Great Family run business. They bring the great home cooked flavor of the south side to Wheeling. Husband and wife were very friendly and Mom was very welcoming while Father cooked. Food was very delicious. We had the St Louis spare ribs, rib tips and shrimp which were very good. Bbq sauce was just right and the coleslaw was also great. The desserts looked amazing but was too full will definitely be back to try the baby backs.

Google
Heaven really describes this place... from the service to the amazing food 😍. We really loved the chicken wings, brisket, rib tips, the ribs, Mac n cheese, collard greens, hot links, jalapeño corn bread and caramel cake😋!! We love, love this place!!!

Google
Well, I'm a HUGE barbecue fan and was really excited to try this place. It was ok. Sweet potato fries were too thin. Chicken was just ok. Brisket was tender. Pulled pork and cole slaw were the best of the bunch.

Google
Great addition to the neighborhood and you can tell that they really love their food. Tender brisket and full size chicken wings . Thank you we will definitely be back to work our way up and down the menu.

This review is on the customer service and all around good energy inside of this restaurant! Mrs. J was the sweetest to my fiancé and I. She took time to talk to us about a few business endeavors we have and did not hesitate to drop her priceless knowledge. Her son was very nice, the energy was great, it was very clean and the service was prompt. My favorite on any given day is desert and baby they did not disappoint at all! We will be going back to try every flavor of cheese cake and cake they have to offer! We had the honor of trying their homemade turtle cheesecake (the slice was so big!) & butter cookies and I’m so in love. I’m picky about anything I eat, but I have no complaints. We don’t eat meat so I can’t give a review on the actual bbq itself. Now, they have two types of bbq sauce and the hickory one was our favorite! Definitely come check this place out.

Google
Great family owned BBQ! New and spacious location. Always pleased with the food. On my 5 visits so far I've tried the ribs, brisket, BBQ pork & chicken, and rib tips. Great side dishes, too.

Google
I came here with my husband and we ordered 1/2 slab of St Louis ribs, rib tips, mac and cheese, jalapeño cornbread, greens, coleslaw, butter cookies, and the Carmel cake. First off, the ribs are juicy and tender, my fork went right through them, then the Mac and cheese was so good and cheesy, the greens had a smokey taste with a mouth full of flavor, the corn bread was hot and moist and the desserts are yummy. The customer service is top rated. They take the time to talk to you, laugh with you and are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place! Nice, clean, and cozy and they play jazz music 🎶

Google
This place is fire! The picture was less than 60 dollars of food including 2 drinks. We loved the food was not overseasroned and salty and sauce they provide on the table was great. I hope they get alcohol there someday cause I'll be there more often!

Yelp
The first time I went here, I thought it was above average. I decided to return almost a year because I had a craving for bbq, and I was truly impressed. First of all, the restaurant is super clean with hand sanitizer everywhere. Truly, I appreciate the attentiveness to detail. Even the sauce bottles are maintained and are not sticky. It's clear the owners take pride in their restaurant. I ordered rib tips, fried wings, fries, and Mac and cheese. I thought the sauces were balanced and flavorful. Everything was cooked perfectly, and freshly prepared. The fries could use a little salt. I finished with a turtle cheesecake. Also delicious. I thought the prices were reasonable, if not very good. I would definitely recommend stopping by!

Yelp
This is a solid choice for BBQ in this area. I have a go-to BBQ spot so I rarely try anything new but I've been eyeballing this place for a while. Great service and the place is nice and clean. Another plus is the ability to order several different amounts of the meats of your choice. Being able to get a 1/3 pound or a 1/3 slab let's you try more items or save some money! The hot link was a tasty bite, I'm always partial to those. The brisket was good but I like a bit more bite to the outer ring personally. Mac and cheese was decent but not as rich as I'm used to from other places. The cornbread was just the right doneness. Sweet potato fries were the surprise star of my meal! Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend them. They offer 2 sauces here, a traditional and a sweet and spicy. I like spicy typically but I found the traditional more well rounded and a better pair for the meats. Overall a good experience that doesn't destroy your wallet!

