkey bread and a pound cake for Thanksgiving 2020. The owner (baker?) told my mother that she would confirm the order via phone call between November 18-November 22. No confirmation call was received. Business hours are not Monday but we still wanted to try and confirm on our end. No answer 3 times before an older woman (owner/baker?) answered.  Let me be clear - she was incredibly rude the minute she answered the phone. She said she had too many orders and nastily asked for the name on the order. She then proceeded to acknowledge she didn't call to confirm because she had too many orders. She also said that when she didn't call, as she herself promised to, that we should've called her on Saturday. She asked could we pay today and my mother said she could and started to ask another question when the woman just hung up on us. Unprofessional. Rude. I have never had such an interaction with a business before. Will NEVER patronize again.

Yelp
Walked by and got the yellow with chocolate icing cupcakes around 2pm. The yellow cake was very yellow, maybe food coloring? No need for that, also dried out the cake and the icing was more of a dark chocolate versus milk. Sweet woman behind the window... felt impersonal talking through a window for cupcakes and treats, not able to see the desserts were also weird, like a jail bakery lol, don't trust the community? I'd move....

Yelp
I was having a large event with over 50 people and was told about this bakery. I purchased a pan of Monkey bread a couple of weeks prior to ensure it was okay to serve for my upcoming event. The bread was great. I ate it right out of the pan. I then pre ordered and purchase 6 pans of bread and was scheduled to have them picked up on Saturday. The owner of the bakery indicated it was her birthday and she wanted to leave early so she requested the bread be picked up as soon as possible so she could celebrate her birthday. Well, with over 50 ppl at my event we started to open the bread and place it in the bread tray only to discover is was completely RAW and could not be eaten. We had to run to the nearest store so we could serve bread at this event. I attempted to contact the owners, but it appeared she would not be returning to her shop for another 4 days. Additionally, she does not have a voicemail in order to leave a message. Nevertheless, after contacting her and returning the bread, so she herself could see it was RAW, she proceeds to tell me did I warm the bread in the oven. I told her you didn't mention warming bread and what would that do for RAW dough. She basically said all sales are final. She did not allow me to voice my concerns. She said the bread had not been open and she couldn't resale it. I'm like why would you? It's raw. Basically told me to have a good day and hung up on me. Is $36 going to break me? Absolutely not. My expectation were to purchase a cooked product. I didn't buy it in the freezer section of a supermarket. Therefore, I would expect it would be thoroughly cooked. Buyers beware. ALL SALES ARE FINAL REGARDLESS IF THE PRODUCT IS RAW AND MIGHT CAUSE SALMONELLA Owner, you're concerned about being shut down by the health department? If you continue selling unbaked goods This might become a reality. My only request was for you to assume responsibility for your product and you did not.

Yelp
So inexpensive and SO GOOD. I've never ordered anything in advance, but the baker always has an assortment of cookies and mini-pies for me to buy on the spot. I love the walnut chocolate chip cookies and peach cobbler, and the baker is so sweet and pleasant to talk to. She remembers me every time I come by and it's just so nice to have a friendly face to go with your baked goods

Lindsay S.

Yelp
If I could give a half a star I would! To the Owner: Have you ever heard or professionalism and decorum! I have purchased from this bakery before just as a walk by. Calling into any establishment to inquire about an order should not result in harsh tones nor the phone being hung up on a customer. If you feel you can't give quality (who am I kidding!) DECENT customer service you need not operate a business or have staff to handle calls. I am sure my review won't stop your business but maybe you will think before you act so ugly to future patrons.

Yelp
Do's and Dont's at Heavenly Cakes Creations Don't expect the specific full cake or pie you want unless you call in advance (though I lucked out and they had the sweet potato pie my friend was craving). DO call in advance if you want a cake or pie. If, however, you don't they have a rack of delightful treats to choose from. Be flexible and let your sense of sight and smell help you choose something wonderful. Don't expect to go inside a fancy bakery. This bakery isn't fancy, and you cant go inside. It took me a minute to realize that I wasn't to open the locked door, that instead orders are placed through the walk-up window. DO expect to buy fresh, delicious baked goods, at how-in-the-world-are-they-doing-this low prices, from delightful people. I had a piece of pound cake smothered on caramel and it was delish - like scrape-the-container-with-your-fingers yummy. I also tried chocolate chip cookie, and was less impressed with that. I found it dry, and way too light on the chocolate chips. I thought the grocery store kind of cookies tasted better, but my friend thought they were great and went back for more before we left.

Yelp
Ordered a birthday cake for my daughters first bday. It was lemon and chocolate and the combo was a surprising hit with my guests, although I thought it was just okay--which is why I give the place 4 instead of 5 stars. Also got red velvet and chocolate cupcakes--every one of which were devoured before I could sample! The woman who owned the place also was super accommodating and did it with only 3 days notice, and didn't even ask for a deposit. Overall a great experience and I will definitely go back!

