Nice vibes at Heavy Rotation! I decided it would be the perfect spot to study for finals (I can't focus in pure silence..unfortunately). This place was the perfect balance - not too rowdy, but a decent crowd. There was also a great selection of beer and access to the internet. Fan of the Lean Into It and the $10 flights on Tuesdays. The Music Trivia was great to listen in on, as well!

Google
What a gem this place is in Brooklyn Park. They deliver on their namesake with constantly introducing new beers as others roll off the menu. They have a surprising variety of ales and lagers for a brewery this size. A great mix of classic examples of their various styles as well as some risk taking aggressive spins on some. Most more important is the quality. They are punching out some great brews that are clean, no funk, and taste spectacular! Don't worry about food as they usually have a food truck and there are plenty of options next door or close by. Bonus points for their ongoing support for the Brooklyn Park Fire Department.

Google
Really good brewery with pleasant employees. Beers were very good but being a home brewer and a craft beer snob not exceptional. I had three of their top beers and they were very tasty but didn't say I have to come back for more. Remember I'm a beer snob.

Lots of unique and refined flavors. Food next door delivers. Fun place with a nice patio and a lot of variety. Friendly, helpful staff to make recommendations.

Google
Great spot with great beers. Had a cascaduan dark lager (not ale) that is super delicious. The sofa kineg hazy was also great. Will be back.

Google
Great beer! Staff was great and nicely accommodated our big party. I love the music theme. Some gems on the wall you wouldn't expect and kinda like music trivia looking at the menu. I also love that you don't have to guess what food delivers there. Menus everywhere with QR codes to order and there's even more than they mention. Everyone had something different and delicious looking. Patio looked great for summer. Oh, and live plants!

Google
Nice atmosphere indoors & outdoors! Dog & family friendly. Great service and incredible beers! Live music & a good food truck here today, as well as great (and various kinds of) beer!

Disappointed by Unexpected Cover Charge We’ve been frequent visitors to Heavy Rotation Brewery’s and have always enjoyed the great beer and atmosphere. However, on our last visit, we were surprised to be asked to pay a fee just to enter because there was a comedy show happening. We only wanted to have a drink, as we’ve done many times before, and weren’t planning to attend the show. Aa regular customers like us, we don’t check a brewery’s website to see what’s happening, it’s just beer, right? We were caught off guard. We like this place, but this experience was disappointing. Hopefully, in the future, there’s an option for those who just want to enjoy a drink without having to pay for an event they didn’t plan to attend.

Yelp
We headed to this brewery for a Puzzle Contest. Sarah Does Puzzles was hosting a Saturday afternoon event. The brewery was very accommodating. Our teams of four took up most of the tables but bar, rail and outdoor seating was available for non-contest participants. Staff was helpful in choosing beers and offering tastes. I chose an IPA which was smooth and hoppy. The openness of the brewery and exposed vats seemed to energize the area. Good lighting for puzzling. Had a great time!

Yelp
Heavy Rotation hosts an open mic for local artists that's well worth checking out! It was middle of Sunday afternoon so there was no food, but the menu looked great. The beer menu is complete too, something for everyone. The service is friendly and attentive even in the middle of the open mic event. It's a nice place with a modern look, great space to meet friends, and easy to find a close parking spot. I'd strongly recommend giving it a chance!

Yelp
True to their name, the high volume and variety of taps sets this group apart. Their focus is on offering a new line up of taps multiple times a month. This is a great place to visit once but will reward to repeat patron. I spoke with one of the owners for a while before meeting one of my clients. What a cool and down to earth dude. If that's the caliber of of one owner, I can only assume the others are good dudes. Thanks for the great conversation and the great beer. Kudos for the "B.P. Pale Ale" - a great afternoon hazy to cap the day.

Yelp
Nice open brewery with lots of events and regular food trucks. The bar tenders were very helpful and didn't mind me asking 100 questions or getting a taste of something. They've got a nice sized patio that allows dogs. No pups inside, though. The beer was all pretty good. One of the better Vienna lagers around but not much worth driving 30 minutes for when there are closer options to the cities. If I lived in the northern exburbs I'd be here pretty often.

Yelp
Great brews & vibes are found here! Nice outdoor area to enjoy a brew, relax with your dog & visit with friends! Lots of games and special events (note to self: be sure to check their website for great live music). Nice service at the bar. Food truck rotation (check online to see when your fav will be parked in front! Today it was Cocina Street Tacos

Yelp
The location of this brewery is perfect! Just North of Highway 610 in a growing part of the community. The patio is spacious and dog friendly. The internal space is lofty and large but can get loud easily. The assortment consistently rotates, creating a unique experience every time. Due to its location, there is always plenty of parking. A great addition to this part of town!

