North Fayetteville’s indie brewery leans into community—think pub runs, paint nights, and a friendly taproom serving house beers, guest ciders, and easygoing pub eats. A solid stop between downtown and the northern neighborhoods.

This is the spot to go on the weekends or weekdays you don’t feel like cooking! The staff is phenomenal and really contribute to the laid back family style feel, which is refreshing and made me feel like I was visiting a friends house! Try the strawberry dagger if you’re in the mood for an interestingly sweet IPA I loved it!!! We will definitely become regulars here, can’t wait to see where this place goes!

Google
Saw this place while out running errands so decided to stop in. I ordered the Commander in Beef sandwich (cold). Well worth it, great proportions of meat and veggies for the price. I ordered the Better IPA and the Red Heckler. The Better IPA had great flavor and a great bite for those that prefer a sharper bite from their IPAs. The Red Heckler was my favorite of the two. It reminded me a lot of the red ales I had in Europe, which I feel has been hard to find in the US. The bartender, Mecca, was great and had many great conversations with us. I definitely recommend checking this place out and will definitely be going back.

Google
The pizza was excellent and exceeded my expectations. The staff provided outstanding service, and the bar team stood out with their knowledge and enthusiasm about the beer they brew in-house. They made the experience fun and engaging. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to others.

Google
A great, neighborhood-feel bar. I went on a Saturday night and had a draft beer and a pizza. The bartender was very nice, the beer tasty. Pizza was great! They use NY water to make the pizza dough so the crust is flaky and delicious.

Had really high hopes after reading the other reviews. Ended up having a decent time overall. Went on a random Wednesday evening. Place was pretty busy. Only 1 bartender and 2 people in the kitchen so despite all being super friendly, everything took an excessive amount of time. 10-15 minutes standing in line to place a food or drink order. Each food item took 45 minutes or more to come out...some an hour. Across our group of 8, half were dissatisfied with their food for one reason or another. On a positive note, their beers are solid. They focus their in-house offerings around European styles, and that's where they do well. If you're an IPA person, you probably won't be thrilled (but they do have a variety of IPA cans available). If you can appreciate a variety of styles, you'll find something you like. I particularly liked the porter and the cream ale on tap.

Google
Veteran and locally owned. Never disappointed. 100%Grade A rating. Very unique menu items. Great pizzas. Great sandwiches. Great Rueben Egg rolls. Lots to choose from! Their draft beers are brewed by Heckler and easy to find one enjoyable to individual tastes.

Google
Must have to visit! Great beer, cool people and very positive atmosphere. Definitely new place to meet friends and try a new variety of fresh beer. Love it. My favorite taste is XB Cream Ale. Staff had been super customer oriented. Truly recommend this place! Would be cool if they will add a few tables outside in the shade, will increase the capacity.

Yelp
We came for the beer lol. Loved the fact everything was "self served." You order at the bar and when your food is ready, you just go and pick it up at the "window" area. They have a restaurant area and a bar area. Plenty of games for the kids to play and clean bathrooms! And there's plenty of parking available too.

Yelp
The brewery was close to our adventure at Zip Quest in Fayetteville NC where we just concluded a two hour zip line tour. It was a great time to have a cold beer. There were about 10 choices and after a couple of free samples I ordered their stout beer. It went well with the bbq chicken pizza. I was told by the brew master that they use their beer when making the fresh dough for the pizzas they make at the restaurant. It was a good touch.

Yelp
Checking out this new brewery. Some good tasting brews. My fav was the farmhouse ale. Order everything at the bar and take a seat. Didn't try any food but read it was good. Next time.

Yelp
Always amazing food and staff. Best pizza (dough is made from scratch) and wings around. Reuben egg rolls are made in house and a great appetizer or meal. Pretzels and pretzel bites also made from scratch in house and always delicious. Especially with the side of beer cheese. Sandwiches are always great and filling. Family friendly.

Yelp
We stopped here in route home to Raleigh area. The staff were friendly, the brews were tasty, and the food was surprisingly good! Love the crispy tater tots! Nice large space to bring a crowd and watch a game.

Yelp
Allll the beers!! This place has a great selection of delicious craft beers! Highly recommend if you like to try something different (I'm from out of state, obviously). I wasn't a big fan of the Philly Cheesesteak, but friends had other dishes like the wings that were delicious! I would definitely go back for the delicious beer, wings, and the relaxed atmosphere!

Yelp
Not a bad place at all - typical bar food, tvs, & beer. Order at the bar & pick up your food when they yell your name. Clean up after yourself: Put your dirty dishes & cups in a bin.

Yelp
We had their food delivered and it was good. When traveling in the road, it can be hard to find good food.

Yelp
Pros: Extensive beer menu. Exactly what you'd expect from a brewery. Did some exploring around the area, and came across this brewery. The beer is delicious, and their flight holders are very unique. Cons: Tried doing some work on my computer, apparently they don't have guest wifi. So if you're lone wolfing trying to do some work, I'd recommend just coming here for a Glass Growler to go. Service: Service is great. Workflow right now is slow. Recommendations: Add WiFi for guests. The longer they stay *responsibly, the better it is for business.

Yelp
I think this place is nice to meet up with friends but I wouldn't recommend coming alone , The beer was amazing; the food too...