Yelp
This place is really cute. You can't walk in and shop for anything. Basically behind a security door and security glass, the owner has a display case of all the baked goods that she has available and you basically pick it out from there. But the stuff she makes is really good. The monkey bread is excellent, and the cupcakes are very good as well.
google avatar

Karb A.

Yelp
D. E. L. I. C. I. O. U. S. - best pies here, I URGE you all to give this place a go because your stomach will be so so happy.
google avatar

Edward G.

Yelp
The real deal, genuine taste from real ingredients made with love. Haven't had pecan pie this good in decades. Apple cobbler equally divine.
google avatar

Ebony B.

Yelp
I've only tried the monkey bread which is delicious by the way. It pulls apart and is sooo buttery. My knock on this place is that when I go to buy it a couple of days before I need it, they won't sell it to me. I've missed the cut off or they are shut down for a week. There is no reason why if people want to buy your product, you should tell them, "No". That's the problem with small mom and pop businesses. They are good, but they don't know how to take it to the next level and expand. They do no marketing, FB, or advertising. They turn away money because they don't know how to handle the success. They need to come from behind the bar doors!
google avatar

Lilian R.

Yelp
Beyond your expectations. Was introduced to this place by my homeboy. He goes there all the time. I first tried the apple pie and it was soooo good, it didn't make it home. I am stuck on the pecan pies its the best I've ever tasted. I go there regularly now, because the standard is high, never been disappointed.
google avatar

Lilian Raven C.

Yelp
My home boy introduced me to this Bakery I tried the apple pie and have not looked back since the cakes the pies are all super duper delicious freshly baked daily quality ingredients great service you'll get hooked remember I told you LOL
google avatar

Yelp
Love this lil hole in the wall I always go grab my sweets there , her banana pudding is plus A1 burger is across the street 2 of the best in one stop
google avatar

Shelley H.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Tasty treats from the sweetest baker! It's a shame I don't know her name, but it's never stopped her from being generous when I didn't have enough to cover my purchase. I make sure to give it back, but it's rare to find biz owners who treat customers like family. Go get your sweet potato, apple or peach pies. Monkey bread too!! EVERYTHING is delish! Order ahead of time for the holidays or you'll be outta luck.
google avatar

Lorenzo W.

Yelp
My go to spot for cakes, pies, rolls etc. It's in the hood so you know it's good! It is a hole in the wall but the desserts are made with LOVE! Parking on the street in front.
google avatar

Ronnetta R.

Yelp
DELICIOUS sweet potato pie! Seriously, one of the yummiest I've had! Great, affordable prices and parking is easy enough. I love that this is within walking distance from my house because I know this will become a frequent guilty pleasure!
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
Hands down this is and will be my "go to" spot for cupcakes and cookies And they are cost effective. service was excellent and most importantly they are black owned!!

Yelp
The boyfriend and I brought home some goodies from this bakery a few days ago. The grab bag included: Carrot cake Red velvet cake Apple pie Monkey Bread And a mixed bag it was. The Monkey Bread was like none I've ever seen before. Let's call it low-frills. No cinnamon, no pecans, no gooey goodness. Basically sweet buns with no icing. But not really Monkey Bread. The apple pie tasted "off". It had an odd sour after taste. Not too good. Now the better half: the carrot cake was great. Moist, icing not too cloying-- which is difficult to find. And the red velvet cake was the pick of the lot. Also moist, a beautiful shade of red, sweet but balanced flavor. Can stand up to any taste test against the better known bakeries in town, IMO. Overall, inconsistent, but the good stuff is really good. Keep in mind, it's a store front, and I do mean front. You order through a window out in the street. Utilitarian, but efficient. Bon apetit.

Irma B.

Yelp
Sweat potato pie was hot wHen picked up. Hard to keep hands off. So we ate the first pIe. Monkey bread is perfect each aNd every time. This place is special. ThiS completely makes me know it's time for Thanksgiving
google avatar

Rochelle J.

Yelp
Today was my first time purchasing from this bakery and let me tell you, it won't be my last! I love this place and the kind lady that helped me was the sweetest! She even asked me if I wanted help taking my items to my car? Can't wait to order more goodies!

Abbey A.

Yelp
What business that calls itself "Heavenly Cakes Creations" won't make a simple birthday cake? The website shows many cakes of various levels of difficulty. When we called, the owner asked for photos, which we sent. She didn't follow up or respond to the email. So, we called back today, only to be hung up on for no reason. We were willing to pay just about any amount for any type of cake she'd be willing to make... we just wanted something for our daughter's Sweet 16. It is a BAKERY after all, is it not? The woman was rude, abrupt and hung up the phone for no reason. Unreal. AVOID if you want any decent service.
google avatar

Moni B.

Yelp
I love the red velvet cupcakes, they are so delish! Always fresh and moist. I also like the mini pies (peach and pecan). The price is always on point for the quality you get (Sprinkles who???). The only downside is the hours of operation (Wed-Sat only) and it's cash only, which is understandable because it's a small family business. A lot of people come while they're waiting for their orders from A-1 Burger across the street. Come and check them out.
google avatar

Yani G.