Yelp
Everyone who works here is so warm and personable. They make you feel like family. Tons of seating, which makes it great for big groups. Great for kids--they have high chairs and there's a changing table in the women's bathroom. What we got: Sweet potato fries - These were so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Not too salty either ... sometimes places try to make up for the fact that it's not regular fries. Collard greens - Cooked so well--super tender and a little pickled. We enjoyed these. Rib tips - Wow! I'm not usually a rib tip person but the flavor on these were incredible! Such a nice smoky flavor and tender texture! Would come back solely for this. Tbh we had actually already eaten but decided to order some food anyway, and I'm so glad we did because we would've missed out. Can't wait to try more on their menu!

Yelp
When we walked in there were 6 tables full of people. We grabbed a paper menu off the table by the door and I wanted to try something new and ordered the 1/2 chicken (without sauce) and my husband ordered the brisket sandwich. We split a medium coleslaw which was delicious and on both the sweet / vinegar side. We both had a corn bread too. I am not a fan of chicken breast because it is always dry, so I gave it to my husband. He said us was dry but also tasted good and he used the Hickory BBQ sauce so he was happy! We love stopping in here for dinner when we are in the area.

Yelp
If you love barbecue, this is the place!! The place is clean, light and large enough for a large group. The staff are friendly and always willing to guide you in what choices they have. The meats come out smoked, but without sauce. The sauce is on the tables and both of them make the meats incredible. Nothing here is "average", all of the meat choices are top-notch. The coleslaw is creamy and delicious. Buffalo Grove has needed a fresh place to eat and they deliver! Definitely worth driving out of your way to try!!

Yelp
Delicious food and a courteous crew. My good friend brought me lunch from Heaven's while I was recovering from surgery, and I've been hooked ever since. I catered from Heaven's for my husband's birthday, and everyone loved it. Pork, chicken, chocolate cake...it was all so good, with plenty leftover for people to take home. The team at Heaven's was so helpful in selecting what to order, which I appreciated. Recently I ordered a few pounds of pulled chicken, to eat for lunch during the week and a chicken pot pie. Delish!

Yelp
Lived in Memphis for many years and I can tell you this barbecue was real it was delicious. We had baby back ribs, coleslaw, and sweet potato fries. It was finger licking good. Chose this restaurant from other yelp reviews. I would highly recommend. Family owned. Watched the young children cleaning off tables. Dad on the register and mom serving it up. A must if you are in the area.

Yelp
Accidentally ended up here and it was a pleasant surprise. Heaven's Barbecue On Earth was a wonderful stop for dinner. When you walk in they have paper menus on the counter and a sign that says to order your food before you sit down. We spent some time looking over the menu and then went to order. We ordered brisket, brisket sandwiches, fries, cornbread, jalapeño cheese cornbread, chicken wings, turkey leg, collard greens, and dessert. They were out of their Mac and cheese and bbq chicken, so we will have to return to try those items. The staff was friendly and answered our questions about the menu and we found out that it's a family owned business. The intentior design is simple and the place is kept Clean. Once we ordered our food, we sat down at a table, and the staff was kind enough to push together two tables for my family. Our food came out in a reasonable time for the amount of food we ordered. They did not miss with their flavors at all. Every time I bit into something my taste buds were doing a happy dance. I appreciate the fact that when you order brisket they ask if you would like more lean or fat cuts. The brisket is one of the best that I've had in a long time. It was tender and full of flavor. They are generous with their portion sizes so you truly get what you are paying for. The jalapeño cheese cornbread had a unique flavor but I truly enjoyed it. After all of that I had to get their dessert. Homemade cheesecake? Yes please! This was an a great place to stumble upon.

Yelp
This is exactly what a hidden gem looks like to me. It's not obvious that this spot exists, with a sign obscured by trees and a storefront perpendicular to Dundee Rd. But unlike many spots considered a hidden gem, the interior of this restaurant is very attractively decorated, the seating is comfortable, service is friendly, and the interior is clean. With reasonable prices and good portion sizes, it's only a matter of time before everyone discovers the delicious food here. One of the signs of a BBQ restaurant having faith in the quality, texture, and flavor of their meat is the confidence to serve you the food, without drenching it in sauce -- and they only have 1 sauce available. And they really deliver on this, with a good smoky flavor that is evident in every bite. I tried all the best sellers on my visit here, like the pulled pork which is definitely a step above what I've had at other places. The super tender and flavorful brisket which really absorbed the smoke in the fatty portions. The St. Louis Ribs had a nice thick portion of meat on it, which was completely falling off the bone and once again did a great job of having a nice smoky flavor. These all paired well with the BBQ sauce which had about the right level of sweetness and tanginess to it. The sides were quite solid as well. The sweet potato fries were crispy and the flavor of sweet potato was quite evident. The mac and cheese had a nice cheesiness to it, though the pasta was a tad soft for me, but I still enjoyed it. The cornbread was nice and fresh with a good freshly baked texture and flavor that matched well with all the other food. Overall, the food here is well priced and delicious and the dining room is quite enjoyable to spend time in. I'll be certain to return soon with family, friends, and coworkers.