Yelp
A pretty decent brewery with some good options. I came here between a wedding ceremony and reception. My husband enjoyed some of the sours and I appreciated that there were non-alcoholic options.

Yelp
First impressions: clean, quiet, easy to find. Not a of games actually. In fact there's one pinball machine, but, there's trivia on Thursdays at 7. Beer impressions: Vacationer: it's good. It's actually really good. Good thing it comes in a 10 oz because it's fairly thick BP Pale: can't say I'm a huge fan to be honest. Probably because it's 45 ibu, but if you're into IPAs you'll enjoy it. Hype Man: my buddy said it tastes like a basement. Claims that's some sort of code for beer reviews. But honestly, this is amazing beer. It's well bodied, not hoppy, and speaks a ton to the brewer masters skill when you can put this and the two listed above on the same menu. Honestly the worst part about this place is their barstools. Maybe it's just my thick thighs but I was sliding right off those bad boys and had to move to a regular table. Awesome beer though, definitely will be back.

Yelp
There is a new brewery in Brooklyn Park and they are out the gates swinging! This craft brewery is a WELCOMED addition to the neighborhood. At first I wasn't sure what to expect as far as beer selection with a relatively small brewing system but they are cranking out a huge variety of beers in the somewhat small, yet open space featuring some music themed art and an arcade game. There is also a solid outdoor space. I tried a few different beers on my first visit. My favorites being the "Tasty Waves" West Coast IPA and "Snack Pack" Pasty Stout.

Matthew J.

Yelp
While in the area, I stopped by the newest brewery in Brooklyn Park, @heavyrotationbrewing. They are a nano brewery with a 3.5bbl system. Their beer menu was split into categories of Something Hoppy, Something Different, Easy Going, Dark/Roasty, and Hard Water. I chose to go with a flight of four of their beers to cover four of the categories (didn't give their Hard Water a shot). Took me a while to pick from their Something Different as it contained many mix-ups on traditional styles, but liked the choices I made. Buzzcut Season: A DDH Hazy IPA using 100 percent NZ hops. Floral and citrusy with notes of melon, apricot, and grapefruit. A thicker mouthfeel, but still smooth. Even with such intense tropical fruit flavors it is not overly sweet and is well balanced with bitterness. The Get Up: A Coffee Golden Ale with Get Down Coffee and Toasted Coconut added. Pleasant roasty bitterness from the coffee that reminds me of a blonde roast coffee. However, the bitterness is not overwhelming and doesn't overpower the toasted coconut that comes through on both aroma and the finish. My favorite of the four beers! Farmer Frank's: A classic Cream Ale. Very low hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness as is to be expected. Low sweet corn flavor, and a doughy malt aroma. A lawn mower beer that begs for summer weather. Snack Pack: A Pastry Stout with Raspberry and Vanilla. Mildly malty with heavy sweetness from the vanilla and raspberry. Very reminiscent of a semi-sweet chocolate covered raspberry. Great for dessert, and would love to see how it would taste being paired with chocolates or used to bake a dessert (raspberry brownie or pudding anyone!?!?!).

Yelp
When you first walk in, it's a friendly and fun atmosphere and feel. When it's busy, it can be a little packed, but still a ton of fun! They've got a great outdoor patio and the location is convenient and easy. Their beer is fantastic, with a regular rotation of selections moving through there every month or two. The brewer definitely knows his stuff and comes up with some amazing foundational beers for Heavy as well as going outside the norm with some great varieties. There's a beer, sour, or seltzer for everyone!! We've been been plenty of times and we'll be back plenty more!!

Kimberly F.

Yelp
This is a nice clean brewery with great lighting and a nice open seating area. It's a dog friendly place with lots of beer choices. We decided to get several flights with so many choices. The bartender was friendly and got our flight's together quickly. Stand out choices for us were Good Vibrations winter warmer, how we do it fruited sour and call it what you want peanut butter stout. We really liked the flavors and my husband got a good vibrations to go. We will go back and see what different flavors they have.

Ryan M.

Yelp
Been coming here almost since they opened last year and it's always a good time! They have a great lineup and variety of beer and, as their name infers, they rotate beers relatively frequently. So there's always something new to try when you go! They don't have a kitchen (since they're dog-friendly) but they have pre-packaged snacks and in the warmer seasons, they have regular food trucks outside! They also have a ton of great restaurants nearby and you can order them right to the brewery and eat inside. They've got a couple arcade games inside, pull tabs, and plenty of TV's to catch whatever game is on as well. Service is always friendly and the place is always clean!