Yelp
I go for the (shhh) monkey bread. Every year. Like clock work. Thanksgiving and Christmas. I purchase about 10 loaves early & pick them up right before the big day. That bread is always a hit! Ridiculously good and reasonably priced! ($6 or $8...can't remember) I am a huge fan!
google avatar

Ricardo A.

Yelp
What a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE person. I spoke to a woman who I assume is the owner over a week ago about creating a sweet 16 cake for my daughter's birthday on February 10th (ample time... over 4 weeks away). She asked me to send her some pictures of what I was looking for. So, I did. I sent some examples of some 2-tier cakes (she has several on her WEBSITE, so I didn't think this was a big deal). I heard nothing. I called her today, just moments ago, to ask if she'd received my email. She said she had (though she never bothered to respond to it), and that she "couldn't do that." Those have fondant, and she couldn't do that... Hmmm. Her photos show cakes with fondant. She kept saying "I just can't do that." So, I said, that's OK. Let's do a 1-tier cake. What CAN you do? She said, "Sorry, I can't do that for the price I quoted you." I said, "Don't worry about the price, I'll pay MORE... I just need a cake for my daughter's sweet 16. We're renting a house near where your bakery is, so it's perfect that I can swing by and pick it up." She said, "Sorry, have a nice day and happy new year." WTH??? SERIOUSLY?? Who does business like that in 2018??? This is ridiculous. It's a BAKERY. I don't know about all these glowing reviews ...

Yelp
My visit with Heavenly cakes was very enjoyable. I enjoyed the monkey bread, which i must say had such a satisfying homemade goodness. I've had homemade monkey bread and the only difference was the amount of butter used. Some people prefer it lightly buttered where others like theirs soaked by dipping each clove in butter as its put in the pan. This one is lightly buttered but none the less delicious. I love cake so i bought the slice of yellow with chocolate icing. This made me smile because it was so moist and good. The last taste i tried was the teacake cookie but I'm sorry to say it was not like teacakes I've loved all my life. There seemed to be absence of the flavors I'm use to being in a tea cake like cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and or a touch of lemon. But the texture of the cookie was on point. I know....some people learned making teacakes with the bare necessities but my taste requires more flavor. All and all I shall visit this bakery again to enjoy more of its tasty treats.
google avatar

Yelp
The most amazing treats.... beyond heavenly! Pecan pie & red velvet cupcakes that are life changing. Mind blown with every tasty bite.
google avatar

Suneeta V.

Yelp
Simply delicious!!! The red velvet cake actually taste better the sprinkles. Can't wait to go back and try something else.
google avatar

Vernell D.

Yelp
They has the best sweet potato pies ever, 100% delicious, the best monkey bread so buttery and soft very reasonable prices, good service I love that place.

Shaon S.

Yelp
This place is a secret treat! I'm so surprise there were no reviews. I'm delighted to be the first. My colleague decided to bring in the sweet potato pie!!!! All I can say was mm mm good!! I couldn't stop eating this pie. I went back for thirds and could have eaten the entire pie myself with some ice cream and whip cream on top. I'm definitely making a trip. I hear the peach cobbler is to die for and you have to put your order in advance for the holiday season. Thumbs up to Heavenly Cake Creations!!!

Eddie P.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem, they have the best sweet potato pie ever!! The english tea cookies are also really good.

Ani G.

Yelp
I am only giving four stars as my first rating until I try other products. But I must say the Monkey bread I bought for the first time was outstanding and really deserves 5 stars. It was lite, airy, moist, buttery and delicious. The best I've taste in Los Angeles for a long time.

Yelp
Ummmm yes! Love Love Love this place. I especially like how all the deserts are in individual portions and ready to go. Okay so where do I start? Peach Pie, okay I'm not a big pie person because I usually don't care for the crust. This bakery has changed my outlook on pie crust and I now know a good crust when I taste it. I've also had the apple pie which is equally just as good, Okay now let's talk about the Pineapple-Coconut Cake. This cake has great flavor and is super super moist. I like that there is just enough frosting to cover the cake but not too much. I'm sure the other slices of cakes are good too but i can't get past that slice of Pineapple-Coconut Cake. The cookies are always good and I like the variety of flavors they offer. But my all time favorite from this bakery are the Teacakes. There are usually about 3-4 flavors of Teacakes, lemon, carrot-walnut, plain, etc. My favorite is the carrot-walnut. They're so good and so moist. My mouth is watering up just thinking of the Teacakes. Needless to say, if you're ever in the neighborhood, do not pass this place up. Stop and try some of their goods, the location is convenient and it will be well worth it for you. You'll wanna thank me later.

Denise H.

Yelp
I love this place ! There are nice people and I love the service the caramel cake is my favorite and the cookies are the best . It's a must try place

Misty J.

Yelp
Heavenly Cakes Creations is where I purchase ALL my bakery goods for ALL the holidays. The food is just excellent. It's fresh and no other bakery beats it. the monkey bread and peach cobbler are my family's favorite.