Yelp
I wasn't planning on stopping by here today but I am glad that I did. The BBQ was quite good. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and went with the sweet and spicy sauce. I didn't find the sauce spicy at all but it had a very nice sweet flavor. They have both sauces available at the tables so I tried the hickory sauce too which was also good. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. I ordered mac and cheese & baked bean as sides which were both very tasty. The restaurant had plenty of indoor seating and there was also plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and brought out the food quickly. There were some very yummy looking desserts available for purchase but I was way too full.

Lisa K.

Yelp
Loved everything here but especially the Chicago south side tips! Very juicy and tender! We also tried the baby back ribs and the St. Louis ribs and both were equally delicious. We requested the sauce on the side (you get a choice of hickory or sweet and spicy) so each person can enjoy however they like it. I just tried the ribs again at home just re-broiled in the toaster oven and let me tell you-- it was still good! Also had to try the sides - we got the Mac n cheese (it was ok), the sweet potato fries (it was perfection), and the two different types of corn bread (one is regular and the other had cheese and jalapeño). Favorite was the sweet potato fries - seasoned well and crispy but had good bite. Will be back to try the cheesecakes - made by the owner's daughter in law. Everything made from scratch! FYI for folks - they don't provide free water; you must purchase bottled water. Not a problem but just in case there's anyone who doesn't like cold water, bring your own water bottle. Can't wait to come back and order a bucket of tips and cheesecake!

Yelp
This is my new favorite barbecue place! All the food we ordered was amazing. Sweet potato fries are generously portioned. Corn muffins are perfect--don't skip the corn muffins, you'll want to try these! Super friendly staff, too. You order at the counter and then sit down to wait. I think it was the owner (or one of the owners) who took my order. I ordered the brisket, and she asked me if I wanted it more or less fatty. I love that she asked! More fatty please!!! That's what makes it delicious! And it really was amazing. We went mid-afternoon, so I'd imagine it would get busier later in the day, but even so there was a steady stream of customers, some eating in and some picking up to-go orders. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fresh, clean, and roomy. There's plenty of seating (and also plenty of parking, always a nice bonus). Before we left we went back to the counter to order dessert, and I'm so glad we did. Had to take it to go because I was so full, but the turtle cheesecake was excellent.

Yelp
Hooray, we now have Chicago south side BBQ in the north suburbs, and Heaven's BBQ on Earth is a very welcome addition. We picked up a carryout of 1 lb of their rib tips ($12.99) and a 1/2 lb of their brisket (also $12.99). I asked for the brisket as in-between lean and moist (fatty), and they give you the 3 choices of fattiness which is nice. The brisket was tip-top tender and delicious and the in-between was the right amount of fat for me. The rib tips were tender and still meaty enough and hit the spot also and we don't often have the opportunity to order rib tips. I had the sauce provided on the side (and it is needed for a bit of flavor kick, thus the 4 versus 5 stars) and I liked the more mild and smoky hickory a bit more than the tangier sweet/spicy. This is a real Chicago south side mom and pop operation. In this case, I met the friendly mom Oneko and the friendly son Chris who was behind the counter and took the order. They hail from the Woodlawn neighborhood on the south side. I've traveled down there in the past just to pick up Mississippi soul food BBQ (Lem's and Uncle John's) and the next time I come here, I'll try the ribs and the hot links to get a direct comparison on those items. They have a big and comfortable dine-in space here also. The menu is all à la carte. If I had one suggestion, it would be to consider offering up a combo meats item, or a meal offering (meats and 2 sides or whatever). But then again, maybe they are already doing that in essence by offering 1/4 lb offerings as well as 1/3 slabs, so think about it. Anyway, great BBQ here, welcome to the North Suburbs, and good luck! By the way, they are located in the same strip mall as HD Cuisine and Kopa Tea Bar, and this small strip mall is becoming a top notch and diverse foodie stop. Look

Yelp
Great food. Pleasant service. Calm and reaching atmosphere. Just a stumble on this place because I had planned on having dinner at Sweet & savory Bites but because of space limitations I decided to check out what was in the area. It was a great find. Will plan on revising in the near future. Portion size was great for the cost. I enjoyed the fried chicken, greens and cornbread. Great dinner suggestion. Must have.