Yelp
I put together a small gathering of friends to check out Brooklyn Park's new brewery -- part of my never-ending quest to sample every Minnesota brewery. We sat out front despite the wind that day, but there are nice garage doors that open the clean, modern interior of the building to the parking lot. The vibe that Sunday evening was pretty laid-back, but we just missed a band who was packing up, and the food truck stopped serving at 5 pm (why so early?!), so we ordered a few beers and chatted for 90 minutes. I wasn't a huge fan of the IPA offerings on tap, which isn't unusual for a new brewery. Hopefully they will continue to innovate and learn how to scale-up superior recipes. The High Hat DIPA, Lean Into It IPA, and Nice Dreams Milkshake IPA all earned middling 3.25/3.50 scores from me on UnTappd, but I'll stop by again this winter to see how they're progressing, as I love solid neighborhood breweries. So 4.5 for the tap room, offset by a 3.5 for the beer.

Yelp
We stopped at Heavy Rotation during a recent visit to Minneapolis. Excellent beer, fun vibe, welcoming staff. I loved the Sunrise Cirrus Wheat and the ***award winning*** London Calling. Special events--trivia, meat raffles--food trucks, merch, succulents! I will be back.

Jeff A.

Yelp
The beer, staff, atmosphere, patio space are all great things about this brewery! But the meat raffles, music trivia and live music are the things that set them apart! My friends, family, co-workers love coming here because everyone is so friendly! Here is also a great little restaurant right next door that will deliver the food right to you! Highly recommend HR! P.S. If you're an IPA fan, this is the brewery for you!

Yelp
Stopped in on Sunday, I was very excited a brewery opened up in the neighborhood. Off the bat, I love the vibe! Every one was friendly, I loved seeing all the adorable puppies and kids enjoying the outdoor patio. There is a parking lot with plenty of parking in front. The staff was very friendly, I was greeted as I walked through the door. There was plenty of seating and tables inside and out. They were pretty packed, but after I had my beer I realized why everyone was so happy to be here. The line was out the door and moved fairly fast. Heavy rotation offered a great selection that will fit and accommodate all brew lovers. Like most breweries, you are welcome to bring your own food but they do offer snacks for purchase (pretzels is what I saw). I gave the Vacationer a try. This is a wheat ale. OMG it was so delicious! You could definitely taste the tropical fruit in it but it was not over powering. I loved how you you were left with a slight coconut taste. It was definitely a vacation in my mouth. I cannot wait to go back and try the others on their menu. If you are in the area and want some good beer stop by you will not be disappointed.

Claire B.

Yelp
The area is nice, the patio is lovely and the beers are alright. There wasn't any that I can remember by name or that really stuck. I've gone around 6 times and tried a good deal but nothing I had wasn't drinkable. It's all decent beer, which is a nice change for a Brooklyn Park Brewery.

Drew J.

Yelp
Passing through just for the night. Definitely a cool neighborhood spot. Tried a stout. Fantastic! Most nostalgic fun in a while - the free Nintendo arcade game!

Mike T.

Yelp
Seeing how this was our first visit to this brewery, I had 2 flights of 4. I enjoyed 5 out of the 8 beers sampled. Very impressive!

Jon K.

Yelp
Randomly stopped by to check them out. Great rotation (pun intended) of beers. Got a flight and liked all four. Cool beer names with the record theme. Will certainly be back. Really well done, especially for a two month old brewery.

Crystal C.

Yelp
They close at 10pm so be there by 9:30pm for last call. Lights out at 10pm. They are not cleaning up, etc. at 10pm as last beer sales isn't at 10pm. Didn't feel welcomed and was stared down by staff just walking in. Staff contemplating selling a crowler at 9:45pm which is to go, so it definitely wouldn't impact lights out at 10pm. They did eventually say it would be okay, but thought that would be a no brainer as it's additional income. Also beers are expensive. Food truck hours are not listed on website and isn't updated regularly. Not one of our preferred breweries unfortunately.

Norman F.

Yelp
Official Opening Day! Started with Tasty Waves, a west coast IPA, and it was a tasty brew. Great staff nice patio and interior. Food truck just arrived. A must visit on the brewery circuit. Also, (number two) Lean Into It, a hazy IPA, delicious!

Ted T.

Yelp
Overpriced flight..$15? For 4 five ounce pours? Beer was average at best. New and clean... but I wont be back

Brian N.

Yelp
Went there for my first time recently. Dog-friendly, which always makes a brewpub more appealing to me. Love the dogs. Tried a couple of beers, loved them. And trivia on that particular night. That's all I need!
