"Hecho en Vegas, the Mexican restaurant at the MGM Grand, closes permanently in early November. The restaurant located in the resort’s District close to the pools originally opened in December 2013 with dishes from the Flores family, who run El Charro Cafés and Sir Veza’s Taco Garage in the Tucson area. The brightly colored cantina features a large mural in the middle of the room and a geometric art creation that reaches to the ceiling. An indoor patio at the front offers prime views of those getting off the Monorail or heading to the MGM Grand Garden Arena. When the Flores family influenced the menu, diners could find a chimichanga that USA Today named one of the best plates in America with guacamole, pico de charro, red and green enchilada sauce, sour cream, queso casero, and arroz y frijoles. Other dishes found at the restaurant include tamales with chicken, beef, or corn and a taco salad. More than 100 tequilas line the walls. MGM Resorts did not tease what could take the place of the 10,000-square-foot restaurant. Hecho en Vegas remains open Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m." - Susan Stapleton

Nice little spot if you're in a hurry, we got seated, sat and ordered, and finished in about 30 to 45 minutes. We were in a hurry to make a scheduled meetup. The food was good, I wouldn't say great or worth 2x the regular prices anywhere else, but it was good. The steak fajitas had flavor and the chicken brown was good my wife said. The chips were, the salsa Verde was good but the red one was chipotle and wasn't that great, wish they had a more traditional mexican salsa.

HOLY GUACAMOLE. The guac was amazing. That was the best thing they had IMO. The Salsa was not spicy, it was OK. The Chips were decent. We had a Mango Marg & a Mango LOCO. They were tasty & STRONG. The server was friendly & delightful. He recommended the BARBACOA MOLE enchiladas & Chicken AL PASTOR. The Enchiladas were delicious, the rice was good & the black beanz were OK. The tacos were really good. OVERALL: J L would return 👌

This place is fantastic. We were here at the MGM for a Pepe Aguilar concert and had some time to kill. Perfect time for a drink and some appetizers. Heche en Vegas was the perfect spot. It's right next to the Grand Garden Arena entrance. Ordered the 24oz mojito, the ceviche, and the queso fundido and all were magnificent. Prices are pretty good for a strip restaurant and the bar is self seating, good for when the restaurant itself has a waiting list and you have a concert to attend very soon.

Fancy restaurant located in MGM Grand hotel! There seems to be only a couple vegetarian options on the menu but if you ask your server they will give you a couple other choices. The portions sizes are fairly large so careful when ordering. Some dishes are good to share. Order the guacamole and there is someone who will come to your table and make it fresh in front of you.

We ordered the nachos. It looks delicious. It tasted just okay. The guacamole was good. There were hardly any black olives, maybe 2 on the whole plate. They should use a wider platter too. The chips on top had a good amount of toppings but we were left with a bunch of chips on the bottom with nothing on them. And it doesn’t come with salsa so we only then had plain boring chips to eat. I think if they could have spread the chips out more there was enough toppings for them all but with the design of the dish if didn’t work out that way. I wasn’t impressed. I also got a tequila touchdown from their specials page on the table. It was it was tequila, time juice, grapefruit juice, and ginger ale. I was imagining a tequila type Moscow mule. But it tasted just like a margarita. There was no fizz at all. Over all, very average restaurant and nothing to write home about. In Vegas where there is no shortage of amazing food, don’t waste your time here.

Inside MGM near its food court, the place is usually not too busy compared to other restaurants so it's good for groups at last minute, but like others too pricey for the food. The food itself is okay, but nothing amazing or special, and chips and salsa cost extra, but they make guacamole at your table. Good place to get a drink at the bar.

Me and my 3 friends thought of going this Mexican restaurant as we love Mexican. Overall we had lovely experience. Server was amazing, delivered excellent customer service. Guacamole they offered was very tasty, best part is they make it right in front of you. Taste was very authentic. Green salsa was very flavourful. I had bit of all (taco, salad, burrito, chicken), it was so uplifting.

Absolutely amazing spot for Mexican good. The guacamole is made fresh in front of your eyes and to your liking. They have deals on their delicious cocktails so it doesn't work out so expensive. Lastly, the food is phenomenal and very fresh. The service is impeccable, the only problem is their limited opening hours as i would have literally eaten every single meal here. They have a huge gluten free range of options without compromising deliciousness. See Wahaca, it can be done.