Yelp
We visited early afternoon (before food runs out) with the intention of trying a little extra. Clean, modern farmhouse feel with the blue and wood motif. We ordered the st louis style ribs, chicken wings, rib tips, and the brisket. The order-taker gave us the option of lean or fatty brisket - and we provided the right answer: fatty. That was just a test. We passed the test. You order at the counter and we took a seat. The food did take a little while to come out, but I suspect it was the chicken wings taking the extra time. The bbq is meaty and juicy! Not a lot of bark/char on anything, so if you aren't a fan of the burnt, then this'll definitely work for you. Two bbq sauces - sweet 'n spicy and hickory. Both great, but I lean toward the sweet 'n spicy. We also got the sweet potato fries (thin and crispy, maximizing sweet surface area), collard greens (I admit I don't know anything about collard greens, but it had full, unsmashed leaves and lots of flavor), and the cornbread (a little pricey, but dense and fluffy, and it has niblets in it). I literally wrote more about the sides! Looking forward to visiting again and running down some more ribs. Also... I heard a lot of people ordering salad. Like, I was eavesdropping and people kept ordering salad. What's the deal? Is there something secret about that???

Nette B.

Yelp
After 6 months, i still love the food. I order my sauce on the side so i could taste the yumminess of the meat. I love the jalapeno corn breads so yummy. The customer service is superb. Everyone is nice and the place is clean.

Isabelle L.

Yelp
Stopped in only once so far but will definitely come back. The staff was really friendly, welcoming and patient. No waiter service, this is a low key place where you place your order, go sit down and someone brings your food out to your table. I enjoyed the brisket and surprisingly the highlight of my meal was the collard greens, best collard greens I ever had period. Will need to come back and try more items for sure.

Christina L.

Yelp
Recently tried Heaven's bbq because I was in the area, and I have to say that this was a definitely a hidden gem, I wish more people knew about it. We ordered a little bit of everything and ate family style. We tried the fried chicken, fries, a dozen of the corn bread rolls, lean brisket, collard greens, and oreo cheese cake. . Everything was tasted phenomenal. They give you a choice if you like your brisket moist or lean. The only thing I would say, is try to get there early, as they may sell out of some items. We got there at 7pm. We wanted to try the bbq chicken and Mac and cheese, but it was all sold out. The food slapped, so I'm not surprised. There was plenty of seating and scriptures throughout the restaurant (love the theme). The service was awesome, our server reviewed some of the more popular items, and he was great at suggesting things to try. Definitely had a great experience and will have to come back.

Kesha B.

Yelp
This location JUST opened! While we came in they had already run out of most of the items, the staff was extremely kind and gave us the low down on what they did have before we got excited about what's in the menu. They are still working out the kinks, but the community is clearly super excited for their opening as it was long time awaited. When you walk in, you're welcomed with a pretty blue colored restaurant with various artwork of their foods. They also have a separate carry out section for those who order ahead of time. You just walk up to the counter to order for dine in, once you order, you have a seat and your food gets brought to you. For this go around, We ended up trying the hot sausage link, Chicago Rib tips and their fries. The sausage link was a tad spicy for me, but my husband said it was super flavorful. We shared the rib tips which gets sold in 1/3, 1/5, & 1 pound. The meats come with containers of bbq sauces. The rib tips were absolutely delicious and super flavorful even without bbq sauce. Their fries were nice and crispy, and super hot. Note things do sell out during the day, so if you're looking for something specific definitely call ahead to make sure you don't waste a trip! We can't wait to come back and try more items. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays so maybe Tuesday? :)

Yelp
Updating my previous review. Service issues are resolved! I came in on a Friday at 12:30PM and got my food in under 5 minutes! The brisket was PERFECT! The sauces are delicious! The place is still spotless and the owners are very nice! Glad I gave this place a second chance!