Yelp
Best staff, good food, I go here every weekend with my parents and the staff know them by name! I love the pizza here

Yelp
Heckler is one of my favorite breweries to explore and is a must visit brewery when you come to Fayetteville. The beers on tap are amazing! They just started to serve food as a soft opening and everything that I have tried so far has been amazing! I recommend the southwest egg rolls and the fried pickles! The service here is always amazing! The bartenders and cooks have amazing ambiance and energy!

Yelp
What can I say that already hasn't been said (except for what this Michelle G character said, no idea what she's going on about)!? Heckler is a community mainstay and is a great place to drink beer, be merry, AND NOW have a bite to eat! The setting is plenty relaxed yet open enough to encourage socialization with other guests. Danny and Sarah (the owners) have done a great job building this brewery and creating a community welcoming Hecklers, foodies, and beer enjoyers! The new menu is the bomb dot com. The southwest eggrolls are incredible, and the pizza is exactly what I need when I'm kicking a few back... the pricing is on point for what you get! You can tell they know their stuff with how consistent their beer is and the variety of in-house beers they have on tap! They also have a solid rotation of seasonal beers, which are consistent year to year when they return. Moreover, they also have a great list of local beers, but I will say if you're at Heckler, you might as well be drinking Heckler, but I won't fault you for trying others :).

Yelp
The wings were absolutely delightful, and the selection of beer was top-notch. However, the wait time for our food was quite long. It could be because there was a considerable crowd that evening.

Yelp
This is a small family owned business. This is very military friendly. They have beer from all over and they also make their own. It does not smell like yeast inside which is really nice. Their beer is very good and they are thinking of opening a larger location that's how good they are doing right now. They have a variety of beers from sours to IPAs to more. Their bathrooms are clean it's easy to find and there's plenty of parking this is at the end of a strip mall.

Yelp
I love this place. Stumbled over it a couple months after it opened and am thankful I did! Great beer, and the staff are super friendly. Wish I had thought to give them the 5 stars they're due sooner! More down to earth than other breweries in the greater Fayetteville area that have developed the hoity toity, "if you don't have a man bun, we don't want your business" attitude. Heckler welcomes people of all backgrounds; man buns, crew cuts, dreadlocks, and everything between! Heckle responsibly!

Yelp
I just happened to find Heckler when I visited the little wine and beer shop in the same center. If you like beer and/or breweries, you should definitely check it out! They're new (in business ~6 months or so), so the majority of their 15 taps are still occupied by guest brews. But they do have six of their own on offer, with a new (strawberry) beer that just went in the bright tank and should be available in the next couple of weeks. It's a small joint with much of the equipment right out in the open in the front (which I think gives it a cool atmosphere). They don't serve food, but you can order anything from the restaurant next door (Scrub Oak Pub) and they'll gladly bring it over. Go have a beer!

Yelp
Stumbled upon the taproom and so glad I did. Larry behind the counter and a few gents at the tables were eager to steer me toward a beer I might like based on my described tastes, and it turns out... via a few samples... I like a lot of what Heckler has to offer. Great little atmosphere, bought a growler (and so glad I did), and can't wait to go back and try some additional offerings. Be sure to check out an awesome web site that offers way more than you'd think. Local taproom that supports local teams and all with great class (and taste). Well done, Hecklers!

Yelp
Great beer, love the new space. New pizza recipe is awesome. They do have a limited menu since they just opened in this new spot, but said they are going to add more as they get up to full speed. Ambiance and service are straight forward. Order at the bar or counter and they call you when its ready. If you're a snob (like Michelle G) who doesn't like beer and simple food, then keep on moving.

Rachel C.

Yelp
We love this place! Food and beer are always amazing! Definitely try the tots and Octoberfest!! We love having a fun and good place on the north side of town.

Michelle G.

Yelp
I am not much of a beer drinker. Food is blah and when I asked if they served wine the first person didn't know. Finally I was told to ask the bartender, who told me they didn't have a wine list and pointed to the few bottles. I chose the Cabernet Savignon. Put 2 4 oz on my tab . When I closed the tab I discovered each glass was $17. When I confirmed this was not an error I was told they are trying to get rid of what was there when they took over the new space. Had I known I could have gone next door to Scrub Oaks or Grapes and Hops and purchased even a bottle for less than $34. If you enjoy blah limited menu and $34 or 8 oz of wine it's your place. Not mine I will continue to enjoy ScrubOaks and Grapes and Hop's in the future.

Yelp
Great place! Good beer selection! So glad there is a place on this side of town to hang out at!

Mel F.

Yelp
Great find! Will most definitely return. The GM, Kim, was working the bar, absolutely awesome! Friendly! 16 beers to choose from - and not all IPA's either! Atmosphere was chill, good background music, great beer.

Michael F.

Yelp
Great beer, very friendly staff. Did not order any of the food, but from what I saw everything looked pretty good.

Tim H.

Yelp
Great brewery atmosphere! Laid back and welcoming! Thanks for being such a cool part of the community!

Bobby D.

Yelp
Very non-descript location in north part of town. The beer is outstanding and the folks running it are proud and friendly. The selection is pretty extensive for such a small brewery...you can even get some wine and a margarita. Being from Colorado, I'm a little bit of a beer snob so I check out the little places. Highly recommend!!

Jeremy C.

Yelp
Nice brewery in North Fayetteville. Close to home which is very convenient. I've tried a number of their house beers, as well as guest beers, and there's always something on tap that I enjoy. No food available but you can order food from one of the restaurants in the same shopping/dining complex to complete your drinking experience. Friendly staff and great atmosphere where you can actually here your friends while talking....good prices too. Definitely recommend this spot.
