The food, service, and view are all wonderful. We were there for lunch - we didn't stay here. One problem, the bathroom is completely inaccessible for someone with a mobility issue. Thankfully, the staff allowed my husband to use an unoccupied room but otherwise it would have been a disaster. I'd love to go there again - it was beyond wonderful but can't see taking anyone with a mobility issue there.

I had an amazing stay of 9 nights at the Hotel Heinitzburg. The service is amazing, the people that work there are very very nice and read your needs from your lips before you say them. They are all very kind and the Food that is beeing served at all meals is always of the upmost quality and tastes delicious every time. I already miss this Hotel. It is one of the best I have ever been to in my life. They also assisst you in finding activities and can serve you with whatever need you have. very clean and beautifully designed rooms. Truly an amazign and stunning Hotel. Both from the outside and from the inside. Can recommend everyone who stays in Windhoek this Hotel and/ore the restaurant Leo's at the Castle.

Excellent hotel and restaurant: the grounds and views are beautiful; rooms are clean,  well-kept and nicely decorated; food is amazing (the beef dish was exceptional); and staff very attentive and kind

Very comfortable spacious room with ensuite bathroom. Wonderful staff, good restaurant with incredible views over Windhoek. At night, the twinkling lights of the city make it look like Christmas.

The best view over Windhoek! But not only the view convinces! Marvelous food, very good service and a very nice ambience completed the whole visit! Thank you very much!!!

We stopped here on the way from Johannesburg to a safari camp near Etosha National Park. Very comfortable beds, not too close to the airport so not terribly convenient for overnight stay. Staff is very kind and attentive. Rooms on the street side are quite noisy at night and early morning.

One star for a view, second for the castle. My visit after a few years was a bit of disappointment. Yes, the castle is splendid, views stunning and rooms nice designed. But there is no mini bar nor even a fridge, also lack of coffee and tea facilities. In my room two of the lights didn't work. In the restaurant waiters are perfectly trained, but the serving is deadly slow. Our dinner took 2 hours, mostly of waiting; at the end of the day we cancelled the desserts. Food is above average, altough my kingklip was overcooked and dry (checked twice). I hope the management will take better care.

The hotel was so good we came back at the end of our holiday for an extra two nights.|The food is excellent and complimented by an extensive wine list. |It has an incredible view overlooking Windhoek and the gorgeous sunsets.|We also loved the breakfast which comes included. It’s a buffet breakfast, best enjoyed outside on the terrace with a newspaper and complimentary glass of bubbly! |The staff and manager were very welcoming and tended to our every need. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye to both them and the hotel.