Ryan D.

Yelp
I watched Heaven's Barbeque On Earth ever since they started building, and I finally got the chance to eat there. I brought my husband along with me. The menu here is large, and it took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to order. We got a bunch of items to try. We got the St. Louis style ribs, pulled pork, brisket, cornbread, sweet potato fries, and the macaroni and cheese. The meats were very tender and fatty, just the way we ordered them. You could taste the smoke flavor in the meats, especially the brisket. The sides were very good as well. The employees were very nice and joked around with the customers. Everything was delicious, and I can't wait to come back for some more!

Jeanne H.

Yelp
Made with love great barbecue and fried chicken soul food. Amazing service. Where the staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and what is left with to order. Spacious restaurant for family style meals. Portions are great to share. Gender specific bathrooms with multiple stalls. Free parking

Christy M.

Yelp
I've been passing this place on the way to pick up my son for the better part of a year and I finally had the chance to try it. They have been open for about 10 months now. Ohmigod. AMAZING. This is a family owned business. Chris, owners' son, greeted me as soon as I entered. He politely and thoroughly answered any questions I had about the menu. I decided on the brisket sandwich and it was excellent. I would definitely order it again. I had the Mac and cheese as my side and I splurged on the turtle cheesecake for dessert. Minus the nuts it was delicious. I'd order that again as well. The pit master came out to talk to all of us who were dining inside (Tony), and he is super nice plus a fantastic chef. I am already looking forward to a return visit. I can't believable my parents live right near here and they have not tried them yet! I've already suggested they come here for dinner tomorrow night! You should too!

Cristel M.

Yelp
I'll preface this by saying I'm not a fan of barbecue -- I don't like BBQ sauce or even the smell of most BBQ places. So I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived for lunch and the place actually smelled good! I ordered a pulled chicken sandwich without sauce and topped it with coleslaw, just to add some moisture. The meat was very tender and I enjoyed my sandwich! I had previewed the menu online and was looking forward to trying their hush puppies, but when I ordered at the counter, they said hush puppies aren't on the menu. Instead, I tried a side of mac and cheese. It was good, but the noodles were definitely on the mushy side. I still enjoyed it, though! Everyone I know who's eaten here has raved about it, so if you're a BBQ fan, this place should probably be on your list!

Yelp
Thank Heavens (literally)! The north 'burbs now boasts a South Side-inspired BBQ joint that does not emulate the stereotypical Texas shack. It's not a chain restaurant, either. It's homespun, owned and operated by one of the nicest families you'd ever want to meet. All generations pitch in. The storefront, previously occupied by a Thai restaurant that relocated in 2016, is spacious and simply but attractively decorated. In addition to the full-size dining room, a waiting area for carryout orders offers ample seating. You order and pay at the counter, and a server brings the food to your table. The sensibly priced a la carte menu features more options than most BBQ joints. Meats are available in various quantities. You can have 1/3, 1/2 or a full slab of ribs; and ¼, 1/2 or one pound of brisket. Ditto the portion sizes of BBQ chicken and chicken wings. A generous assortment of apps and side dishes rounds out the menu. We enjoyed the ability to create our own combo meals. Our threesome ordered and shared several items. Nearly all were topnotch. Meats are imbued with just the right amount of smoke flavor and are very juicy. We sampled both the baby back and St. Louis ribs (the latter are meatier). The rib meat is neither fall-off-the-bone nor tough or sinewy. For the brisket, you can choose between fatty and lean (or in between). The 'in between' still had fair-size chunks of fat, but this is what keeps the meat succulent. Meats can be ordered with a choice of sweet/spicy or mild hickory BBQ sauce, either baked on or self-served from squeeze bottles on each table. A 1/3 slab of ribs and a ¼ chicken ordered with the sauce baked on were very messy to eat, so in the future we will do our own anointing. The baked beans, coleslaw and cornbread were superb; the sweet potato fries were average. A tantalizing menu of 'home-made' bakery desserts, conspicuously displayed, begs our indulgence for future visits. This fabulous eatery gets three very enthusiastic "thumbs up!"

Yelp
Great authentic bbq! Their menu allows for you to build your own sampler plate with small to large portions. I ate at 2pm and for anyone that knows bbq, keeping this kind of food juicy and fresh is challenging. They did it right. I ordered everything without sauce and added to meat at the table. I like to first try everything "naked". Glad I did! Brisket: I requested a mix of fatty and lean. Terrific! Tender, just the right amount of smoke, seasoning flavor was perfect. Hot link: very good. Spicy and a good snap. Wings are French fried rather than smoked. Which is fine but I was expecting smoked unbreaded wings. I guess I should have asked before. They were good still. St Louis ribs: seasoned well, tender, and properly cooked! I tried both sauces and they were delicious! Atmosphere: friendly and clean. The rest rooms were probably the cleanest I've seen at a restaurant in a while. They take a lot of pride in what they're doing, and I really appreciate it! I will be back!

Ramesh N.

Yelp
The Beef brisket is heavenly, gives brisket from TX a run for their money. Ribs were also good, but I wish the spices would stand out more. Good sauces. For a little kick, add some Frank's red hot sauce to their hickory sauce. Great service and very clean restaurant. Homemade dessert looked good, but was too full for any else.

Marc M.

Yelp
Amazingly good! Who needs more than two sauces when they are both great? Collards better than I've had in my life, including lots of travel in The South. Closed on Sundays and Mondays (it a family-owned business). When I asked them why they don't have fountain beverages, only bottles, the owner said they want to focus on the food, even if there is more margin with the fountain. Imagine giving up profit for food quality!

Jen J.

Yelp
I was in the mood for some bbq and I was trying to find bbq that was in the area and this place had good reviews on Yelp and Google so I wanted to give it a shot. It was pretty busy at 6:30pm but the service was friendly and its a family run business. The young boys were opening the door for customers and cleaning the tables, grandma was serving food to customers, and her son was on cashier duty. Everyone was really friendly. The brisket was delicious! Moist, tender, and flavorful! The rib tips were good too, but I preferred the brisket. I'm so happy there is a good bbq place in the suburbs!

Amy A.

Yelp
I came here for the first time for lunch today! It was fantastic! I think the menu has some really nice options, and that naturally made it hard to decide. I ended up going with the 1/2 lb of brisket and a small side of Mac and cheese. The brisket was delicious! It was tender, juicy, & had great just right smoky taste. The Mac and cheese was delicious too. I'm looking forward to trying more meat and sides! In addition, we met the owner and she is absolutely lovely! I appreciate that it is a family business, and you can absolutely feel it when you enter the restaurant! I am so excited this restaurant has joined our community, and I can't wait to see it continue to grow and succeed!

Satyam C.

Yelp
Ok I haven't wrote a review in a long while, but this place here...yea. I had zero intention of going here for lunch. Never heard of it. Never came across it in the Yelp universe. I was on my way to pita inn, when I saw the sign for this place out of the corner of my eye at end of a strip mall. The name itself made me pull a hard u-turn and give this place a shot. Nothing makes sense. This place should not be in Buffalo Grove. This place should not be in a strip mall. And heck, if it has BBQ in its name, there should be billowing smoke coming from somewhere or even smell like that when you walk in. But nope. You walk into a very clean dining area the size of Taco Bell but somehow has a welcoming diner feel to it. The people dining there when I was there (2pm Wednesday) looked like they should be at ihop eating a fresh and fruity tutty fruity. So I had minimal expectations. But boy was I wrong. Now let me tell yall how much I love bbq. I've been places in Texas, St. Louis, Atlanta, and obviously Chicago. To the highest rated places. And this here deserves a seat at the table in americas best bbq. Yea. I said it. The collard greens. Even without the ham hocks, the flavor was crisp and fresh. None of that wilted nonsense. The jalapeno cheese cornbread. Savory. Sweet. Spicy. Buttery. Moist. Amazing. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The brisket. Got the fatty end as usual. But this...oh my. Melt in your mouth satisfaction. Had to look around to see if anyone was catching the stupid smile on my face. By now I was thinking about ordering the ribs. Even though I was already getting full. The wings. Ok they were cooked perfectly. But, needed some seasoning or something. The bbq sauces on the table definitely took care of that. But perhaps needs some kinda smoke to it. Just my preference in a bbq joint for wings. Maybe some mild sauce? But so good. On the way out I was talking to the owner I think. Maybe. And even though I could barely breathe, I asked him what kind of dessert he likes from the dessert cooler. He said his wife makes all of them, and it was hard for him to choose, but he did mention the turtle cheesecake I am literally dying to try it, but I can't breathe because I have so much food in me right now. if it is anything like everything else I ate I am going to be happy This place is truly heavens barbecue. in a world where barbecue is very macho, this place makes it welcoming and wonderful. This is going to be one of those places where I return to to try the entire menu eventually. Yeah it's that damn good. Go.

Yelp
Been waiting for this type of restaurant to come along this area , since I always go to Chicago when I have the cravings. I ordered their Rib tips which could add more meat instead of bones , but it was tender and juicy with mild sauce on them, I asked Chris the sons owner which was also named Chris and I ordered from the mom who was very helpful. I also ordered the wings , very tasty and of good size and I ordered one piece of hot links which was very spicy and had good texture . Place was nice and clean which was previously occupied by a Thai restaurant in a strip mall on Dundee in Wheeling, overall would definitely order again, maybe they should put fries under the rib tips and wings with their very good mild sand spicy sauce along with a piece of slice bread or two?

Yelp
I LOVE this family business! Great Southern Hospitality and Amazing Food. My favs are brisket, chicken, collard greens, jalapeño cheddar biscuits ...and of course their phenomenal home-baked desserts!

Yelp
I didn't realize that the BBQ place just opened a few days ago! The decor is clean, open and airy with one booth to the wall and the rest tables and chairs. I wanted to try some dessert when I walked in and decided to even see if I had enough room in my tummy! You place your order at the counter and the young man was very sweet and nice and told us up front the wait is 40 minutes. I drove a long wait and didn't mind the wait, but I noticed a very nice paced line of customers that did not want to wait 40 minutes. They must be from the neighborhood and just walked on out. The wait really was about 20-25 minutes and I really wanted the young man that it is a wait but not 40 minutes. I ordered the baby back ribs a full slab and they cut then into 3 ribs a piece, but the ribs were tender enough to cut with a plastic knife and fork that is provided. I wish I ordered the greens so I'll have to come back. We shared the fries which were hot and crunchy and the mac and cheese was really good. I am surprised the ribs had no rub and no sauce, but they gave us some containers to put the sauce on. The have their own mild sauce and one they call sweet and spicy, but I couldn't find the spicy so I asked for a hot sauce that they didn't have. Oh well, I did go home with some and the next day, made a hot version of the sauce that was really good. My husband had the rib tips he really liked them and finished it all!

Yelp
Pulled pork and coleslaw was as good as I've ever had. Two sauces on the table. Lots more choices on the menu! Dining partner had some beautiful jalapeño corn bread that I'll try next time. Good stuff!

Yelp
Delicious BBQ, finally! The rib tips rival Carson's our normal go to place. The brisket was juicy and super tender. Pulled pork was delish too. Both bbq sauces were tasty. And the hospitality was top notch - everyone is super friendly. Our new go to BBQ spot- definitely recommend. And that warm Carmel cake- no words- leave room for it!

Yelp
Chicago BBQ that can compete with down south! This place is unique, very good BBQ and bomb turtle cheesecake! But it's very expensive even for a BBQ joint. The ribs are stand out and taste unique like they pressure cook them in vinegar or something different than just smoking it so it's great! The brisket was okay as was the mac and cheese and cornbread coming in average. Collard greens were bomb. Good to have good BBQ in Illinois so check em out!

Yelp
Absolutely immaculate! First visit- Food was amazing, very hospitable service, and ambience was homey and inviting! Owners even gifted us pastries! A great place to bring family or a large group or even if you want to take to go for dinner plans. Definitely plan on coming back! Thank you for making our night!

Yelp
The building sign was not lit, someone driving by might think the place is closed. Plenty of parking. The restaurant was clean, in fact the person working the desk continued his cleaning tasks instead of greeting me, or coming to take my order. As I waited the woman in the kitchen packaging orders looked me in the eye multiple times, but never parted her lips with a greeting, though she did peek out likely to gauge why the gentleman hadn't come to take my order. Once I (the customer) became the priority he was very polite, inquiring if this was my first visit I replied in the affirmative & he said "welcome, thank you for dining with us". I am of the belief that bbq sauce is supposed to enhance, not replace seasoning, so I ordered everything with the sauce on the side. Rib Tips: tender meat, the smoke is there, but no seasoning. Hot Link: I'm not sure what this was, but definitely not a hot link. The casing had great snap, but the meat had a weird texture, & wasn't spicy at all. Brisket: salt & pepper would have made all the difference because the meat was moist & tender but bland Macaroni & Cheese: the pasta was not seasoned & overcooked to mush Cornbread: Burned. Moist, not overly sweet, a bit light on corn flavor, even with the one corn kernel Both the Hickory & Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauces are good, if you want a meal with flavor you're definitely going to need them.

Yelp
Amazing food I haven't bbq this good since I lived in the south. Their sauce is to die for and they have great meats and desserts. Owned by a lovely family with great service and very friendly. Cute for a casual date night or carry out!

Yelp
The best food period! Ordered a little bit of everything to taste and ended up catering a party with this food! Honestly, it's sooooo good!

Yelp
This clean and brightly lit restaurant is a bit of an anomaly as it feels like a combination of a food truck with an inside dining area nearby. Everything is served on paper and like a food truck the only way to get a glass of water is to buy a bottle of it. The food however can be first rate, and they offer some genuine Southside barbecue items like collard greens, which are delicious. We have had the back ribs and the rib tips and both have been first rate. The beans however were a bit of a disappointment in that they seemed very plain. I would recommend treating this mostly as a good carry out place.

Yelp
A new place, very nicely decorated. Our food (pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket sandwich, sweet potato fries, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, corn bread) was delicious. The owners are super friendly. Just a tip: there is no free tap water but you can buy a bottled water or soda.

Yelp
First time here, in the mood for barbecue. Did not disappoint - pulled pork, baby back ribs, and a hot link, so good! Great smoked flavor, good sauce. Mac n cheese was a bit mushy, but nicely flavored. Turtle cheesecake to go, heavenly! Very decadent! Love that it's all made from scratch in-house. Roomy seating area, and a very nice chat with one of the family members running the place. We'll be back to try out more - the brisket, corn bread, baked beans, St. Louis ribs, and another of the desserts. Looking forward to it. :)

Yelp
We catered in trays of pulled pork and pulled chicken for a family gathering. It was well prepared and the hickory BBQ sauce is to die for! They were super helpful in the catering order process and pickup was a breeze. Everything was hot and ready for us and it was a total hit at our party. Even people who don't normally like pork kept coming back for seconds and thirds! We'll be catering from them again soon! As an aside, their chicken fingers on the kids menu are huge and super tasty. My kiddos specifically ask for them. :)

Yelp
Cornbread was fabulous, as well as the rib tips. The very expensive for the portion size, brisket was as dry as can be....pretty awful.... We didn't eat most of it, but mixed with kibble, our dog loved it. Collard greens were sweet, which was a shock! They should be slightly tangy....they need some acid, not sugar. Those got tossed out. The side salad was well-made, very fresh and delicious! It was very expensive overall, given the questionable quality of some items. Won't be ordering again, any time soon.

Yelp
Really solid. I don't write reviews anymore but I want to support this really solid BBQ spot. Good quality on everything. Ordered a bunch and I liked everything. St. louis ribs - Impressed with the quality. Not a ton of smoke flavor but good. Brisket - Got medium fat. The leaner pieces were as expected but the medium fat was perfect. Again, not a ton of smoke but the flavor was simple and delicious. You can add sauce based on your preference Hot Links - Very good. Collared Greens - Sweet and simply good Sweet Potato Fries - I devoured these. Crispy! Cornbread - standard and fresh. Mac and Cheese - Kid loved it. Simple but good Will come again!

Yelp
Great new place we stumbled across. Ordered Rib tips, Pulled Pork, Brisket along with several sides. It was a carry out order and everything was packed well and nothing was missing. We all enjoyed our delicious meal. Very polite and friendly staff as well. Family owned and operated and most definitely going back

Yelp
5 stars all around. We had a pulled pork sandwich, pulled chicken sandwich, baby back ribs, and chicken wings for the meat. Aaaaaaamazing! The best coleslaw I've had in a very long time. I even bought a second coleslaw to take home. My hubby loved the jalapeño corn. He said it was phenomenal. Give this place a try! Get your BBQ catering here.
